Only people who did benefit from this, and I do mean benefit, since affection, gear and trinkets I don't even consider as gain as all are bound to the system that is running them, are gold sellers. I canno't imagine amount of credits that went out from the game to them to re-sell them back for real life money. You know money that you spend for subscription for this game, not some virtual affection of your "ZOMG NOW AWESOMELY FIXED COMPANIONS!!!1", or statue that will stand in your stronghold. That is the real issue about the exploit. People got vendored gear! Big deal, that gear is crap to start with. People gained comp affection! Big deal, now they craft you wont be able to sell them your overpriced GTN trinkets. What really matters is that probably unimaginable amount of money left the game only to be re-sold back to plebs that are willing to dish out 50$ for 20 mil ingame currency. That is the problem here. For some reason, people preaching here for bans and witchcraft hunt, fail to realize that impact on some random dude's comp being level 50 is insignificant to the fact that you will have cash flow in from third party directly into the game. Either, way, its Temple chair, Nefra bug, Cora bug, Illum power leveling bug, <add favorite bug/exploit here> all over again, and will be dealt probably the same as it were with all of them previously. However, if devs will spend now a month to do endless SELECT * FROM ... and trying to figure out who did what, instead of, you know, developing the game, we can expect to have new raids somewhere near 2017. But if that is their incentive to do something when community ask them, then maybe we should all stop paying subs, and actually MAKE them do some new opses and you know... bring back MMO back in this Single Player MMO game which it become slowly...

  3. BETA testers! On each expansion I was in the group of plebs that were pre-ordered your stuff. Each and every early access felt more like closed beta than early access. I didn't signed up as BETA tester and should be treated like that. Makeb had issues, GSF had issues, Rishi had issues and so on... So instead of letting bunch of dum-dums on PTS doing absolutely nothing but admiring new content before everyeone else do (yes, I am aware that there are people are actually testing stuff on PTS, but there is vast majority using PTS for training grounds for their prog teams and what not), hire a team of experienced BETA testers that will test your stuff before you release it in public. Pay them like you are paying your Q&A which also seems to do nothing since things gets released broken on arrival. Of course, this would mean that you actually have to fix stuff that they report you and not letting it float out there for ages hoping that nobody will notice. Since, as we seen so far with bugs and exploits it WILL get loose and will wreck the game as it was so far. That way, you might avoid fiasco's such as Slot machine, Cora gear bug, Duplicate items bug and so forth. Thanks for reading this (if at all you do read this forum at all)
  4. Yeah, keep reporting this, and they will "fix" it the same they increased repair bills back when cap was 50. Repairs went from 2k to 14k for 146 gear, because they realized that they didnt counted in Armoring, mods and enhancements in the shells, but only the shells themselves into calculation...
  5. Well companions are obviously different, and in my opinion half broken. Since on one room, she just stopped healing altogether. Not even clicking abilities made her do so. And issue about the numbers is the problem here since in my experience it varied from "piss easy" to "well that was hard and I had to use everything at disposal"...
  6. Yes I did actually, and when the reply starts as "not sure if you are talking bs OR somethinge else is wrong" I see it as doubt in something that I have wrote. And obviously would like to know what you find BS in that post. As I said, haven't screened the one that I have posted silly numbers from Exarch, which did the damage I wrote down. If you wanted to point out that companions act differently, then you should say so without bull$hit part. Do you really think I would bother doing it if I wanted to sell you crap? As said, done it, and couldn't care less for the nerf anymore (yeah, it pissed me as said in post, rage quit, and going full retard... but when I calmed down, realized it is not that much of an issue for me). Its not my primary fun in this game, but seing 180+ pages of people crying about I though I should give a numbers backuped feedback. Video is there because its doable, but its not meant for the majority of the population. And which questions I havent replied to? About using interrupts and cool-downs? What do you think judging from the video, do I know how to use them or not? And you obviously didn't read my original post, since as I said, I have downed her in 1:40 with Scorpios hps of less than 600. But, on the fights that DID made damage her heals were under par, and obviously nothing close with Eric's statement about level of difficulty... Either way, something is gonna change, and its nice really, since majority of people are having issues. Even that I didn't have MUCH issues with it, I really don't want to be elitist and say everything is fine since my experience didn't changed that much.
