  1. It's from the collector's edition, isn't it? Well, I don't have Malgus statue, but got fancy 200$ cerberus Normandy SR-2. It's beyond the point, but I couldn't help myself not to brag.
  2. You should definitely define that back in a day because I've been playing since 1.4. I'd say this game and pt/vg has seen better days for sure. As for pyro, before the latest patch, it was better than AP/Tactics, but they nerfed it a bit and added autocrit to Powerlode. Now it's the other way around.
  3. For simple regs there is little to no point in playing tank/skank, though I guess it depends on your personal preference. Personally, I'm using AP/Tactics with Meteor Brawler armor set and Powerlode tactical. They buffed the tactical by adding autocrit, so it's now much more fun and powerful. Besides, if you got a pocket heal, you don't have to worry about survivability that much . I'm using high crit/low alacrity build(as pretty much all vanguards/pts) + 105% accuracy -- 638.
  4. Okay, can’t say I’m that big of a pro-tank, I’m more of a DPS. In terms of gearing, there are three viable sets for a shield tech: 1. Squad Leader – 10% dmg reduction to you and allies upon activation of Reactive Shield. Useful bonus in PVP for sure. 2. Emergency Power – Increase in duration of RS and buffing Power Yield. If you’re gunning for more survivability – this one is for you. 3. Meteor Brawler – Energy reduction of Stock Strike, 10% dmg increase and Ionfall. In terms of tacticals: 1. Life Warden – Health boost from below 20% close to 100%. 2. Thermal Screen – Additional Stack to Power Yield, also, upon activation you start with 6 stacks. 3. Hotswap – Transponse gives next to 50% dmg. reduction. This one is very situational but fun. Opener: Storm -> Ion Storm -> Ion Pulse -> Stock Strike -> High Impact Bolt -> Stock Strike/Ion Pulse -> Ion Storm -> Energy Blast. Priority: Energy Blast -> Stock Strike -> High Impact Bolt -> Ion Storm -> Ion Pulse -> Hammer Shots. Obviously preload Shoulder Cannon and shoot it at will. From this point, I’d recommend going Skank Tank full on. Our DCD’s are still a joke and won’t help much. Might as well make the most from what we have. In terms of stats, go for ~40% of Critical Chance which is around 4k of critical Rating and ~7,5% of Alacrity—around 1k. Use DPS relics and make sure to keep the shield offhand.
  5. If I'm not mistaken, it was a reward for Oricon story missions. Devs pulled out those rewards with 4.0, so it's unavailable. Look at Torfashion for similar ones. Maybe one of the "Remnant" ones.
  6. Don't know anyone who ever said that. Logic is simple -- license runs out in 2023 -- that's the deadline. Why would EA renew the license for a game that barely makes any revenue? And, judging by the declining player base, don't expect a miracle to happen. We're already getting bread crumbs, so much so that in half a year we didn't even get something of the size of Ossus DLC. No, we got 10 min DLC. Enjoy while it lasts.
  7. News flash, BWA is working on a complete revamp of Anthem. Besides, if you're one of those who still somehow believe in a good future for swtor, I got news for you -- EA and BW are milking whats left of this game until its inevitable shut down in 2023. At this point, be glad they're releasing something at all.
  8. Pretty much everything I write only concerns PvP.
  9. After 6.1 it's actually awesome. So much so that I think powerlode tactical may actually be overperforming now.
  10. Since you're new, I assume you primarily focus on PvE stuff, so you'd better google newest 6.0 class guides and get the latest gear, augment it, practice your rotation, especially in the long run. I've seen many new guys quite frequently run out of energy because they don't feel like using a basic attack and overall bad energy management.
  11. First of all, you're speaking of bygone 1.x/2.x era. Back then classes didn't have that many movement boosters, stuns, roots, etc. Which was indeed an issue. I too remember how pt's under HTL wrecked everything and everyone. And yes, HS and HIB were abused. But, with 3.x it was changed: range was limited to 15-20m, whereas other classes got needed abilities and utilities to stop pt/vg's.
