heres the problem i have george. 1. Gabe bleeped up ilum so we dont have any open world incentive 2. I dont think you understand or comprehend that doing the same warzones 2 billion times to get this "gear" is just not worth it. I just cant do warzones 24/7 i can barely do 2 a day tops and your trying to make the game be warzone exclusive and the main pvp. So even if i get the gear im just so supose to do more warzones? come on this is just stupid lol. Youve taken my incentive to pvp out of the game with the warzone obsession. Btw i have champion gear and get destroyed just the same as without. The reason people are dying so fast is you wont fix consulars/inquistiors rotation cycle all those class do is spam lightning/rocks with next to no cd. 90% the playerbase is the 2 classes and guess why? There hella op and you guys think its ok to have those classes be that way so all the gear/expertise in the world is meaningless when u have 2 Nuker classes with a high dps skill on next to nothing cd and people chain stunning you for 2 or more minutes. Resolve is broken. The other reason is the cc im really dumbfounded that you guys didnt adress this in 1.2. You say you listen to us? The majority of people want expertise removed. The majority of people think lvl 1-49 pvp is better then lvl 50 pvp The majority of people think cons/inq need to do more then spam rocks/lightning (skill rotation) The majority of people want cc/chain stunning adressed. I dont care what you or gabe want for the game i care about what "us" the paying customers want and thier 2 very different things and the way i see it we appear to doing the game based on what you want? I though this game was made for the fans and what we want? Or this more bantha poo like the ranked warzones. This is why people are dying so fast regardless of what patch and how much expertise its all irelevant to till u fix chainstuns and cons/inq skill rotations. Prove me wrong take a poll. You guys need a serious wake up call quit screwing around and get this game going before its to late....

or we could have bioware get off thier butts and let you choose the bleeping warzone you want. Fixing 90% 5% losing 5% ld's If only bioware had fixed open world pvp first sigh....

how that god aweful looking gear got green lighted still makes me wonder lol. It seems to me that war hero gear is the same as how bm used to be. I didnt bother with bm gear b/c it's whole purpose was oh look at me in bm gear i can own those who dont have like lvl 40 npc's and theyll have no chance against me im the best! what a load of crap. Whats more shocking is the grind to get it and on top of it looks god aweful. I can not do wz's that much to even bother with gear i dont want. Seriously how gabe and james ohlen both have jobs is really shocking thier both liars and are both clueless. I think c-3po could do a better job and he wont be built for another 300 years or is it 3,000 dont remember lol.

What i find funny is how is it that the area's not lagging like in ilum lol. I seen more then 20vs20 in the area and it seems to handle it decently. I not sure what to think about this bieng called "open world pvp" theres no objective or anything but overall its better then nothing....

you cant adapt when your team leaves and its 2vs8 sure they might fill those slots but either way your screwed

The problem is you turned afker's into quitters.If theirs the slightest chance your side is going to lose the former afker's/bots just quit. Ive given up with warzones though every time ive tryed to be posiitive and do them its always some exploit or hackfest. This is why open world is better the people cant quit its fight or die.

no one is afk b/c thier just dropping the warzone at the slightest hint of losing. Which is why 3 of my friends who came back to try 1.2 unsubbed i owe them all 15 bucks = / It's "fixed" alright oh no huttball is 0/1 lets drop this and re que shakes head.

just to clarify gabe is in charge of 3 departments ops/flashpoint/pvp. Hes in charge of 3 depts. I have zero confidence in gabe he flat out lied at pax last year. Every other interview hes rambling about things he like to do while not realizing how its going atm.He think forcing the game into same faction pvp 50% of the time and higher is how star wars is supose to be. Dont matter whit gw2 and other games on the way that even if there crap games they will have decent functioning pvp especially open world pvp that this game does not have. James ohlen can wait for his technology but when he gets it will already be obselete and behind the times. Thats the worst possible thing you could say to a customer is your waiting on technology. Imagine if apple and microsoft had this as thier business model lol.

I think in 6 months to a year this game "might" be where its supose to be now. Minute i start getting my gw2 beta invite or weekend invites im gonna part ways and watch this game. I think dr phil said it best the best way to judge someones futures action is look at thier past actions and so far all ive seen is a huge amount of lies and PR and clusterbleep after clusterbleep. I dont know how this game's gonna survive when its asking a monthly fee and no real open world pvp and i know some people can have warzones be thier main pvp but i refuse to do that. I cant do those warzones more then 2 a day at the least. As for the gear i think all of this mess is b/c of the ranked wz not launching with this. What people that do play this game still with me are confused about the gear and what gear you can do this and that its just a mess and waste of time atm.

