  1. Gotta say, that level 70 talent row is god awful. You're forcing players to choose between their best DCD or their hard stun (hydraulic overrides is w/e). Like.....why?
  2. Was the most replied topic on the PTS forum. Changes still went through.
  3. As the title says, the Kingpin's Lightstaff has the tuning going the wrong way on the backblade of the weapon. The tuning starts at the hilt, but extends up the hilt to the front of the weapon instead of back towards the backend of the weapon. Showing tuning directions: https://i.imgur.com/LJPzu9r.png What it looks like in game: https://i.imgur.com/KltenIv.png (only front blade has the tuning.) What it should look like: https://i.imgur.com/E4YVrl4.png (weapon used was Imperial E-1 Enforcer Dualsaber)
  4. Can only hope the devs have been listening and will have to wait and see for the 5.3 notes for Madness since it was on the list. As for lightning, I believe they've said they know it sucks right now. But as to how they wanna make it better, god only knows.
  5. I've yet to see any Sorc in pvp able to burst someone down. Hell I've yet to see a sorc put pressure on someone to the point they'd say "wow, i really need to do something about this sorc". Lightning -- the supposed burst spec -- does piss poor burst, crits that are well behind other specs of the same type even when exploiting the CL bug. Madness is in the same boat, it has no kill pressure. you can dot someone up with every DoT and a heal or 2 from a healer completely negates the damage.
  6. lol when #1 dps can crack 10k. yes...yes it is.
  7. yeah... that's Hatred/Deception Assassins. Just with a double bladed lightsaber. Also, there are people out there who like the DoT theme of Madness as it is. I'd absolutely hate it if they changed it to that. Considering I could just go play an assassin.
  8. I mean odd as in the way the player character holds the lightsaber while doing it, the animation is wonky, not that the feat of using both hands was foreign . The blade is almost smacking the character in the face because of how he holds it. The blade hovers in the hand and is angled in such a way that it almost clips through the head it's so close some times. Need some more ability animation updates soon.
  9. Gonna have to wait till 5.3 if anything. Cause for some reason BW refuses to do mini balances when maintenance happens. They let classes go for months and months and months without anything changing even if they're super OP or trashcan tier.
  10. I'm on the opposite side of the coin on this one. I'd rather my Sorcerer not even hold the lightsaber when throwing lightning around. Looks odd holding a lightsaber when using both hands to cast Force Lightning. Think Valkorian, dude blocks lightsabers with his force powers and waves his big Force-D around with giant Force Lightning attacks. Then there's Satele Shan during the cinematic trailers against Darth Malgus. That massive force attack to crush him against a wall. Could the animations be updated? Of course.
  11. Make Force Lightning free to cast. (removes negative force rotation) and add Force Lightning to the Force Mobility utility. Gives Madness some mobility when they hit 62 (or add it to Force Barrage at 56 so the utility doesn't become overloaded) so they can keep their rotation going during movement.
  12. Sad but true. It's why Blizzard has started doing stat templates for classes. It changes your character stats and ability stat ratios based on whether you're in PvE or PvP combat. That way a PvP balance change doesn't completely screw up their PvE balance and vise versa. It's something Bioware should consider doing so they can stop completely ruining a class spec when they nerf it in one area of the game that affects the other.
  13. "Congrats you can finally super crit...buuuuuut we're nerfing the base damage. Have fun!"
  14. I don't think the auto crit on Thundering Blast benefits from super crits either. which probably hurts it a lot.
  15. Bug has been around for a long time as well. Should just be made base line as part of a buff to the class spec.
  16. Will be interesting to see how they re balance PvP. Cause I see a lot of healers and those few outlying dps as god mode. Whether on my team or not i'll see a healer facetank 2-3 DPS and never drop below half HP. Whether that's due to overtuned healing or undertuned dps I'll leave to the experts to decide, but I see it enough to become noticable and it doesn't seem right, even through kicks and stuns. As for PvE i can only really hope they fix the sustained DPS trees for Assassin/Shadow and Sorcerer/Sage. I love playing Hatred/Madness but they have so many issues.
