  1. It's been about 13 years since the class stories began (original class stories, plus Makeb, plus Dark Lords, plus Shadows of Revan, plus the years you're frozen and then fighting in KOTFE), so yeah, everyone would look a little different probably. But something that everyone seems to forget is that people live longer in Star Wars- the average human lifespan is 100-120 years, and that's if they don't go out of their way to get medical enhancements or have Force powers. It's not unheard of for humans alone to live up to 200+ years with the assistance of science. Of course, this can be quite pricey, so it's not within reach of everyone. My point is, people live longer, and so they also probably age slower. So I just headcanon that the have a few more scars (and maybe a couple wrinkles) but aside from that, they're not too different.
  2. When I first went through the Iresso romance, I was not terribly impressed. I thought he was boring, and I never finished playing that character- I ended up deleting her later. My second consular romanced Theron, but after playing through a friendship with Iresso, I actually started to really like him. He's a solid, responsible guy. He puts his job (and by extension, the Consular's job) first, and his personal feelings second. So then I played through fully a second time, and this time I romanced him. I actually really, really like Iresso now. He's a good man, and even his love for the Consular doesn't cloud his mind when he needs to get a job done. After they get married, one of his letters says he was approached by another Jedi Master who asked him about his relationship, and apparently the marriage was officially approved by the Council because they ended up trusting him. That's really, really cool. I felt that the romance suited my Consular in that playthrough. My Jedi Knight did end up falling for Doc. I role-play it as her initially actually liking his smooth-talking charm (she took it all with a grain or twelve of salt, of course), and she liked the fact he didn't want anything serious... at first. That way there'd be a nice, clean break at the end. But he was her first real anything, and as soon as the feelings started to get serious, she started questioning whether or not it was worth it. When she did that, and Doc suggested that they take a break, they both ended up re-evaluating things, and they both separately realized how they really felt. When Doc asked her to marry him, she basically thought "What the hell. I've given and given and given- even a Jedi deserves some happiness." She made a leap of faith and never looked back. As for my Sith- I play my Warrior as being an Honorable Warrior. She admired Quinn's dedication, discipline, and control. He was a good soldier, and she admired that loyalty... even though eventually it came back to kick her in the butt. But they worked it out (after she threw a few things at him and shouted abuse for a while). My Inquisitor did eventually go for Andronikus. It was an interesting way of deciding to go for him. See, in my head-canon, my Inquisitor had been offered as a 'reward' to those who did a good job for her original master, so if they pleased him, they got to sleep with her. Andronikus was the first actual long-term lover she ever took by her own choice and decision (she did have a fling with that one Sith on Alderaan, and who knows where that may have gone had he not faced the end he had), and while she knew what the concept of a romantic relationship was from her parents and from others, she had never experienced that herself, nor had she ever thought she would. So for her, the pirate ended up falling for her before she started falling for him, which accounted for her nonchalant attitude whenever he initially decided to leave and declared that he was his own person and she didn't own him. Naturally she didn't own him, just like no one owned her. But by the end of the romance, they had both decided that they didn't mind belonging to someone... just so long as it was to each other.
