I feel the thread has gone somewhat away from the original topic which was... Is ERP outright against the rules allowed within SWTOR, especially within RP servers such as Progenitor and Ebonhawk. Some would say the SWTOR Rules of Conduct which state:- "To keep the Service a compliant, fun, fair and safe gaming environment for everyone, you may not engage in any of the following behavior: (Behaviour*) Create character names or otherwise transmit or facilitate distribution of Content that is harmful, abusive, racially or ethnically offensive, vulgar, sexually explicit, defamatory, infringing, invasive of personal privacy or publicity rights, or objectionable in a reasonable person's view. (Also see “Naming Policy” below.)" -Are clear cut that engaging in activities such as ERP is against the rules of conduct on SWTOR However such a rule in a RP'ing context would also mean the following are banned. -In character swearing (Vulgar) -Imperial Discrimination (Racially or Ethnically Offensive) -Imperial/Huttese Slavery (Abusive) -Misrepresenting anyone other than yourself (Defamatory) Most of which appear in the game from NPC's and that is to name a few. And another thing to take note of is the following quote written within the Rules of conduct: "Despite our best efforts to detail the different sections with specific examples, there will always be areas that will be ultimately handled on a per incident basis by the Star Wars Customer Service Team (“SWTOR CS”). Even when not specified, we Electronic Arts and Bioware have the sole right and final judgment of how to interpret and apply these rules and guidelines to any specific circumstance and situation, including proper punishment or exception." ((BioWare* Judgement*)) With this is ERP outright banned? or a Grey area that is looked over under the right circumstance Public ERP and ERP with a Minor would be understandably offensive and deserve warning/ be a banable offence. (Side note) ERP for those who are rather unfamiliar with the term is Erotic Role-Play. Role-Play which involves implied sexual activity or outright sexual relations or situations between characters. In simple terms Role-Play Rated 'XXX'

I've seen it time and again, especially in the RP servers arguments in the general chat regarding ERP and if it's against the rules or not. If it isn't then how come so few are aware of it? If it is, then how come those who partake aren't reprimanded? I'm not here looking for permission to ERP, (that would be weird) I am just hoping some light can be shed on the action, is it outright against the rules, within the boundaries of the rules, or allowed under certain circumstances?
