  1. PS - I'm wondering if installing an Android emulator on your PC and running the authenticator application there would circumvent the problem...
  2. I recently played SWG on one of the private servers. I'd say that Tatooine and Hoth in SWTOR are arguably at least as big as the planets in SWG, if not bigger. AND they actually have stuff in them. Having said that, there are certain elements I enjoyed in SWG. All in all though, SWTOR is a much better game in my opinion.
  3. Heh. You people at least get to complain about the price. I from Ireland (that's where the EU servers are located) can't even order the authenticator.
  4. You probably think this way because many MMOs who use the F2P model do so because they are not good enough to convince people to subscribe to them. SWTOR clearly is good enough. Changing the paymend model wouldn't make SWTOR a worse game.
  5. I wouldn't mind. I enjoy the game very much, but don't have the time to play it every day. I feel that my money is better spent if I pay only when I have enough time and dedication. I will play the game regardless, of course, but I'd oprefer it was F2P.
  6. I think we might have found the problem...
  7. Bioware have stated that they will consolidate servers.
  8. I agree - such a system would be very useful.
  9. Yes. I played WoW when the automated LFG tool was introduced there and it ruined the community. I don't want the same to happen here. It's related to your last point - ninjaing. People generally start behaving like total dcks when they feel protected from any repercussions. Gladly, Bioware have repeatedly stated that the will not introduce an automated cross server LFG tool. The feature implemented in 1.3 will be server limited and not fully automated. A good compromise, I think. Let's see how it turns out.
  10. lol, good one. I wonder how many people actually got that.
  11. My preference: MMOs - themepark (AoC, SWTOR). FPS games - sandbox (ArmA, BF (though BF is in the middle)) RPGs - both (TES, Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Arcanum).
  12. It sounds like you should try Age of Conan - the game came our two or three years ago and the melee combat system is fantastically engaging. Plus, the visual design and graphics are lightyears ahead of any other MMO I've ever seen, including, sadly, SWTOR. I did watch some videos of Tera, the game seems really good, the animations are great. But I think I simply can't go back to yet another generic happy elf-and-dwarf MMO like Tera, GW2, Rift or the million others. Take away the UI's and you can't tell those games apart. To sum it up - I'll keep subscribing to SWTOR and playing AoC as F2P.
  13. He cannot? I'm pretty sure I have him outfitted with Correlia commendation gear meant for agents. So is Temple.
  14. Good one. I assume you can un-register your security app from your account, though. Not sure, but sounds reasonable. I live in Ireland (that's where the SWTOR EU servers are and customer service department is located) and can get neither the physical key (won't ship to IE) nor the app, since I use WP7. PS - don't let the koalas get you!
  15. You might very well be correct on the Origin user numbers - that sounds like something any company would do. However, I do not think you can apply the same to subscriber numbers. Either you have an SWTOR account with an active subscription or you don't. I don't see a way to "artificially" include more people in it. The numbers given in investor calls are as good as quaranteed to be 100% correct. If you lie to your investors, you go to jail - simple as that.
  16. Those are two different persons. Darth Malak was killed by Darth Revan around 300 years ago, darth Malgus is alive during the events of the game and destroyed the Jedi temple some 10 years ago. Both are quite well known. You can read their biographies on the Wookieepedia.
  17. Let's not take it too far. I guess this is just a price we pay for "thinking different" and not jumping on the mindless Apple bandwagon. PS - I live in Ireland, that's where the SWTOR EU servers are located, and EA won't ship the security key here.
  18. Do players really need a timer and % value on everything today?
  19. They infact are! I do treasure hunting just for the lockboxes as a smuggler cybertech (have underworld trading on another character), and I quite often get lightsaber schematics, among other (quite useful) things.
  20. They said they are working on a better group finding system, not just for FP's but for quests and other activities in general. It just won't be cross-server and fully automatic. And that's a good thing, if you ask me. I remember how people turned into complete jerks in WoW after the system was introduced. Noone communicated or bothered to be polite in the group and people ragequit after the first problem.
  21. Bioware have repeatedly stated that they will not implement cross-server FP group finders. For warzones, yes.