  3. Corso IS freaking adorable. I really, really liked him- he was perfect for my smuggler. And if you recruited Bowdaar in KOTFE after romancing Coros, both the Fem!Smuggler and Bowdaar say the cutest things about him. I have to say, I really don't have a favorite because I ended up completely enjoying all the romances, even Felix Iresso's. I honestly didn't think I'd like Felix's romance, but after going through it a second time (the first time I did it was when the game first came out), I found it surprisingly sweet. He's a really good guy, and understands that his love of the Consular takes second place when it comes to both of their jobs. The first time I went through it, I though the Consular as a character was boring, and Felix didn't interest me much. But now, after really thinking it through, I like them a lot. So I list them because I actually think they're a great, mature couple. I guess if I HAD to pick a Number 1 favorite of all time, it would be Andronikus and the fem!Quizzie. I play a Gray/Lightsided SI, so sometimes what she does clashes with what Andronikus likes (i.e. approval), but I like how he is around her. He starts off respecting her but not wanting anything serious, to still respecting her but slowly over time wanting more with her until he proposes- which I'm sure given his character, he would never have done before he met the Inquisitor. When he actually brings up the subject of having a family, he doesn't balk away at the notion of having kids with her, which is something I would never have expected before. I think the reason why I really liked this is because the SI never really pushes him to make the relationship more serious- she doesn't ever really 'chase after' him. Most of the time when you see a one-sided relationship like this, the person more invested in the relationship is always trying to prove themselves to the less invested one to get them more interested. But in this case, its when the SI steps back and lets Andronikus have his space and his freedom without pushing, and Andronikus starts to come around all on his own, which I found very refreshing. Note: I'm remembering this from my own playthrough, so I could have missed a few options where the SI comes off as more controlling, but I played her as being pretty calm about the whole thing. But like I said, I truly ended up liking all the romances for the Fem!Heroes. I think they all play out well, and I thought they were all sweet. Now, I'm not everyone, and I play pretty much all Gray/Lightsided characters, so my experience could be a lot different than others. But I genuinely find myself wanting romantic reunions with all of them. I haven't been able to play through Quinn's yet... I'm saving up to getting a new computer, and all I have right now is a laptop that's only good for surfing the internet and writing, but I'm looking forward to it. EDIT: I also LOVED Doc, for kind of the same reason why I loved Andronikus. The romance is similar in a lot of ways- they both start out wanting nothing serious, only to completely change their minds and end up wanting marriage and a family, and if you turn down their proposals they seem pretty devastated. The main difference between the two is that the JK can call Doc out on his view of the relationship (if you want her to)- she's breaking a very serious vow to be with him, and questions if it's worth it if he just wants to have fun. But neither of them push the guys into deepening the relationship, the JK just questions the true depth and value of the relationship without deeper emotions. Doc is the one left with the option of choosing where to go next. I really liked that.
  4. The truth is that I would absolutely be a Consular. I wouldn't be amazing at it, and I wouldn't be trusted on important missions unless they were literally out of all other options, but frankly I would be dead in any other class. As a Consular, I would rely on my powers at all times, and also on tanks. I am not a straight shooter, I don't have good combat skills, and I don't like the idea of jumping into melee range of lightsabers. I am, however, a bookworm who likes the idea of mind-powers very much and I am told I speak well with others. So yeah... Consular it is.
  5. Pureblood Sith. They just look so AWESOME. I don't know why, but the look of them just reminds me of panthers. They look dangerous and cunning, and I love it.
  6. Yeah, and lots of people complained about that. So NOW we have this new expansion and the choices that you make in it are actually coming back. Every time you kill someone, or insult someone, or take an action for good or bad, at least one companion mentions it and takes action. Koth runs leaves at one point. He also steals the Gravestone. If you shoot at Senya and Arcaan in the last chapter of KOTFE, Arcaan becomes hostile. If you don't, he's LS. And there's other things too, but those are the first ones that come to mind. I am completely certain that as the companions come back, they comment on what you're doing and what you've done. If you're a murder-hobo, I would bet you money that Elara calls you out on it when she comes back. Other returning companions comment on your relationship with them when they come back, even if it's a bad one. Really? You're so immature that you would insult someone because they disagree with you? No wonder the mods got on your case then. Ummm... choices do matter. See how Koth reacts to how you treat him, or Senya, or Theron or Lana. The writers are getting smarter about long-term choices, and I'm really liking it. Whoever said you lost your power? As far as I know you're still the Emperor (unless you gave up a lot of your power), and both sides are offering an alliance. You can probably choose whichever one you want- the Empire and the Republic HATE each other. Naturally if you ally with one the other isn't going to want to work with you. There's no point in continuing to argue over this. Clearly we disagree.
  7. That is EXACTLY what I mean! You can't have the ability to deeply influence and impact the game with your decisions AND take whatever actions you want without having any repercussions. That's not how it works. You can't have it both ways. You can either accept that the choices you make could have good AND bad results, or you can play a game where the only choices you can make are in dialogue and have no impact on the story.
