  1. And also the same kind of 'Sith' that Lightside Jaesa was trying to find and recruit to reform the Empire from within. Either way gives the writers a good reason for Jaesa and Ashara to either be working with each other, or trying to kill each other. Would be interesting to see a chapter that has two radically different ways of playing out.
  2. I honestly can't see them giving the LIs new spouses/serious partners. First off, only a few characters would actually be able to date someone in a 'normal' setting, and the rest would either refuse to move on or just have random hookups. Someone mentioned Doc and Andronikus as moving on, but I don't see either of them doing that. They made it clear in both their arcs that they LOVE their wives. I mean L O V E, like they have never done before with anyone else. I honestly don't see them being able to fall for someone else; these are the kinds that fall just once in a lifetime. Now, I agree that they might have friends-with-benefits things going on, but I don't see them loving someone else. Iresso, Quinn- there's no way either of them would have moved on to someone else. First off, Quinn was married to his job before he got involved with the SW. In fact, you could argue that Quinn gets romantically involved with the f!SW because of his real job. For those of you who don't already know what his real job is... well, this is the wrong section if you don't want to be spoilered. And Iresso never got involved with anyone because of work as well... but for different reasons. Also spoilers. He was shuffled so often from place to place that there was really no chance of romance happening the traditional way. Vector... yeah, there's no way he'd end up with someone else. Well, maybe if he and another Joiner hooked up, but frankly I just don't see that happening. I think they made it clear that Vector is about as human and independent as a Joiner can be while staying a Joiner, and for Kiliks (and those Joiners who still live within the nests), sex isn't something that's high on their priority list. Joiners probably don't reproduce. The only one who I could see maybe moving on would be Corso Riggs because he's a hopeless romantic. But then again, that might also by the reason why he wouldn't move on. He's a toss up, and the only one I'm not certain of. But what I do know is that BW wouldn't make it impossible for you to get an old LI back. They know that lots of people (including myself) are super attached to them.
  3. Have any of you guys saying only a JK makes sense played as a SW? That is by far the most interesting class to play as in my mind, because you were once literally the right hand of the Emperor, THEN turned on the Emperor (out of necessity, naturally) and THEN got possessed by him! Some of the most compelling lines I have heard were from Valkorian to the SW, such as one of the first lines which was something like "You were always so much more to me than a mere servant. You have always been so much more", which, to someone who really loved the role of being the Emperor's enforcer, was fantastic. I personally believe that playing as a Sith Warrior in KOTFE, especially one who was more neutral than LS or DS, is one of the best classes to play. But honestly, play all the classes. It's just fun. There are moments where it makes more sense for a force-user, but then there are moments that it makes more sense for a non-force user. Either way, its fun to go through and experience.
  4. Hey guys! So I cleaned the inside of the computer, and then I went back and checked the drivers again. This time it seems like it's okay. I played the game for an hour and it didn't crash. Hopefully it stays like that. Thanks for all the responses, they were really helpful and I appreciate it. With any luck, the problem is gone for good.
  5. Thanks, guys, I appreciate it. I did update my drivers and I checked to make sure everything was plugged in correctly, but it did it again when I tried to play. I know I don't have a graphics booster since I never installed one. I'm not sure what the issue is- I'll try cleaning to see if that works and if it doesn't, I guess I'll try to plug in a new monitor to see if that makes a difference.
  6. First off, sorry if this is the wrong forum to post this in, but I couldn't find one for these kinds of issues. So I've been having this problem with my monitor for about a month or so now, and it only happens when I play SWTOR. After I play for like 15-30 minutes, the monitor just turns off completely, but everything else continues to run, including the game. I know this because even if the screen turns off, the audio remains, even if I'm in the middle of a fight. At first I tried the usual unplug-replug/off-on switch thing, but nothing turned it on again and I ended up having to reboot the computer, which I hate doing. Every time I've tried to play SWTOR since then, the same problem keeps happening, and it's gotten to the point where I can't play SWTOR anymore because I don't want to damage my computer with continual rebooting. This problem ONLY happens with SWTOR. I can play anything else from Fallout 4, to DA:I, to Baldur's Gate for hours, and I haven't had this problem with any other game. It's weird because the problem is so recent- I've never had this issue before, and I'm a founding player. I know that it could be my monitor (I've had it for 6 years now), but I wanted to see if anyone else had an idea that it could be something else. My rig is: GPU: GeForce GTX 960 CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 965 Processor 16.00 GB RAM (all usable, according to my computer) Operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate. If anyone has any ideas on what the problem could be, I'd really appreciate it. I love SWTOR and it really sucks that I can't play it at all right now.