  12. Well, not exactly. Like Coruscant, Iokath is already a develop world, you can hardly find any raw materials there. Though I agree that it has a great amount of advanced technology, something tells me, it’s largely incompatible with existing one. Speaking of Machine Gods, I don’t really know what’s their purpose, other then for operation. I don’t think it was properly explained, what exactly they are capable of. Practically everything that is even remotely connected to Iokath is a mess. Kinda feels like even BW realized this, so they did something they always do in situations, like this one – forget it even exists. I’m pretty sure we ain’t gonna hear about it. Definitely don’t agree here. At no point of war with EE did “Alliance” have a significant forces. They were always something of a guerrilla force that hit the most vulnerable targets and run before enemy reinforcements arrive. I’m trying to looks at it realistically, that’s why I don’t see a reason for majority to stay there. Of course, BW would try to create a sense that “Alliance” isn’t done for, when it’s quite clear that it is. They have to placate those few who somehow like the “Alliance”, so that they don’t unsub from the game…understandable (got I love when story is being explained in bloody emails, instead of cutscenes and actual dialogues…) Still, army of Both Empire and Republic number in millions. Can you say the same about the “Alliance”? In any case, had I’ve been at the help of Republic/Empire, I would have hit Iokath, instead of Corellia. In what universe does it make sense to leave your opponent a world full of advanced tech? For all we know, Iokath can hold 100 shipyards, whereas Corellia got a single advanced one. This way they could’ve resolved Iokath’s arc.
  13. Nope, not even close. Okay, since Bioware couldn’t have been bothered with creating lore to justify all the nonsensical ******** that came with Eternal Empire, I’m gonna speculate mostly. Odessen itself is located in the middle of unknown regions, aside of Zakuul, it’s literally thousands of light-years away from any populated planet. From what we know, no actual civilian settlements are on Odessen, same goes for industry. Practically, it’s just a military base. At the end of KOTET, it’s possible that some independent systems joined the “Alliance”, but upon destruction of the fleet, there is no reason to be in it whatsoever. Essentially, we’re left with two planets – Odessen and Iokath in the middle of nowhere, with no resources or industrial output, agriculture, etc. At this point, there is no question, whether it can challenge or fight – it can not. Question is, can it even exist and for how long. Speaking of it’s armed forces, it’s fair to say, that most of it’s forces are veterans and volunteers from other factions, with little to no actual loyalty to the “commander” or the “Alliance”. For the most, “Alliance” is just the means to destroy Eternal Empire, nothing more. After the events on Ossus, at least half of the “Alliance” leaves. Consequently, we’re left with even more weakened forces and mandalorians, that are still part of the Alliance for… some reason. Knowing all of that, neither Republic nor Empire should give a damn about it. Needs of the “Alliance” far outweigh it’s benefits, especially given it’s location. Extending supply lines that far into the Wild Space is madness. It would be cheaper and more beneficial to recruit and train a bloody battalion of soldiers.
  14. Every class has 5% base defense chance, with an exception of sorc - 10% on melee and ranged attacks and 0% for Tech/Force damge. Dps have only Hammer Shot and High Impact Bolt as ranged, everything else is tech, so having 105% doesn't really make sense. Default 101% should be fine.
  15. Not sure, but Durasteel Wall seems better, it can stack up to 3% dmg. reduction.
  16. Why, because BWA combat team has no clue what the hell they are doing. It's been years like this, hell, it's not even the only issue vg has. To this day, it hasn't been addressed in any way.
  17. I take it you mean dps builds. Well, rotation is still the same for both specs. Difference comes with latest DLC in terms of tacticals. For tactics it's powerlode and for plasmatech - superheated fuel. I think the best gear set is 6 piece master brawler, however you can stack something else instead of last 2 pieces, like crit, alacrity etc. Best amps for dps is tech wizardy.
