  1. I respect those who choose to kill either Aric or Kaliyo from an RP perspective where it makes sense for their character to take such an action. The thing that I have a harder time understanding is why someone who romanced either Aric of Kaliyo would choose to kill them. That's your husband/wife! You were reunited after 5 years and chose to continue your relationship with them! Why romance them at all if you're just going to kill them two or three chapters later? Other than wanting to get DS points, what is there to gain? I'm sure those who make that choice will quickly pay for it later on. And I truly don't understand those who killed one of them for kicks and giggles. That's just completely messed up to me.
  2. You cannot romance a vanilla companion (such as Kira from the Jedi Knight route). Your character won't have any close relationships to his or her "original" companions when you meet them. You can romance Lana, Theron, or Koth with an insta-60 toon.
  3. They don't explicitly say it, but I believe that the Eternal Empire spanned a few planets in Wild Space. It wasn't nearly as big as the Republic or the Empire, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have a few planets that they've expanded to over the years. Plus, I would not be surprised if Valkorian/Vitiate infused them with some of his power to make Force-users more common. I have a theory, and there's not really any evidence to support it, but I started thinking about it when they talked about how no one knows where the Gravestone or the Eternal Fleet comes from- what if the same race that created the Fleet and the Gravestone were the ancestors of modern Zakuulans, and they, like the Sith, had a strong tendency to be born with Force powers? It would make sense then that they have a lot of Knights if they were genetically inclined to be Force-sensitive.
  4. This is my question, too. I would like to know if I'll be able to reunite with Torian a few days early since June 1st-6th I won't be able to play.
  5. No, it doesn't make any mention of someone dying, it just says there were casualties, i.e. nameless soldiers. It's also possible that the 4 who died were also nameless soldiers that Aric also knew instead of the 4 who we saw in Chapter 11.
  6. I LOVED the new chapter. It was a fantastic change from the very serious/kind of dark chapters we've gotten in recent months. This was a fantastic chapter that didn't take itself too seriously but didn't make us forget about the very serious events going on still. The interactions between Gault and Vette were great too. I will say that I wish there had been a comment from Vette if you were close enough to her that she considered you her best friend/big sister, I really loved the sister relationship my SW had with her in the vanilla game. And maybe some recognition from Dretcher, and a reaction from him depending on your class. I haven't played through with my BH yet, but I'm looking forward to seeing her reunion with Gault, and I am SO EXCITED for Torian next chapter!! I have to give the writers applause for the shocker they put at the end of the chapter, where you can actually KILL Aric or Kaliyo if you ordered them to stay put and they disobeyed you, EVEN IF YOU ROMANCED THEM! I could never bring myself to kill either of them (especially since I romanced Aric), but I love it as a gameplay device, and I completely understand why people are glad it's there. It's definitely a choice that'll have consequences later and I'm interested in seeing what'll happen either way. I give this chapter a 9.5/10!
  7. I think Kira and Nadia could team up, and Ashara and Jaesa could team up, but the four of them would not team up together. Kira and Nadia I could easily see teaming up together to fight Zakuul. I don't think either of them could be satisfied by helping protect what's left of the Order on Tython, they both need action too much to do that. Of course, it's been five years, and they may have changed enough to be content with that. But I think it's more likely that they're still out there doing battle, and probably either together, or familiar with each other. LS Jaesa and Ashara's goals involved changing the Empire from within, influencing the Empire by trying to bring out the good in the government that exists, but is shouted down by the bad. I can't see either of them going back to fight for the Jedi because their minds have been opened to new ideals, new ways of doing things, and they see the flaws in the Order. I also can't see them fighting for the Sith Empire, because without the Wrath or Darth, they likely aren't going to be listened to. I can imagine them managing to convince a group of Jedi and Sith to follow them and form a small third group that may practice guerrilla warfare, but I don't see combat as being a goal for either of them. DS Jaesa wouldn't have any interest in teaming up with anyone. She wants to kill and fight, and the Sith Empire has her loyalty... or at least as much of her loyalty as she can get. She would not be a team player in any sense of the word.
  8. I feel the same way. I think at some point I'll want to see the video, but the thought of killing him makes me cringe inwardly. He's too wonderful and sweet... Yes he's a hardass at first, but you can so easily see that softy underneath all that guff.
  9. So far I haven't been able to kill/get rid of any companions. I guess I'm too attached to my companions.
  10. I don't know if I could even watch that! It would be so painful! I'm too attached to the companions, I know, but I can't help it!
  11. Yes, there is an option to kill or banish Kaliyo or Jorgan. I could NEVER kill Aric or even Kaliyo, and I don't even like Kaliyo! But the thought of killing Aric horrifies me. I love that guy. I honestly don't know how people could kill him, especially if you romanced him.
  12. From what I understand, they changed things in 4.0 so that instead of getting a conversation based on your approval/affection with a companion, you get conversations based on where you are in the story. They did this to make it more linear, so it's possible that some of the conversations are in a different order than they used to be. BUT they should all still be there.
  13. I interpreted all that differently- one of the first things that the Master says to you is that he sees possibilities, multiple futures, which means that it changes all the time. The scenarios that he gave to the JC to question her (it was a her for me) felt more like possible futures rather than certain things. So when he said "Your soldier dies", I see it as a future that may happen, but could be changed by numerous things. When he said the Republic would fall, that sounded certain, but he also said he didn't know when it could happen- it could be a year from then or a thousand years. Seeing the future is not a perfect science.
