  1. I actually like Lana and have multiple characters romancing her. And if I play one of those characters who has her as a LI it is great to have so much interaction with her. But if I play any other character that romances someone else or even no one I get annoyed too to see her being put in the spotlight so much. Because then I really start to notice how much she is around. It doesn't matter that she is written to be the most loyal loveable companion ever - we have different characters that we play with different mind sets and for some Lana is not the best friend or LI and maybe even constantly doing things she does not approve of. To have Lana in those cases still acting as best friend is strange and not appropriate. I mean they added more options even with Koth where you can be like a friend to him or doing things that upset him with him acting quite differently if you do so compared to if he sees you as friend. But with Lana you don't have this kind of development. This is bad writing in my opinion - again the writers fault. They don't seem to understand that people and/or the characters they play might still not like Lana or at least prefer to have some other companion/NPC getting some deserved attention too - which in my opinion makes it feel like they force Lana on me/us (for those who feel the same). This forced feeling is what is becoming an issue for me. Back then people complained that Kotfe/Kotet was the Theron and Lana show and wanted kill options or at least to have their screentime reduced - which was kind of understandable seeing that we had to wait for all other companions/LIs such a long time (and are still waiting for some). The writers decided to give Theron a kill option but not Lana. They decided other things too even where no one was asking for. I don't recall anyone asking for a Khem Val romance or to get kill options for Torian or Vette. So I don't see this as the fault of people asking for kill options. It was the writers choice - they are responsible for the story. But I get the impression they don't mind adding kill options for companions they don't plan to use anymore. And I doubt we will see more of our returned companions in the future. We can be happy if we get a letter from them or are allowed to at least use them in flashpoints and are not forced to take certain companions with us. I was really annoyed when I could not use Theron on some characters when I did the star fortress flashpoints. To say they have to use Lana because no one else is left is not a reason - they just introduced a new story line with new characters. The reused existing NPCs - so yes, they have other options. Although I have Lana as LI on several characters I agree that she is overused and like to have her screentime reduced too - she and Theron (which is the LI for a lot of my characters too) had much screentime the past years and while I do like to see more of both in the future I want more content for the other LIs as well (and preferably non LIs too). I know that this is only possible in a limited way - I mean they did add the romance options for LS Jaesa and Nadja and Khem Val but I don't expect much development there after the alert - same with Arcann. At least they should give us letters - I doubt we will get whole scenes for our LIs though. So to be fair I would rather have a clean slate and the same treatment for all LIs meaning if I don't get new content for Theron or Aric or Vector or who else I don't want it for Lana either. I don't mind if they add some flirts with new companions in tlhe future but I think it might be good to have no new LIs (except maybe adding some romance option to still returning companions such as Kira and Scourge and Zenith) and just focus on developing the story. It is in my opinion better than neglecting all other LIs. To have them only focus on Lana and no one else is even me getting more and more annoyed with this character and resenting the story development - because it is forced. And having her as a quest giver and in so many chapters not playing the content to avoid her is like not playing the game at all. Might not mean much for people that only play Swtor for PVP or OPS or whatever, but for the story. Of course we have to use our head canon quite often but with Lana it comes a point where there is only so much that you can ignore. So yes, I think she is overused and we need some fresh new development here with reduced screentime for Lana and Theron and equally content for all LIs. None of what happened is the fault of the people - only of the writers who should know what they are doing and stop forcing characters on all of us that we can't ignore if we want to progress the story. I understand that other Lana fans don't agree with this and want the most content with her that is possible - but it really is unfair to have Lana so much in the focus of this game without being able to ignore her if you want to proceed with the story and compared to other LIs that don't get so much screentime. It doesn't matter if companions can be killed - they already said it is not a reason to have no more content for them. So this is not a reason for having her being present so much - for me it just shows that the writers love her so much that they want to use only her all the time - but this is not fair to other companions and players who don't love her equally much. Not that the writers might care about that - maybe if people would really unsub about it but who knows. I just know that it leads at least for me to cases where I am not happy with the story and don't want to proceed with it although it is the only reason for me to play this game. So I have to decide if it is worth for me to continue playing this game depending on what is going to happen.
  2. Actually there is only one Chiss in this bundle according to the decorations preview. The Sith Intelligence Cipher is a human (or cyborg) male, the Watcher is a human female and only the Keeper is a Chiss. And there is additionally an imperial commando which is a human female. Anyway - whatever this bundle is called I am happy to get more NPCs for decoration and I am especially happy about Chiss so I am actually a little sad it is only one Chiss in this bundle.
