  1. I sure hope they fix this game breaking bug for these specific toons in 7.0.1; I have yet to even see them acknowledge this bug! A bit ridiculous they are asking people to test the R4 boss on PTS, when they have this bugged nightmare for an expansion. Where are their priorities?
  2. Oh and don't forget the awesome grind for those tech fragments to get the same set bonuses back that we have had for years. Does that make any sense? Take stuff away from characters and make them re-grind it all over to get it back again?? I thought game expansions were meant to EXPAND character development and progression.... what you have done is the exact reverse. Did you expect people to be happy and excited about this?
  3. Come on, really? Doubling the Conquest requirements, nerfing the conquest rewards AND dramatically limiting the solo heroics and planetary weeklies is just way over the line. Maybe one or two, but is this REALLY how its supposed to work? As a game progresses through it's life.... you LIMIT the content? Make even LESS available to players?? Yes, yes, you can still physically go do that other content, but for no rewards it obviously isn't worth it. I don't think the goal is to drive away players, but its the effect it is having, which from my experience, has been the consistent reaction to the last 2 or 3 expansions. I've lost a *lot* of friends in this game, not due to them burning out on Star Wars, but burning out on the chaos and crazy decisions made by the dev team, who want to justify whatever they do, however they want. Remember in 5.0 when one of their justifications for removing a bunch of valuable currencies (and paying us chump change for them) was that there were too many? Then what do they immediately do? Reintroduce a bazillion more currencies since then, and now I am counting 27 (TWENTY SEVEN!) in my currencies tab. Obviously, there little to no logical coherence to what they are doing or planning.
  4. TACTICALS do not work on Pub side players who changed their PRIMARY combat style (for example, a Dark sided Jedi Shadow that swapped to Assassin). The tacticals themselves still refer to Shadow abilities, even though I am in the Assassin spec. For example, the Two Cloaks tactical never gives you a second charge of Force Cloak, and based on dummy parsing, there is obviously issues with other tacticals.
  5. Yep, this expansion, along with every other expansion they have put out is garbage when it comes out. Total Garbage. Any new Expac in this game is not worth playing the first 6 months.... if it becomes worth it at all. And you forgot to list the extreme over-simplification and dumbing down of classes and removing abilities we've been used to for 10 years. Please BioWare, tell us who there thought all of this was actually a good idea? Never mind, I was being rhetorical, as they never respond to these posts.... its too embarrassing for them
  6. I'm talking changing your PRIMARY combat style to the DS equivalent (Yes, the mirror side equivalent). And this is absolutely possible..... and talked about for months before the expansion. In fact, it was so bugged, ALL of my Pub side force users, regardless of actual alignment (light or dark), was offered to change their primary combat style (probably because I had reached Dark 5 and Light 5). It was ONLY supposed to be characters who were of opposite *alignment* that were supposed to be allowed to change their PRIMARY combat style. And, of course, all Tech users in this category got the shaft and were not allowed to do any of this. I thought BioWare was Anti-Discriminatory? lol
  7. Yeah, they conveniently forgot to tell us this leveling set is worthless now. What this tells you is that anything you have now, or may acquire in the future, no matter how difficult, at any moment they will decide.... "nah, we no longer recognize your accomplishments in this game" Is this a bit of an exaggeration? Sure, but it's how we are feeling after *every* single expansion this studio has ever put out. The balance of frustrating verses interesting does not balance out until months of bug fixess, and the expacs arent worth playing until then (if they are at all).
  8. This has been the COMMON theme with this game for years. Their way or the highway... they know what is best for us and what we like better than we do. So they put on their horse blinders and earplugs, and plod on producing half-finished, shoddy work. And the kicker.... they are utterly convinced they are doing it the right way.
  9. I posted this in the class forums, submitted bug reports and they haven't even acknowledged the fact that Pub side characters who changed their PRIMARY combat style cannot use tacticals. They simply do not work, and all of these characters are essentially heavily nerfed until it is fixed. And now they are asking us to test a new ops boss? Really? Fix the problems and bugs you ALREADY have introduced instead of adding a plethora more. WHY are ALL SWTOR dev's not completely focused on actually finishing this expansion and eliminating bugs? Why have we, as consumers, become so complicit in allowing game studios to get away with releasing unfinished, bug ridden software? Why do developers think this is a perfectly acceptable solution? As a past software developer I realize bugs are a fact of the process, but this? This is way past the line, and personally, I would be deeply embarrassed to *continue* to release this kind of work.
  10. Multiple bug reports have been submitted, and they aren't even acknowledging this problem exists. AND they are asking us to test a new Ops Boss....What the Flip? This expac has been the buggiest, worthless garbage I have ever experienced in over 30 years of online game play. Conquest requirements doubled, rewards halved and the available content gutted and buggily mismatched. Why? Why? Who asked for this? Why not spend time giving us real content and fixing aggravating bugs and problems instead of conveniently forgetting about those old bugs and introducing a ton more? LOL... if they dont fix this trash, there wont be enough around to even form an ops group when they release this new ops. Certainly I won't.
  11. My Jedi Shadow turned Assassin is at a significant disadvantage, as his tacticals DO NOT WORK. This is a Shadow that changed his primary combat style to Assassin, yet even in Deception spec, the tacticals still reference SHADOW abilities and you can easily see a tactical (like the double cloak tactical) that does not work when you equip it. I'm sure this is a small % of the player population, but this is a game breaker for us in this situation.
  12. Why even bother and just remove it entirely? I know why... because they they would feel slightly obligated to give Assassins/Shadows an ability that is actually useful. Take take take.... they took way too much from us this patch and gave us buggy garbage. Bioware really needs a community manager... or at least one that actually interfaces with paying customers AND has sway in design decisions, because there is a black hole in that department.
  13. I bet I know the problem...and I've seen it before on other systems. Some Dev screwed up the versioning number and the system keeps downloading what it thinks is the current version, but is actually marked an older version. This then causes the download to re-initiate automatically.
  14. Lots of good stuff there, but honestly, a second Rocket Out in place of a new ability?? The new abilities on Sorcs and Sages look pretty interesting, but instead Merc/Commandos just get a second rocket out. Pretty disappointed with this. In all the years I've played Merc (and I only play PVE), there are probably less than a handful of times I could see myself wishing for a second rocket out. Maybe this change will be welcomed by PVP'ers, but I am really thinking PVE'ers got the short end of the stick.
