  1. Most things looks awkward on the T-1 female but that does look pretty big. It's probably that huge so it fits over the already present backbacks on BH sets.
  2. This is actually one of the least offensive shoulder pads I've seen in this game. So there's that.
  3. Really, they could do it without a major overhaul. Just make blaster powers use knife animations when a knife is in mainhand. Still a good deal of work but it could be done without actually changing the class's balance at all. I mean, scrapper uses a shotgun instead of a knife, but performs the same. A similar principle would apply to making this an option. Would need new anims and maybe some extra "if dual wielding..." Bits in the descriptions. Long range attacks would be knife throws. I hate that we have to qualify wishes with "I know it probably will never happen" to keep the wolves at bay but you can take that as said here.
  4. I would still like an explanation for why if they are so supportive, it wasn't included in vanilla. I've read a very dubious rumor that the order came down from lucasarts and basically the Disney acquisition has dissolved the ban on it. But really without a better explanation, it makes as much sense as anything.
  5. I just wish skirting/flaps/loinclothes were a separate peice. C'est la vie.
  6. Someone in gen chat was going on about how group xp bonus only worked for recurring subs, not time card subs. Is this legit?
  7. Hey, that guy that asked for 10 bucks to make potato salad got something like 50k. You might get a ticket.
  8. Yay, the thread has devolved into a flame thread about homophobia. ****in hell. I was mostly talking to people who have a vested interest in SGR. If you don't, then obviously any SGRs are of dubious value and risk becoming annoying, the same way the plethora of OGR in vanilla start to grate if one lets them. Expacks and DLC are notorious in my experience for taking things that should happen slowly and cramming them into a short timeframe because devs think bigger than their budget or just want to tick things off their list, regardless whether they're done well. Please take your flame war to pm (yeah right )
  9. This isn't a bad idea. Do this Bioware. Let us SGR at least a couple comps in future expacks.
  10. Have I not said I know it won't happen? Pretty sure I've said that. Yet y'all repeatedly feel the need to say it will never happen, like I don't know. But yeah, that's the compromise they made because they don't want to bother editing vanilla content, they have to railroad you to it in these short expacks. C'est la vie.
  11. Uh...most just want the bloody option, like you get with every straight character in the game almost. The option. If that feels like preference, then it's only because you sit on top of the target demo and have no concept what it's like to have zero representation in most games. To be treated like some alien thing. Seriously, this game has over 40 companions in vanilla, and not a single one is bi or gay. Then we get 2 or 3 in the expacks and suddenly it's TOO MUCH. Whatever. I wholly endorse a gay/straight/bi toggle either in preferences or chargen (another thing that will never happen...they'll dump gay romances completely before they bother with that).
  12. I have this feeling that some people think every single thing in games is hardcoded, but that's just not how it's done. They build proprietary tools for themselves, then use those to manage things like dialogue. Yes, it could introduce bugs but the means to do it are likely there already and wouldn't present a big difficulty. Editing dialogue is not remotely the same as altering gender. Editing dialogue is changing an instant or series of instants in the game that generate some other data points. Changing gender is altering a large convergence of data points, basically ripping out the center of a bike tire. The first is possible with some care. Edit: Also, just because something could generate bugs isn't a reason not to do it. If it were...bioware would never do anything to the game ever ever ever.
  13. I think when Togruta drops, people would be happy to reroll and try out the new species and new romance options. But sure, some would want it reset and they can just say, deal with it. People roll alts all the time, and that's where old players could experience it. And the game has constant new players who won't have that problem.
  14. Second-instance-itus? There are plenty of people playing. Maybe you should check what instance you're on.
  15. For some comps, sure, but many have mostly gender neutral dialogue. Some could be switched with the flip of a bit of code. Some, yes, would either require re-recording or creative editing, but it can be done for many without calling the VAs back into the studio.
  16. That sounds empowering to the player. Cash shop no likey empowered players.
  17. I could wager a guess as to why people don't notice it in vanilla but I'll just imply it and leave it at that.
  18. I wouldn't begrudge a hyperspace cutscene in the place of loading screens...since planet switching is the main source of them. But I also don't mind the tips and concept paintings. And like I said, I got distractions so the load screens aren't really an issue for me. Honestly I find the whole premise of this thread to be misguided. Who cares about loading screens? You gotta pee sometime.
  19. I'm not ignoring it. There's a cost benefit thing. Being overtly gay friendly has PR bonuses among swaths of young people, both gay and allied, a fact that other parts of Bioware are banking on (DAI?). EA has been a public sponsor at gay pride events. Making such a change to several of the companions could garner positive press (free publicity) and be seen as consistent meaningful support. Also, it likely isn't as much coding as you'd think. They don't code every conversation. They, no doubt, have a toolkit they've made that allows them to implement convos and animations without having to dig into the code manually. Editing the conversations would just take some planning and a bit of time. Do I see it happening? Not really. I don't expect anything I want to happen because I'm not begging for new ops or expacks. I'm asking for an update to vanilla content which they haven't shown much interest in doing, be it bug fixes or whatever. Vanilla is pretty set in stone (no matter how borked some of it is) because they want to be seen adding new content (looks better to shareholders and guarantees press on relevant sites), not tweaking/fixing old stuff.
  20. I still don't get it. The option to be a flippant *** is always there but I don't feel pressured to play my light side Jedi that way. The option to be a goody-two-shoes is always there yet I manage to reach dark V on my sin without feeling pressured to be nice. What about the flirt option creates this pressure that other options don't?
  21. That sounds pretty consistent with the vanilla opposite gender companions. Most interactions have a flirt option.
  22. I honestly dont understand. How is having the option to flirt, overdoing it? I'm constantly given the option to flirt with opposite gender companions. I just don't do it. Unless I'm manipulating the affection mechanic ;P