  3. Oh thank you I hadn't seen it! I was happy to see Arcann in the Vulkk stream but didn't know we get romance stuff for him as well. Wow - didn't expect that. Oh it is a cutscene? I thought they would do this only with a letter, but nice to have cutscene too. Although this makes it even harder I think? Because you see the face and hear the voice.... And to be honest I try to avoid break ups in the game, it just makes me so sad, although I totally understand why people would do that and that it works for their character development. I guess there are certain limits to my role playing. Oh he looks good - I immediately thought about how to rebuild him as one of my characters... I read earlier that the hair seems to be available and the face is an existent one too I think. Only the eyebrows and cyber enhancements might not be there for us.
  4. And doesn't she send a letter in kotfe saying she has found someone else?
  5. Uh, sounds interesting - can you link a screenshot or tell us what he is saying? I saw the Vulkk stream yesterday but I will only play it myself on the weekend - and probably with my Theron girls first. And with my Arcann girl I first have to do the copero fp I think. But I was really happy to see that they included this short scene with Arcann. Better than nothing.
  6. If you take Theron back with you you can see that he is standing up and walking (although with help from Lana). You don't see them applying a med kit or something else first. And they don't have to show these seconds where they leave - they could just have faded to black and you see Theron and Lana again on Odessen. Based on this Theron should still be alive when you see him drop his head - maybe resignation as someone said earlier but in the LS choice scene he is able to walk so I don't see why in the DS scene he should die seconds later. And while Satele might be too far away to help there might be still other people from the order alive - even if you kill everyone you encounter some might be hidden or outside your reach. They might keep him alive and taken as prisoner... I am not sure but every other companion death in kotfe/kotet is done actively by the player right? Why would they change it for Theron? And I agree, Sateles letter means nothing - people (even Jedi) can lie. Everyone is free to believe what they like but I am personally not convinced he his dead. I don't know if this means he will return for everyone (even if you choose to leave him behind or send him away on Odessen) but I hope we will at least see something from him in the future for those who spared him.
  7. Congratulations! I wish you and your future wife all the best!
  8. Yes I think you are right - I watched it again and she really has that shield/bubble around her and the agent moves forward until the pistol reaches within the shield so I guess this is really the reason for it. Maybe she was weakend or they failed to make the gameplay and cutscenes show how much stronger she is now - I mean they do show it just not during the fight on Odessen. They could have made the fight harder - similar to the end fight in chapter 9. You have two companions with you compared to chapter 9 where you might have Lord Dramath or no one (except the healing circles).
  9. For me it depends on the character that I will play the story with. I have several Jedis that are all about forgiveness so they will have no problem with taking him back as long as they get the impression he is on their side (which I assume because I think he is just doing his agent stuff). There might be some trust issues however but they would not kill him. They would not even kill him even if he really did betray them - they have to make sure he can't do anymore harm of course but would try to catch him without harming him. I have some pragmatic Siths that see him as an asset - if he really was trying to help and not really betraying the Alliance they will look over that because they see it as getting results by doing any means necessary - similar to how they do it themselves. They have survived worse things and even him messing with Chiss politics might lead to a possible alliance with the Chiss. So it depends a little on how much further harm he might do. If he really did betray the alliance they will kill him. For the other characters I have it depends on his motives and how much harm really is done and which harm maybe prevented by his actions. Most of my characters would not kill him because he was a friend and ally and acting for a noble goal (if his intentions are really bringing peace to the galaxy) although maybe done in a bad way. So they might be hurt and not just forgive + forget everything but this isn't enough to kill him. Killing him would only be an option if he would keep his intentions of harming the alliance and the PC and they could not apprehend him without harming him. And yes, I might have one or two characters that would kill him just for doing this stunt without informing them.
  10. If you want to romance him already before Kotfe and have the romance active during Yavin you should at least take the flirt when you are about to leave for Yavin. The one after the meeting with Satele and Dart Marr - Lana and Theron will ask you if there is something else and you can say you want to speak with Lana or Theron first or leave to Yavin without talking with them. You don't need to flirt with Lana or Theron before that to be able to take this flirt as far as I know - because I never flirted with Lana and had still the flirt option with Lana too. But I would recommend to take at least the flirt option when you rescue Theron - not that it is necessary but I think it fits to show some development between PC + Theron before you have then the flirt with kiss. Otherwise it would come really out of nowhere. If you don't take this flirt there is no romance dialog on Yavin but you can still romance Theron in Kotfe in chapter 9 - there you have to take the flirt option in the cantina to speak with Theron and then you can start the romance there.