  8. I hope this is sarcasm. It makes no sense to me that people would be upset that there are ACTUAL CONSEQUENCES to the choices that they make in-game. It makes complete sense! If you romanced someone who is against mindless killing and then throughout KOTFE and KOTET you kill someone every chance you get, it makes complete sense that your former LI would be disgusted by this and refuse to rekindle your relationship. I for one hope that they DO implement this. That's real. That's good writing and good storytelling. And it gets you more involved in the story because it makes you really THINK about what you're going to do. I'm excited about who they're going to bring back after Malavai and Elara. I hope it's Doc. Or Corso. Or Vector. Or And... actually I'd be happy if any of my other romances showed up. I'm not terribly picky.
  9. Did you get a letter in the first playthrough?
  10. XD And Vette rubbing it into his face. Y'know, if she's actually alive. It could be Aygo, but I really want my pirate back. Maybe after Malavai we'll get him. Or, y'know, not long after.
  11. I didn't see Quinn, but I'm about 90% certain I heard Andronikus' voice towards the end. Of course, his VA does a lot of characters in SWTOR, so it may be him doing another character.
  12. My characters will all probably go with their original factions- except possibly for my Agent, who is now a ghost. She'd prefer to be independent. I wonder if 'Independent' will be an option... My Bounty Hunter might actually have been interested in joining the Republic at a point, but they aren't friendly towards Mandelorians... not without reason, of course. And not only is she married to one, she IS a Mandelorian now. But she's only 'Imperial" in the sense that they hire her for jobs instead of the Republic. She has no real allegiance to them. My Smuggler is like the Bounty Hunter in the sense that she herself is not particularly political- but she supports the Republic because she thinks it's better than the Empire. But if the Empire was under better leadership (i.e., not so racist or murder-y) she'd probably be a lot more neutral.
  13. I am STOKED he's coming back (hopefully with the same VA as others have said). I'm hoping this is a prelude to getting all our other LIs, too. Does anyone know if they're going to do another expansion type thing, where there's a new chapter every month? Or is this a sort of ops quest that you can just pick up? I'm asking because I play for story, and I'm hoping this next update is bringing a new story as well as Quinn... and hopefully more of the old companions. Actually you're more right than you think- they've said that the average age for a human in Star Wars is around 150- and that s WITHOUT extensive medical aid. They age a lot slower, too. So a human probably wouldn't start looking all that old until they hit their early 100's.
  14. So is this like a new chapter in the expansion? Are we going to have to wait another month(s) after 5.2 to get another story update?
  15. I'm sure there would be an option to somehow leave both Elara and Quinn alive somehow if you didn't want to kill either of them. I managed to keep both Rusk and Skadge alive with my BH, and have them both as companions... I think. I'd have to go back and double-check. I know for sure I have Skadge, but Rusk was still alive. S you could probably keep both Elara and Quinn alive, but have to side with one or the other. Makes sense to me. Personally, I'm delighted to have Quinn back. Especially with my warrior. I wonder if this is how they're going to re-introduce companions back into the game, with the monthly updates. I could go for that, it makes sense to me. Maybe they'll keep up the pattern of having to choose one or the other in the future too. Might get old, but we'll see what they plan to do.
  16. I agree with the other posters. I'm a pure RPer; group content is useless and boring to me. But I LOVE D the idea of the monthly chapters, and I desperately want all my LI's back. Call me a loser if you want, but to me, that adds a part of the game that makes my toons seem more real to me- the opportunities for them to form friendships and relationships is what makes me love RPing so much. Please bring the LI's back in the chapters. If you want, you can even make them class-specific quests if that makes it easier. That way each class gets their LI's back immediately and there's no wait or fuss.
  17. I'll do KOTET with my Trooper and my Hunter, they're the only ones who have their LI's back- and I'll go through it with my Consular who romanced Theron. But I got really attached to all my LI's, and it's basically been said that "it might not be possible" to get them back. I'm an RPGer. I play games for story. Part of my story includes my toon's personal life, and now that a very important part of that has essentially been tossed aside, it makes me not feel like playing anything beyond the vanilla game at all. It's very disappointing. Also, you can't show favorites amongst the LI's. Even if there's only a few fans for one of the LI's (I'm not wild about Felix, for example) there are people out there who are, and you'd be giving them the short end of the stick by ignoring him in favor of, say Quinn. Let's not make a ME3-romance-type mistake* here, alright? *Those who romanced Thane or Jacob specifically know what I'm talking about. Also Jack to a degree.
