  1. Well you and the other 41 players on fleet have fun with the inconsequential, linear single player story cinematic and companions. For many of us, the idea of paying a monthly subscription for a single player rpg is ridiculous. If EAWare wants to produce a single player online rpg fine, just don't misrepresent it as a mmorpg. It's false advertisement, and is disgusting IMO. The previous "story driven" expansion was so successful that most players have left. GG EAWare, you've created one of the most unpopulated "mmo's" online.
  2. Just pay the $165 between now and the end of the "expansion" and you'll find out.... maybe....
  3. 4 players isn't an operation. It's a flashpoint, or heroic at best. They said the new content would be solvable. How does that translate to group operations in your mind? And it's hard to find a group because the VAST majority of players left.....because of no group content.
  4. Can you solo ops? No? Learn to read fanboi, before you put on your shiny white armor to come to the rescue.
  5. That's all I needed to hear to cancel my sub. A new stale companion and mount aren't mmo content, and neither are cartel market items. Your game is dying due to your poor decisions and yet you double down. If your goal was is to drive mmo players away, then gg. You've definitely succeeded in doing that. Maybe I'll drop $15 next August to play all your "new content" in a day. See y'all in Legion/ESO.
  6. Same. It's been way too long without any meaningful communication to think anything substantial will change. Additionally, the content drought on the mmo/pve side just doesn't justify a monthly payment anymore. Sad that a game with so much potential has been ruined and neglected so badly. Oh well.
  7. They don't even read your suggestions man. The only thing they are concerned about are bugs and glitches regarding CM items.
  8. Ok then, let's just agree that any ability held by ANY class that makes one invulnerable to damage, stuns, knockbacks, roots, snares, or any type of CC would make that player give up control of the node....sound good?
  9. First of all, thanks for the post Ben. I'm glad to see that you and your partner's are happy with the success of the game as it is. Your players however, are not. This game is a ghost town compared to what it was even a year ago. We (the players) do not measure success on how much money you and your partner's make on microtransactions. Many of us would like to see more group content such as NEW operations, flashpoint, and heroics. While the single player experience you have provided is entertaining ONCE, it has very little to no replayabilty. I believe many of us would gauge success on a populated game, fun, and choices that actually matter. A good start would be to a address class balance so that when the single player content becomes stale, we have an alternative game mode that is exciting, challenging, and enjoyable. Next would be to introduce NEW group oriented content with the same aforementioned goals in mind. Please save your (our) game before it becomes a solely CM driven game that only caters to those who want to play dolly dress up, or Barbie mansion decorator.
  10. Guess what else? They're not "giving" us anything. They're "selling" us something. Selling is the term one uses when a good or service is exchanged for currency. Giving is something one does without the expectation of payment. You obviously like not having new endgame content for two years, and are happy with 30 lifeless companions...+1. That's fine, nobody here is saying YOU shouldn't like it. For some of the rest of us however, while we do enjoy the story, we would like to see something in the way of content with a little longevity. I can't speak for everyone, but once I did ALL of the 1-9 chapter and recruitment/heroic/influence missions once, I have no desire to run anymore characters through it. It became a grind, and a very boring and silent (no voice overs) one at that. I'm not sure hk-55 is worth $120.
  11. The only thing you're dumbing down is warzones in general. You're doing exactly what every noob does in his/her first warzone. You tunnel one player and follow them all over the damn map completely unaware of the objectives in play. If you thought you were gonna come into this forum and say you throw matches for medals and get a ton of support, obviously you have more than just the objective, team aspect of queued warzones to learn.
  12. Pvp is "working as intended."
  13. First, there already is a toggle for difficulty. One companion has 40 influence; this is easy mode. Another companion has 1 influence...the difficulty is increased. Almost none of the players that were seeking more "challenging" content used the companion with 1 influence...instead they maxed affection with <comp name here>, blew through the content and said it wasn't challenging enough. Second, I'd like to point out that trying to do EVERY mission EVERY day is craziness. Even folks (like me) that have a lot of time to play don't shoot for EVERY daily/weekly/flashpoint/OP/pvp. If we did, it would take (for me at least) about 2 weeks to become burned out and quit playing. Try to alternate between content a little. One week get the pvp stuff done. The next do operations, etc. I'm all for giving companions back some effectiveness, but if they get to the point where all 530 missions can be done easily EVERY week, I see some longevity issues for the game. Finally, I'd like to say; you can ignore GSF dailies/weeklies...GSF SUCKS!!...lol
  14. Seriously?...you post a whiny post whining about whiners? You're doing the exact thing you're criticizing...think there's a word for that.....
