  1. Long time ago, in galaxy far away, lived Imperial Legend, Archiss Invictimus. After having defeated Emperor of Zakuul, Archiss assumed title of "Emperor and Galactic Commander". Altough he has not received universal recognition, major factions in galaxy recognize his immense power. Once member of Imperial Intelligence, now Sith Empire is no longer able to force their will on Archiss. Empress and Dark Council negotiate with him as an equal ally of Empire, and unwilling to have him as their enemy, even allowed him to retain his autonomy from Empire. Archiss has gathered loyal group of allies, many of whom are legends of their own, commonly referred to as Alliance. Many members of Invictimus, including brother of Archiss, Irachiss, are part of the alliance. However not all members of Invictimus recognize Archiss as their leader. Most notably triplets Wehirse, Arcumid and Bragorrus, Sith Lords and Dark side fanatics, have each made their own claim to Eternal Throne. Some details about group known as Invictimus remain unclear. Even name is claimed to be anachronistic, but most experts agree that at least some members of Invcitimus legacy used that name themselves. Altough it is clear that they were different inviduals, it is unknown which of them really killed Emperor of Zakuul. It may be that none of them were even involved, and story was later made up for propaganda, eventually evolving into legend. Details about Archiss the Invictimus's history are almost completely unknown, most likely due to his involvement in Imperial Intelligence, later becoming Sith Intelligence Commander and his disputed ascension to Eternal Throne. It is known that at some point in his life he gained enough knowldege about Force to rival many Sith or Jedi. He made multiple allies among both Sith and Jedi orders, some of whom started referring to themselves as Invictimus, like it would be a family name. It may have started as lifetime recognition of their alliance. After having gained legendary status, rival claimants to the title started to appear, like pretenders to a monarch, each claiming to be rightful Invictimus. Records about the entire Invictimus group are as varied and inaccurate as history books written about them. Following record has been -:-erased-:-redacted-:- End of recording.
  2. After first 2 episodes i was not impressed, and i don't really care if i miss other episodes. But unless we de-canonize Episode 7, Mandalorian is propably best Disney era Star Wars film or show (i have not seen all the latest episodes of Rebels, i did not like most of the episodes at all) There was nothing that i hated, so from me that is big endorsement. I mean i don't like at all how dull the planets and enviroment are, but i feel its little too early to judge yet and one of them was Tatooine which i can forgive, there is easily enough room for 1 desert planet in the galaxy.
  3. I can't pick favorites, but these are some of the great scenes: -when Palpatine tries to flee from Yoda and Yoda jumps in front of him, saying "if so powerful you are, why leave?" -Large parts of Anakin vs Obi wan duel at Mustafar -During Yoda Vs Palpatine duel when emperor throws platforms at Yoda and Yoda stops platform and hurls it back at him, followed by Yoda stopping force lightning with his hands and reflecting it back to Palpatine -Opera scene -Vader vs Luke in episode 5, possibly all of it -Opening scene of Episode 4 -and more How on earth am i supposed to pick favorites? Pre-Disney Star Wars was full of epic moments, even prequels. And unlike sequels or technology limited originals, prequels actually had force users fighting with lightsabers instead of nobodies fighting with steel swords. Lightsaber blade does not have weight, and Force can make jumps and other stuff possibly even realistic part of combat for Force users. Certainly the fast speed is realistic, and i love how Hayden Christennsen and Ewan McGregor fought their duel in real time. But more important to me is the music, in Disney Star Wars that is nearly entirely missing or muted to nearly non-existent volume, and also style of music was made much less noticable, into something that fades into background far better. And planets are terribly dull and too earth like, something that is forgivable for original movies. Only Disney era Star Wars moment that seems in any way epic is Darth Vader at end of Rogue One. But even Darth Vader no longer sounds like Darth Vader, and his lightsaber got swapped into steel blade - though with him it makes sense, and if others would be able to move at faster Force user speeds like in prequels, it would make it so much more impressive that Darth Vader can still beat almost anyone in the galaxy. And music is still little missing in that scene. I really don't like 2010s film/show production trends They try to be more realistic but often they fail or at least they d are not (epic)"space operas" like Star Wars is supposed to be. Space operas can be dark, they can be darker than fan favorite Episode 5, and they can also be more realistic. But they really should have music as if name would have something to do with music.
