  1. I think that instead of changing the gold/silver/bronze packs they should change the equipment tab to include all cartel market armors to direct sale. With the ridiculously low drop rate of some of the armors like Satele Shan's or Tulak Horde's I've found it easier and far less expensive to farm credits and buy the sets from GTN. If the sets were available for direct sale I'd probably start buying cartel coins again.
  2. Is this a serious post? I mean really...everything storywise, you can spam your "1" key and clear. Your talking about a bad rotation? I can't even get INTO a rotation...on any class...nothing takes more than 2-3 hits to down, even with healing toons. Do you have gear equipped?
  3. I'm wondering this myself, and I can't find any info on it. I don't wanna get caught up in a bioware "we goofed" moment that later turns out to be an exploit like what happened with the temple chairs a while back. I've seen some of these new BOE certificate items on the gtn also. Just to be safe, I'll be steering clear of these items until it's clear that they are supposed to be BOE or BOP...my guess is the latter.
  4. All of the rep vendors in the bazaar have been condensed into 4 vendors around the same locale.
  5. The legacy unlocks going to 400CC is ridiculous. That is way too expensive to gain access to something we already paid for. You guys made sure to shout from the rooftops that this xpac would be "free to all subscribers." I feel like we were lied to at this point seeing the shady way you hid the cost of the xpac in the cartel market and collections. I would prefer to spend $10 or $15 dollars on the xpac rather than be lied to and ripped off via the cash shop.
  6. I think it's lame to grind for gear that will only be useful in raids. I also don't want to fight every trash mob that comes bear me, or I to them. Someone mentioned level sync is a good idea because high level players won't be clearing their mob kills...we'll guess what?, now I'm forced to steal your mob kills whenever I'm on a planet...any planet really, since all the leveling planets are sub65. And as far as relevant rewards?...I've not had anything drop from any of the heroics that I can use...nothing. GW2 level sync works because the game wasn't 4 years old when it was implemented, and their gearing system and markets work much differently than SWtOR does.
  7. A quick shout out to all the people that thought this xpac was free. Bioware just decided to take the money from is in a different venue. Pretty disappointed with the shady way(s) they intentionally hid the cost of the expansion in the cartel market. I think this will backfire on them in the end. I would have much rather paid $10-$15 for the xpac rather than being decieved and drained at every micro transaction in the game.
  8. I think you may be missing a very solid point many have been trying to make here. Many of us do not think these packs are a good deal. This is because of the junky items they contain. Putting the unopened packs on the gtn is not going to increase the aforementioned packs and their junky items any more appealing unless they're priced ridiculously low.
  9. So you're saying that you bought $350-$400 worth of hypercrates and saying it was a successful transaction because you almost got a full set of the 2 new ultra rare armors and a half dozen mounts. I think you have illustrated the point many of us have been trying to make very well.
  10. Lolol...ya, not sure I'm buying that either...think we've got some trollin goin on here...
  11. Please don't pretend to speak for what "people like." PEOPLE are explaining what they/we like quite adequately for ourselves, thank you. You've posted that YOU got great rolls on the goodies in the new packs and you like the structure...that's great, sincerely, I am glad to read that someone had the good fortune of getting good stuff. But it is painfully obvious by reading the majority of these posts that this was the exception and not the rule. We were asked if WE FEEL that the new structure was an improvement to US. Most of us do not. Arguing about our perception is unwarranted and obnoxious. If you dig the new setup, great! But don't impose your accusations on the rest of us and imply that you know better what we feel/think than we do please.
  12. Nobody should be shocked here folks. That stated before the release of these packs that they were essentially going to "increase the value of the packs, by decreasing the item count by 60%." Many people (myself included) saw this for the money-grabbing scam it is and refused to buy the packs. That is probably by we're seeing these threads posted; sales plummeted and they are now in damage contr mode.
  13. I don't know why people are acting as tho they are surprised. They said before the packs were released " We're increasing your value by giving you 60% less." How anybody does not recognize this as a sheer money grab is beyond me. Seems like a lot of us recognized a scam for being a scam and refused to participate. I'm pretty sure that's why they're asking for feedback at this point...their sales plummeted and now they're in damage control mode.
