  1. How about we review new meta first and only then start creating new features for abilities? Otherwise, chances are, we're creating op builds.
  2. Im kinda concerned about that as well. If anything, we need to reduce amount of abilities, lower ttk. Overall, even snave mentioned that, classes lost their uniqueness. Adding more ****** abilities definately aint gonna help with that.
  3. Dont hold your breath. With most of team working to fix trashem, i mean anthem, i highly doubt we're gonna get a huge planet. Its gonna be a miracle, if they can pull off medium size, like rishi.

    Glass cannon report

Dont even remind that 4.0 patch. They took away range, nerfed dcd's for no gosh darn reason. Its asinine, how anyone thought its was a good idea. Seems like whenever bw wants to "balance" things, they just make it so much worse. And to this day, its not adresed whatsoever, amazing. At this point, i think 30% dmg. reduction should be back, 20m range back, trauma regulators, decreased time on shoulder missile, heal on it back to 5 from 3, and buff adrenaline rush.
  5. News flash, as long as mods are visual/sound only, you can do whatever you want with them. No one is getting banned. Bioware acknowledged that years ago, they just dont care, as long as it doesnt create any unfair advantages and so on.
  6. At this point, are you even surprised? Most of pvp-community left long ago. Besides, as strange as it may seem, huttball seem to pop up at higher frequency than regular deathmatch maps like alderaan/yavin. Also, at this point, lots of people are so sick of huttball
  7. Literally everyone i know hates AB animation. Mortal valley looked SO MUCH better. But, actually, you can change it. Modding in swtor is allowed, and, i believe, couple of modders already recreated old animation and sound to it. Just download, and apply it
  8. Come on, its not always that bad:) On red eclipse, in the evening, typically, you can have a good time.
  9. This time around its not ea bruh, its devs themselves. EA gave them 6 years and 400mil to develop a game with literally no pressure, aside of insisting of frostbite. The fact that devs didn't and still dont see the vision for anthem is hardly ea's fault, not to mention postponing huge amount of work until last year or so. I think bw's devs call it bioware magic. All this stuff started from DAI, which received positive reviews, despite it being a massive let down, in comparison to first DA and older games. If anything, EA should fire lead managers and others who facilitated this **** for so long.
  10. Its not quite the same. Launches of both games are similar, but major change in direction for swtor came only with 4.0, which was asinine. What kind of genius thought, that mmo rpg doesnt need actual mmo stuff is beyond me. But, aside of that, there is no evidence of mismanagement in austin studio of that scale. Yes, there were **** ton of miscommunication and completely retarded decisions over the years, but its not a product of that. Then, of course, we all knew, that new content aint coming any time soon, because of release of garbage called "anthem" and dlc to it, i believe its called cataclysms or something. After it launches in spring, may be and only may be, than they will swap back onto swtor to make 6.0.
  11. Definitely agree, skill tree allowed a certain levels of versatility, however there indeed was a problem of op hybrid builds. And, once again, instead of fixing already existing system, bw think its easier to remove it and replace with much simpler one...
  12. So true mate, so true. Though you forgot to mention really long TTK. It should definately be reduced. Overall its a mess. I got no clue, who tested these marvelous changes to pvp, ever since 4.0 kicked in...
  13. I get you bro, i really miss 30m hib and full auto(still dont get why they removed full auto of all things?!). But, on mid-range DPS don't agree. Class was unique in a way, that you were forced to engage both mid-range and melee range, in order to maintain dot and keep optimal dps. Which made us good counters to melee classes. Yes, lots of people were disregarding the range and going head on fighting and dying withing moments after that. In 4-4 and, especially, 8-8 that range may not matter that much, but 1-1, 2-2 it makes all the difference in the world. I do agree, that against long-range classes kiting is pointless, as its supposed to be, but against melee its very needed. Maras/jugs have good reflect/mitigation dcd's, as well as high dps ratings. Kiting them in the past and pretty much now, under htl and 15% movement boost was and still is a must to survive. Operatives, while having lower dps, have lots of movement imparing abilities, and 2 stuns, which is hard to survive already, unless, of course, you get a good jump on them. Against sins, however, its pointless, because of 4 bloody stuns and Force speed every 15 sec. All in all, having 15-20m range, along with 15% movement boost, and Entangling Tools utility, would give us a much better chance to defeat any melee class. On Truama Regulators and Adrenaline rush, 100% agree. And, they definately should reduce back reload time of shoulder cannon, as well as, make it to 5% heal, not 3.
  14. Hey everyone, recently bioware devs on pvp podcast acknowledged many areas that needs improvement, including class balance, which needs some serious work. Now, ever since 4.0 vg/pt suffered a huge blow, where they reduced range to 10m on most of abilities and nerfed already lackluster dcd's, while giving slight bump in damage. Now,i wanna focus primarily on pvp, since reduced range and dcd's didnt quite hurt class viability in pve. Over the years, lots of changes were proposed, but almost non of them mention giving back 15-20m range. At this point, opinions of "vg/pt community" divide. Most of players just think giving reflect/mitigation abilities would change something. While, with enough of dcd's, that may very well be the case, but that change would effectively ruin the core feature of the class, which, at least used to be, mid-range kiting, not melee all the time. Class itself, since original launch, was designed to be mid-range. I realize that, prior to 4.0 tanks/skanks were a problem but instead of fixing that, all specs were reduced to melee, without any concern of survivability. So, if you agree with my opinion, i think its high time to start buzzing around to give us back range back and, obviously, improvement of dcd's/rework of utilities.
  15. Despite idiotic nerfes and range reduction, still vg/pt holds good raid utility. Tactics holds the best burst, which always come in handy, while plasmatech is among the highest parsing dot spect. Tank, however, is mediocre. I mean when bloody adrenal gives you higher dcd than actual shield dcd, you know something is wrong there. Though high mobility definately a positive thing. Speaking of pvp, as long as you utilize htl and stuns when needed, your gonna melt people down. In the right hands, you can wipe even good players on fotm/op classes.
  16. Definately agree here. Once range was reduced as hell, class become broken as hell and boring. It still buffles me that they nerfed range on all specs because of skanks in pvp. What the hell dps have to do with this is a mystery. Sad part is that they likely wont give us any range back, just give us 1 crappy dcd...
  17. Is this a joke, mate? vg/pts players have been begging bw to add anti-globalling dcd for a reson. In most cases, you die like in 30 sec.
  18. Haha, was laughing at that for a while. Still, as unlikely as it may seem, i kinda thought of putting champs to encourage ppl to coop more. In that hypothetical, you wouldnt even start burning champ, since you could easily get blasted by enemy pvper, like near pylon on Ilum.
  19. Well, it would make sense to hide unlocks/boosts under champ. adds. Outside of those, only gold ones make sense.
  20. Huh, great idea mate. Though, since you wont to combine pvp with pve, probably adding some gold/champion adds would certainly make a game a bit more fun.