  4. We have Vulkan and DX12 and some games still don't even have DX11... I know already finished games are time consuming and thus costly to update to DX12 or Vulkan, and even more time consuming aka costlier to actually see any benefit from it. But still i keep hoping that sometimes they update every popular game to take advantage of Vulkan and DX12. Sadly, that is not realistic dream:(
  5. It does. I personally am story person, and ever since KOTFE chapter 12 or something like that story has been bad. KOTFE story was never perfect but it was told well enough that i liked all the levels you got for free without subbing. But levels after that have not been as good. And when story is not good and combat is absolutely not special and MMO players are lacking content... You are in trouble. I have kept playing this game because it is Star Wars. If we one day get Star Wars version of Star Citizen i would immediately change to that. But first i guess Star Citizen would actually have to be released...
  6. I think it makes sense that Vitiate was Valkorion. It explains why he was so inactive as Sith Emperor. He used most of that time concentrating on being Valkorion. Yes it must have been some kind of multi-posession/multi-personality thing.
  7. And this is why only way to make things right is to make me the next Emperor I would solve everything that is unfair... for me
  8. You have sort of failed for the first time prophet I hope your phophesies are more accurate when the Emperor arrives. He is not as forgiving as i am.
  9. Wait what? Ehm, how could he gain access to anything that he could blackmail with? What was he blackmailing with? how
  10. About gold farmers: if earning money in the game is fun enough, people don't want to pay for it in real life. If earning credits would be fun part of the game instead of reward for doing chore, gold farmers would be so rare that they would not be problem. Nobody would do dungeons in MMO games more than couple of times if that would not be required to get something. If playing dungeons again and again would be fun, people would just do it themselves. For example a match in Battlefield (no i don't play it, just example) is something people want to do. It is not just work so they can get reward, the match itself is what they enjoy. It always is easier said than done of course, but i can't think of last time someone would have tried making dungeons in MMO as fun as possible. Instead the focus is always on amount of content. If existing dungeons would be fun enough, there would be far smaller need for new dungeons. No, i could not do it better myself. I can just offer easy theoretical answers.
  11. Story can sometimes be really interesting. I don't yet know what i do with my Inquisitor, i started it as ultimate evil. He looks like walking embodiment of evil. minor spoiler about inquisitor class: And now i am at moment where my character might start turning to light side. Tale as old as time. Evil bastard does not care about anything. He captures and corrupts innocent girl, does couple of average genocides and then - love happens. If you combine everything in the game with your imagination, role play and feelings, it all becomes really cliche, but still touching story. Does Lord Wehirse of Invictimus legacy, bringer of war (my character name), see error of his ways, and together with fallen Jedi, criminals, scum and others monsters, reject dark side and pay for their mistakes better than any prison ever could, by wandering all around galaxy and saving it couple of times. I love role play I certainly recommend that everyone tries going from evil to good or other way around or something in between, and do some role playing and imagination where game's limitations don't allow it. It can also be good stress relief. Sometimes there is no better way to relieve stress than take bloodiest game you have and murder everyone in most brutal ways possible. And i don't even like blood and gore usually. In Star Wars i don't even care about dismemberment or any of that. But sometimes it is brilliant way to relieve some stress. No need to think about right or wrong, just murder some pixels until you are content.
  12. Would actually like to see Hutt as new species. Being able to move would be mini-game on it's own. You would move on repulsor platform surrounded by your slaves and bodyguards and droids. As you gain more XP you get fatter, and you need to get bigger platform. Would actually be a lot of fun i certainly would want to play such expansion
  13. First i was laughing, but then i read second OP's post and now i have to ask if this is serious thread? Anyways, in the past it indeed was an advantage to gain fat easily. Due to lack of food and large amount of physical activities, those same people still did not become obese. But times change, and today it is other way around. In fact, it may be small evolutionary advantage if you can eat more food without getting fat. It means that you can eat larger amounts of food that is low on vitamins and thus you can get enough vitamins, where as people who gain weight easily would have to get their vitamins elsewhere. Mostly a social problem and not evolutionary one though. Mostly, people are fat because it is their own fault. Back to topic: in more realistic games like Star Citizen it would be great if larger people can carry more stuff, where as skinnier people are smaller targets. In games like Old Republic, i think it all should be just RP and visual stuff.
