  1. Try Speed shot /Series of Shots (one the main damage skills) while moving, it only goes on cool down and you did zero damage. Why? Because its channeled, you need to stand still. But if you need to stand still, its better to be in cover, so at least you get some defense bonus, and probably also the Ballistic dampers and Riot Screen utility bonus. But that means you're in cover standing still. Whats the point of shooting Speed Shot not in cover, tell me
  2. If you would PVP at level 28 or 29 you would think you're a God. Your damage is awesome, especially against 10-15. However, at level 30-55, pvp seems pointless. So start again at level 56, and only do PVP till 60. Then PVE again only, and only then some PVP and die a lot again, till after like 50 games you slowly get some PVP gear.
  3. I totally agree with the above. In Saboteur (Engineering) EMP stun, should have no requirement whatsoever, and on a very low cooldown base. Secondly, of course, the fragmentation grenade should be what it was in 2.10, that was a really, really terrible change. I tried Sharpshooter (Marksman), and its all super easy on Rishi and Yavin4. But then try to do some PVP, I lost around 9 out of 10 times at level 60...
  4. Right now, PVP is merely a joke. Really. These are my observations: First of all, lets zoom into the 10-29 bracket. Those with level 28 or 29 slaughter anyone who is like level 10-15. Levels 28/29 only need to press some random keys and the 10-15 are dead in say 2-5 seconds, those with level 28/29 maybe lost 1% health thats it. Level 30-59: same problem here, maybe even worse. Those at level 57-59 kill those at level 30-35 but those at level 59 don't even drop below 100% health... Level 60. Ah there are those with all full ranked gear 60's, against those wearing no pvp gear at all. Basically the same as above happens. You might say: bolster. But bolster doesn't work at all. Why the distinction between PVP and PVE gear at all? It just doesn't make ANY sense. Say you never did any PVP, but you have awesome PVE gear, you know your class inside out, and you go into PVP. NO CHANCE AT ALL for like 200 games... And after loosing several games, you do get some warzone commendations, and slowly some ranked commendations. After losing many more games, and some lucky wins, you finally get a lot of ranked stuff. Yay, now adding ranked mods. Eh no, you're valor level is not yet 40. *** slaps Bioware in the face *** My 2nd observation is that Empire teams win around 65-75 against Republic (at server Red Eclipse). Do, if you made a toon to level 60, and then went to the painful process as described above, still your're team most often doesn't win. The 3rd problem has to do with rewards after a played match. Say you're a Gunslinger, then obviously, you don't want to carry the ball, but want to want to support the ball carrier. You won't get any medals for that. Killing, yes a few bronze ones, nothing fancy. The 4th problem is of course the hugely unbalanced class system. If you're a Sorcerer (clearly Biowares favourite) or Assassin you will do fine. But try the same as a Marauder/Mercenary/Sniper and obviously, you will loose a lot of games. Of course, Sentinels/Commandos/Gunslingers have no place at all in pvp. So then how can you do any PVP?
  5. Ehm, you mean they should nerf Madness Sorcs hard, because they have highest rating in PVP. THESE ARE FACTS!
  6. In my experience, I only feel safe when an Operative Healer is around. Not sure why, but Operatives heal A LOT. Especially Sorcerer/Sage Healers seem to be unwilling or unable to heal, or their heals take way to long. Scoundrels/Operatives are the best and BY FAR!
  7. You didn't specify PVE or PVP, I think its: Best Class for Melee PVE DPS - Assassin Best Class for Melee PVP DPS - Assassin Best Class for Ranged PVE DPS - Gunslinger/Sniper by far, pew pew dead Best Class for Ranged PVP DPS - Sage/Sorcerer - stuns/self heals and range damage Best DPS Class Overall - Hatred Assassin / Sorcerer Best Class for Tanking - depends: for best World bosses: Guardian/Juggernaut - almost unkillable, IF fully geared for Operations/Flashpoints: Shadow/Assassin - put mobs to sleep, tactics for PVP: Vanguard/Powertech - pulls and jumps, just amazing Best Class For Healing - Scoundrel/Operative Whenever an Operative is around, I actually get heals (many Sorcerer/Sage healers don't, not sure why). Commando/Mercenary healers have just low heals.
  8. Place your juggernaut questions in the appropriate class, please!

    Stunwars !