  7. What part you think its BS? I can post here complete StarParse log with all the numbers for them to ponder upon. As I said, Scorpio NEVER passed 1600 hps throughout the heroic. And please don't ask me questions about interrupts and CC's. I am quite aware of my class and really don't need advice on them. As a sniper, your kiting abilities are "slightly" reduced since your roll as only viable kiting ability is on 20 second cool-down and interrupt is on 18, and Paladins negate that quite fast. Here is last fight video. Sadly I don't have epic fail screened, since I though second one was close to perfect, but the point is that this content should be accessible to at least 50-60% of population. With current state, and judging from the size of this thread this is not the case. Add there that companions are close to retarded, and you have bunch of people begging for something to be done. Personally, I don't really care. Left 2 more to do for second set of Legacy gear (as if I don't already have enough), and wont even bother to do that content anymore. However, other 60-70% will be quite pissed about it and that's not good considering the number of those people... Also, requiring to know your class inside out for anything sans operation is rather harsh, since only operations (HM+) should be relentless and require utilization of the discipline and abilities on 100%. Story related H2, certainly don's fall into that basket in my book at least.
  8. I really hope that someone will read this. So here we go, mostly doing progression raids on Sniper, but also as Merc heal. So I would say that I know the ropes of the game... On a scale 1-5(1 casual, 5 Zorz level raider), I would like to think of myself as strong 3, maybe just shy from 4. Had my fair share of both HM and NiM ops, and been in game for like 3 years or so. Anyway regarding the numbers and feedback. Level: Level 65 Sniper Roughly Average Item Rating: ~220 Min/Maxed fully Augmented. Mastery over 5000, crit 1100+, Alacrity 890, Presence with Scorpio 2658 Discipline: All 3, pulling 6,3k dps on Engineering in current gear on 1,5mil dummy Companion: Scorpio Companion role: Heal (kinda only role for comps for pure dps class) Companion Influence level: 31+ Which Mission or Star Fortress are you playing (Solo Mode? Heroic Mode?): Mostly Heroic Your personal experience while playing this content: Ok so for planet heroics, I find it rather easy. Even after the nerf. Some of them are tricky but for example Lights out on Belsavis, where you encounter both gold and silver mobs didn't changed much pre-nerf. Could be rough, but usually end up with at least 60% health. However, due to the heavy AoE on Engineering, that numbers can change for single target DPS specs. Now, about heroics... I got to say that on Tuesday, I have entered Nar Shaddaa SF, and literally got demolished by Paladin. Probably my bad since dTPS was like 5k+. Tried it few times, and rage quit. Numbers there are odd as hell. Being sniper you don't have too much kiting options at your disposal unless Eng. You have nice cooldowns to compensate that. Went just now in Alderaan H2 as Marksmanship and buffs. Ended with like 100k HP or something. Scorpio ended with 3300+ max damage or so. First Paladin, killed it in 1:15 with my DPS of ~5200. However, I took about 180K damage. At the same time, Scorpios HPS was ~1500. Adan Tranik 2500 dps. More or less everything upto last room before Exarch was like that. However had some knights that were hitted me like a truck. One had about 3500dps on me, and about 160k damage, which is a lot. Killed him when I was on less than 10%. Second paladin, Tress Parion put up some fight, around 3300 dps, and 267k damage on me. Scorpio again pulled 1500hps with 93% efficiency. Now the room with 2 knights and 2 trash mobs. Almost died and utilized every thing at disposal. Polishing first trash mobs then stunning one knight (mind you that both were humping Scorpio like adolescents on h00ker), polishing one, meanwhile Scorpio trying to up her since she was close to dying, killing another with me again less than 10% health. Impale hits for 7k, thundering blasts for 6. assaults for 5k (all crits mind you, you gotta love RNG) Multiply by 2 of them, and you have some nice numbers. 3 stages before Exarch were quite interesting. On second room, Scorpio at one point stopped healing me, clicking her abilities didn't change a thing even they were all off the cooldown. Soon after I dieded as well. Next try, killed them faster and moved to third. Mind you that at one point, since I was farming thingies to lower Exarch shield, he completely bugged out, and started channeling console, even I haven't removed his shield at all. Clicked console, and cleared to the next one. Third one was also relatively ok, with few moments of clicking pretty much everything I had. Exarch fight... Well... Interesting, since at first one I had dTPS of about 4500. In pure numbers: Double strike, 6 hits, Avg dmg 9,777, DPS 1181 Melee attack, 23 hits, Avg dng 2406, DPS 1114 Impaling strike, 3 hits, Avg dmg 12,428, DPS 751 Shield bash, 3 hits, Avg dmg 10,917, DPS 659 Shield rush, 1 hit, Avg dmg 21,085, DPS 424 Double strike, 1 hit, 9,950, DPS 200 Residual Kinetic