  1. The original Class stories crafted around different approaches to your character (everyone's not commander shepard like KotFE/ET) The social aspect/guild stuff. The classes themselves, class visuals / animations / VA. Crafting a SW character. I don't RP but I do put some thought into who my characters are. Ex. BH is an ex-LEO. So she's a bit renegade but still pretty lightside, disgusted by and intolerant of the more powerful criminal elements and wanton cruelty she has to deal with from the empire. Star Wars (a major reason I play an mmo at all...if there were a star wars soulsborne-style game I might be gone) I enjoy conquest, competing with guildies and such. Raiding when it's led well is a high point. When raid leaders can't communicate clearly, not so much fun. FPs when they are not ridiculous *cough*Blood Hunt veteran - knockback into lava*cough* but I can filter undesirables so meh Events and other Reputation acquisition missions are fun. I like building rep for collecting all the good dye recipes and such so I can provide them for guildies when needed. This past week I really enjoyed dive-bombing groups on the fleet and exploding in a green cloud of infection. The best perk of owning the collector's edition so far. The broad array of armor designs. Some of them are not to my taste but many parts and pieces work well together. It's a lot of fun to craft unique outifts. The sex appeal. Not the people running around in bra and panties (though I don't really have a problem with them) but the options to get a bit sexier looking than star wars usually is outside of ROTJ first act. Having piles of Alacrity. My mara looks like she's on meth when she fights and that's a lot of fun. Strongholds but (TANGENT) I feel like it's limited since virtually no one gets to see them. The guild has one and that's the one we use for anything social. I've been in 2 other people's SHs in the entire time I've played. Seems like a missed opportunity but I'm not sure what the solution is. I know you can visit almost any SH you want from the SH terminals, but I've only tried that once or twice, no real point walking around a strange SH. I also rarely leave the first room of any of mine since I put my holds and vendors all near the spawn point. I dunno. I like em, but I don't really feel like there's a great way to utilize them. Maybe if you could raid them somehow...fight battles in them, get invaded or infested and have to defend and maybe even in the bigger ones get infested by a WB level opponent that requires a group to take down, have an event around them, something to utilize them beyond just being where I sell and store my stuff. The way they are now, most of mine could be one room and I would barely notice a difference.
  2. Right now, changing to an alt completely resets all the blue/purple objectives. This seeeeeeeems to indicate they are supposed to be once per day per char. However, I have no idea! The explanation that they are once per day per legacy seems not to match the reality at all.
  3. Actually, they can copy a loot table that already scales to different players and classes then tweak the content. I know you can do stuff like that in other game dev software, no reason they shouldn't have something as robust.
  4. Fun and Rewarding are the watch words of gaming. RN a lot of older content is fun...but not very rewarding. I have a seeker droid mission that's threatening to reward me with a level 50 belt. Uh, no. I can kill one champion and outdo that reward and xp.
  5. Did the WB objectives for Conquest and got a +7 endurance lightsaber crystal. Guh!? 7 years ago that might have been nice, but these day it just tells me there's no reason to hunt WB unless it's a conquest objective. Give them something nice, I don't care. Command XP boosts, gold gifts, purple crates, unassembled parts, purple mats, or semi-decent looking shells. But something better than obselete leveled loot from 7 years ago.
  6. Is there a thread about how broken the blue/purple repeatables are this week?
  7. Something about Alts annoy the crap out of the devs. They constantly make changes that show they find all the things that alts can help you achieve to be troublesome. I think something about the limited character slots F2P players have, means they design the game with maybe two characters in mind and people who have been playing for years can have 15 to 30 active characters, which screws all their calculations up when implementing anything new system-wise. So they just gimp alts in the system, ignoring the fact that their monthly paying customers pay partly to have more alts.
  8. But what about the subtle psychological reward of taking advantage of an exploit? "Haha, it says weekly but I do it daily! I'm such a rebel!"
  9. Okay, your initial posts made it sound like you had an OCD need to do them. I would be fine with them being weekly simply because I have 5 alts and could do the ones I like each day on one of them. There is certainly an argument that could be made that making them daily means there are chinese guys who do it for a living running 20 alts through all of them every day so they can sell gold for cash.
  10. You don't have to do them all. Why would the fact they're reset daily mean you somehow have to do them all?
  11. I think if the point rewards per activity don't improve then interest will wane further and further, simply because it's not as rewarding to cap CQ goals, goal to goal, per toon, or guild wide. And game players play to have fun and be rewarded.
  12. We checked the numbers, a third of our points (in our case about 220-300k) came from the bug. I assume every guild's point totals were similarly affected and some who met the minimum on the small planet would not have without those free world boss points.
  13. I capped one toon but I was logged in on an alt when the bugged points came through, so I have one toon capped and one toon with like, 6k. I had 400k the week before on my legacy. This week, 27k.
  14. We saw a similar phenomenon. Our CQ leader usually blows it out of the water with like 4-600k points on their Legacy. This week I think he barely hit 50k. And he's the guy willing to do the rampage 250 enemies a planet goals every day, which I don't think most people cap those more than once or twice a week. Fun and rewarding, last week was not.
  15. I know I did. Our higher ups organized far fewer group runs of anything. The verve to grind the one FP available was gone. And my GM stated Thurs that we would be shifting focus away from CQ in the future. I'm just curious if everyone saw similar things happen in their guilds or did most guilds just roll with the punches. I'd really like to hear from anyone in a guild what they saw this past week. Thanks.
  16. /SIGNED Late at night , walking around fleet is like listening to a bunch of ERP foreplay.
  17. Am I confused? I thought there were supposed to be more planet options in the new system. But it seems there are not as many as before?
  18. Wow, this sounds like a reasonable response to the criticism. I'm hoping some of these simple changes will be immediate or within a week like changing point targets and adding more infinitely repeatables. Y'all gotta make this fun again and right now it is not.
  19. It's funny how you can read that and come up with a very positive view of the upcoming changes. A lot was left out, held behind the back while only facets of it were shown. "Look how pretty these changes are!" Meanwhile gross stuff is hidden just out of sight. Why make it gross at all? Make it FUN! It's a game. Old conquest had a lot of participation because, even with some obtuse interface aspects, it was fun. That's the sad part here. Something we were having fun with just last week, is totally not fun anymore. Your job as game designers is to find the fun. That's what game design is. Playing with systems and teasing out fun experiences. You killed the fun this time. That's a failure. You need to undo that failure and figure out how it happened.
  20. Just look at where most of the guilds ended up. The rewards are too similar, so most people are doing the low tier. The point gain is so small for everything that most guilds didn't risk not reaching the mid and high tier goals. My GM is cracking the whip for us to repeat one damn FP over and over because we're not an ops guild and nothing else is realistically repeatable. Alts are dead. I enjoy switching to my alts and reaching the weekly for them. It's fun. Excluding alts is excluding fun. I actually ****ed up and got points on an alt on a non-repeatable so I have 6k conquest points sitting on an alt I won't be able to get to the minimum. Awesome. This is a colossally unfun patch that you guys have cooked up. It makes conquests tedious and stressful. Not fun. I think all y'all were doing was looking at numbers and not thinking how this will feel to play. From the front line, it feels crappy.
  21. Things I crafted on the regular have now become impossible for certain toons (my mid level armstech can't craft any of the war supplies anymore, thank you). Recipes I painstakingly collected the mats for... I no longer have the mats for and must re-painstakingly collect the mats for (DARK PROJECT). I get, you didn't want people blowing out the crafting system crafting every item they could before they all became harder to craft, but this is still crappy. It's a crappy thing to do. It's a crappy thing to login and find has been done.