  14. I was thinking that devs could also just reduce HP of everyone in story mode so combat does not last as long so people don`t have to spend so much time in it. Since that one is more likely to happen, i hope it will. It only makes sense to make combat in story mode more like combat is in first hour or so of the game when it did not last anywhere near as long.
  15. I was thinking of just adding a button that lets me skip things i don`t like. Skip travel, skip combat. And i never wanted to skip RP... But i do certainly skip boring parts of it, such as some travel or fighting or mini games or some of exploration etc. And i never talked about making MMO into Telltale game. I only talked about optional button that lets me enjoy MMO as if it would be Telltale game. I don`t want any changes to you. I would want to keep this secret so people would not waste their time arguing against it. I don´t want you to even know that it is possible to skip all of combat in this game. I just want to be able to do it myself. But to be able to do it myself, i have to make this suggestion public. Most of the story in most of the games is in single player, so it would be more accurate to say "don´t play single player video games". But what ever. And my answer to that is that your answer is just as stupid as you think my suggestion is. In movies or books you can`t make any choices. You can`t customize anything, you can`t interact with anything in any way. In SWTOR story you can, even if it sometimes has little to no effect. But i am fine with that. Just gimme that. You don´t have to care about it at all. You don`t have to think it is fun or makes sense, becouse you don`t even have to notice that it exists. Just give me ability to skip boring parts, i will bay Bioware for that, and you will benefit from that by Bioware geting money from me so they can give you more of that stuff you enjoy doing. I have not played Telltale games, but can you do any customization or other stuff like that in those? But yeah i do basically want telltale version of SWTOR story. It would be really cheap to make as 99% of everything already is in SWTOR, it just needs to be made in new format. Or if you want to make it even easier, just give me button that allows me to instantly skip to next conversation or cut scene. Just give me button that allows me to instantly skip to next conversation or cut scene. I will pay for it. Only question is, how many others would pay for it? Well, considering it would be dirt cheap to make such a button, it certainly would be profitable enough. So it certainly should be made. In most of the games vast majority of people only experience small percentage of the game anyway. So why can`t i pay to experience small percentage that i do like? In this case it would not take almost any development time at all, but would introduce new people and some of them would play rest of the game, and would be way to make money. And did i already say: it has no downside but it does let many more people pay Bioware to do what they enjoy doing, and that benefits every player of SWTOR no matter what they do. There are even people who have bought Stellaris just becouse they want to mod it, even though they don´t play it. Why it should matter to others why those people have bought Stellaris? It only benefits others and has no downsides... so why not? Why does it have to make any sense to you as long as those people enjoy it and pay the company for it? It does not make any sense for me to buy iPhone, but if people want to do what i consider to be waste of money, i don`t have to care about it. They pay taxes by buying those iPhones and that benefits me, so sure, go ahead and do something what i consider to be useless, they are happy to do so and i still benefit from it even though it has no affects on me.
