It's not so much a problem, then a hope they don't do what you just said. These 8 characters deserve a unique "starting point", specially if this expansion is story driven. It's a trap! And we get frozen would feel, cheap...

It makes sense to focus on the story, it is the one thing SWTOR has over pretty much every other MMO out there, graphics, engine, combat and so on are serviceable but nothing to write home about. By focusing on the game's greatest strength they ensured it will thrive and as long as it does I have no doubt more OPs will eventually be added.

Maybe we do start with nothing but what we had on and then the very 1st, quite easy mission, is to salvage our old ship which gives us access to our cargo hold, droid companions and Nico who receive a beacon when you re-started your ship or something.

Yes, in the story only one person get's frozen, but you need a scenario on how this happens to each class because the "Outlander" can be any of those 8 classes". So all 8 will need a story reason to end up in stasis/carbonite for years.

Actually I'm more curious how they're gonna explain 8 very different people getting trapped/secured for years. Empire's Wrath? Betrayed by Quinn, we all knew this was goign to happen! Sith Council member? Stuck in Khem's stasis field after losing a bet. Super Spy? Frozen on purpose to fight this new Empire from the inside once all believe him/her dead. Bounty Hunter? Was sold out by Fatbastard, you know who I mean. Master Jedi? Traps him/herself along the last body the Emperor held. Smuggler? Slipped on a space banana and ended up in carbonite. Consular? Put in stasis thanks to vision from the Voss as to keep him/her safe. Havoc leader? Crashes on Hoth after taking an experimental super soldier serum.

Wait, could this mean the male players may find their companion spouses with children?!

Huh, so I guess the whole no faction thing many imagine is true then? I mean of both the Empire and Republic are gone I don't see how our force using Captain Americas are gonna be pat of either.

I thought about it, problem is he can't set specific time aside to play the game I usually just buy him the latest expansion as part of his birthday gift. P.S. To all the blind people bringing F2P into this, I'm wondering if they'll have a CC way to buy the chapters, not asking to make them free, learn to read...

My only problem, if you read my above response is being able to pay more money then my sub to buy the expansion and the following chapters for a friend, not how this should be free or what not.

I was more worried about not being aale to buy the chapters for my Preferred friends actually, not F2P players.

Agent is great in that you understand a lot of things that didn't make sense when playing other classes. Inquisitor is a great story line, classic rag to riches with lightsabers. Jedi Knight is the closest to KOTOR 3 we'll ever get. The others are fun too, with smuggler being the funniest of all, Tatooine, oh God Tatooine XD The only story line that I found lacking is Consular the last arc is basically the continuation of a Jedi Knight's companion's story, talk about feeling like second fiddle...

... You have no idea how to build a ship or how GSF work do you? There are many reasons why shooting at someone until you're empty will result in 0 damage, be it evasion, wrong range, wrong angle, wrong weapons, wrong timing (enemy has DF up) and so on, Hell I have found out that many new players try to aim not with their reticule but with their navigation cross airs... The fact you claim "and all the crew are for accuracy" when only the copilot can give any accuracy proves this. You further compare the same weapons on different ships and expect the same stats, which is impossible seeing how they have different components available to them. So technically one could assume that, if you can avoid getting hit, you can boost indefinitely on a scout?

Actually if all servers where to merge I fully expect it to be a PvE server, the PvE players out number the PvP ones so it wouldn't make any kind of sense to force open world PvP on the majority for the sake of the minority.