Energy, 2 hits, 4,438, DPS 179 Of course, that was too much for poor Scorpio, and her 1439 HPS. Next try with much better positioning, interrupts and defensive cooldowns was successful, and she died in about 1:40. It was so better that Scorpio did whooping 580 HPS and 80% efficiency To sum it up for the TL:DR 1. Not fun and quite intensive for content you are supposed to do on daily basics. Doubt I will do it any time soon as solo even I have 2 more heroics to finish on that toon. 2. Not for complete casuals at all. As in, casuals cannot complete it (didn't tried without buffs but I recon I would die much more without buffs 3. Companions need to contemplate the environment. Standing in stupid is, well, stupid. Also, if I want here in healing stance, no, I don't want her to pew-pew when I need heals. 4. Damage output is quite high for Heroic mission. Yeah, it is Heroic, and this one is certainly not for casual players. I am aware that it supposed to be challenging but this might be tad too much. 5. Eric said comps on level 50 will be more powerful than ever. I seriously doubt that. If Scorpio cannot pull more than 1500 hps when I take the damage on level 30, I dont expect her to pull much more on level 50. Up the healing output for about 25% and it should be enough challenging for first few tries, and later when you learn from own mistakes should be like regular daily missions. 6. Unless you use everything at your disposal, you might have rough ride. Anyway, hope this helps (btw, I have Exarch video but didn't posted it since everything went smoothly on second try apart from sometimes not being able to target adds that she spawn so I had to click them...)
  9. Now that you mention I think I got some Dread Guard items as well... you know that horrid looking spikes all over the place that would poke your eyes out if you actually wear that stuff... So yeah, it has LOADS of old gear... bad thing is its all RNG...
  10. Anyone recall the "fix" on repair bills when cap was level 50? Before the "fix" complete repair after dying in raiding gear (Dread Guard/Hazmat) was like 2500 credits. (way back then when 150 was like WOW DAT GEAR) After the "fix" when they started to calculate all mods in shells repair was close 14k or something per wipe. So, if they "fix" it now, and you notice that your full repair bills are 75% higher now, look yourself in the mirror and say: "I am glad that I have contributed to the game and filed bug report about repair bills" since no one else will

Care to explain to me where can I switch my cylinder to "skank" mode on my Sniper or Mara Again, it is considerably harder, and yes, I can switch to my Merc (btw not all AC are able to switch to heal or have taunts e.g. Sniper, Mara) and heal the living **** out of any companion in any stance. However that will give you several issues. 1. you will keep getting aggro (since your aggro drop is on 45 seconds cooldown) 2. your comp regardless of the stance will not be able to grab them due to healing output aggro you will generate 3. it will take an eon and half to finish it (not sure if there is enrage timer on Exarchs, but I am pretty sure you will hit it, considering you are running reduced DPS companions or God forbid tanks. Were companions OP pre-4.0.2? Sure, it was silly seeing healers hit 20k numbers. Is the nerf balanced? Sure, if you consider 1300-1500 hps heal "competitive" as Eric said. Is it possible? Sure. Did it on sniper last night on Alderaan SF with one wipe due to companion keep standing in stupid and pulling other group. Is it fun? Sure, if you like translating texts from binary to hexadecimal and then later to base64 by hand. Is it doable for the majority of the population? Well its not. And thats the point. Content related to the story, and H2 SF IS related to the story since you werent able to destroy it in Solo mode, should be accessible to majority of the population. Leave OPS, namely HM and NiM hard for the people who wants hard stuff and wants to group up. Thats the whole thing here. Leave it on challenging level, not on full retard. Heck, even with current ****** healing from the comps, it would be rather easy doable if they have SOME AI programmed properly to them...
  13. Level sync If you have level 50 toon, and go to Hutta, you will still level up. Previously, when you hit 5 levels above mission you get 6 experience for finishing it and 0 for trash mobs. Now, you get experience regardless of your current level (unless its 65 which means you are capped) since game will sync you to planet level, thus you will gain experience. New Gaming Experience I presume

  15. After almost 3 years of playing it, I actually consider to quit. I have about 10 sub days left, and never been close to letting it expire without renewal than any time before. Patches are silly, early access (been in Makeb, GSF, SoR, KoTFE so far so I'd say all of them) is more like closed beta than early access, no new operations, sledge-hammer "tweaks" and what not, are only pushing me to go f2p and do some H2 with my kid and our 2 comps which now will be almost one complete companion. Been fun, I love franchise, but this type of neglecting the fans and player base is beyond ridiculousness...