  16. So here is a fact: lot of people love SWTOR trailers even if they don`t care about the game. And lot of people might love the story even if they don`t care about the game or if they only care about certain parts of the game. So why not release DLC that would literally let them experience only the stuff they like: allow me to go trough the story without having to do any fighting, becouse i don´t like fighting in this game. Why can`t i do that? I would literally pay if i could play trough the game without having to do any fighting in this game. Introduce it as completely separate game mode, or DLC or in what ever form works, and it does not affect anyone. It would only serve as extra source of income that could be used to develop the game for those who do enjoy the game, and introduce more story stuff for people like me who like the story but don´t like the combat or some other gameplay stuff at all. It would not be any different from mobile apps in a sense that people don´t have to care about it at all if they don`t want to. if you want to experience full experience of SWTOR and play trough the combat, you should be allowed to do it. But i, and lot of other people, don`t care about combat in this game. Lot of people don`t care about wast majority of gameplay mechanics in this game. But lot of people are interested in story. It would take extremely small budget to simply introduce DLC that allows me to skip the combat if i so desire and has no downsides. So why not do it? It would only bring more people into SWTOR, and nobody would be forced to leave becouse nothing changes for them. Small amount of people would complain how they have gone trough big effort to play trough the game while others just skip the combat - but this is supposed to be video game, and in video games you are supposed to have fun. It does not take anything away from you, and it hardly is any different from selecting very easy difficulty, expect it saves hundreds of hours of time. And time is something you can never get back. Let the complaining begin, tell me why you are outraged about this idea. Don`t get me wrong, this is completely serious suggestion. I don´t care about combat in this game. I want to skip combat entirely. It does not take anything away from anyone else, but it does bring more money to Bioware-EA which would benefit everyone. So why not let me enjoy only parts of the game that i do enjoy, and save hundreds of hours of my time? And don`t bother saying "just play on easy difficulty" becouse i already do, but combat still takes very long time and i still don´t enjoy it, so i would love to just skip it entirely. And no i can`t just watch somebody else play becouse then i can`t make decisions i want - even if they have little effect in the story. I also can`t customize anything. I have spent plenty of time just making my character and their outfits look good. Etc etc. I like lot of things in this game, i just want to skip the combat. DLC that lets you skip things you simply are not interested in would work in so many games. It would work in Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Old Republic, World of Warcraft and any other game with story. Even in Portal it would work. Pretty sure at some point in future there will be game that lets you just experience the story and what ever things you do like, and just turn off things you don`t care about. Lot of games already have options to turn off gameplay features you don`t care about, why can´t we have the same thing and let me turn off combat? This idea may not get lot of support here in forums becouse only subs are allowd to post here. But take this suggestion somewhere where anyone can post and it would get support. I might post this elsewhere when i have time.
  17. Why? Better perfomance=more people who can play=more players=more money=more content.
  18. Don`t forget that only small minority of people are active on forums. So from those who are active on the forums, which often means more hardcore portion of the audience, 38% want story. From casuals, i would guess figure is double that. They can go play PvE into any MMO, but SWTOR has perhaps best story in any MMO.
  19. First of all, would be nice if you would not put spoilers in title... Secondly, in Mass Effect 1 you could kill Ashley. She was annoying and people disliked her. But by Mass Effect 3, she had grown up and many people who killed her regretted it, while others never found out becouse they had killed her earlier. Kill followers if you want to, point of video games is to have fun, but remember that some characters can grow a lot and if you kill them you might miss out a lot.
  20. Agreed, VIP does need more. At the moment all you get is minor FPS boost due to it being empty of players becouse it is pointless to go there.
  21. Expect he does not have to pay money and gets lot of stuff for free. He simply is against sub, as am i. Paying for this game is like buying new game every time. I am fine with buying new expansions, but i hate sub system. At the moment i find it worth the cost, but dunno about future, and i think i still prefer non-sub models. Stop being a child, people who are against subs are not against paying for products you know. Paradox grand strategy games have massive DLC spam, and i have no problem of paying for them.
  22. Maybe you are interested in my suggestion. http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=911073 If this game would have single player that is separate from MP like it is in Battlefield 1, this game would not need large numbers or subs to stay profitable, and thus ensure continued development and thus ensure improvements. And what i mean as single player would be entirely new, imagine if Battlefield did not have single player and they would add it later - that is what i mean. Mutliplayer would be what SWTOR is at the moment, and that can be improved to liking of MMO players. Lots of people think this is single player game, and single player story is only reason why this game survives. True or not, it does seem that devs think that. So it would make sense to make single player as good as possible. KOTET just ended without bigger cliffhangers, so it would be good time to develop single player expansion that adds single player as separate part of the game. Bioware is great at telling stories, so they can do that to single player so they profit from it as much as possible. Then they could use those funds to improve MMO aspect of the game. In single player, you could actually be Emperor. You could blow up Coruscant. That is not something you can do in MMO, but could in single player.