  14. I second this idea (or is it 3rd now?). The "hope I get lucky" on actual dollar sales has lost its glamour. Rare drops have become even more scarce as of late and it really seems like many of the armor sets are thrown together with the initial intent to be filler garbage, instead of what people actually want the frontline defenders set or section guardian set are examples. Perhaps a way to keep your profits up, would also to be to offer certain pieces of sets for sale, ie gloves, belt, etc...at an increased price per piece in contrast to the while set. For example, a chestpiece of a 7 piece set could cost 250-300 CC, the belt 260-300, etc...or the while set could be purchased for the going rate of 1400 CC. Also, the price for unlocking the sets per account is waaaaay too high right now. A range of 60-240 based in rarity is plenty. Asking for almost a whole months' alottment of coins to unlock 1 set we've already paid for is kinda shameful IMO. The unlocks could also be seperated by piece. I know that I've bought(and had to unlock) many ugly sets because I like the the boots or headpiece, but instantly throw the other pieces on the ground. I believe that if you guys try to be fair with us here, you will actually increase your profits. Dropping an item count while keeping the price the same is not appealing to most people, and decreasing the drop rate of desired armors isn't going to encourage us to buy more either....just sayin.
  15. I have not purchased any of the new Underworld Alliance packs so I can't comment on drop rates etc..but I can explain WHY I didn't buy any. Let me start by saying, that I usually purchase 1 hypercrate with each new pack release. I skipped this time because of the 60% reduction in items per pack with no price reduction. The price was way too high for the items per pack, stacked on top of the items always being a gamble in the first place. Many other games have sustained themselves quite well with direct market item purchases. Lately (for a long while actually) it seems that there are 2-3 items that everyone wants, and the rest is garbage. Guess what most players end up with?, yep you guessed it...the garbage that nobody wants. At least before this pack it felt as though we had a 20%-30% chance to recieve something cool. From what I've read, and based on the item decrease we can now divide that 20%-30% by 60%. What were left with is horrible odds. I don't like gambling in the first place, and certainly won't participate in a game so clearly stacked against me.
  16. And that's why customer service is dead. People just take whatever crap is thrown to them, disregarding the fact that they paid for one item and got another. Know why the lop at McDonalds that removed your pickles still has a job?, because not enough people alerted his supervisors about his incompetence. The same applies here. We bought one product, and are being given something different. They tried to remove the rep vendors in the cartel bizarre too, but when players had a heads up in advance, they COMPLAINED and the decision was reversed. It is our job as a community to let the devs know whether we like changes or don't, as they will affect the product we are paying for. If I paid for pickles, you're damn right I'm tellin someone in charge to put em on my sammich!!
  17. It really depends on what kind of play you're into. If you enjoy leveling, there are xp boosts of different sorts. If you want to make some credits, treek, character slots, and name legacy changes sell well on the gtn. If you want armor for your character or weapons, there are quite a few to choose from under the equipment tab. These also sale fairly well in the gtn. What I WOULDNT do however is waste those coins on the new packs, as you will essentially be receiving only 40% of the items previous packs contained. That being said, some of the older packs may have some goodies you'd like to have.
  18. The sad fact is that subscription rates are bottom tier in the profit outlook now. People making direct $$ purchases from the cartel market has far exceeded the paultry amount raised by us subs. Until the disappointment of players is felt in the cartel market, nothing will change...and if people are willing to let themselves be ripped off by a direct money grab in the way of a 60% raise in prices, then that model will be continued also.
  19. The titles aren't a huge deal to me, but I was disappointed that when I used my free 6" token for a shadow the class titles weren't there, ie "master", "barsenthor", etc...especially since the crew aboard Marr's ship refer to you as such. The whole "I didn't earn these titles" argument is bunk however. I didn't start the new free 60 with no titles. In fact I started with at least 30-40, like "incredible smell discoverer", "republic legend", and so on. The free 60 shadow I created certainly didn't earn these either, but they were still available. So while it's not game breaking IMO, it is still disappointing.
  20. All I can say here is what I've seen. Most players don't want open world pvp. When the gree event runs, people avoid the pvp area like the plague. As has been noted, many players even on pvp servers don't want to pvp all that much outside of instances warzones. When I am on a planet where both factions intermingle, 1/50 players flags themselves. Nothing is stopping players from engaging in mass scale pvp on these planets but it still doesn't happen. Maybe it's that there are no rewards for doing so, but then I look at participation in ranked wz's and the population isn't there either. Sadly, it seems that this game is slowly becoming a single player online rpg, where any and all group content is being neglected and will soon be abandoned.
  21. Even with those MASSIVE HEALS the next class had less than half that damage. If you don't see how 4.8 mill dmg in a single warzone is super helpful to ANY team, then I really don't know how else to help you understand. My post was first of all meant to be sarcastic, but also to illustrate the ridiculousness of sorc players whining about a lack of burst...which basically sounds like players saying, "we're top in dps, we're top in overall damage, we're top in heals, but that's not good enough unless we're top in kills and burst." I don't really see a viable platform for sorcs to qq about anything related to pvp right now.