  17. I keep hearing their class balance devs are on vacation. Whether that's true or not I have no idea. But it would go a long way for a dev to pop in and at least say "yes, we know both the Sorc dps specs are in a really bad spot right now. But in house testing takes time" blah blah blah blah. I mean it's not like the very few remaining players who theorycraft the class haven't left tons of feedback about what's wrong with the class already >.> (hint: they have)
  18. I never understood that line of reasoning. Just because a DPS can heal itself, doesn't mean it should do less damage -- it's intended role/function. Even in PvP, if a dps is healing that just means they aren't putting out damage and are resource starving themselves in the process. Why would you take a dps that can heal to a raid but deal LESS overall damage when you have main role healers to do that job? If the bottom end classes aren't getting buffed. then nerf the top dps to lessen the dps gap between everyone. I'd prefer a buff since I prefer playing Madness, but it's so god damn bad with resources.
  19. "learning the class" doesn't magically fix the issues with the 2 DPS specs it has there buddy. And HAD being the key word, the buffs they received to make them good back in 4.0 era are all gone. Learn the class all you want, the highest theoretical dps for lightning/telekinetics is still dead last and well below the average and leagues below the top 4-5 dps class specs. I'd settle for Lightning being dead last if they'd ever finally fix Madness to not suck like it always has. As it stands right now, Lightning and Madness are at the very bottom of the list the class doesn't have one viable spec that isn't getting carried through content. I think Lightning dropped 4 ranks to hit bottom or something like that and Madness dropped 10 to hit 3rd last.
  20. Lightning is a burst spec that has abysmal burst when compared to the other specs of the same type. The only way it kinda sorta comes close is when it crits, when it procs the extra skill casts and when it exploits the instant Chain Lightning. Madness is a sustained dps class that doesn't do a whole lot of damage and has a negative force rotation. (it's been like this for how many updates now?) People saying "if they're part of a good team they're alright" make no sense. A class should be able to stand on it's own, not get carried by Merc/Marauder dps. Lightning is dead last in dps by a pretty large margin, something like 2.5-3k dps. The only saving grace seems to be the lack of new group content coming out on a regular basis, so anytime something new comes out the guilds that run it are fully geared and won't see the pit falls of a Sorc/Sage in their group, cause their other DPS are picking up the slack and it should never be like that. After Sorcs being god mode in...what... 4.0 was it? They were repeatedly nerfed over and over to bring them in line while the other classes were buffed at the same time. This ended up absolutely killing the class, putting its 2 dps specs at the bottom of the barrel. It needs to change. Not talking 4.0 levels again, but it does need to change so we can stand on our own again without needing other dps classes to pick up our slack. And having a Sorc be a battery for the other dps to do more damage is not the way to do it, nor is giving them a skill that requires them to stand still to start scaling their damage up, unless bioware wants to keep making stationary fights all day every day. No thanks to that.
  21. No... no, it's as bad as people make it out to be. Hell in PvE the gap between 1st place and Lightning/Telekinetics is something like 3k which is massive in this game. Why would you go "nah I'm gonna take the Sorcerer/Sage instead of <insert ANY class here> " for both PvE or PvP. The class is a joke right now and it NEEDS to be changed.
  22. "small buff" Dude, lightning/telekinetics is dead last on dps parses and madness/balance is 3rd last. Need a little more than small buff. I get that someone is always going to be last, but there's a pretty massive gap between 1st place and lightning/telekinetics
  23. Does the report feature even work anymore? I always get the pop up saying "there was an error submitting a report. try again later" or something to that affect.
  24. Unfortunately true. This game is becoming less of an MMO and more of a single player game you pay a monthly sub for. It's a little sad.
  25. After all the pack changes I refuse to buy them anymore. All this work on cartel packs, yet months and months go by with bugs and class imbalances that go unfixed or changed. If they're looking for more money to pay people to fix said bugs/class balance changes, the changes to cartel packs is not the way to do it. And in my opinion, a lot of the recent armor sets/weapons are god awful ugly. If I knew my money was being used to fix animations on a more consistent basis, i'd be willing to spend money again on packs. But so far I don't see it. It's been since launch and the assassin/shadow still use their double-bladed lightsaber like a single saber during cutscenes, it's hilariously bad. That's just one example of many that have been brushed under the rug and ignored since launch.
