  1. Hi, we currently have a spot open in our progression group. We are driven to down all of the content. Our group is currently looking for 2 static members to fill DPS roles, however, I could easily switch to DPS should we happen to find an excellent healer. Our original post for recruitment is here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=793082 . Please refer to that thread for all the specific information. In addition to the contacts listed there, you can also contact me ingame on either Ghostroach or Tony'da'tiger. I look forward to hearing from you.
  2. Hi, we are currently looking for a ranged DPS for our static raid group. Please refer to http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=793082 for our original recruitment post. Also, if you are interested, please ensure that you can parse at least 3k on a dummy.
  3. Hi, our static progression group is looking for someone just like you. Refer to http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=793082 for our original recruitment post. You can find all details there. As an additional request, please ensure that you can parse at least 3k on a dummy.
  4. On my healer, I am running 25-28% crit, the rest is in power. I am running about 8% alacrity, and the rest into Surge. I run no accuracy and my augments are Main Stat (although I could also do Power and be fine).
  5. Sages were nerfed into the ground. Commando's are OP and operatives are now a standard level of healing.
  6. Sage/Sorc: Good at Single Target heals, medium heal size, fairly rapid, Poor Raid/AOE Healing Commando/Merc: Good at AOE/Raid Healing, large heal size, Single Target heals go on a pretty long cooldown, VERY bursty Scoundrel/Operative: Good at raid-wide sustain through Hots, Small heal size, extremely rapid (duh, they are hots), not bursty at all, takes a different kind of healing mentality to heal with hots. Generally, if im constantly healing with another healer, I tend to want to pick a different class to get some good synergy with different healing styles. I think that Commandos are a little stronger than the other classes right now, despite some of the nerfs, like kolto bomb's hot and trauma probe's reduced amount of stacks.
  7. While this does not keep up with the aoe of a sorc, it still causes everyone else to hit harder, which is a win in my book. So long as that damage increase happens somewhere.
  8. What does your stat distro look like? Alsi , I am aware that the roll is not the best option in a standard rotation, but I'm willing to bet that the aoe that this spec is doing constantly makes up for it to some degree. It seems like a lot of the problem bosses are add heavy. Also, I'm willing to bet that the +10% to aoe damage makes this spec desired in add phases.
  9. So I understand that the PVP community is pissed off at Engineering/Sabatour, however the PVE ability of this spec is now godly. Currently, this is the highest PVE damaging spec in the game. The top 2 slots on Torparse.com are Engineering Snipers. In an attempt to learn how to use this spec to it's fullest potential, I have respected from Vir/DF. Does anyone have any PVP oriented rotation pointers?
  10. I can tell you that Assassin/Shadow is the best tank and the worst tank all at the same time. A terrible Shadow/Assassin that doesn't manage CD's and buffs well will not be able to keep up with a terrible Vanguard/Guardian. On the flip side, a perfect Shadow/Assassin will outperform a perfect Vanguard/Guardian. They used to be the best for off tanking, and took a backseat to the other 2 classes for main-tanking, but now they are an awesome main-tank, and Vanguards are excellent off-tanks.
  11. I stopped reading after this. You have no idea what you are talking about.
  12. This is not true anymore, there is a Gunslinger (Sab spec) parse out there for 5k even.
  13. So What I was originally asking with this was how it was possible that someone was hitting 5k with this spec. Maybe a rotation or some tips. I tried to follow the Dulfy guide but the rotation in no way lined up with the CD's. I was also under the impression that Commando's Assault Specialist was the only spec right now capable of reaching 5k DPS or higher. Also, I understand that a parse only tells you your potential maximum DPS, however think of it like this. If you fight a boss like Nefra, then you can essentially pull about 95-99% of your potential maximum. This is as opposed to if you were fighting Draxus, then you only pull about 60% of your potential maximum. The fact is that if you work hard to get your potential maximum as high as it goes, through learning your rotation and strengthening your gear, that 60% on Draxus will be much higher than that 60% on a class that pulls much less DPS on a dummy. I also understand that there are more specific circumstances that determine how well you do on a boss, like AOE classes that parse on the dummy don't have an accurate show of their potential maximum but I believe that it balances out in the end.
  14. I have found that leveling with MM/SS gets annoying because mobs that hit you push back(Delay) your charged skills. I enjoyed playing Vir/DF even for leveling. Never tried to level with Eng/Sab but I would imagine that the additional AOE could help you situationally. Reall though, all 3 specs have good AOE now and im sure there are very few perks to playing one spec over another now.
  15. So http://www.torparse.com is back online and the leaderboards are fun to browse. I was delighted to find that the current #2 slot for DPS is a slinger. I was disappointed that it was a Sab/Eng spec. I had followed the dulfy guide and dabbled with it, and I could in no way get even close to the DPS that I can produce with Dirty Fighting. The parse is 5k dps with a Sab. Can anyone validate this? Maybe this guy is just 192/198 geared.
