  1. I think you mean barehanded fighting, scoundrel scrapper, fat Miraluka wearing nothing but purple pants and covert armor, spamming "seething with rage" between fights.

If that were true no one would ever buy boxes and everyone would have horribly mismatched armors with the higher rating, but instead people wear armor sets or pieces of armor that fit a particular look. Appearance is in fact a pretty big consideration in all mmos and rpgs in general, it says "this is *my* character, it is unique". No one wants to look like crap while saving/conquering the Universe...
  4. Not so much a new companion but more companion bonus material, like different sayings if the are romanced . I find it odd that in battle they still say the same stuff they did when they first joined your crew even though you two are *married*. When I first got to Taris I was really surprised that Thana wasn't a companion, she has so much potential. I really think there should be an option of killing a companion for good, like that one guy that betrays you, and have his role replaced by some other companion you meet in a cantina or something.
  5. I have 8 characters, 4 in each faction in mirror classes (juggernaut imp = sentinel pub and so on). I have to agree imps have better writing, the reason? Pubs setting is all wrong. The starting planets are the 1st time (and not the last time) we are shown "the dark side of the republic", we are introduced to: - soldiers having refugees, who they are supposed to protect, run through a mine field for food... - the Republic putting the war front above the needs of their people - stealing medicine back from refugees and letting them die. - a man building his own drugged up harem out of widows. - destroying a padawan's future as a Jedi because his master was such a d-bag he didn't make the test clear at all. - separating two lovers - betrayal of a famous military group because they were left for dead in a previous mission. and so on. Clearly the Republic is a better place to be in then the Empire... While questing on the imp side we face our lot of evil deeds, but no matter how bad they get (and they get pretty bad) those are "expected" of the evil empire out for universal conquest, which makes playing light side on the imp side very rewarding. A single quote from Alderaan says it all: "I have more light then you'll ever have *and* I love". Playing pubs light side with the background of duplicity and corruption of the Republic makes you look like a hypocrite and dark side like "one of them". In contrast, playing a light side imp is downright heroic and going dark side is "normal". In conclusion: if the good guys are just a little less evil then the bad guys storytelling for the good guys is gonna suffer in emotional resonance.
  6. Have old PvP armors available in legacy bound schematics from the PvP vendor with the corresponding valor needed to unlock and costing a moderate amount of credits and/or commendations. None PvP armor that is gone (not sure if it exist) should be available in an empty form for commendations in the appropriated lvl commendation vendor. These armor existed, it's not like we are asking them to make new armors and give them to us for free, just asking for a way to *earn* them.
  7. On that subject, I think you guys are talking of 2 different things: hybrid as in hybrid tree build and hybrid as in able to fill more then a single role. Granted, the argument can be made that without tree specification you cant really fulfill more then a role, but the opposite argument that you still have the none tree skills available is also true, no matter how effective...

I love my Sorc healer in FPs and OPs, but when I do dailies or play the new role-less FPs I build a hybrid: 23/7/16 I have Innervate for burst healing with a nice Resurgence and the vital Fadeout for PvP, Efficacious Currents and Lightning Barrier for a decent bubble and Wrath, Sith Efficiency and Death Field for dps. I also use that build for PvP, is my dps lowish? Sure, is my healing lower then a full heal specs? Yes, but the build is fun as Hell to play and that's all that matters. I don't think Sorcs need more dps, we already have plenty of versatility and survivability to make up for less then max dps. Sorcs/sages have: powerful heals (a self one that requires no force), mobility (force speed), damage mitigation (bubble), nice none situational dps (no need to stand behind someone or come out of cloak) and some unique tools like Extrication and that one skill that makes them *invulnerable* Force Barrier. Would I like to also be top dps? Of course, who wouldn't but then why would anyone play anything or accept anything other then Sorcs into FPs and Ops?
  9. I have the "Marked for death in seven systems" title, the thing is I can't find which Bounty I have yet to capture to get "Wanted: dead or alive". I check my legacy using "Y" but under events I only see the last 5 achievements.
  10. I was playing between 5 and 10 pm during the week and 1 to 4 pm the weekend, my 4 lvls 33 pubs never found a single group, same with my lvl 39 imp. I posted lfms with: "lfg *insert kingpin* more or less lvl 30", never got a hit, it always ended up with a lvl 55 passing by helping me.

  12. I have 61k worth of reputation exp banked, so I guess I completed it. The event is great, but needs fixes here and there. The good: fast, good exp, decent credits, contested planets don't have all their bounties in a contested area (thank God), fun little letters from the kingpins. The bad: difficulty and group finding... Are you lvl 55 and got 156+ gear? Great! You'll be able to solo Kingpins or find a group with other lvl 55s, if not well you're out of luck. I have 8 characters, 4 on each faction, 5 of those (the none 55s) completed their kingpin bounties solely because lvl 55s where there and willing to help (Hell had a 55 of the opposite faction kill one for me once, keep in mind I'm on a PvP server). The kingpins are too powerful and it's next to impossible to find a group at your lvl to take them out, with at lvl gear on my characters and their healer companion, heroic moment, unity and legacy abilities the best I could do was get the kingpin to around 30%. It's also good to point out that over time there will be *less* people doing this as they get all achievements and reputation, meaning you wont even be able to count on the kindness of high lvl strangers. Also the fact I can't check my whole list of achievements means I have no idea which bounty I haven't captured to get that last achievement...
  13. I PUG only, what I asked for was a way to avoid arenas if I don't want to play them. With the new system if I queue for PvP I have just as much chance at joinning the old PvP WZs as I do arenas. MIndless PvP sounds like fun once in a while but I prefer the goal oriented WZs, I want more options then "queue, hope it's something I like and leave if it's not". It's not fun for me, and not fun for the group I leave shortmanned either...
  14. Keep in mind that if all 3 are dps you'll never get an arena either.
  15. My guess is that a team of 3 smasher guardian/juggernaut and an Ops/Scoundrel healer will be optimal, high burst aoe dps with heals able to escape from combat if getting focused too hard.
  16. ^ This, a thousand times this! I enjoy playing goal oriented WZs, because it means my characters no matter how bad in 1v1 have a use. Sure straight PvP sounds fun too, but an option between "classic WZs" (no arenas) and "new WZs"(with arenas) would be a nice queue option to have.

  18. That's odd I tried changing instance, the fawns didn't reset.
  19. I agree, there are so few nests that they are camped by both factions and since the reset for the fawns is so long you'll run into an enemy faction group that will kill you if you wait. So you have 2 choices, stay and hope no other faction group kills you while you wait for the re-spawn or travel to another nest hoping that it's not camped by enemies. It wouldn't be so bad if the success on luring was more along the lines of 50% and not 10%...

I admit it was an assumption on my part though, so the lying part was exaggerated.

Pretty much this, I expected a "run Foundry/Prison on hard mode to find a few surprises" or "expect new missions in the Revanite series and a new chain of quests in Coruscant for one day only". at the very least since they *did* say a couple of in-game items one extra thing other then the tittle so I wouldn't feel like they lied to me...
  22. Soooo, when is the celebration starting? I mean the crappy title and CC's event people with jobs (read most subscribers) couldn't attend can't be *it* for a 10 year celebration of the game that pretty much made SWTOR possible. Seriously, had they done nothing I would be less insulted, but they took the 5 extra minutes to spit in our faces, that's just, I can even put it into words...
  23. ... A miningless title, that's it?! I would have added an extra quest for the revanites series that rewarded a mini HK pet or something like that (with the same 24 hours time frame), but a CC buyable title? Meh.