  18. Excuse me, but are we speaking of Onslaught dlc? Even Oricon dlc has more content, then this "expansion". Dont remember correctly, but SOR launched with 2 fps, 2 raids and 4-5 hour story. That's not even half of what we got with onslaught. Besides, if what you say is true, i will be the first on forums, creating thread praising the progress, but it's highly unlikely. If it was planed out this way, we'd get roadmap, rather then promises of "something" around February.
  19. Got me there, but that alone tells there is ONE flaw in my post. SWTOR had all the chances to compete and surpass WOW, but it was wasted, in a similar manner, as in Anthem. It had an identity or rather genre crisis, where is was labeled as mmo rpg, but it, in fact, was story rpg set in mmo environment. It’s launch was actually quite successful, much better then ESO on pc. However, devs later on stated, that there will be no more class stories and actual mmo content was still month away, so after first 3 month, huge chunk of players left. Only launch of ROTHC managed to bring some of them back. Revenue for 2013 is higher then ESO launch in 2014, so it was doing quite well. SOR had lower numbers, which can very well be attributed to buggy launch, mediocre story, broken scaling, new utility system…Yet, still it was 100 mil+. Had they not went full retard with KOTFE/KOTET, they would have had higher revenue for sure. But, it’s not what happened. Both “expansions” saw massive player exodus, so remainers hoped for Legion-like expansion, but we got joke of a DLC. It’s barely worth 1 month sub, if anything. In the end, it’s not our fault, that swtor fares poorly, it’s EA and BWA who don’t want to invest anything into SWTOR again. And latest news on Anthem only proves that. Just think about it, they want to invest AGAIN into the game, that totally flopped. And not a small investment. They want to completely overhaul the game. May be it’s me, but it kinda shows their priorities.
  20. News flash, there is a difference between revenue and profits. Actual profits are, at least, twice lower. And again, why do you think we're not getting consistent updates like during 2/3.x era? Because actual profits are LOW. Knowing that, EA does what is does best, which is milk it for all it's worth. Sure, you can stick around for as long as you want, OP said he will cancel his sub. Last time i checked, he's not urging anyone else. Besides, where exactly i'm incorrect. or factually wrong? Do tell.
  21. LOL. It made a billion in 9 years, again 9 years. Developing swtor took 250-300mil + 100mil on advertisements. Beside that, EA has to pay for the license. Take that into the account. Also, most of profits came from direct purchase of the game during it's launch + sub. After that game went full free-to-play, but still charged for expansions. Post 4.x subbed player base dropped and even more so during 5.x. Why do you think we didn't get any numbers on 4/5.x revenue? Because of was LOW.
  22. No, swtor is a source of minor profit, always was. Major sources of profits are those idiotic sports games, they literally make billion a year. Post 5.x swtor clearly doesn't make nowhere near of the sum. Why do you think we're not getting any worthwhile updates, but only cartel market ****? No revenue - no content. The guy makes a good point, why stay and pay for the game, that doesn't make any new content? Because of fanboyism? Even that has it's limits. It's not about protest, people are gonna unsub naturally due to lack of content. And, judging by bioware's plans, we ain't gonna be having anything worthwhile for years to come, if ever. Personally, i've been in this game since mid 2012 and i'm a huge fan of EU, but even i'm getting tired of this ********.
  23. The guy is probably right. Bioware plans on completely overhauling the game. That takes manpower and a lot of resources. That said, Bioware is also working on next DA and ME. Likely most of BWA would be working on Anthem. There is no conspiracy here, judging by the size of latest DLC, i highly doubt we're gonna get consistent updates every few month.
  24. Well aware of the difference. Obviously, part of revenue goes to Disney for licence, but still, GW2 made less money, but somehow has more content? Why is that? Yes, "story driven" mode has failed, but i believe it was replaced in 2.x with just the right model. It gave us tons of story, daily areas, raids, pvp stuff.
  25. Ironic. that Anthem is a big flop, basically a dead game, but it's about to get a massive expansion that will overhaul the entire game. Whereas actually profitable swtor gets joke of an expansion. Actually, it can't be called that, it's glorified DLC. https://kotaku.com/sources-bioware-plans-a-complete-overhaul-for-anthem-1839892415
