  1. Code received! Thank you very much for looking into this for those of us that didn't receive the email first time around.
  2. No email yet. swtor@email.swtor.com added to safe list. CS ticket created on the 20th still unanswered. Hoping the email comes in soon.
  3. No email received here either. The last email I got was my CC monthly on the 16th. I have kept all emails / spam since the emails were supposedly all sent out and have not received it. I have had the email box ticked since account creation.
  4. Any available Cartel Market Pack item from the CM's inception or only certain packs? Will it contain items that can also be bought direct from the CM store? With such an extremely massive pool of filler what is my incentive to even bother with the Grand Chance Cube if the odds are so obviously stacked against me for anything even remotely decent / valuable to drop? "No longer building new bronze items." Does that mean that the bronze items from previous shipments now get diluted into the silver / gold pool? "can contain the rarest of Cartel Market selections" Seriously, with how you guys stack the rng and the humungous pool of, frankly, crap (socorro and cybernetic armour) the chance of getting anything even remotely "rare" is almost laughable. I just don't understand you guys at all. I realise you are the middle man in all this, but are you honestly trying to go out of your way to piss off the people who regularly buy stuff from the CM? How do you find these changes even remotely benefit the player base at all? Whoever keeps making up these rubbish ideas, please tell them to stop. Just stop.
  5. So the reason they gave you for back flipping on "permanent additions to the cartel market" was basically "Purple Monkey Dishwasher"? Or possibly by the time the excuse filtered down to you from above you could have sworn that it was indeed "Purple Monkey Dishwasher". Thank you for clearing up any confusion I had on the issue.
  6. When I saw subscriber rewards I thought it might be what it ended up being just that, subscriber rewards. Were they exciting to me? Meh, kind of but not really, but i'm sure others were tickled pink. What I'd like to see them do, what many mmo's do, is a VETERAN reward scheme. A system that rewards your loyalty based on how long you've been a subscriber. It's a great system that, I think, creates a positive vibe between the player base and the company involved. You feel appreciated with the rewards earned, and they are able to let their player base know they appreciate your loyalty to their game. Unfortunately I think that sort of thing is completely alien to the suits at EA. The Devs at Bioware may appreciate us, but the decision makers, the corporate moneymakers, couldn't give two diddly half arsed reach arounds.
  7. I think it's part of their ongoing CM tweaking process. To find that balance between offering you as little as they possibly can whilst still getting people to pay the same price. Unfortunately they were quite blatant about it this time so the fact they have asked for our opinions on the matter means someone's made a rather large miscalculation on their part.
  8. I've stopped buying them after opening the Underworld Alliance hypercrates. I still think they are poor value and am quite happy to grind dailies / weeklies and buy the items I want for credits off the GTN, rather than the 2-4 hypercrates I would buy per shipment. Saves me a good chunk of real life money I can now spend elsewhere.
  9. I got 3 in the hypercrates I bought for it but have not bothered to use it after it was deemed "working as intended" then nerfed into the ground.
  10. The droid companion and two animal mounts look nice, but if it is still the same price for one item + companion gift of the first packs i'll give it a miss and just buy direct from the gtn. Armour looks kinda meh imho, but some of the decorations look pretty nifty. Cheers for the preview!
  11. OwenBrooks has helped me in the past so I highly recommend any advice he gives with technical issues. He is a saint on these forums
  12. Congratulations on your new job! I hope it works out for you and you enjoy it. Though i'm very comfortable where I am now I can certainly empathize with you on knowing the value of CC's. I can remember some rough times when I was young and queuing up for free bread from a local ecumenical pantry just for something to eat for the week when times were tough. (Not trying to out do you there, just saying I can certainly relate) I've also been buying packs and crates since they launched, with pretty mixed results. I have to say in the whole time i've been doing them, the last sale on every pack released was my best. I bought 7 packs one day and got Tulak Hord's Helmet, Chestplate and Xoxaan's Chestplate as well in just those. Normally my luck is quite shocking lol. With just my experience of playing KOTFE, and the ridiculous amount of companion gifts I get from general questing and rewards, the one item and companion gift seems pretty light on value. I did get an Akk Dog pet , a Womp Rat mount and the new Jukebox which I was very pleased with in the 3 hypercrates I bought, but, to me, the 2 items per pack is kind of meh. Time will tell on what they do with the feedback, both the pro's and cons, so it will be interesting to see. Thanks for the reply and all the best in your new job. As for the referral link in a sig, as I said i'm very comfortable where I am now so am happy to leave it out.
