  1. I'm not really sure about Theron hacking Tyth. The only line I remember was the "This is similar tech to Tyth so I should be able to hack it." I just took that to mean he'd seen the tech before on Tyth, not that he had hacked into Tyth before they'd defeated him. If Theron was the shrouded figure, then he did put something on the console, but I think there's a big difference in doing something like short-circuiting the throne and controlling a giant robot.
  2. Tyth says: "You were lured here. Blinded by duty, distracted by trust. You did not see the blade to your neck. The rage in your shadow. The traitor. You are betrayed. One marked by anger, pain, hope eroding. The betrayer lured you to Iokath. Ignited war. Sparked the engines of rage .. blah blah blah" Then, when your character wakes up, he says "Someone betrayed me. They lured me to into that death trap AND sabotaged the throne. Just like they tricked us all into fighting a war on Iokath." Theron: "Sounds like an inside job. Only a handful of people could get close enough to sabotage the throne." -So you and Lana are under the impression that the throne was sabotaged and that the person who lured everyone to Iokath was the same person who "sabotaged" the throne to kill the Commander. At the space station, Theron says to Vinn, " I also led the commander into that trap on Iokath. You wouldn't hear me out, so I took matters into my own hands." -That's so infuriatingly vague. "that trap". Well, ****, there were multiple traps. The whole planet was a trap. If you take everything literally, then Theron DID start a galactic war on Iokath, he did get his Father killed, he did try to fry you on the throne and it was all his idea to do those things. The prosecution rests.
  3. I know right, lmao. I also died laughing when Vinn threw Theron into Lana and knocked her over.
  4. No, I thought the original betrayal was the data being leaked and starting the Iokath war. That was the outlander's planet, he'd been there for a long time looking for secrets, and then someone with insider knowledge shared it with the Republic and Empire and they showed up. So you're saying Gemini did that and not Theron? I wasn't even clear on what was happening with the throne, if it was being sabotaged by the hooded figure to kill us or to save us. I thought that was all secondary to the original betrayal of the data leak. So that might have been Theron sabotaging the Throne to *save* the commander and weakening Tyth? Okay, that part makes total sense, thanks.
  5. Also, guard your nits, they're about to get picked! I guess this should go in spoilers since it's about the end of the flashpoint.
  6. Yeah, I think we all got that vibe and I also got the vibe from the woman Chiss as well. lol. I think this was one elaborate bachelor party for Theron; seducing and spying his way across the galaxy before he settled down. It does come across that they've changed the story in mid-stream, or had no idea where it was going when they first published Iokath. I'm sure that's not uncommon in the professional world of writing, though, to figure it out as you go along. I think what they presented in terms of dialog, animation, music, etc, was good, but it needed a clearer thread to tie the four areas together as a whole. I can overlook relatively minor things such as Valss' role, or GEM's backstory, or other smaller questions. What I can't get past is not being clear on Theron's specific actions and motivations. If we can't even figure out HOW he betrayed us, then what do we forgive him or punish him for? Actually, though, I was really frustrated with that scene on Nathema where he comes out from behind the rock and kinda sorta explains what was happening, but not really. My character just stands there passively and is not able to ask any of the questions I had as a player. I'm not able to do any of the human reactions you'd expect from someone who's just seen their long lost love. I can't get mad and pull out my weapon or I can't get happy and rush to hug him. I just remember it sucking real bad.
  7. It's okay, I got my answer => Nobody knows what the **** is going on and why do I care so much? I tried getting into the show when it first came out but got bored. Maybe i'll give it another go.
  8. I just imagine it's like being a US Senator. You don't become a Senator because you "worked hard" and were good at your job. You get it because you outmaneuvered and got more resources than your opponent. I mean, can you imagine if everyone in the Senate were Sith Lords instead of mere mortals? Can you imagine the kind of shenanigans you'd have to engage in to compete at that level? Lana's not ambitious, she just happened to trip and fall right into being the Eternal Emperor's most trusted advisor. -_- It's like Wormtongue's backstory, sheesh.
  9. Yeah she's definitely not unhinged, but she and Marr didn't get to the Dark Council and head of Sith Intelligence because they didn't like power. They're both cunning and calculating.
  10. No. I've saved his life and that's as far as I've gotten. I'm going to drag this out until I go on vacation May 25th. Don't rush me. His fate is in my hands.
  11. My mind is sorta blown that you all think Lana would never betray the Commander for power. Have you seen dem glowing eyes? The lightning shooting out of her fingers? Have you ever watched a Star Wars movie?!
  12. lol you know your brain isn't alone in this. Not around these parts.
  13. Charles chose Theron cause he has a ***** for Lana. Seriously, though, "predictable" and "explainable" are not the same. I could write a quaint English murder mystery and have a random badger as the murderer instead of the town creep. No one would have ever predicted that, but ***, who can explain a murderous badger?
  14. I just can't see him doing that to a romanced Commander, though. That would definitely spell a death-sentence for him in my book. I always play dark, and I can see him getting fed up and worried about that, but how many times did they profess their love for each other? It was ridiculous pda. He wasn't *that* freaked out. They really f'd up when they didn't make Lana the traitor. It would have been SO EASY to explain it any way you played it. She's sith, she got corrupted by the ds, she wanted power, etc. She used the order to get Zildrog and kill everyone to become immortal like Vitiate did. She was tired of bailing your *** out and you taking credit for all her plans. If you just *really * loved Lana for some reason, you could defeat her and take her back if you so chose, but at least it would all make sense.
  15. Yeah, I think I could handwave away Iokath, pretend someone else started that whole thing and got his Father killed. Maybe it was that Elvis haired decorator dude. Never liked him anyway. I think I could have been on board with him going undercover up to the point of grabbing that map. That's when he should have just handed it to me. "Here commander. Here's where Zildrog is. Go get it before Vinn does." and then it would have been over and me and Valss and Theron could have celebrated with some tequila shots and it'd been cool. Because when you think about it, everything Theron did was sorta pointless. He let Vinn and co activate Zildrog, which then destroyed my fleet and the gravestone. So now my Alliance is basically powerless, Zakuul is out, and I also think Theron might be a crazy person. I think now my choice is between letting him stay in the alliance as frands or continuing the romance, but not marriage. PS. I think just letting him go is a weird choice. Like, you don't trust him enough to work with him, so you'll just turn him loose to wreck havoc? If "throw him in jail so he could think about how reckless he's been till he's real sorry about it" was an option, I'd have taken that.