Hello Eric, since you have posted here this nicely written explanation, I really would like you to answer few questions (more of rhetoric, since I don't really expect answers to any of them) 1. whose idea was to OP companions? 2. whose idea was to sledge-hammer it down? 3. does any of above actually know how the mechanics works or they just slap in some numbers and call it a day? 4. explain to us please, how healing companion that is level 30 and do 1400 hps is "competitive" 5. are you planing to "tweak" it more, or you will just forget about it like you did with slot machine fiasco? Thanks P.S. Pics or it didn't happened. You have your stream, please show to us peasants how you solo H2+ Star Fortress, for example Nar Shaddaa one with your healing companion.
  17. Your complete attitude is rude to say at least. What here is hard to understand for you? The fact that Yoda is iconic character and that it would be retarded having 50000 people running it, is pretty much on the same level of stupidity as allowing people to have Skywalker, Kenobi, Windu or any other iconic legacy name. If you know how ingame skeletons and rigged bodies work, you would understand the issues with all visible attachments that comes to the specific body type or skeleton. You cannot simply scale it down and make it look nice. Current 4 body types already have issues with clipping and what not, and they are different by 10-15% maybe, now imagine introducing another body type and skeleton for it that will be 60+% smaller than smallest body type currently in game. Literally every item in game would need to be re-designed to fit that body type, thus it will never happen due to the time required in game itself for that kind of change. As of pod races, I doubt it will happen again due to technical issues. Do you know why your mounts run only at 110% of the regular speed? Because the engine cannot handle faster than that. Or at least not at the pod racer speed.

Fat "Har-har" Hutt was preorder bonus (meaning people who bought expac before released) got it, and Revan was never part of any pre-order bonus afaik, and I have paid 5 mil for my Revan on GTN. Same goes for Malgus and Satele trainers. Both cartel pack items. So clearly no issue here, get CM packs and hope for the best, or simply buy them on GTN. None of the statues were sold separately afaik anyway.
  19. Dear Bioware, thanks for bringing back old gear designs and in Legacy flavor. GG However, even that RNG is awesome way to make something, both in terms that "always works" and "never be mathematically supported", you have to admit that it is actually poor implementation of otherwise great idea. So please hear this suggestion (from the guy that currently opened about 100 of boxes, got mostly belts and bracers, and stuff that will never use). People are already fed up with lottery from CM, and its different, since if you don't like something from CM you can sell it on GTN. This is not the case with legacy bound drops from alliance crates. When you open 100 boxes, and no desirable piece drops, people will simply stop doing it. With that in mind here are 2 suggestions. 1. Introduce tokens instead of RNG lottery draws from alliance boxes. Similar as you have Gray Helixes, and Rakghoul containers. For this purpose lets call it Alliance token. Introduce 4 vendors (per faction since tokens should be legacy bound, so the guy that sells Agent gear, also sells Smuggler gear depending on the faction you are logged in). So instead of random piece of gear, you get 1 Alliance token for old legacy gear. From here you have 2 options - separate pieces of gear per class = which will give users awesome customization options by combining different pieces, but also clutter since I expect more than 200 pieces of gear per class. - boxed complete sets of gear, e.g. Boxed Tionese Boltblaster set which would contain of course complete set Price them accordingly, and price them expensive. E.g. single chest item would cost 50 tokens. Complete set would be like 500 or whatever. That way, people will still have to grind for the desired gear, but will actually know WHAT do they grind for. Currently people are grinding, have no idea for what they are grinding for (is it a chest, belt, bracers?). 2. If option suggestion number 1 is not viable for you, then for the love of God, make some sort of list of items you already have. So, if I have drawn Tionese Boltblaster chest, then please exclude it from all of my future RNG draws. RNG is one thing, but drawing 30 bracers, of which 12 are the same is not fun nor rewarding. You still have time sink, and people will still have clear picture for what they are mindlessly grinding crates. Yes, I will have to potentially draw 200 items before my desired item drops, but still know that I will eventually get it. Hope you will take this into consideration.

