  1. It's not the pt. PT is exactly was it's supposed to be - glass canon. As dps you're not supposed to be tanking everyone, like snipers do, no. You execute your load and die. It's astonishing that devs don't realize this. I think, we either need entirely new combat system or just roll everything back to 2/3.x(with some minor balancing of course).
  2. I would love this, in fact, they should add old rakata/columi/tionese sets too. However, i don't think they care
  3. Nope, that ain't happening.
  4. Wording might be the same, but doesn't work exactly the same. Any kind of dmg, ticking, aoe, direct... adds up a stack and each stack only refreshes that 10 sec timer. Like i mentioned in previous comment. in pvp you would get all 5 stack within few seconds, after which your 10 sec of dcd basically starts. Besides, it's still nowhere near of good dcd, but i guess, at this point, we'll take anything we can get.
  5. I don't really get what people are complaining about...Difficulty is nowhere near of being hard or even classical swtor. You can still face roll ALL H4, except Section X one; open world activities are still easy as hell, same with story mode fp's. So far, only hard mode fp's seem a bit harder, but hard mode should stand for something, no? If anything, difficulty IS NOT HARD ENOUGH.
  6. Its stll nowhere near vanilla difficulty. Back in a day, title heroic actually stood for something. You couldn't just go through it with bloody healer companion.
  7. Not necessarily, it's possible we're gonna get a few Ossus-size planets and 1-2 raids, but on a larger scale, i think you're right. If solid resources were allocated to the game, we'd have gotten quite longer dlc with more than a single raid and pvp stuff. Clearly, neither EA, nor BW considers this game an essential, so we get bread crumbs...
  8. Is that so? Okay, where is roadmap? Why not say it outright: "we're gonna release content in parts". Clearly story dlc's were teased, but how long are we supposed to wait? What about new ops, pvp maps, class balance? Ah, that right, no info, as usual.
  9. That we can agree on. Playing through that expansion, no matter how mediocre i think it is, brought that nostalgia for good old days in swtor. Really glad they are finally going back to old ways. Lets see how they will play it out.
  10. Lets face it, the expansion was overblown. We clearly were hyped for this new massive batte, however what we got can be called a little skirmish. Where do i even begin: immediately after start, we are informed that Empire plans a massive assault on new shipyard on Corellia and assembled the biggest fleet for it. Well, biggest fleet ever should probably consist of more then 2 groups of 2 Harrower-class dreadnoughts and a bunch of Terminus-class destroyers. Seriously, was it hard to show like 10? That would make all the difference and show the scale of upcoming battle. After that we get to Onderon, which looks stunning, there is just no way around it. Again, however, there is next to nothing to do on actual planet. Beyond actual looks story feels generic and unfinished. For example, story on Rishi wasn't that bigger, however when i was leaving for Yavin, i felt like it, not like "wait, that's it?" It's not as if im asking for bigger planet, no, merely more substance within. It really was a poor plot writing. Similar on Mek-Sha, great looks, but even less content. And finaly flashpoint, that makes you wonder, what happened to original writers who designed old vanilla flashpoints. Though, i gotta give it to them, for finally getting a chance to join original faction back and getting back the title, im willing to neglect much for that. Boyond that, there are gearing, crafting, class balance, all of which are terrible. I agree with Estelindis here, BWA originally portrayed this game as heavy on story, so where is it? They need to finally invest more resources into it, and hire COMPETENT writers.
  11. Whereas i totally agree, that gearing is terrible right now, especially in comparison to what it was like during 3/4.x era, and crafting is ruined, i don't exactly get the problem with conquest. I took a day off to play dlc and easily surpassed 50k. Im currently sitting on 200k+. So, what's the problem? Don't give this ******** here. It's been voiced many times, that gearing system is trash. however, everyone realized, that current system wouldn't be changed, so they also provided small suggestions how to make it more palatable, but it doesn't still change the fact that it's trash. I'm not even talking about crafting, its just ruined.
  12. Yeah, you didn't think this through, mate. Any kind of incoming damage, even ticking, add up additional stacks of Power Yield. Its not like your opponent would wait for 10 sec for 4 times, so that you could stretch effects of DCD; In any real match, you would stack up 5 stacks in less than 5 sec.
  13. Unknown yet. If you join the Republic, you transform the Alliance into a taskforce and lead it. Your mission is similar to, if you keep the Alliance, which is searching for jedi or something.
  14. Its still a joke. On dps spec, Power Yield at 5 stacks increases dmg reduction by 25%(with 306 gear gonna be a bit more). Its essentially a Reactive Shield that lasts 5 sec less, but has cd 1 minute, instead of 2 on RS.
