  1. While this is a good idea in itsleft, I doubt they'd depart from the design of the previous planets so much. Right now, I really don't miss the day/night cycle. I they implement it on one planet, though, they'd have to rework the rest as well or else make them look bad and incomplete.
  2. Each to his own, I suppose. Let's hope the events to come will appeal to those people as well.
  3. You should probably report this in an in-game support ticket. I'm sure there's a solution. It makes me wonder why you have so many undelivered quest items in your inventory (if I understood it correctly), though, but I'd recommend you to contact the in-game support.
  4. Don't worry - you can still find the smuggler's boxes on the respective planets and gather the needed tokens. I got myself the weapon when I completed all the quests and had to look for some more tokens to get the speeder. So you can theoretically get all the things, if you have the time and motivation to look for the boxes.
  5. Wanted to express my thanks for the Grand Acquisitions Race. I found the puzzles very interesting and the quests very well distributed. If done without the help of a guide (like I did), they were quite challenging and felt rewarding when finished. I especially like how the clues were placed on the world, some of which I stumbled upon by accident. I feel a bit sorry for the classes who didn't have a fitting reward weapon, though. I definitely like my new bow-caster for my agent. Also, the speeder is hilarious. Best vehicle on the game! Thank you Bioware! This definitely helped to liven up the game. I'm really looking forward to more such events. Keep up the good work and have a nice day!
  6. That's probably true. LotRO, DDO and AoC have multiplied their player bases and revenue by adopting the "freemium" model. People still freak out about it because they're stupid.
  7. According to your logic, GW2 must be infinately worse, and Half-Life was absolute garbage as well, because those games don't have a subscription either.
  8. Also the lifting force power (if you specialize in it and don't need to channel it) and the stunning attack, called hilt stike or something like that. Force push knocks enemies down as well - I think that might work too.
  9. Both would run the game at the highest settings without a problem. Maybe somewhat lower fps on the space stations with hundreds of people on the screen, but generally perfectly playable. I have onve very similarly configured system and it runs the game on max just fine. PS - I would recommend the system with the Crucial M4 SSD.
  10. It was because we begged for more servers on launch.
  11. SWGemu is perfectly legal. You need to buy the original SWG to be able to play it.
  12. What most people mean by "This game is dead/is dying" is "I don't like it". An MMO is perfectly enjoyable as long as it has ONE server with a healthy population. The presence/lack of 100 other servers which you can't play on at the same time doesn't impact the enjoyment of the game. People simply like to play the biggest game on the market. If their favourite game doesn't become the biggest, they say it's dead.
  13. The Free-to-play model has never killed a game. Almost all games that have adopted the model instantly multiplied their player base and revenue (See LotRO, DDO, AoC). STO didn't do well with F2P because it was awfull. F2P didn't kill it - it didn't manage to save it.
  14. Oh, I thought this was the "Free Tibet!" section.... Nvmnd - yes to chat bubbles!
  15. Like chimunga said, the only option is to contact customer support. I'm quite confident that, if you describe the case like you did here, there's a good chance that they'll offer you the name change.
  16. If I'd have never seen the original animation, I might think that the current one is fine. But that's not the case. This might sound ridiculous, but I really can't play my consular anymore because of this. I can only ask Bioware to please revisit this topic and try to make the consulars signature ability good looking again!
  17. You had access to information about exactly what you will get in the collector's edition, therefore were not ripped off. How you feel is your own business and you can't blame anyone but yourself for that.
  18. Mm, this is possible since the launch of the game - you can travel on other peoples ships and vice-versa.
  19. Heh, I have no idea how you managed this - I tend to terribly overlevel all the time. Are you sure you did all the missions on Taris, including the bonus missions?
  20. Just to put it out there - faster video cards won't make the game look better. A 9800GT can run the game at max settinngs, just with fewer FPS. But it will look identical to a 7990.