WP users (including myself) are crying for WP security key app. I have old Android phone lying around just for that purpose, since I don't want to mess with the Bluestacks and other stuff that I will not use for emulating 1 Android app. And yesterday I stumbled upon Reddit post where some random dude say that scheme is changed and that Microsoft Authenticator (the same that you use for Outlook.com) now also works with SWTOR. So I have removed my old Android app key from account, and tried with the new Windows Authenticator on my WP and voila - it worked! And yet there havent been single post about it on the forums from the devs/community managers about it. Heck, even the app is updated and they didn't inform us about it (simply send mail to the people with the mobile app attached to the account). Basically, for WP users (Lumia 1520 WP 8.1 Denim here) go to https://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/store/app/authenticator/e7994dbc-2336-4950-91ba-ca22d653759b and install if if you don't have it already. Login to SWTOR web and remove current Security key app (for me it was Android one on the other phone, which was super frustrating since I don't carry it with me all the time). Add account to Authentificator app, name it SWTOR under Account, and in bottom text box "Secret key" re-type set of characters that you have on website. Click Save button and it will start generating 6 number sequences ever X seconds (lets say 20 or so, but still enough time). Re-type generated numbers from App to SWTOR web to finalize the process.

  22. You... seriously... The guy asked what to do with his warzone comms. So far, if you are into PvP this is the best way to use them, since you dont need basic comms for pretty much anything and you dont want to be raped the moment you hop in end game pvp due to the lack of gear. Doing exactly what? Standing near the vendor while queuing for the PvP and eventually after some time sell/buy items? 10-15 minutes of trading time? Seriously? Are you visually impaired when you need 15 minutes to sell 40 items and buy them back in stacks of 3? But then again maybe he wants to waste his wz comms on some crap that he will never use, or never be able to sell for some reasonable amount of money... For me, wasting wz comms is just no, and I dont even need any math for that...
  23. Now Eric Musco will drop by and say "It's working as intended". Then in 2 days he will say that they have done extensive research and that community was right and that they are working on a fix. Since now datacrons are lying around ready to be clicked, they will come up with the fix in terms of invisible wall so that people can't simply "get them" and forget about achievements. Then, after realizing that people are jumping directly from the cliff, they will add another one. Then, after realizing that now nobody can get it, they will add "Now I had enough" ability that adds around them will have and execute if player don't have specific requirements met but will remove invisible walls. Meanwhile while fixing datacrons, they will break quick travel (again) and fleet and QT will be usable only once per toon, after that ability will be deleted from the character. They will assign guys from the datacrons to fix this instead while reverting datacrons bug to the current state, but will increase travel cost to Rishi (since you cannot go via quick access terminal for some very odd reason) by 250% AND add invisible walls again. Musco will come by again here and say that it is an exploit and that everyone who are getting datacrons for free without spending 54 hours collecting crap to actually unlock it the way they intended in the first place, and everyone will be banned for 24 hours to 7 days. Eventually, as final and ultimate fix, they will simply delete complete planet Rishi to fix it and avoid being exploited or used ever again for any future shenanigans. This is how Bioware fix things.
  24. Not in theory... It is working. And I know it is working because I have done it on one of my toons. I really don't know how to explain to you if you dont understand. It has nothing to do with the math or anything, just the fact to refresh timers on the damn weapons. Even better, here, its not working I was trolling you, you are right, and I was wrong. There. You feel better now? All you have to do is to setup alarm that will give you enough heads up to go and sell/buy weapons again to reset the timer. I know that some goody-two-shoes will go run and report this to the devs so that they will patch this up (its working like this since pretty much the beginning so its safe to assume it is working as intended, much like Slot machine... wait, I'll not go there) but there is no other use for WZ comms if you want to have half decent gear when you hit your level cap without being ridiculed by the elitists about your pve gear... At one point I think I had about 12 to 15 weapons stacked when hit 40, not really sure, which is like 11k comms. But again, I have no math to show you neither I am willing to "prove" anything to you or anyone else. Try it and see if its working or not, or if its better to waste it on basic comms which are crap. For someone who is doing PvP value of the basic comms is crap, while value of WZ comms is his bread and butter So to break it up for you. step by step 1. get 900 comms 2. get a weapon for 900 comms 3. put weapon in inventory 4. play pvp for 1 hour and 45 minutes 5. by now, lets assume you have 700 comms 6. sell the weapont from step 1 8. now you have 1600 comms 9. buy weapon for 900 comms leaving you with 700 comms and REFRESHED TIMER 10. continue playing 11. ????? 12. PROFIT!
