  1. Except that if you really wanted a challenge you could have created a self imposed one, we can't bring our companions back to pre 4.0.2... Your problem has a solution that can be implemented by the players, ours did not, it's really not the same. But if you feel having to change your play style to gain back what you lost is reason enough to leave I can understand that. I could recommend GW2 and TERA as action based MMOs that can be challenging even in solo content, plenty of group content that is harder them hard as well, gl!
  2. HAHAHAH! This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard! Yes, the people of the forum are a minority and in that minority your side is a minority, so why should we listen to you at all by your own logic? Also Eric asked for feedback in the forums, not in an open email to all players, not as part of a log-in survey, nope he asked the forums *only*, meaning we are the only players that matter. Face it you're a minority and as such, you don't count when it comes to game wide decisions, specially when it comes to a problem you could have fixed yourself. You could have nerfed yourself to find a challenge with the old companions, under the current ones we can't buff ourselves into being "OP" again. But of course nerfing yourself would have required a self challenge and you guys don,t like challenges, wait was what you guys wanted again.. It wasn't a challenge was it? Humm...
  3. Quick question, important question! Will these changes that will be known Monday be set on stone or will they be open for consideration?
  4. Hell, not only would it be more accurate it would be less subjective too! Make it a simple question: "Rate from 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest and 10 the highest, your perceived level of enjoyment of the game before patch 4.0.2 and after 4.0.2" Then have a box for "before" and one for "after", there accurate and quantifiable numbers to justify changes. Instead they use their nebulous "metrics" which is not based on what we, the costumers, feel is right in terms of completion times and what not but what they feel is right. The old saying the costumer is king exist for a reason guys...
  5. Add something similar to the item that removed the 12x Exp boost to the fleet vendor, have comps OP by default, buy the boost that brings comps to current nerfed state and stays until you use a new one to disable it = problem solved! Is what I would like to believe, but I'm sure many of those who like the nerf will whine that everyone is nor forced to play the way they like still...
  6. The war is between BW's "metrics" and players "reality", people who play this for a challenge support BW and those who do not are asking for a new, less drastic solution to the current nerfed state of the companions. That's an as unbiased way I can explain the current problem.
  7. A lot of people are bringing up LvL sync and I would like to point out that in GW2 (where they likely got the idea and used it to recycle old content and call it new) it works because the game was created with that in mind from the get go. In GW2 you don't need a companion to complement your play style since you're self sustained, with your own heal and access to survival skills. If LvL sync is to work properly in a game that was not designed for it, a few things will be needed: - Check the companion AI, regardless of the nerf they, too often, just sit there and look at you die, dps when they should heal, break stuns and so on, check the code something is broken there... If they are to be our life line in content we can no longer over LvL they should be an anchor, not the weakest link in the chain. - Have their stats be a portion of what a player at that lvl can reach in all blue armor/weapons, the current number is abysmal something anywhere from 75% to 90% of what a player could get seems like a decent idea. - Decrease the threat they generate while healing, increase it when tanking and leave it as is when DPSing, since making them smarter is likely too difficult this seems like a good compromise.
  8. Here you go!: http://dulfy.net/2015/11/17/gw2-plasma-weapon-skins-gallery/ Look under "plasma sword"
  9. I would give feedback, but the idea that I'm Beta testing the game while being a sub just irks me to no end. Too bad there isn't a test server where volunteers could, you know, test these sweeping changes *before* they went live. But sadly the test server are mostly "exploit previews" since most of the time the people donating their time to test stuff are not listened to and whatever bug/exploit is found usually go live anyway. Tell you what, next time you choose to change how the game plays, do it first on the test server and I'll gladly hop onto it if you promise you'll listen and do something depending on player feedback, that is if you have fixed this debacle before my sub runs out...
