Just want to know so I can plan around it to be home and not get stuck out somewhere this time around!

I think you missed the part of my post where I said I deleted one character already (down from 47 to 46) and already bought a character slot unlock AND claimed it + consumed it and still could not create the new character. Based on the previous response before yours... I'd probably have to buy 20 character slots from the Cartel just to get to 50.

Understood.... So based off of this. Prior, I had 47/47 slots and then I deleted it and it turned to 46/46. So whatever happened after this merger, clearly was not actually supposed to even support the 47 character slots I had but it did... and I was able to play on all 47 of them. So it's likely I had about 30 on one server and in order for me to create "up to 50" I need to buy 20 more character slots....

Actually.. I'm not sure where you are getting that from. Is it something they didn't communicate? Can you point this out somewhere? Here is what I am reading: "Currently, a Premium (Subscriber) account is allowed a maximum of 52 characters per server. Following the United Forces update, accounts with more than 52 characters on a server will be accommodated. You will still be able to access and play each of those characters. However, if you wish to make any new characters after that point, you will need to delete characters until you are back at or below the cap of 50." I am below 50..... I should be allowed to make a new character up to 50 since I'm subbed.

So how does this work for me? I am on Star Forge and I had the following prior to this: 1 Character on Ebon Hawk 16 characters on Shadowlands 30 characters on Prophecy of the Five I had characters on 3 servers merge into 1... so what is my "max allowed" and how many characters do I have to delete before I can start creating again to go up to 50? This wasn't thought out very well. 50 should be the limit and that's it, no matter the merge. And if you are at 50 or a limit of some sort, then they should not ALLOW you to claim an *use* the cartel market item to create an additional character slot and should pop up a message saying "Maximum character limit reached" so you can at least sell the item and get credits or something back... not just consume and lose it.

Yes, I am subbed. After the server mergers, 47 characters on one server. I didn't want one so I deleted it down to 46... was told we could have 50 so I went to create a new one and I could not. Next step? Claim a character unlock slot with cartel coins and guess what? Still can't create a character!!! Cam someone elaborate as to why I can't? Is it a bug or is this intended? I'd think I'd be allowed to after I bought the character unlock slot a week ago!

Wow.. just wow.... and yes, I started Iokath well before I even saw this post but I have not finished it. Wondering if I should just go back and finish Eternal Empire there before I go through what's left of Iokath for me.

Unfortunately, I hit accept not knowing what it was about Now I can't seem to abandon it! Does the higher difficulty level in the middle start to issue you command points if you play through it? Wonder if it would be worth it.

Seems like it's it's Eternal Empire all over again from scratch? I'm returning and VERY confused as to why this has become available to me. Didn't I already completed this story? Yes, I did! Is this given to us again so we can beat it on different difficult levels? What's the difference in story? Not sure I want to do that... so I'm off to Iokath instead!

Funny enough, I was wrong about the server I am on. I'm actually on Shadowlands and POT5 has my OTHER 25 characters I never touched since that server was almost all abandoned by my original guild when we moved over.

I only resubbed for one month. I figured this would be enough to get me through the double xp even for my 8 main classes and then focus on my top character for the remainder. If I had more money, I'd consider longer, but alas it is not the case. Unfortunately, I've only gotten 4 classes to 70 and only 1 throughout the entire story.

Yeah, that is what I was afraid of. It's ok I guess... just gotta enjoy what is given to us for now. Taking that big of a break makes me realize I have no reason to get bent out of shape over the stupid things in game.

There, I said it! I hope I don't get lots of hate. I've been a vet since the day 1 of beta, and at some point within the past 2 years I un-subbed because I felt there was nothing beyond the story. Since I never really got a chance to play Knights of the Eternal Throne, and double xp was here, I decided to re-sub to play through the story. All chapters had me HOOKED. Granted, I'm not at a point where I ask myself the following questions: -Do I really want to play through the entire story again and deal with that "final fight" or just get my 8 "main" classes to level 70 and be done with it and focus on one character only. No way am I going to go through this with the 21 characters I have on one of the servers (and even more on another!) -Where do I go after the story and what do I do? I enjoyed the story and the SOLO play (sorry folks) so I want more of that but is there anything beyond that or will I just be spending time upgrading my gear and decorating my stronghold? -Is there ever going to be a continuation of individual class storylines again? You know, a DIFFERENT story for each class like what was done earlier on with Knight, Smuggler, etc. That is what made it fun for me. Not the same story across all classes with just different choices. Plus, I really miss running into people on more open worlds. -Where did everyone go? I am in what was once one of the largest guilds on POT5 and they just vanished.... maybe I see one person pop on (on top of this, I am now the guild leader on another character of my first original guild ) Seems to be the case across the server as well? I thought this was one of the most populated servers? -Will I ever get a chance to complete the Flashpoints and Operations I never did just to know what they were about? Will I ever get all the datacrons? Anyway, it's nice to be back but I'm uncertain if I'll stay at a monthly price after this double xp is over. Yes, the double xp helps and yes I know we get lots of xp already without it but it's nice to have this option and have it stack with the xp consumables I've had saved up!

My sub expires in January. I've been a sub since BETA. For the first time, I no longer want to re-sub. Here are my reasons why: 1.) The grind - I know all MMOs have it, I've been there. However, I do enough of a grind during a 10-12 hour work day. I no longer want to come home and do more of a grind. TBH, I'd like to play a game, be done with it and go to the next one. Maybe it's ADD coming in but I just can't "grind" any more. 2.) The story is the same - I've played through the new story on 6 different toons. The first time around between an imp and a reb, was the same to me with an occasional twist here and there. Then the other toons got worked on. Nothing different! What this game needs is CLASS STORIES. This means a separate story for Knight, Separate story for Bounty Hunter, etc. etc. etc. 3.) I can't see myself paying any more - With bills out my you know what, I'd rather buy one or two games on my XBOX ONE and play those. You guys made a BIG ANNOUNCMENT today and what was it? New companion for subs.... new recruit companion.. Chapter X.... and a bunch of useless mumbo jumbo that didn't seem too exciting to me. Nice touch with the shirt contest. All in all, this game no longer excites me like it did when it first came out. It needs a serious OVERHAUL. Basically, a complete reboot. It needs to be different from the other MMOs. I'd honestly just pay for this game if it was a bunch of different class stories that lasted me a year or two, over what is put out now. Before anyone asks, no you can't have my stuff!
