  1. Question for Ubisoft devs. I don't why why it does, it plagued my computer for several months until I narrowed it down with the help of people on the internet. It did come back a couple times after resolving. Reinstalling it is what helps. I've built a new PC since, and have also bought a new laptop. It's likely I'll not see that old issue anymore, at least I hope not. Maybe it's just the way I played it. I was usually lone wolf, traveling the open landscape, infiltrating enemies bases, 3rd person. I haven't played it in maybe 4 years, so maybe I don't remember it fully. I'm just trying to imagine what it would be like knowing Ubisoft. Watchdogs was more city based, like an off-brand GTA. Splinter Cell is linear. Far Cry is FPS, and it's own thing. I haven't played Assassin's Creed since Black Flag, but I think it's closer to Jedi Fallen Order. Playing as a female protagonist is absolutely not a problem for me. Besides, a majority of games lock you into being a male protagonist. If the problem is more related to not having both, and having the choice given to the player, it's a little more tricky. They absolutely could have made it so that the story is gender-neutral, and let players pick. Starting with Far Cry 5 for example, Ubisoft let you choose. The big problem is the game exists within Star Wars canon, so the character has to be written into such. Which reminds me, even the campaign for Battlefront II had you play as Iden Versio, a female. If the game having a female character was suppose to make a statement, such as trying to make up for male protagonist games, that's more than likely a decision forced upon us and Ubisoft by Kathleen Kennedy and her minions. A lot of times it is inconsequential. I would bet so in this game too. Other times, a story might be written around a specific person. It ties into what I said about Star Wars canon. If it was more like a MMO, where you are a nameless character that exist in the universe, and you carve your own path, it would make no difference. I don't think it will be any less enjoyable. Though it might get a bit cringy if they force in the typical "you can't do this, you're a girl" "I'm just as good as the boys if not better" yadda yadda nonsense.
  2. I do wish the game was being sold on Steam. It's not too big of a problem though. I already have Ubisoft's launcher installed as it's where I have my collection of Far Cry, Watchdogs, and Tom Clancy games. Ubisoft's anticheat software likes to cause BSODs. At least it did a few years ago, and kept requiring a reinstall to fix. I haven't played Ubisoft since Far Cry 6, so I don't know if they've gotten better or worse. I do not like Jedi Fallen Order or Jedi Survivor. I'm really hoping this won't be another Star Wars game to put on my dislike list. I do have high hopes though with it being Ubisoft. I quite enjoy Splinter Cell, Far Cry, and for the most part, Watchdogs. I'm thinking Outlaws has potential to be something like Ghost Recon, but Star Wars.
  3. I need some more level 50s, I wouldn't mind some double XP. If we get the 7.5 live stream before May 4th, it would be a good place to announce their plans, if any.
  4. The map is definitely the smallest of the 4. The only benefit to this is the sith prologue stories take like 1/3rd the time to complete compared to Tython. Outside of getting new landing areas like we've seen for Ord Mantell (Kessan's Landing), and the upcoming Hutta one for 7.5, I don't think they're going to expand the current map. I think it would be really cool to see an endgame area for Korriban be added though. Explore Korriban temples with stronger enemies, such as sith spawns, ghosts, possessed sith, and cultists. Not just the boring tomb raiders, slugs, and acolytes. Tomb raiders are pretty much a mockery of the sith and the planet. They make more sense for the Dark Temple on Dromund Kaas.
  5. +1 Would definitely be useful for those of us who are hitting that weekly on a handful of alts. If not the character selection screen, it could also find a home in the Legacy window.
  6. Every time I was shopping at Hyde and Zeek I could hear him shouting his lines through the wall and it was always annoying.
  7. Come on @EricMusco. Practice what you preach
  8. Highly frustrating. I wanted to take one of the GS6 weapons and add 340 mods to it so it can be the main weapon, but nope, Broadsword didn't think it was worth it to add mob slots. I don't understand this decision. How long until Cartel Market items are the same way? By removing mod slots from weapons, it now has to be stamped on every outfit you want to use it with.
  9. If it's not possible due to complications with the the current set up of the game engine or w/e, I have 1 word that's not going to be easy to swallow for most developers: REFACTOR. They've taken so long to fulfill this suggestion, I've already rerolled a couple new toons to replace the one with the decision I wasn't happy with. About 25% of my toons don't even have a even have a second combat style because I don't wanna regret decisions down the road. I'm now more interested in having a 3rd option 🙃 I'd like Sin/Jugg/Sorc for force users. For Tech users, there's too many combinations I'd love to set up.