  14. This. Do this, and you'll get your guy. Always pick the flirts. Conversely, if you DON'T want to romance someone, NEVER, EVER, EVER flirt with them. NEVER. You do it even once, and it's over. I've seen it happen before. Someone flirts with a potential LI, then decides that they're not really interested. But apparently the LI never got the memo, because the next thing you know your toon is engaged and talking about kids, and there's no break-up even if your character is horrible to the LI in question. Plus, you'll probably end up hating that companion, even if you were okay with him or her before.
  15. The "favorites" are the LIs, all of them have a fanbase. But I think saying that "These are the favorites" is pretty impossible because there's very few people who can agree completely on just who the favorites are. Some love Jaesa, some hate her, some love Quinn, some hate him, and everyone knows that polls people post up to vote on don't really mean anything. The people on these forums only make a percentage of all the players, plenty of whom never come onto the forums at all. BW has to have learned by now that they can't give preferential treatment to one LI over the others, or else there'll be riots in the streets... metaphorically speaking. I'm sure we'll get all the LI's and companions back. I just want to know when.
  16. I would love to have a sort of renewal-of-vows ceremony for an LI that you married. I also really like the idea of getting the occasional letter from your LI, especially right after the reunion or a dramatic moment in the game.
  17. I actually laughed a bit at that comment. It's funny... because it's true. Sadly.
  18. I hope we'll still get our companions back during those possible blocks of chapters. I would be VERY unhappy to discover that my LIs aren't showing back up until Season 3, if there's going to be a Season 3.
  19. Yeah, but if they bring back all the old non-LI companions before Season 2, then will we have no more alliance alerts? Or are they going to add in new companions? That might be kind of interesting.
  20. Thanks for all the feedback everyone. I appreciate your thoughts. I didn't know about the releases of the new MMO's or the expansions, which makes me think that if they do take a break it'll be during the holiday season, like December/January. Of course, we could all be wrong. Unfortunately I guess this is just a wait-and-see kind of thing.
  21. I would be very surprised if they didn't introduce all the other companions next season. If they keep introducing 1-2 LIs and 1-2 side companions each month, then by the end of Season 2 we should have them all back. I can't imagine that they'd stretch out the reunions even further than that into the next year- players would absolutely riot. I don't think it would be a good decision on BW's part. I also don't think we'd have a long break in-between Season 1 and 2 either, since apparently there's some other MMO's out there either adding stuff or launching around August. It would be a bad idea for them to take a hiatus right as these other things are coming out. I can see them taking off November/December, or maybe December/January, but hopefully there won't be a super long wait for Season 2. I think there's probably going to be 3 seasons. Season 1 will doubtlessly end on a cliff-hanger, Season 2 we'll (hopefully) get our companions back and get involved in another giant issue, and probably Season 3 will wrap up the adventures and SWTOR will either move on to a new story oooorrrrr... close down on a high note. Hmmm... Possibly, but I kind of doubt it. We'll probably get cameo appearances from new allies we haven't met before, but I don't think they'll add any more permanent companions. Or if they do, it won't be very many.
  22. Ooooh, OUCH. No offense, but I'm hoping that you're not right on this one. I don't think I could stand waiting that long to see what happens next. This is a good thought if WoW is releasing something. It would only make sense for the SWTOR devs to want to compete with that. It's not so much that I hate the idea of a break completely, it's more that I hate the idea of a super long break. Plus, if Season 2 is also 16 chapters, and they take a 4 month break and then go back to releasing one chapter a month, Season 2 won't be finished until 2018. I'm not sure that that's a good idea either. Maybe they'll do like they did with Season 1- release a certain number of chapters to entertain people during the break, however long it is, and then come back to it.
  23. In May we get Chapter 13, and we know we have up to Chapter 16 left for this season. That'll take us to August, and then there's Season 2 after that. My question is, do you think they'll keep going with monthly chapter releases after Chapter 16 is released, or will they make us wait for months? I guess my question is directed more to those of you who have business sense or know more about how these things work than I do. Personally a wait any longer than 1 month would be torture for me. Actually, even a month wait would be torture. My biggest fear is that once Season 1 is done, they'll take a break until January of next year, which I personally would HATE. So what's everyone else's thoughts on this? Would they take a long break, a short one, or no break at all?
  24. Female Sith Warrior. PERFECT voice- dangerous and sexy at the same time. I love her. Also I really liked the female SI voice, and the female Smuggler voice. Those two did a great job of making their characters sarcastic and funny.
  25. I don't think we need any more LI's in the story right now. As it is, each class, regardless of gender, has already has 4-5 possible LIs that they could have hooked up with: each class has at least 1 male and 1 female LI available (sometimes 2 females), and then there's Lana, Theron, and Koth that every class can romance. I think that there should be more focus on the romances that we have now rather than create new ones, because no matter how many romances are available, there are always going to be players who aren't interested in them. Quality over quantity is how I see it right now- I'd take more conversations and scenes with our current LI's than have a new one come along. However, I will say that if they DO make a new romance (which again, I think is unnecessary), I would like to see a male Force-user added to the mix. We have 4 female Force-users we can date, a male would be a nice change of pace.