  7. Yes, since she's the one who actually rescues you, they didn't write a letter for her. She probably didn't feel like she needed to because she figured she was going to see you eventually in person. I might be mis-remembering, but I think Nadia has a very, very strong Force-bond to her master- like, unusually so. It was her special talent and what made her relationship to the Consular so unique. The other Force-Users didn't have that kind of bond with their masters/partners.
  8. All my characters are female, and on the Lighside of the morality scale. Only my Jedi are fully LS- HOWEVER, they both did fall in love, and took DS points for that. But they're very committed to the Jedi way, and so their personal relationships don't impede them when it comes to them doing their duties. My trooper and smuggler are higher on the LS scale, and that's because one is a soldier who regrettably has to do some bad things to save lives, and the other one is a criminal who tries not to be too bad a criminal when it comes to decent people. But as long as a politician isn't trying to legalize slavery, she will take a bribe if its for something minor. My SW and BH are basically Noble Warriors. My SW knows that killing people left and right will not win her any allies, and it's easier to get things done when you don't have a reputation of needless carnage following you around. Kill/punish the double-crossers, negotiate with equals or honorable people, intimidate people who would otherwise try to control you. That's what she lives by. My BH is also like this, but for different reasons. Their childhoods are completely different, they just have similar outlooks on things. My SI is LS because she was a slave and remembers very well what it was like to grovel at someone's feet knowing that they could literally end your life right there if they felt like it. So now she helps those who are beaten down and imprisoned, and enjoys harming people who like to hurt others because it's funny. When she goes DS, it's to teach someone a lesson, not because she gets kicks out of torturing people. My IA is willing to get her hands dirty to succeed in her mission, but she will avoid killing indiscriminately or going out of her way to ruin people's lives if they aren't her target. My IAs are always Chiss, and I play them as deciding to serve the Empire only because it helps their home planet and people. They have no personal allegiance to the Empire outside of this, which is why they all become ghosts in their playthroughs. If I could only pick ONE CLASS from each faction however... it would definitely be Smuggler for Republic, and probably Sith Warrior for the Empire. I just feel like the Sith Warrior becomes such a cornerstone among her people and it's so enlightening when it comes to the innermost workings of the Emperor and the powers of the Throne itself that I can't pass it up.
  9. Well, firstly I must say that I disagree with Quinn being a secondary romance and Pierce being a 'primary'. It's the opposite- Quinn has a huge fanbase, and Pierce less-so since you can only have a friends-with-benefits thing happening with him. However, I do agree that it is likely that the Force Users probably returned to their respective groups. Kira and Nadia most likely returned to the Jedi, and Ashara and Jaesa probably went to the Empire since they've been blacklisted for working with Sith, regardless of their force alignment. Scourge might be back with the Sith, but I think it's more likely that he's working on his own to bring down Zakuul. I get the feeling that he's not too keen on his compatriots right now, and the feeling is likely the same visa versa. Felix, Dorne, Quinn, Rusk, and Zenith probably went back to their respective militaries, also probably with some promotions. I would not at all be surprised to find Quinn a Moff now. Rusk and Zenith likely work/have worked together doing black ops for the Republic against both Zakuul and the Empire. In fact, Rusk and Zenith's hatred of the Empire might actually be greater than their hatred for Zakuul. Akaavi may have joined as a mercenary, or is with a different group of Mandelorians now, harassing Zakuul on a different planet I don't see her being in the military though. I also think Corso probably joined the military as well, or at least is a volunteer somewhere given his patriotic spirit and always wanting to protect others. Raina probably went back to work with the Chiss, since I don't think she'd want to risk being caught by the Sith now, OR Zakuul. It's possible that Doc and Theran have joined the military as medics, or scientists. Doc is more likely to do this, though- Theran is not what you'd call a philanthropist, I don't think. He would be just as likely to be doing his own thing, happy to not be bothered and slightly inconvenienced that he can't get his favorite drinks now. I can also see Risha and Mako somehow managing to find each other in the chaos and teaming up to both profit for themselves and harassing the enemy. With Risha's smarts and Mako's slicing/access to tons of informations via her implants, they'd be a pretty unstoppable team. Skadge and Andronikus would probably get along okay professionally, in the sense that they're both criminals, they're both pretty ruthless, and they do not like double-crossers. Andronikus has (somewhat) more of a moral compass than Skadge does though, in the sense that he doesn't really like to kill civilians for no reason. And since I do not see Skadge being the boss in this arrangement, he probably follows the pirate's lead. Vector probably went back to the Hives and has regressed back to being more of a killik, loosing a bunch of his individuality and becoming more of a warrior. I see this being the case especially if he was married to the Agent and he returned to the Hive out of grief. Khem... who the hell knows where he went. He could be on a swamp world eating donuts for all we know.