  18. I just want my old companions back. I'm really sad we're not getting any more until next year at the earliest. And that's if we get them back at all!
  19. The story. That's the reason I play pretty much any game.
  20. Here's how I see it- it IS annoying how the Empire never seems to win, especially since they will do whatever it takes to succeed, but there are significant problems with how they run themselves outside of battle. If you play a Lightsided Sith, or a Sith who thinks of the Empire first, they're pretty much alone in their beliefs. As one poster already said, the majority of Sith, who are at the top of the proverbial food chain, translate the Sith Code (rightly I would say) as basically being 'every man for himself'. Sith want power. Sith will do anything to get power. If that means killing other Sith, killing soldiers who happen to annoy him/her, random civilians, puppies, that is what they will do. People respect Sith, but they're also absolutely terrified of them, and that can only take the Sith so far. At the beginning of Makeb, Darth Marr tells the Imperials that even though they've won key victories, Sith in-fighting is causing them to wipe themselves out faster than the Republic does, as well as forcing them to toss newly minted, untested Sith out into battle where the majority of them are slaughtered. Most of them don't care about the Empire at all, just themselves, meaning that any time they're given a chance, they'll look out for Number One, even if it's to the detriment of the Empire. I can honestly believe that this is the case where the Empire is falling in on itself. The ideal Sith is Darth Marr- calculating, cunning, willing to use power, but NOT power-hungry, and always with the Empire in his mind. He's not a serial killer or insane, but pretty much every other Sith we meet with a few exceptions is a psychopathic murderer. If they're supposed to be the leaders of the Empire, no wonder they're in so much trouble. Personally I LOVE the angle of playing as a neutral or LS-leaning Sith who loves the Empire and is trying to change it from within. But trying to do that is very, very difficult and slow, and there's a lot more chances to kill someone than there is to try to keep peace or forge alliances, and it's almost always stated by the NPC that its because you just can't trust a Sith. Also, the Empire canonically hates aliens. The 'freaks' disgust them. So, unlike the Republic, they're (pardon the pun) alienating thousands of potential ally races who might otherwise be drawn to the 'meritocracy' ideal of the Empire. My point is that it makes sense that the Empire is having these troubles to me. While I love the Meritocracy angle of it, their leadership is too bogged down with insane killers with powers and prejudices that they would be better off getting rid of, for the sake of the Empire's strength.
  21. I would be fine with having to pick one or the other, or having the companion that you get default to your original faction. After all, Andronikus hates the Republic (he hates the Empire as well, but not as much, apparently), and Corso hates the Empire. It would make sense for both of them to accept or refuse an offer of partnership based on the Outlander's original faction. I just don't want to have to wait ANOTHER year to get them all back. I don't know how they're deciding which romances to bring back first, but they need to speed up the process.
  22. I agree. I feel like the best way to avoid that would be to have both LIs have a critical part in the chapter. Using the example above of Andronikus and Corso working together- Andronikus is the captain and gives the orders and so is communicated with frequently, but Corso could be a temporary (before being permanently recruited) companion on a mission- they both get equal time and equal importance to the chapter. I feel like that would make fans of both romances equally happy.
  23. I would be so sad if we had to wait another year to reunite with our LI's. I hope they double-up on some of the reunions, so we could reunite with two different LI's in one chapter. Like if Andronikus is a pirate captain and Corso Riggs is working for him, both our f!Smugglers and f!Inquisitors would be able to reunite with their hubbies in one chapter. Not both at the same time, of course, and they'd both get different scenes for the reunion, but I think that would be the best way to make everyone happy while still meeting the chapter limit. Heck, Ashara and Nadia could easily be working together, or Ashara and a LS Jaesa. A lot of these characters are not hard to put together in partnerships when it comes right down to it.