  11. Yeah, the wound isn't as you said for everyone but I guess the carbonite poisoning might have affected the outlander. Although that was quite a fast recovery - the PC gets the injection and is fine to fight along Lana. But I liked that they showed at least a little bit weakness from the outlander in some cutscenes during the escape. I do like if they impact the gameplay a little bit too - like when you get the wound from Arcann. I really would like to know what was planned when they still thought they had more time to flesh everything out. Because the chapter with Satele and Marr isn't enough for me to explain that *now* because of this experience the PC is finally strong enough to beat Arcann and Vaylin. I didn't get the impression that Arcann was that much stronger during the fight on Asylum. Just the PC being stupid. The first time the PC is distracted and HK is sacrificing himself, the second time the PC is distracted by Valkorion (if the powers are not taken) and Arcann uses this moment. And while Vaylin was so much stronger and wiping the floor with the PC during the fight on the gravestone, after her being free of control she seems far much weaker in my opinion. And there was just Iokath and Nathema happening in between - nothing that would indicate that the PC is getting stronger. And during the end of the fight on Odessen when she is trying to destruct everything - I get that they want to make it dramatically looking but to be honest - I am just wondering why my Agent has to step forward to shoot Vaylin and not just shoot her from where she is standing (not that far away anyway and Vaylin isn't even moving). And any light saber user could just throw the light saber I guess? Oh more fan fiction, thank you so much! Looking forward to see more of it and I really like how you describe the reactions of the other alliance members. This is what is really missing in the game. And I am curious to see how Arcann can win her heart over poor Theron though....
  12. Exactly this for me at least. Although animal companions or robot companions would be ok because they don't have dialog or story relevance anyway. But if others are happy with having an empty shell companion without dialog and story then I wouldn't mind if they would add an option to obtain them. I am always for more options.
  13. They don't have to die - they just need to find a better way for the future story that there isn't just Theron + Lana as our main quest givers and forced companions. I mean I like them and therefore I do want some content for them in the future but having just these two as main companions and quite often being forced as companion is just tiresome.
  14. I think you can do this if you replay the FP because then they remove the story cutscenes. At least with Copero I think I could run with a different companion and didn't had to use Temple. But well, of course for the story they had to take her - I mean it is the easiest way for them - just a single companion to be voiced and not all others too that you might take. Although T7 would have been even easier + less expensive (no voice actor) but I do think Lanas reaction on Nathema as force user and having been there with you and being more involved with Theron makes more sense compared to T7 to be honest. But yes, I too would prefer to have more variation (preferably the corresponding LI) regarding companions during story chapters or FPs. And there is still the question which role Lana played. I mean if she is really in this together with Theron she is the best actress ever.
  15. Ah thank you, I only knew about Sam but I don't really know which other writers (except Charles) have been writing kotfe/kotet and if they are still around (Sam isn't but do we know about the others?). I think Charles said in a stream they are normally even 1 year ahead of released content. But maybe that changed during time. Anyway, I don't think he was planned to be a LI from the start - he is clearly the antagonist. I just wanted to say that based on Charles comment in the stream (and I think it was during kotet) and comments from Sam it sounds to me that they had at least thought about that sometime before and not just got the idea when people reacted positively on Arcann becoming a companion.
  16. Arcann might not have been meant to be a LI right from the start of kotfe but as I said - I watched the stream but I have to look for it because right now I don't know which one it was - they obviously thought about it before we even knew Arcann would be a companion. They do plan some time ahead - they had to think about how Arcann would look under the mask hence the remark regarding "kissable lips" - they thought about how bad his injuries are and if he would still be attractive to people. They would probably not done it however if people hadn't shown interest in him being a LI. But even his writer was very interested in having him as LI - it was surely not her decision - something like that has to be approved by Charles and other higher people because it takes resources and therefore money, but it was surely discussed before. So I wouldn't say he was never meant to be a LI - sometime during production they discussed and thought about him being a potential LI. Doesn't mean they really planned to do it in any case.