  15. Thank you for the update. Obviously, not everyone can be made happy here, but I feel this was a good compromise. I don't consider myself a super-uber player but I play all types of content. With 4.0 I sailed through every piece of solo able content with little effort. When the patch dropped, I was a little leary but decided to give it a go. Again, I cruised easily through every heroic on every planet, including the H2+ starfortresses. The only mission I was unable to solo was "vipers nest" on Makeb, but quickly found a player also having trouble and we cleared it easily together. While the content was easy for me either way, I have been playing that toon (guardian dps) for years now. There was definitely some content where I thought to myself," damn...if I was on almost any other class I wouldn't have been able to do that" and could clearly see where some newer or more casual players would be having issues and becoming very frustrated. I think for solo, story mode, casual content the companions could definitely use some buffing, and at the same time, I'm glad the "H2+" starfortresses will remain challenging. All in all, I hope most will find the same solace in the compromise that I do...thanks again.
  16. /bump so hopefully this will get noticed before servers start to totally crash. Outside/non-instanced heroic areas are unplayable because dead npc's don't despawn. This is happening on almost every planet.
  17. Yep same here. Just finished up heroics on balmora @ Harbinger. Thousands of dead collicoids everywhere and ability delay of 8 or more seconds. I hope they fix this before the weekend...if not, I bet some of the more heavily populated servers are gonna crash at prime time.
  18. And this is exactly the people Bioware was trying to attract with this xpac. "We've heard you loud and clear, and what the players are telling us they want is more story. So we're going back to our story telling roots." Like it or not, this is te face of today's gamer. People want to jump into the action for an hour or so when they get the chance and have fun doing it. The players complaining that the content was too easy could very well have played through the content on a toon with little to no influence to increase the difficulty. But they/we didn't. Instead, many bought gifts with crystals and credits to max their companions affection as quickly as possible and then immediately complained that the intent was too easy. I have no problem with companions being as they are now, but I am irritated that so many players picked up a sub because they were told they were in for a casual experience, only to have the "casual" part removed a few weeks later. The population of this game seemed to have been struggling before the xpac, and I thought it was great to see so many new players coming in. I'd hate to see a lot of them leave because they feel as though they were decieved.
  19. The only way anyone was button mashing through the heroic versions of the star fortresses is if they had purposely given their companion gifts to raise affection. Want t more challenging?, pick a companion with 1 influence...or none. People quickly devised strategies to get their companion(s) affection maxed out and turned right around and complained that the solo, story mode, casual content wasn't challenging anymore. Here's a thought...use a different companion. The complainers had/have that option. What has been left for the casuals that this entire xpac was geared toward? Did bioware say at E3, " we've heard you loud and clear, and what youve told us you want is more challenge?"
  20. They fixed the bug that allowed you to equip an offhand barrel/hilt in a mainhand weapon. Buy another 208 barrel/hilt from the gtn and replace the offhand version with it.
  21. I don't understand why people were whining in the first place. The companions were only OP if you increased their influence. If you/I wanted more difficult play, use a companion with less influence. For those that wanted a more casual experience maxing influence could help them do that too. Influence with the companions is a choice for every player. Not being able to clear content is obviously not. I haven't had issues clearing any content, but I'd hate to see all the new people this xpac pulled in quit because they were lead to believe they were paying for a product that was quickly pulled out from under them.
  22. People complained that the new hypercrates/packs lost substantial value when bioware decreased the item count from 5 to 2. We told them that one random armor and one companion gift for 200CC wasn't a good deal. Know how to get your companions to perform better? Give them companion gifts. NOW getting a companion gift is worth the 200CC right? Wanna clear content? PAY for it. Buy CC so you can get gifts, or go broke buying them from the gtn and THEN buy CC to make your companion competent. Seems like a pay to win scenario to me. Free xpac my furry ***!
  23. The fact still remains that instead of 60% of the items being removed now with the addition of jawa junk we have still lost 40% of the items previously included in packs. 200 CC is still too expensive for 3 random items. If the value does not return in one way or another, either by lowering the cost to reflect the amount of items contained, or the amount of items increased to reflect the price, I will buy 0 packs/hypercrates.
  24. Like others have said, OW PvP is a joke. A group of 4 lvl 65 shadows in pvp gear waiting for a level 43 to engage a champion or elite mob to gank him. You're a troll, and trolls just like you is why PvP servers are dead/dying.
