  1. The Emperor has being in the forefront of both expansions, in Makeb it's his "demise" that triggers the in fighting of the Sith to fill the void he left and Darth Marr is doing everything he can to safe the Empire from the brink, which is why the isotopes are so important. In SoR it all comes down to stopping the Emperor from becoming all powerful from the deaths Revan is causing. The force sensitive classes are all tied to the Emperor either by working for him directly, fightning him directly, having a seat on the council or having to deal whit his "children". Edit: Hell it's revealed at least some of the contested planets remain so pretty much solely so he can feed on the kills. We can easily say the whole war was a tool for him to gain infinite power.
  2. To me, if we get to actually kill the Emperor next week, then SWTOR is "over". The Empire get's a huge hit it can't ever get up from and it's all down hill for it until the Republic wins, the Sith are gone until Palpatine become the new Emperor. The way they have built up the Emperor to be this God like, close to immortal ultimate evil being it really feel like ending him would be a chapter ender. It may not be an actual end, but from the various story lines of the 8 classes, it would neatly tie them all up and whatever happens after is mostly inconsequential. It's a great "jumping off point" for anyone having doubts about continuing to play the game and a worrisome moment for those who play SWTOR for the story, after all how do you top killing the unkillable embodiment of evil?
  3. They removed the clickly in the patch.
  4. "On the House" since the patch has a really funny bug. Go pick up the keys, click the bike after, you actually get on it and the quest advances you to "pick up fuel for the bike"... Funny right? Wait, there's more! Collect a fuel cell, now you have the speed boost from the arrows, while on foot! Hah!
  5. I'm on a PvP server and I welcome the neutrality, why? Because Ziost is too small, has too many mobs and the Imps out number Pubs 3 to 1. Meaning it would devolve into gank fests where no one would be able to finish a quest, which is ludicrous on a planet that was released with the idea of it being a story centered planet. For those wanting to grief the under geared, gank in large number solo players or looking for an actual challenge look elsewhere. Also for all we know the next set of dailies are PvP flagged, kinda like Czerka with part of it neutral and other OWPvP. Either way, the planet was released as a conclusion to SOR, which is why it is easy, gives decent free gear and the story can't be derailed by constant griefing. Think about it, it would literally just take a lone stealth player to prevent dozen if not more from completing objectives by dropping an aoe in such close locations, stealthing away and repeat.
  6. Pretty much this, they removed the EU canon. But they can do what they want with it at the same time, to sum it up: it's all canon until a movie comes out and says it's not.
  7. Well we know Eric is here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=805691&page=5 My guess is that either the state of the servers is not as important as the pre-registration codes or he has simply being given zero info on this. I think the second option is the more likely, I sincerely think his job is "lightning rod of the players issues with the game" and he is given some info but not all of it. So they'll do what they did with the removal of F2P PvP restrictions, nothing and hope we forget or we'll be told of the changes a couple of weeks before it hits. So we may never be updated on this issue...
  8. Yeah, but "classic Jedi robes" don't exist though. Those are Tatooine desert robes, unless Uncle Owen, the desert people, Jawas and pretty much everyone in Tatooine as seeing in a New Hope is a jedi XD Truth is, it kinda evolved into jedi wearing robes by accident since the only known jedis in the original trilogy were Yoda and Obi-Wan. One was wearing robes because that's what you wore in the desert, the other was a hermit living it's last few years. Then in the prequels they made it canon because, well people had made the assumption and it was too late by then. Originally, since jedis where based on the knights of old ,they wore armor not desert folks robes.
  9. Several reasons: - It's fairly old, the engine, graphics and so on still hold but show their age. - WoW clone - Plenty of competition - Once the 8 story lines are done it looses a lot of it's shine - The F2P system is restrictive, type "worst F2P model" SWTOR dominates the search results...
  10. It will unequip and you'll lose access to all artifact gear untill you buy said permission.
  11. Okay 3 mistakes in your post here: you don't maintain bubble on everyone, or the HoT on none tank/melees, not unless you plan on being dry of force when you have to: burst heal the *tank* which is pretty much mandatory, also there is no such thing as a "healing rotation" we have a "healing priority list" and finally the other 2 classes have free heals without procs. The fact you seem to think sorcs don't have to burst heal makes me think you're never given the job of healing the MT or OT, because that's equal parts HoT and bursting.
  12. So your high and mighty "I ain't need no stinking Consumption so no one else should!" attitude comes from... Healing SM OPs?!
  13. I don't think you even read what I said, because that's not even close to what I said or all that I said.
  14. With the right numbers it could work. Increase the healing done and slightly increase force usage as to do the same amount of healing a triple Consumption with the 6 piece gear and no regen penalty stacks from passif in 3 minutes and we actually have a QoL change, in that we get to heal as much without keeping track of passives and using Consumption as often. Problem is, that sounds really boring! I don't know about other sorcs healers, but using Consumption, Unnatural Preservation and other self heals mid fight is what keeps healing on my sorc dynamic. It keeps thing interesting, when healing is going fine I put DoTs on bosses and love to over use force while doing so and gamble on being able to Consume my force back. The other problem is that unlike the other 2 healing classes we don't have a resource free heal, meaning that in a "Oh crap!" moment, like tank forgetting a defensive CD, other healer/s disconnecting or any of the multitude of problems that can arise a healer sorc may find himself going out of force with no way to get it back and no heals to give... This could result in sorcs being passed on in OPs, because if the Sith hits the fan they can be a liability as healers.
  15. take Star Wars, remove the aliens, tech and we get: A young farmer is faced with the task of liberating a princess when he buys a couple of slaves with an important message, he finds the person who it was destined to; and old wizard who mentors him and tell him his father was a famous knight. On his journey he meets a rogue and his enforcer, rescues the princess and learns his father was the black knight all along. He wins many battles and eventually is faced with the evil king himself who rules through dark sorcery, with the help of his father he redeems his family name and become a true knight and destroys the kings castle and bring peace to the kingdom.
  16. The new cross guard adds more possible combat maneuvers to the choreography, so even though it looks silly or is not completely effective for it's purpose in it's iteration I'm all for spicing up the light saber fights!
  17. Funny fact Joss Whedon's original script was not centered on the clone, was going to take place partially on Earth and with a different ending. Basically Joss got once more screwed over by FOX XD
  18. ... Is it wrong that I want a Taun Taun that goes "vroom vroom" and other car noises now? Like fake breaking screeching when it stops and things like that?
  19. Dude don't waste you time, the devs could delete all his characters, go to his home break his fingers with a hammer and the 1st thing he would do after leaving the hospital is log in to the forums and commend them on their accurate swings of the hammer while typing with his tongue
  20. Let's argue that they are right and population are sensibly the same, or even greater then 2 years ago. Since we know for a fact subscriptions have diminished we can safely assume most if not all of those new players are F2P with a small portion being Preferred players. This still means end-game has a diminished population, since F2P and Preferred do not have access to lvl 51-60 and content related. See it's possible for them to be right and absolutely wrong at the same time, they claim the population is better I counter with end-game not following that trend though.
  21. Okay I found a local collage: http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2013/179/a/6/star_wars__collage_1_by_eversotd-d6b5iy2.jpg A Star Wars one even! Can't seem to find where to sign though...