  10. I went through all the convo options to see if there's any mention of Corso in there. But no, not a one. Apparently Guss didn't pay attention to Corso after the Smuggler's disappearance. Every man for himself, bro.
  11. All my jokes aside (although I do kind of feel that way), I just don't see Thexan making a comeback. He's out of the picture. Bringing him back would raise SO MANY QUESTIONS. How did he survive? Where has he been? Why didn't he try to come back? Why is he back now? Why would he want to help us at all? If he did come back, it would most likely be as an enemy at worst, a temporary ally at the best. Either way, I would NOT trust him. He comes from a family of mentally unstable snakes who turn on each other faster than you can drop a hat. Seriously, if he did survive that stab-wound, his life expectancy probably shot through the roof as soon as he got off planet. I think we're more likely to have to deal with Vaylin being a crazy ruler, and also having to deal with Arcaan returning either as a very reluctant ally if we tried to kill him (is it confirmed that we kill Senya if we shoot them down?) or as a non-trustworthy ally (if we decided to spare him). But even if he or Thexan DID come back and want to help us, why would we accept either of their help? Why should we believe that they actually want to help? They tore their way through the Empire and Republic, massacring countless people and bulldozing planets! Working with either of them would just seem like a terrible idea! Not to mention the fact that Arcaan essentially stole five years of the Outlander's life! NOT COOL, MAN.
  12. My reaction to Thexan coming back and taking the throne? TAKE IT! THIS PLACE IS INSANE AND YOUR FAMILY IS CRAZY!
  13. This was my biggest issue with him, too. His hypocritical views on Zakuul, and war in general. I honestly feel that when we first meet him, he's thinking of the Outlander as a hero for ZAKUUL, to save them from Arcaan. He's not thinking of them as being a stranger from a galaxy that Zakuul has conquered and basically enslaved. He and Senya's world views extend only as far as Zakuul does. They couldn't care less about the other planets. He went into other worlds, blew up cities and helped to kill and dominate millions, and he treats that like it's just a side-note that's quickly put aside and not at all relevant. But when you do too many things he doesn't agree with, he throws a hissy fit and eventually succeeds in stealing the best weapon that exists against the people he actually wants to fight. When you say that Valkorian killed millions of people, his response isn't "I can't believe our benevolent emperor would do that- you must be mistaken," but is instead "He was always good to Zakuul." That basically sums up he and Senya's entire mindset about this war. As long as Zakuul is safe, every other world out there can go to hell. I long for a conversation option when you can look at one or both of them and say "Just so you know, Zakuul is not the center of the universe," and also call them out on their stupid, backwards logic and how detached they are from the rest of the galaxy. If you like Koth or Senya, good for you, but I cannot wait for the chance to backhand him across his stupid face.
