  1. Necro time! This bug is still around. Bumping the thread mostly due to the workaround, which I didn't know - hopefully others will be able to utilize it, too.

Hello, my guild won Belsavis, and while I received the guild conquest rewards in email, I didn't get any of the following: - Conqueror of Belsavis Achievement - Conqueror of Belsavis Legacy title - Progress towards Galaxy Conqueror Achievement with Belsavis marked as complete. I'll submit an ingame ticket with reference to this thread. On a partially related note, I received about 10 "Conqueror of X" Achievements in an earlier script which I didn't earn. These Achievements neither grant the titles nor do provide progress towards "Galaxy Conqueror", and I'm afraid that if I earn the Achievements "rightfully", these "false" Achievements will block me from getting the title and the progress. From what I heard this is not an issue unique to my account - please have a look at it, too.

    In midbies, I see plenty of levels 50-59, but only a few levels 30-49, so from that point your argument makes sense. Now, the question is why is that so? Because leveling 30-49 is much faster? Or because the levels 30-49 don't bother queueing, knowing well enough they would be mostly a fodder for egos of the 51-59? I honestly don't know the answer, but I'd love to. And based on the answer, the redistribution of the tiers could actually be benefical and sensible.

From the NYCC Q&A: If the developers do want to keep the class/weapon restrictions, so be it; however, it's not the first time they back up the decision with the underlined argument, and I always found that argument ridiculous. Then again, I play PVP very very casually, so my judgement likely isn't the best. Hence my question: If the class/weapon restrictions would be partially or fully removed, how much impact would it have on your gameplay? Would you barely notice it, or would you be suddenly hopelessly lost, or something inbetween? Or, it would depend on the type of the change? - for example: - Operative using Blaster pistol - Guardian dual-wielding sabers, and Sentinel with single lightsaber - Powertech with Blaster rifle and animations mirroring the Vanguard ones (where rifle is used) Thanks in advance for replies

    This is spot on. As level 30+, you won't be able to regularly defeat levels 50+ (ignore the empty "I'm naked level 30 and I kill levels 59 in my sleep" epeening) but that doesn't mean you cannot contribute. Guard pylons, doors, bunkers and turrets, call incomings and delay the attackers, and help/intercept the ballcarrier. Dirty work, yes, and you won't be the shiny nr.1 DPS on the scoreboard, but you should get enough medals and if your team is worth something, they'll appreciate your effort. The only problem are arenas where indeed your contribution will often be reduced to punching bag. Oh well, nothing's perfect.
  6. Well, meh. The ongoing and what's worse repeated issues with Conquest put your developers in very bad light. I'm still willing to give a degree of benevolence, but the way the (hot)fix is being handled is quite unprofessional, or at least makes quite unprofessional impression. Also: please remember that if you are going to grant the rewards retroactively, you have to grant up to four things in total: 1. The actual rewards (Scaps, Encryptions ...) 2. The Achievement(s) (for Personal goal, and for Conquering a planet if Top Spot) 3. The Legacy Title (if Top Spot) 4. Progress towards the "Galaxy Conqueror" Achievement (if Top Spot) Lately I witnessed situations where only the first and/or second were granted, while the third and fourth are primarily why many people participate in Conquest.
  7. I'm both baffled and disappointed. First you removed the Makeb Staged weekly Achievements, but offered an unique decoration in return. The reactions were pretty much positive/OK. Next you "removed" the EV and KP Nightmare Achievements, but instead of actually removing them you are going to place them in a special section. The reactions were positive/OK again (the negative ones are related to the removal of the mode itself, not to the Achievements). I simply cannot understand why you don't take the experience from these previous cases, and instead decide to go a route which is all but guaranteed to annoy people? Oh and if the intention is to get rid of unobtainable Achievements (credit where credit is due, I appreciate the reintroduction of old events gear!) I expect all of the Party Jawa Achievements to be gone in 4.0, one way or the other.