    PvP nostalgia

Ah, good old days. I still remember the time, when Tatooine pvp zone was alive....It even seems, as if classes had more balance. After 2.5x pvp has gone to ****.
  22. Mate. swtor will stick around as long as it makes money.
  23. PVP stuff: 1. Class balance(especially when it comes to vg/pt, give dps back at least 20m range) 2. Indeed, 1-1, 2-2 arenas would be nice. 3.Revive pvp zone on Tatooine. 4.Add Flagship sieges.(I know im not the first to propose this, but how cool would be assaulting flagship of another guild?!) 5.More pvp modes 6.More maps for pvp/starfighter. PVE stuff: 1.More operations. 2. New wbs, and buff the old ones significantly, as well as rewards for them. 3.Comprehensive story that makes sense. 4.New Daily zones. 5. Christ, return difficulty to heroics, as well as, the story. (Its laughably easy now) 6. Original story replay. 7. Buff old datacrones, and add new ones,
  24. Giving 2 dcd's wont help much. The entire point of p/vg was to kite your opponent. WIth 10m range its next to impossible, since our utilities are broken(there is a huge slower on mag shot, but, in order to take, it you have to sacrifice either HO or stun brake on adrenaline)., as well as the fact, that since 3.0 most classes got multiple abilities to increase movement speed. The real solution is to give back at least 20m range back.