The main problem is we need a competent pvp development team. Not trying to be negative but i dont have much hope or confidence in a team that promises things they that cant deliver on. Then you have james ohlen saying were waiting on technology to fix faction imbalance/open world pvp. So going by what ive seen i dont feel to hopeful about things. To answer the question id say daoc/swg. We need pvp bases on other planets to thin out the fights. The main problem with ilum was the outnumbered side had no where to go except warzones....Why the dev team doesnt understand that is beyond me? We could be having open world pvp right now if we had pvp bases on other planets just sigh =/

I feel the same here. I think ill ride out this free month go from there. Overall though i see myself going to gw2 and giving it a try.I never really liked gw in general but i dont see this mess bieng fixed anytime soon.Nice thing about gw2 is no monthly fee and 100 times better pvp lol. If these guys spent 1/2 the time do saying best pvp team and we like to do this and wed like to do that and ACTUALLY fix thier mess things might get better. This current gear mess really turns me off to and i cant do warzones 24/7 and have that be my main bulk of pvp. Open world is just an "idea" at this point. When gw2 is out i cant see how people will justify paying a monthly fee for this instanced hackfest when you can go play gw2 for free and be doing rvr and open world. The overall problem with pvp in general is to much time is spent advertising things they dont have and poorly dealing with what they do have.The amount of PR spent on advertising things they dont have is really troublesome. 1.2 big selling point was this ranked warzone set up. I find it odd to come out at the last minute and cause that PR fiasco that they did lol I personally think they need to scrap this pvp team and bring some other people. the legacy does not inspire people most people already have 2 or more alts already. I have 4 why should i make more alts no matter how many alts i make im still going to get to no end game ill just have more alts to do nothing with no thanks. Believe it or not there are people playing this with the idea of pvp bieng end game sadly this is turning out to not be the case in general now.

This is how i feel. My main goal was to have open world pvp and have 50vs50 and more open world pvp fights. Instead like in lotro i got lied to through the teeth about that.I will most likely unsub next week im waiting to see if people come back for 1.2 from guild if not then thats it for me. Either way ill prob unsub play gw2 for the open world pvp and watch tor and see if they ever get off thier butts and get this game going. I agree about the bragging and PR gabe needs to shut the hell up and everyone else. This is 2 times now youve anounced pvp related things you dont actually have. Having james ohlen say thier waiting on technology is the worst possible thing you could ever say to customers about your game. I cant even begin to tell you how bad that made bioware look. They never tested ilum either. My main issue though is this "pvp" team or lack of. Can we all agree we need to move some people around. Gabe anounces at last years pax 100vs100 on ilum youll be amazed Here comes launch 1.1 major exploit patched the next day (i bugged the turret problem in beta 6 months ago) tons of imp in bm armor in 1 day Major valor farming going on ilum Ilum becomes instanced to accomadate lag 20vs20 is barely possible Ilum goes downhil from here Gabe saying in interviews he wants to try 40vs40 (after anouncing 100vs100 at pax pre launch) Gabe guild summit anouncing ilum revamp back to drawing board Gabe does another interview saying hed like to do rvr Do you notice anything here? Extreme inconsistency to say the least. You cant take anything worth a grain of salt with bioware ive learned sadly. What i notice is a HUGE amount of PR and lies on a regular basis. Maybe theyll learn from this to keep gabes mouth shut and everyone elses until they have an actual working game feature. It seems to work for gw2 i notice..... Ill give them credit for bug fixes and small fixes an adressing things in a timely manner. It would be nice to get an apology about ilum from gabe personally would be nice. As of know i hope people give gw2 a try and let bioware fix their mess while we do REAL pvp elswehere sadly

Personally i dont give 2 bleeps for warzones ranked or not but to advertise this like they did ilum just makes me more happy to move to elsewhere maybe in 6 months theyll get thier heads out of the sand when its gone f2p and 100k subs. Can anyone honestly disagree about james ohlen best pvp team comment? This game could have had so much potential but they just screw off and do bizzare off the wall things. I dont think anyone should be fired but i thinks its beyond obvious bioware needs to move some people around get some people who can get pvp in general going b/c i dont what else more we can do at this point to drive people off here.

you dont need cross server pvp just make more alts with legacy it will solve all your needs according to bioware.

what i dont understand is they blame everything on faction imbalance but wont tackle the issue head on instead they screw off with same faction crap. This is supose to be the best pvp team? All they had to do was put pvp bases on other planets that would have solved the faction imbalance by 80% alone but no its were going to solve this with instanced pvp?

this is why i didnt go nuts trying to get gear i had a feeling something was up. You think its coincidence they post this at the last minute lol. I cant figure bioware out very bizare crap they go and take a poll about how the new gear looks and 99% hate the looks yet the release it looking crappy? How cc and server transfers wasnt fixed in this patch beyond me. We need server transfers more then legacy or anything else. I have never seen a company screw off and do bizzare crap like bioware lol. This game could have destroyed wow and most other mmo's yet they spend there time with bad pr about things they dont have. normally i would agree but i havent seen arenanet promise anything myself. Doesnt mean they havent. I dont know if gw2 will better or worse to be fair. I know its got open world pvp that im willing to try based on 200 plus videos of it i seen lol. Who knows either way werent not gonna get it here with these tools