I have a somewhat different question: What happens with the "Gathering Decorations" (current conquest reward) which produce the materials being removed in 4.0 (for example, Neutronium Speeder Parts)? What happens with the Prestige which they provide(d)? And if they and their associated Prestige are being removed, will that have any influence on previously obtained Prestige Achievements?
  9. Personal attack makes for a poor argument. The usual respawn rate is between 4-5 minutes I'd like to propose something. When the expansion hits, take a downleveled character of your choice to a planet of your choice and stream/post video of riding around on a speeder (of your choice); if the video will be 10 minutes long, and only 2 minutes of it you will be on the speeder, I'll concede the point.

  11. The 25 points for Galactic Beastmaster isn't a bug; there's another, hidden Achievement worth 25 points in the Location/General/Exploration section. See here. Agree/concur on the rest.
  12. PVE Concealment Operative here: The new active is pretty cool, it will be nice to have a gap closer which doesn't "waste" our best defensive cooldown. The new passive is OK, although somewhat boring. The new utilities are completely useless (in PVE). I politely disagree. The 30% more damage absorbtion in decent and a solid choice, although often superseded by other Heroic utilities. The 5% heal, which loosely translates into "2,5k healed every 30 seconds", is utterly pointless. Merging these two into one (Heroic) utility won't change its popularity in the slightest - it will still remain the decent, but often superseded choice.
  13. After reading this, I immediately respecced my Vanguard to Plasmatech and went to Makeb. There I killed the neutral standard Makrin, neutral elite Makrin, hostile standard Makrin and hostile elite Makrin, with the final hit always being either Incendiary Round or the DoT from Incendiary Round (I tried both on each type of the mob). My progress with "Kill it with Fire" is still 0/100. Would you kindly a) Post/link a picture showing your progress on the Achievement b) State where exactly did you kill the mobs, what kind of mobs they were, and what kind of attack/DoT you used to kill them c) Confirm that you aren't confusing the Achievement with "Kindling for the Fire" (Defeat 250 Makrin on Makeb) Thank you

  15. There is no cap on Achievement points. Could you please list specific Achievement(s) which you got and which did not contribute to your total score?
  16. This is pretty much how I did it as well. Key informations being: - 3 spawn points with respawn timer around 5 minutes - the 160k version instead of the 500k one - the 160k version doesn't have CC immunity! Did it as Concealment Operative with Lokin (me optimized 192 with full set bonus, Lokin in 192 Commendations gear). I adjusted my Utilities for Defense - took Sedatives (= basically 50% DR for 10 seconds) Med Shield, Augmented Shields and Revitalizers, used Flashbang to heal some damage via Kolto Probes, and heavily utilized Heroic Moment (if off cooldown) and the Unity legacy ability. Basically I always burned it down before I ran out of all the DCDs, because there was no chance Lokin would outheal the incoming damage. If at some point I ended with 3 500k Monoliths, I simply left and returned another day. Usually by then at least of them was dead and replaced with the 160k one again.
  17. Happened to me just few days ago, the Flashpoint in question was Tython HM. Turned out one person in our group (can't remember if they were leader or not) had also the Solo daily mission or Tactical version of Tython active. We fixed it somehow with changing leaders/switching phase difficulty.
  18. One main and seven alts (to cover each base class) All eight are level 60 Not really; I only made the 7 alts because of Achievements, and only play them when there's an Achievement which only they can get

Situation: 1) GF pops 2) All 4 people click ready 3) The window shows ready, the timer keeps running, there's no "Travel to destination" 4) The timer expires and you are "Placed on top of the GF queue" without being offered another pop with the same group Any fixes/causes/workarounds please?
  20. Most of my PuG runs of HM Blood Hunt were successful and uneventful; what surprises me is that in the few cases when things went wrong, the problem seemed to be the tank. In such cases, there were things like aggro all over and/or boss running back and forth around the whole place, however some of that I experienced also in the good oneshot runs; the true issue was that in the bad runs, it seemed as if the tank was doing zero DPS. I'm not lying; it was like 3-4 attempts where the boss always enrages at 10% or more, no matter what we do. Then the tank leaves, we get a replacement one, and suddenly it's a more or less comfortable kill with enrage nowhere in sight ...
