  1. Don't feel bad. If you had posted in an old topic he would have showed up just to yell at you for necro posting. There's no way to win.
  2. The problem, as I see it, is that the people in charge of development are not gamers who enjoy gaming. It's hard to design a fun game when you have no personal experience of what makes gaming fun.
  3. Don't be a douche. People are allow to spend their vacations doing whatever they want.
  4. I'm all for new Star Wars games and even a new Star Wars MMORPG. But, as Borsh pointed out above, TOR is not going anywhere. For good or for ill it's alive and well. Love it or hate it. Sorry.
  5. Revan lore was ruined the moment they assigned "him" a canonical gender.
  6. Yep, I agree, the team is very talented at making bad impressions on new (and old) customers. You are not totally SOL, however. You can unlock the weapon in your collections so that you can reclaim unlimited copies of it among all your legacy characters. This costs extra CC (400 for a gold item like those cartel market weapons) but at least it's an option. And as the poster above pointed out, you can put mods in the shell so that it is as powerful as any other weapon. Hope you have a better experience of SWTOR in the future. Despite the developers' efforts alienate their playerbase, there's still a lot of fun to be had playing this game. Cheers.
  7. This is what I'd do...class-specific dailies/weeklies. I'd create an expansion that focuses on unique new class-based special events like the bounty hunter event. Contraband smuggling for smugglers. Military operations for troopers. Jedi extermination for warriors. Political assassinations for imperial agents. Dark council missions for inquisitors. Padawan training for Jedi Knights. Diplomacy missions for consulars. This is the kind of "expanding" that SWTOR needs, in my opinion. Repeatable MMO content that allows us to play our toons IN CHARACTER by tackling activities specifically connected to class lore.
  8. The suggestion forum is full of people reaching out to the devs with great ideas...which go completely ignored. So you're not alone.
  9. Yep...in other MMOs, the gear reset happens because brand new endgame group content is being released. In SWTOR, the gear reset happens because BW randomly decides to erase our progression. gg dev team
  10. The moment they started selling CXP boosters on the CM it became a cash grab. The system is obviously tuned to punish us for not buying/using them.
  11. I suggest you start playing on a much more populated server, such as Harbinger (PVE, West Coast) or Ebon Hawk (RP, East Coast). That way you'll never feel lonely and have to pay for server transfers. Hope you find friends! Welcome to SWTOR and enjoy your stay!
  12. Yep, just quit the game. They've no reason to take you seriously if you're still shelling out the $15 per month.
  13. Well, SWTOR is also legends, so there's no need to be faithful to the canonical timeline...
  14. Cross server queues really hurt the WoW community -- I'd hate to see that happen here as well. Currently on my server (EH) it's common for people to say hi and goodbye, as well as chat a bit, during flashpoints. In WoW you're lucky if someone bothers to speak up and insult your DPS. That's because WoW players come from different servers and know they'll never see each other again. In SWTOR there's a chance of making friends with your team mates...and the danger of making enemies with someone on your server helps encourage people to behave. Yes, it would be nice to have a larger pool of players to queue with, as this would speed up queue times. But to me at least that's not worth the cost of toxic stranger-to-stranger animosity.
  15. Judging by their track record, the writers will probably just forget/ignore the outcome of KotFE/KoTET and make up another mediocre storyline where some random bad guy shows up so you can defeat him. And then buy his armor set off the Cartel Market!