  14. Well, that probably comes back to bite him in the asterisk later. Hopefully. That would be nice. I have to say, I don't dislike Koth necessarily, but I don't think that he's a good fit for the Alliance. In any war, it's a regrettable fact that sometimes sacrifices have to be made. Sometimes civilians die. Sometimes in order to end a war sooner to save more lives, a city might have to be left undefended for attack. I think both Koth and Senya have a very narrow view of the universe, which in some ways is understandable, but is just unrealistic to have, especially in the Alliance. They both behave as though Zakuul is the center of the universe. And that does make sense because that's their home and that's where they've been all their lives, but pretty much every one else in the Alliance is from the Empire and the Republic, both of which have been decimated by Zakuul itself. The fact that you can't call them out on their hypocritical attitude towards how they see their people vs. how they see the rest of the galaxy is very frustrating. My toons have zero interest in Zakuul itself, outside of the fact that this is the planet where their enemies are from. After the war, unless they take the throne, they're planning to go home and if they EVER see Zakuul again, it will be too soon. They're not fighting to save Zakuul- they're fighting to save everyone FROM Zakuul.
  15. So what exactly happens with Koth in Chapter 16 if he left before and then comes back? Does he successfully steal the Gravestone this time? I feel like that would be hard because Theron and Tora are both on there still. I don't know because I never got rid of Koth on my playthroughs because I'm generally lightsided enough to avoid mass murder by explosions.
  16. When did we meet her ghost? Was it a flashpoint or something?
  17. Why not have it be the Exile? Canon female who hasn't been seen since she followed Revan. Yes, Scourge said she was dead, but Revan survived all that time, so why couldn't she have found a way herself? But I also really like the idea of it being a young Valkorian, too.
  18. One of my favorite comments made by the Inquisitor was in regards to the quest on Hoth where Talos says "I'd know Ortolan tracks if they were three days old and covered in jam." And the Inquisitor, in that perfect deadpan way of hers goes "I'll be sure to call you if Ortolans invade my galley."
  19. In this thread, we will not discuss which class is better than that class in terms of combat, but rather, which class is the Sass Master of and Comedian Commander of SWTOR! Now, I realize that each class has their moments of humor sprinkled here and there, but for some it's more like a light seasoning while for others it's the main flavor. And so I want to know which one you guys think is the funniest! In the one corner, we have the possibly mentally unhinged but scathingly sarcastic SITH INQUISITOR! And in the other corner, that captain who you just can't get the last word in with- THE SMUGGLER! Which do you guys think is funnier, and what quotes do you remember specifically to make you think so?
  20. When I read this I was drinking water and it almost went up my nose. Thank you for that. Also, Eric, thank you for not shutting down these threads either. I'm a little sad we're loosing the ME and DA threads because I loved some of the conversations we had there, but I'm very happy that these are staying around. Gotta get my nerd talk in with those who understand my strange love for pixel characters.
  21. I did hear about the Vette thing before. They probably took out all those darker things so they could keep the game in a PG-13 rating, so that more parents would be willing to let their kids buy the game and increase sales. Star Wars does have a fairly 'family friendly' reputation after all; they were smart to capitalize on that. Still, it would be interesting to see the effect those kinds of things would have had on the game at large.
  22. I have a feeling that they'll all be back by the end of this coming season, because the devs know how attached we are to them and how frustrated we would all be if the very vocal community who wants their pixel spouses back would be if they had to wait a WHOLE 'nother year to get them back.
  23. I have to say that I find people wanting to kill Quinn now is just silly. Yes, he betrayed the SW which understandably ticked off a lot of people, but in game time that was like 5+ years ago by the time we get to KOTFE. Why would your Warrior kill him now after he did something 5 years ago? I mean, if he betrays us again, I can understand why some people would do that, but I don't understand wanting to kill him as soon as we see him next.
  24. I'm assuming they'll all come back in the next story arc- Knights of the Eternal Throne. My question is, is this going to be episodic again? Because I actually kind of like doing it that way.
  25. We'll probably FINALLY return to the Republic and Empire, and likely spend a few quests going into formerly enemy territory depending on your faction. It certainly would be amusing to see the former Emperor's Wrath going to Tython to negotiate an alliance with the Jedi to oust SCORPIO. And I have a feeling that if we don't end up killing him, Arcann is going to play a big role in helping us get SCORPIO off the throne. He'll probably be defeated on two fronts when he leasts expects it- by the Alliance, and by SCORPIO, leaving him hopelessly outmatched and outnumbered. At that point we, the Outlander and presumably future Emperor/Empress will have to decide whether to keep him or kill him. I can't see Vaylin ever being our ally. She's too crazy and chaotic to care about anything but enjoying herself. I feel like she is literally the human personification of Chaotic Evil in the SWTOR universe.