That's why I created a new Assassin! If you can't beat them, join them, right?
  10. In the 30-59 bracket in december 2014 the team with most 55-59 wins easily hands down. Skills are important yes, and overpowered classes, yes, but the amount of 55-59 is much more important. Why? Easy when you know these people wear pvp or even ranked pvp level 55 gear... and say a 30-54 is only using (and often crappy, because expensive) pve-gear. But yes, in time these people will level to 60 and then the problem goes away.
  11. Its funny to watch in a youtube a Hatred Sin vs Sorc. Sorc is unkillable because of the bubble, the Sin heals while he does damage. So these fights last pretty long. Any Inquisitor vs Snipers is a dead Sniper in 2-3 seconds. Mercs, maybe 4 seconds. So yes, I agree with the status as described.
  12. I fully agree. Say you're level 30 (any class), you do some pvp, you cannot get level 30 pvp gear. However, you're now in the same league as level 55-59 fully ranked gear. So, as a level 30, you do your amazing things, but this 55-59 ranked geared player doesn't even bother. Then he turns, sees you, pew pew dead. Thats frustrating...
  13. I play a Sniper 60, and its very very hard. Especially with no PVP gear, or even just a few, and I don't mean old level 55, no just amazing PVE gear. When I get targetted, I'm always dead within 2 seconds. Maybe sometimes in 1.5 sec. And yes, I do know the class well, I'm amazing in PVE. Where a Guardian, in PVE, uses like 40 seconds to kill pve stuff, I kill that same in like 3 seconds... Yes, I do have everything purple best augments. So this means in pvp, I expect to loose 4 out of 5 games. Still getting some pvp gear, but those that already have amazing gear will laugh at what I get. Now, I know in the past, there was introductionary pvp fresh level 50 (Uncertain. Anyways, it was then the max level) gear, and you got a whole bag of PVP gear, not awesome, but then you were viable. Now, I'm not, and not for a long time... Why play this game at al???
  14. Pre 3.0, my main was Saboteur Gunslinger. But now its basically unplayable. 1) EMP hard nerf 2) Frag grenade hard nerf 3) Fly by nerf. Thats just to much. Also keep in mind, area-attack is often negelected by 30% - 60% in several specs. I now play Marksman which is ok-ish. But NOT what I like.
  15. Gunslinger - Saboteur has been heavily nerved, making it unplayable now. Bad EMP. Frag grenade doing almost no damage, and the once super awesome Fly By, well you could now just as well ignore it... Marksman is still playable. I don't like bosses can simply jump on top of me, when I'm in cover. Thats a bug that killed me a few times. Trying Merc DPS, and its ok-ish. I don't feel like I'm amazing. Will try Assassin soon enough, if thats any better.
  16. Easy... cause otherwise you're to powerfull. The weakness of the Mercs/Comms was no interrupt. Now you have it, be pleased with it.
  17. So try Engineering, and learn to play it well. Issue solved.
  18. Gunslinger-Saboteur is my main spec, and it seems fine (at first glance in PvE). I now have extra defenses, and I added Sweeping Gunfire and Diversion in my rotation, and I do a lot of damage, while I don't receive all that much. Thermal Grenade, yes that's a pain now. Even though I still use it, now much less then before.

    Healers in PvP 3.0

All in all, without any numbers ..., I think the Mercs and Commandos might be best Healers in 3.0. Operatives still have stealth for tactical usage, but with more abilities, doing better all the way.
  20. Huttball seems like a good idea, but for Gunslingers, primarely like to stand still, in cover, and do ranged damage, all they can do is do damage, and when then they actually get the ball, eather pass tru immediately or die... Also for healers, Huttball is not that great a game.
  21. Probably they remove: http://www.torhead.com/ability/7QI4Knd/healing-hand No, you use Back Blast instead. That also goes for the Flechette Round. Cleans up two buttons, making it simpler, easier and better. Also the damage is comparable, so THANK YOU Bioware! No, and we have no idea what the damage will be... That's just whining That's just whining "Underworld Medicine is now only available to the Sawbones discipline, but Slow-release Medpac can now be trained by all Scoundrels. Disappearing Act no longer prevents the Scoundrel from healing or being healed while it is active (activating a new heal will still break stealth, but any healing effects that are already in existence will continue to heal their targets)." So, add a Slow-release in your rotation, can also be used right BEFORE disappearing act.
  22. http://cdn-www.swtor.com/sites/all/files/en/na/SWTORInfographic_11262014/infographic_en_854x4500.jpg From the official swtor -advert. Look at the numbers of Smugglers and Imp Agents: 5,546,405 + 5,873,759 versus like jedi knights and Sith Warr: 9,314,029 + 8,646,835. So it seems, Bioware doesn't care to much about the Smugglers and Agents. Why all these changes now suddenly, while it was working well? Also, don't forget that many of the cunning datacrons are hard to get, while the others are relatively easily. Look, I loved the Scoundrel and Gunslinger class a lot, but they make them both a lot weaker. Thermal grenade, nerved. Fly By, only for gunslingers. We'll see what Bludgeon and Blood Boiler will do. No word about Succerpunch and Flying fists yet. Also, no word about the Upper-Hand/Tactical Advantage mechanics, if that changes. We'll see, but I worry...
  23. Thanks for the tips! I used my say level 37 !!! Corso Riggs (tank), while at the end he died, my damage was high enough to kill him. Without a tank, the one-shot it seems not possible.
  24. Largely the same, but a few changes which probably would make my Engineer again the most fun adv class to play by far. Biggest change is to add Diversion now into the rotation somewhere.