  15. I get some people's frustration, but we can hardly hope for more content. Clearly, budget of the studio depends on revenue, which wasn't "high" lately. Ultimately, it was a step in the right direction, but many people are gonna be left unsatisfied. PVP balance is gonna be insane, with all those amps, set bonuses, phase work on sniper... good luck balancing that. No new maps. Flashpoint feels short. Havn't played new op yet, but i wager it's a single boss, like monolith or fury. Not that there is something wrong with that, but people are expecting more. So, in the end, those that run ops are gonna be left unsatisfied, pvpers unsatisfied for sure. That leaves casuals and some diehard fans. I sure hope for this game's sake, they are already working at least on new 5-6 bosses long op.
  16. As if there is a point in this. Its not like BW actually pays attention to player feedback. Oh, i suggest you stop counting, because lunch of expansions typically follow up with bugs, lags, glitches and stuff. In fact, something tells me, that we'll get maintenance out of nowhere tomorrow, after expansion rolls
  17. Agreed, though it looks like you were a bit unlucky. Last time i played, out of 10 matches only 2 were HB. However, on a larger scale it is a issue. So much popping causes people to disdain the mode entirely, typically on HB i see 3-4 leave, more so on vandin.
  18. Its really ridiculous. There is no point to those 3 turrets whatsoever. And the walker, which doesn't attack opposite faction. Im guessing fixing it and adding one more should fix the problem. Though, right now, its completely broken. Yesterday, spent like 3 hours camping rep base, its reallty bizarre. Nothing within close proximity to protect you...
  19. We aint getting anything even remotely close to "extensive class stories". Best case scenario is we get 1-2 side mission connected to our class, pretty much like in SOR
  20. I really dont get this state of the galaxy they came up with. Okay, After Eternal Empire conquest i get it, both factions suffered some major casualties, loss of infrastructure, production lines. Then economic sanctions, which were designed to strangle economies and minimize chances of insurrection. All is in order. However, since there were limitations on military spending, that in itself should lower pressure of overall budget, and allow investing in side projects. Yes, they were cheating it and stuff, but still. I don't see economical collapse here. Then, for some reason food shortages. How the hell did that happen? Even if agricultural planets were hit hard during initial assault, in 5 years they should be next to completely recovered. If anything, right now overall capital is supposed to be skyrocketing. In this case, hunt for shipyards comes into play, to minimize enemy fleets. About alliance thing, you're mostly right. Except for new arrivals. Since alliance has no stable income, war or no war, people aint gonna join and work for free. Otherwise, you, as a player, being basically leader of strike team is a genuine thing. I can't really come up with anything "believable" other than that.
  21. I definitely forgot about that one. Still, it changes next to nothing. Even if most of your faction still stays, especially republic diehard soldiers like Jorgan, which i dont believe is the case, but whatever. That leaves us with: -limited manpower -limited resources -small fleet -Iokath Since no major population center or industrial would is under faction's control, there is no stable income of money and raw resources as well as no way of replenishing manpower. Connection to other worlds, may be even gratitude and stuff is not enough to finance your army. That leaves Iokath. Okay, its basically a giant shipyard. Problem is alliance has nowhere near enough resources to build a sufficient fleet, moreover neither of other 2 factions would allow that. Virtually, alliance is a big merc group with shipyard. Again, why should anyone care? If it were up to, id just annex Iokath and tell this alliance to get lost. Even if its not the case, you can bet, that faction you're allying to would demand transfer of control over Iokath to them.
  22. What would keep republic soldiers and people, like Jorgan, from going back to original faction? They sided with opposite faction to defeat common enemy and, as soon as this enemy is dead, which is the case, why in hell would they stay? Yes, you can keep most of your companions, but not actual foot soldiers. On a larger scale, how do you think alliance is suppose to work? After eternal fleet is destroyed, most of star systems leave you. That basically leaves you with just Odessen, which doesn't have any industry or anything. How do you plan to sustain your army? Combine that with lack of fleet, and it brings us to my original point, why should any faction care at all? If anything, its you, who need them.
  23. While i do agree to certain degree, i don't see how this alliance can continue any longer. Its clear, that when new rep/imp was begins, you're gonna ally yourself to one of those. That automatically means half of your alliance exits and goes back to it's original faction. Besides, since alliance doesn't have massive fleet, or any fleet for that matter, im wondering why any of major factions should care at all. Both of republic and empire have large fleets and huge armies. Why bother? While i've always wanted third faction, its just not that. May be its me, but i think hutt cartel would've been better, as a third faction.
  24. Okay, armor like that never officially made it to the game. The thing is, there are literally lots of armor pieces within the assets that were never used. Im pretty sure this one is one of those. I looked on tor fashion, you can 0retty much put similar set by using different parts/dyes.