  10. Agreed. I'm only for merging the servers because SS really does suffer from long queue times, and sometimes it is impossible to get a group going for an Op or WB. I've seen slightly more interest in players doing The First on Tuesday nights this year, so that's a plus. It's been tough finding groups for that in the recent years. Still room for improvement though. I have a toon on SF that I play on a few times a week. Like night and day, the toxicity between the two is easily noticeable. SF a lot more toxic than anything I've ever seen on SS. I'm guessing it's why people are filling up their 200 player ignore list so easily. As Obi-Wan might say:
  11. I've solo'd Veteran Firefrost 4 times now to complete the Quelling the Uprising GS objective this week. I won't lie, I died a number of times in total due to the spider droid adds during the first and final boss. Those droids can wipe your health from 100 to 0 in the blink of an eye if you're not careful. I'm not sure if there's a strategy for them or not. When it comes to conquest points however, I don't know if the weekly is something I'd want to solo complete every day though as it's a draining activity.
  12. It's possible. There was a recent discussion here about the Imperial Agent's ship codex. It's supposed to unlock when you enter the hanger on Dromund Kaas for the first time, but it doesn't work currently, and probably never has. If you know where these to unlock the Codex entries in question, you'll have to give it a try. Some Codex entries might just be locked to the origin story, though I can't say for sure as I don't pay close enough attention to these.
  13. When the servers are isolated in the manner they are, opening a new server this late in the game's life is not an easy thing to accomplish. The life of the server really depends on the population. Servers like SS and SF are populated with hundreds of players ranging as far back as the founding. When new players join these pre-established servers, they enter the population mix. SV is likely a ghost town, and will be for a longtime, if not forever. I'm not an APAC player, but I wouldn't move all my characters to SV for the same reasons I wouldn't move all my SS characters to SF. This is only made worse by the fact Broadsword decided to make it a somewhat fresh-start server by gatekeeping how many credits a player can transfer, and also limiting the free transfers to 16 (IIRC). Agreed. The is further ensured by the fact new players are constantly told they should join SF for a better population
  14. You scarifice the group finder weeklies, but you can filter Korriban out. When it comes to GS, I'll take the Korriban mission any day over the Tython or Manaan ones. The Tython one is too long, and the Manaan one has damage sponge bosses.
  15. What is the point of making it so rare? It's not even that cool of a mount. I've spent several hours camping the CZ-198 spawn, and I've yet to see Martinique Desler. He said it already Justice for Colicoid War Games! Put it back in group finder!
  16. I meant the opposite. I queue for Uprisings, Flashpoints, and stay in Allies/Endgame on all toons for World Bosses, Ops, and anything else needing a group. You have to be ok with silencing the population to block people in an MMO. That's nearly the entire population of Satele Shan
  17. However, getting 340 is no harder than getting 330 right now. 1 conquest will give you enough conquest comms to buy a 324 GREEN conquest earpiece, and upgrade it to 340 at the same time. . With that equipped, a flashpoint boss has a chance to drop a BLUE 340 earpiece while you're wearing at minimum a full 324 set of any color. You take that to Hyde and Zeek, and you're instantly ready to jump from 324 to 340. No FP-1 or OP-1 farming required.
  18. My point was in 2014, and 2022, and today you do not need to contact support to remove the key. OP was hacked last week. Not 12 years ago. Ok, and your point is?
  19. That's it. Thank you. The problem is when you use the Activity window to go to Kessan's Landing on an imp toon, it places you directly south of the Republic landing area, whereas if you use your galaxy map to go to Kessan's Landing, it places you exactly at the imperial landing area. Those of us using the Activity window just got a bit "lost".
  20. I will be on board only if they complete the following requirements. 1. Let us pick a third combat style 2. Let all Tech characters spec into a Force class (e.g. A Guardian-Trooper). Welcome to SWTOR 8.0
  21. For as long as I can remember, maybe around 10 years now, you can click the "Lost key" button and they'll send you an email to remove it. I've last reset my key in 2022, and it worked this way. I think most people don't know there is a link for resetting the key, so they go to support
  22. Did you mean to say 340 instead of 330?
  23. True. I don't think we don't know anything about 7.5 other than it should contain a new Hutta daily/story area, a Spring event, and some bug fixes. Really nothing to look forward to. And nothing is ever tested as everything always releases to us completely bugged and broken. If the developers actually played the game for themselves, they'd probably find plenty of bugs pre-release. They spent a few months fixing bugs on Kessan's Landing after 7.4. I can imagine the more they rush 7.5, the more completely bugged experience we will have on Hutta during the additional drip fed 15 minutes of story with its damage-sponge enemies. I bet 7.5 raises the Armor rating by +2-4, so back to grinding Tech Frags and OP-1s until 7.6.
  24. Somebody did a parse of all the companions couple years ago, and Treek was one of the lowest performing healing companions in the game. Shae Vizla doesn't excel at DPS by design, by rather a bug. One of her abilities deals full damage on every tick, and it's not supposed to. If not using ZO-OM, best healing companions will either have 2-blasters or 2-lightsabers.
