  1. Pretty sure costume designer means you'll pay credits or coins to assign something from your collections to a peice of armor. This way they can monetize the appearance tab. If its more in depth than an xmog system ill eat my shoe.
  2. I see you got a load of garbage there. Maybe you should take it the dump instead of showing it to people like you're proud of it.
  3. I actually think it's essential that people post how they want so devs can get a feel for how many people FEEL like it NEEDS a new thread. It's a barometer for how incensed people are. So post how you wanna.
  4. I've noticed fewer low level crafted things on the GTN as well. My guess is the post expansion rush and the christmas break ending and the mat glut from the slots falling off are all contributing. It's fine for me since the people selling for 2% profit have faded away (2% isn't worth anybody's time). Now it's just me and the guy selling for 10,000% cost. He makes me look good.
  5. I tmakes me sad when I see people apologizing for enjoying cosmetic character building or environment building/decorating. These are rich activities full of imagination and inspiration but so often "serious gamers" scoff and dismiss them until those that enjoy them have to apologize for it. Which is a load of crap tbh, as if the "serious gamers" would be just as happy playing as grey spheres as long as the ops were challenging. I play for my alts because I do enjoy dressing them up, designing outfits by mixing elements and dyes and developing a sense of character for them. I enjoy Bioware in general for their writing. I love Star Wars. I like cyberpunk. I like crafting and selling to other players.
  6. It's a bit of a mistake to project your attitude onto every other player. I too really like this game. If I had more free time I'd spend more of it playing this game. Even feeling ripped off and ignored, I still like the game itself. But Bioware knows they ****ed up and they are not laughing about it. This creates major negative buzz, and it knows a number of players will rage quit over this, even if they don't make a big post on the forums about it. In fact, for every forum post about leaving over an issue, I'd guess there's a number who just left in silence. Considering the massive number of posts about this, I'd guess a number of people have quietly quit or moved to preferred. Bioware ain't laughing.
  7. Do all dailies and weeklies as often as possible. This includes pvp, gsf, and space missions. They all take a relatively short amount of time and give good xp.
  8. Wow, that was very rude. My point was that your post was a rant, not a suggestion. Rants about butthurt tend to go in GD, not suggestions. But thanks for reminding me how awful people are. I hadn't had a reminder today.
  9. You're probably looking for general discussion. This here is the suggestions forum.
  10. Still not getting it. You just want us to shut up. I get that. This isn't your pet issue. But you're being obtuse. Not an insult...just an observation.
  11. It's amazing how many people don't get it. And it's clear by your argument that you either don't get it, or just refuse to. And you're in good company. I've seen this and many other not-getting-it arguments over and over from many different people. It's not about what we saw coming. It's about how it was handled. It's about the real money involved. It's about the lies, either intentional or (more likely) not intentional/poor communication. It's about the fact that no matter how it turns out they made bank off of it before they nuked it by leaving it as is and promoting it as "working as intended" through the sweetest spot of a new pack's release life. And it's about silence. They could shut up all these threads by actually responding (not at some remote cantina tour stop that a fraction of fans see or hear about).
  12. Nah, it's like being told that it's a porsche, but maybe it drives too fast, buying it, then the dealer comes by and tears out the engine and fills it full of gerbils.
  13. My, and I think many others, main issue is not the materials. It's not even that the machines were changed. It's the whole sequence of events, the assurance that it was in fact working as intended, the fact that it could cost hundreds of dollars to get one, and then the nuclear nerf. I don't miss the mats. I just feel cheated and ripped off. Allow me to rebut myself... "You didn't have to pay real money for it so argument invalid." "You didn't buy it, you bought a chance to win it so your argument is invalid." "It had to be nerfed for the good of the economy so your feelings and argument are invalid. " "He said there would be changes so your argument is invalid." "The game isn't about slots so your argument is invalid." "This isn't my pet issue so your argument is invalid."
  14. I've actually started seeing "I'm leaving" threads full of sympathetic responses since this debacle and not 90% "can I have your stuff / don't let the door hit you" responses. Many people are upset with how this was handled. You can't just **** around when real money is involved and expect players to take it. Some people bought several packs, got 3 or more slots, only to have them broken a week later. Money wasted if all they wanted from the packs were those machines. People have sensitive nerves in their wallets. If they get abused there, they don't spend long philosophizing about the in game economy.
  15. I actually don't use that button much. When I do, misclicking it doesn't lead to a loading screen. Misclicking the 4 options it brings up does.
  16. 4 head slot items should be in the next cartel pack. "Jedi hood" "Jedi relaxed hood" "Sith hood" and "Sith relaxed hood". Relaxed being hood down. Non-relaxed being hood up. They have the models. Jedi hood would ref a cloth texture. Sith hood would ref a leather one. You know where to mail my consultant fee. Bonus: add them as rare drops to the next slot machine. No mats, just hoods and rep.
  17. 2 or 3 seconds in case we hit the wrong button. They're so tiny...
  18. Have y'all not heard of white knighting a planet?
  19. But this is accurate. After we blow one stack of coins, we never use it again. We're left only a little behind in creds.
  20. I've seen these QnAs, people ask one thing, they answer sideways as if they asked something different. Everyone nods and decides that's good enough. If that was their intent they royally missed the mark at the outset.
  21. Agreed. The sequence could be explained by some very shady thought processes and motives. But it's also kind of a stupid thing to go full evil for, even if it does sell a few hundred extra crates. But... it could have been apathetic evil (that should totally be an alignment btw). Edit: Or worse...stupid evil...derp
  22. No doubt, bit I am leaning toward the b&s being unintentional. Still, intent may not matter. It does make a bit of sense that the CM team went to the core team and said, "Hey we want to add jawa junk to the slots." Core team "Sure, but keep it low yeild." CM Team, to themselves, "10% is low yield, right?" Core Team "Mother of god! *** did you do!?" CM Team, "Uh...uh...uh..." Nerf sledgehammer, "Whoops!" Core Team, "Go back to you hole!"
  23. The point of the nerf was to remove the slot machine as a variable in the economy. It did. Judgement: Intentional Edit: Does it show how stupid the original implementation was that they basically had to brick it? Yeah.
  24. Yeah, the drop rates were nuts and needed tweaking. Even shifting away from purples altogether...just blues and greens. Definitely a sloped rate from green to purple. But this...this **** is ****ed. I bought the emperor's robes and they tweaked them into the emperor's jock strap.
  25. They ripped us off, got a bloody nose for it. Now they're sulking. Don't expect a reversal any time soon.