  13. This is honestly just out of my own curiosity and not an attack or anything. With the amount of referrals you get per month (I remember you once saying it was quite a bit) and the CC that comes with it, what do you need to spend from your own pocket for 3 hypercrates per month? I hope it is not an inappropriate question, the only reason I ask is if you get quite a lot of free CC that offsets a monetary cost, then you may be spending far less than those of us that just get a sub and security key allotment, thus feel that you get quite a bit of bang for your buck.
  14. I bought 3 hypercrates, 1 super pack and about 8 single packs. I got 4 golds in total, with one hypercrate containing no golds, 5 silvers and the rest bronze filler. I saw no pieces from the Zildrog or Sith Recluse set. I'm glad the xp tokens are gone. Bar the 1 hour and 3 hour tokens I would automatically delete any of the others (social, warzone etc) as I saw no value nor resale value in them at all. 1 item plus companion gift. The packs are way way too overpriced to just contain 1 item and a companion gift. I get that rng is rng, but I'm not going to buy anymore hypercrates at these prices with far far less chance to get anything I want / not useless ugly filler. I am more likely to continue buying hypercrates if I feel each hypercrate I open at least had something that to me made it worth it. No it doesn't need to rain golds, but opening an entire hypercrate, at those prices, with the greatly reduced quantity of items, with only your word that drops have been increased, and getting 5 silvers and 25 bronzes does not leave me feeling justified in the purchase. Maybe a guarantee of at least one random gold per hypercrate might help. At the end of the day I feel we are being charged the same price for way less bang for our buck. Once again I know the tired old mantra of "rng is rng" but when I open a hypercrate and get complete filler rubbish only and think to myself "what a complete waste of money that was", I don't have customer satisfaction, nor do I feel tempted to gamble on any more packs.
  15. Ahhh right, gotcha. If they are truly advocating for purely story only content without any content for raiders, pvpers and those that do fps in the future, then yes I agree with you, this game is, imho, not for them. That is a very narrow minded view.
  16. So let me get this straight. You're agreeing with a post that you think makes fun of people who believe that raiders and pvpers should never get any more content or developer attention. Then you go on to say that not only are those people idiots, but they should leave the game and play something else because there should never be any more story content. Sorry, you can have story but only if it is for raiders and pvpers, absolutely none for people who, let me take a wild stab in the dark here, solo. Heaven forbid they want to do solo story content when their friends are offline. Is that it essentially? You don't see anything even a little bit hypocritical in that? Just me then? *And just for the record here I think they should release meaningful, rewarding, challenging content for players of all play styles, not just the "MMO = raid or pvp because I say so and reasons" people.
  17. If i'm reading Tait's post correctly with only 2 items per pack we will be getting less bang for our buck. Instead of a possible combination of a mount + armour / weapon / decoration and such plus the rubbish, we now get 1 item plus a companion gift. That's not more bang for my buck in my opinion, but an ever greater chance to get complete rubbish per hypercrate. Happy to wait and see when it does go live ( and to be corrected on how I am interpreting the post ), but i'm not seeing any real benefit to those that purchase the packs / crates.
  18. Myself and five of my friends all re-subbed to take advantage of the story xp promotion. We are here for the story and smaller group content, possibly looking at getting into raiding down the line. So far we are enjoying the game, though the bonus story xp seems a tad antisocial whilst levelling. I can understand how some people can be upset at the lack of announced group content coming up in the new expansion, especially those who seem to have made it their mission on the forums to actively attack and derail any threads calling for more solo / story driven content. This announcement must be a huge blow for both the narcissistics and egocentrics among you. Hopefully they can and will cater to all styles of game play. I still have a dream of massive open world pvp, but I doubt that will ever happen. We are adopting a wait and see attitude, and if we enjoy the upcoming content we'll stay subbed, if not we'll deal with that situation when it arises.
  19. I'm not touching that comment with a ten foot pole.