  10. The combat system is okay, it's not so much boring as too "static" IMO. I mean there is a reason they have strived to introduce more and more mobility, specially in being able to channel key skills while moving. The truth of the matter is that SWTOR is not a challenging MMO to begin with, not when it comes to lvling or solo content at least, the mobs are slow, dumb and the only way to make them tougher to kill was add more HPs and make them hit harder. Those saying the combat is boring are neither right nor wrong, it's a personal opinion and you can't be wrong about your opinion. Those who claim SWTOR's solo content was ever challenging thou? Yeah, that's straight up wrong... SWTOR was never like TERA or GW2, where combat is very dynamic thing, where skills can be dodged not by LOS but by either not being there or using your "dodge" roll every character has, or by using your channels that did not "root" you like in SWTOR. In those game a random BAM would one shot you if you did not see it or moved out in time, a group of lvl 10 mobs would destroy you because of the lvl sync and the fact they have disable skills and DOTs make them deadly even to a leveled capped player. All in all SWTOR's combat is not bad or boring per se, just a lot less interactive then what is currently offered in the MMO market.
  11. Because the harder content is the group content, it always was, the solo content shouldn't be. Eric said that H2+ meant = can be completed by a player and his companion, people are just holding BW to that.
  12. Oh? Please tell me about the heroic mode for the class story line and main planet quests? We liked faster completion to get to the story, the one thing this game has over every other MMO.
  13. The server have all lower then before the nerf populations, I think you have your answer right there... Also the nerf was made after the forum's minority whined about it, so why shouldn't the majority use the same tactic to get reversed?
  14. I have being playing since a few months before RoTHC, I have kept my subscription going ever since. Even when playing other MMOs, focusing on other games or just plain not playing video games, because I believed this game was going to get better. I had 8 level capped characters when KoTFE hit, 4 pubs and 4 imps, mirror advance classes (scoundrel/sniper for example) so I can experience all story lines and styles of game play. The "OP" companions and lvl sync got me to do something I never though possible, I created characters to simply replay the story line with new choices. Leveling was a breeze! It was no long boring fights I had to stop after each one to heal up in between cut scenes, it was swift murder followed by fun choices for my story. Now this nerf got me doing what I also thought impossible, I'm cancelling my sub... It was never about "needing" our "OP" companions because we needed to "L2P" or "Git Gud" it was about convenience and more importantly, it was about *fun*, the content they made easier was never challenging to begin with, this nerf made the fights longer and more tedious, in no way is it more challenging. I stayed when my whole guild left, I stayed when I could no longer buy my friend the expansion because it's subs only, this is the last straw, they nerfed *fun* to please the vocal minority... I'm out. not even angry, just sad. P.S. I originally posted this elsewhere but I see this thread has more posts and it would be better to consolidate comments.

  16. Not in KoTFE per se, but I did a Quizen conversation where he called Mako for help. She did not appear as a hologram for Quizen's holo call, she was *standing* on top of it, her the actual character, that was a hilarious visual bug.
  17. Have you heard of something called "Star Wars VII: The Force Awaken"?
  18. For example my Inquisitor I play DS, but if the LS choice is the one that most benefits the empire it's pic that one, even if's it's LS. That's how I created it, as a "lawful/evil" character, that loves death an mayhem but for the good of the empire. Nothing would be more boring then picking all LS or DS choices, because it ends up meaning your character is basically on rails and you're not really making any choices...
  19. ... People still care about LS and DS points? I thought it was common sense to pick *mostly* DS or LS points when building a DS or Ls character, because otherwise your character starts sounding/acting like Stupid/Good or Chaotic/Moron. I don't let the LS and DS point dictate my choices, it would overwrite my character's, well character... Hell most of my character I just pick what makes more sense, points be damned.
  20. Almost like trying to compete as a generic MMO was not a good idea for SWTOR.
  21. Many raids in Dungeon and Dragons Online are epic, bu the one where you face the Lord of Blades at end was superb! It's literally a God and when it 1st came out people would battle it on rotations to try and learn all the mechanics, heck the final boss ratting on normal was for the longest time higher then any other raid boss 2 difficulty levels higher.
  22. Actually SWTOR did learn, which is why it's building on it's strength: story telling. Which is the one aspect it has over every other MMO out there, making SWTOR more like generic MMOs is not going to help it any.
  23. How should I put this... Hopefully only after the KoTFE story is over and it'S time to kill the final bad guy in that. Because raids are not the main game, leveling is not the main game, PvP is not the main game, *story* is the main game.
