  1. *Snip* I wonder, though, just how many people, like me, didn't bother to go to the forums to complain and just cancelled their sub and moved on. Would be interesting to see the numbers, though it would be next to impossible to find out. I would never want for another mmo to fail (unless it was an SOE one) and wish them the best for the future.
  2. I'm quite partial to : http://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153125&cm_re=razer_naga-_-26-153-125-_-Product Never had a problem with it and the button config is pretty easy to learn. Would never use anything but this for gaming.
  3. Yeah I saw your posts on Dulfy. I popped the reply that I'd gotten 1 weapon (a double bladed sabre) out of 3 hypercrates. The junk filler on these packs seems to be upped.
  4. If I worked for EA and saw the perceived desire for the Bantha mount I would make the chance to get it so minutely small to be a super super super rare to then maximize the sale of more packs. Make the desirable item drop rate an absolutely minute chance + more rubbish filler per pack = more packs sold = more profit. Annoying yes, but they are out to make money so I don't blame them. I would expect the upcoming Rancor mount to also be ridiculously hard to get.
  5. Yeah, I thought he pretty much nailed it with that comic strip. I don't think anyone I currently play with online would ever touch another SOE game again.
  6. Some people think the entire world revolves around them both in game and real life. They see you as merely a tool to use to get what they want. No please, no thank you, just drop what you're doing and appease my needs right now and if you don't then your an *expletive deleted*. I ignore all blind invites, I ignore any requests for obvious power levelling help, I ignore all requests for gear, weapons, cash, as I have learnt my lesson a long time ago that there is never any pleasing those people nor will they ever be grateful for your help.
  7. I had pre-ordered when the game first came out and I found it to be complete rubbish. I lasted maybe 2 months then uninstalled. 3 days ago I decided to give it another go and popped it back onto the pc. After about 5 hours playtime I promptly went out and bought the Collector's Edition of RoS. Like another poster said, if they'd launched with these changes in place the community would be much bigger imho. I'm very glad I tried it again and a few of my friends are also re-installing the game to try it out based on my recommendation. Very very impressed.
  8. I have no idea what they are on about either. Maybe a bit of sword in box.
  9. A Bantha!!!! Oh dear, so much in this pack that I want, time to start saving! Have some wads of cash!!!!
  10. Oh i'm quite sure it won't be anywhere near the freeform housing that SWG was, but I have always enjoyed housing in the mmo's i've played that have them, ie: SWG, EQ2, Lotro, Rift, and to a lesser extent CO and STO.
  11. I loved my houses from SWG and am looking forward to seeing how they go about housing in SWTOR.
  12. I would pay pretty much the same. The last lot of cm packs I stayed away from, but if they pop a decent looking rancor mount in an upcoming pack series, I will absolutely blow money, and a lot, to get one.
  13. I used to help people but these days I very very rarely do it. This is because of a number of reasons. I used to make full sets of armour for people in games like LOTRO that were starting out or could use a gear upgrade to enable them to be more self sufficient whilst questing (low to high level gear). I stopped doing that when I was then expected to make them for free whatever they wanted and it better be top end stuff or i'm a cheap (expletive deleted). I used to help people with crafting by giving them stacks of free mats, and again I stopped when I was expected to give more freebies in increasing volume and rarity and got abused in game for stopping their supply. I stopped helping people on quests because more and more it seemed they would put themselves on /follow and expect you to auto level them whilst they were alt tabbed out surfing the net or doing anything but playing the game. I also copped abuse for leaving the group and not carrying them through expected hours of questing. I tend to find people used to say thank you for your help / gifts years ago, but the last couple of years I rarely ever got thanked, almost to the point that I imagined THEY were doing ME the favour by being lucky enough to go out of my way to help their royal highness. Now It is very rare for me to help to the point that 99% of the time I ignore them.
  14. Since your being snarky i'll elaborate. I actually agree with a lot you've said on this thread so far. At least one of the people named as being "famous" I have on ignore and consider them one of the most offensive posters i've ever seen on a gaming forum. All I was trying to say is perhaps it's sometimes best to just walk away from a thread when you have zero chance of trying to get the majority to see your point of view because of their perceived bias. Now i'll take my own advice and bow out.
  15. I know where you are coming from, but sometimes it's best to not say a word and just walk away from the thread. People seem to be having fun and I wouldn't want to bring that mood down even if I didn't agree with the threads context. Stress free threads are few and far between it seems in GD and I am glad to see people letting their hair down and having a good time.
  16. For Forum Legend the only name I would submit would be Iwipe - Dulfy. I have been a huge fan of hers for her work both here in SWTOR and GW2.
  17. If there is one thing this game has taught me, it is to tag / open / click on any quest item / mob asap before some ****** waltzes in and tag it themselves. I am always happy to accept an invite to do a group clear of a target mob so we both get the quest done. I am also always happy to watch someone who has stealthed ahead or rushed past me die when they've taken on more than they can handle. I'll put my companion on passive and watch the show, even if you try to drag the mob back to me to help you. The enjoyment I get watching them die far exceeds the in game reward i'd get for tagging the mob first.
  18. Thank you for the updates Look forward to getting my SW fix soon!
  19. Yup. Ah well, even with it's ups and downs SWTOR is still my mmo of choice. I'm still happy to pay for 2 accounts and pump money into the cartel market each fortnight.
  20. /shrug Everyone has a different sense of humour. A lot of people like Sir Copperfield's posts but I haven't found a single one of them funny since they started. Or the "I'm leaving this game!!!!!..........to go to the shops for a pie / bacon / caramelized jawa-on-a-stick". Some find them funny, I don't. But I have no right to tell them to stop it, especially if someone gets a chuckle out of it.
  21. As a CE owner when I see "regularly updated with brand new content" I tend to think "yeah, right". I like GSF but like a few that have posted here I will wait until it is all live before I get my hopes up. If they live up to their promises and deliver then I will be posting a big "thank you!".
  22. Have to give my kudos to Bioware for this, it looked pretty awesome to me. Even though it's a short cinematic I certainly appreciated it. Thank you!
  23. I agree an in game event to commemorate the 2nd anniversary could have a lot of potential for fun for the community. A lot of other mmo's have them and I have always enjoyed myself during those events. Just be careful how you word that though. Saying you "want" something around here quite often gets you slapped with the "self entitled" label by the local forum police / thread derailers.