  17. We don't really know when they decided to make him a LI - I know Charles said in a stream sometime ago when he saw people asking for a Arcann romance (and I think it was after kotet came out and it was clear that Arcann was recruitable) that they were thinking about if he has "kissable lips". So they had to think about him being a possible LI even before we saw Arcann without his mask in kotet. And no one is forced to romance Arcann. If people feel there is not enough to justify having him as LI or simply don't want him then they don't have to romance him - others may be fine with what they got or use head canon. He is the only companion LI with the least romance amount but I have little hope to get more for him. Maybe a letter if we are lucky. But again - I am glad we got at least our romance cutscene.
  18. Well Jango and Boba Fett weren't really known for talking too much, just saying - so I don't think it is a typical Mando thing.
  19. We can be happy that we at least got the 3 minutes cutscene - Arcann can be dead after all and he is still kind of an exception that they provide such a content for a character that can be killed. We know that they have a resource problem - they had to scrap the story together. Maybe it was planned more because there is seriously much missing but they did what they could to wrap things up. And don't forget that not everyone is interested in Arcann. To have a large portion of the story about him and the outlander falling in love was never to be expected. There are already too much companions and LI and romance was always more a nice to have addition and not a focus point. Of course more reaction from the alliance and rest of the galaxy about a spared Arcann would have been very badly needed and maybe additional options to deal with Arcann ( sparing him but maybe exile him or put into prison...) but again - resource problem. That being said - I have no problem to head canon a relationship developing. Arcann does give some hints in his e-mails (e.g. "I have you") that can be interpreted in different ways. You can romance Arcann directly after Kotet or later - I think I prefer after Iokath because it gives Arcann + the PC more time to spend together and to develop a relationship. I think the last chapters of kotet all feel very fast paced (especially after recruiting Arcann). But to be honest - even with all the flirts that we get with Theron I have to use some head canon to make the romance work with an Imperial PC. On Rep side it works I think but on Imp side he is understandable cautious and even a little hostile - I think he only really changes when you show up to rescue him.
  20. Ah ok I think it might depend on if they already know if Nathema is healing or not. I mean I didn't expect Valkorions death to have such an impact that Nathema is now healing. Maybe there is more to that I don't know. If Arcann still thinks the planet is like it was before then I am not sure if he would risk it. If they know that the planet is changing I think he would be curious about it and want to see it for himself. He was once on Nathema so I guess this would be interesting for him.
  21. But the next flashpoint is supposed to be the one where we wrap up his story arc - and they said there will be a bit of story first on a spacestation, then the flashpoint I think and after that again a little bit story cutscene again. So we will definitely see Theron there again - question is when - at the beginning, during the flashpoint or at the end?
  22. Might even be that we meet Theron at the beginning and are running around with him on Nathema. Or we just reunite with him at the end - then I guess we have Lana running around with us like the first time on Nathema.
  23. I think he would accompany us now that Nathema starts to heal. Maybe we can have him as a companion running around with us if we are not forced to have a single companion (likely Lana) with us but I don't think we get any dialog from him.
  24. Well the question is how much the writers had fleshed him out - not just that he suffered under Valkorion but about hobbies or interests and so on. We only have the trailers and some codex information. Maybe they planned to show more as they thought they had more time but then we all know they had to try to wrap the story together. I always wonder if they all lived in the palace where we are in chapter 6 of kotet (at Vaylins Party) or if everyone had a palace of their own? If they had often parties (with or without arena fights? Duel rings/arena fights seem to be popular on Zakuul). So many questions. Well I guess for that we have fan fiction What you describe about what I mentioned with the touching on Asylum (not Odessen sorry) is very well thought, thank you! I think when he holds Thexan in his arms in the trailer before he gets saved by Senya later is the last time we see him touch someone. I really like how they show when you recruite him the interaction between him and Senya - how they are holding hands and care for each other. Senya left when they were just children and Valkorion ignored them and wasn't a caring father figure. So no hugs or affection from parent side and then Vaylin was taken away, that must have been hard on the children too. And regading your fan fiction: thank you, I will check it out, doesn't matter how much Arcann is in it. I like that you are really putting thought into the characters. Different question: was Senya married to Valkorion? I got the impression they were just together without marriage. But in chapter 9 of kotet she calls him husband - so I guess they were married and she just kept her name? Do they even have marriage on Zakuul? I guess Valkorion doesn't even have a family name? Of is Tirall maybe the family name?
