  1. I'd love to have a log of players/alts invited to the guild and who /gquit. Right now, if no one happens to be online when someone leaves, it's hard to keep track in a huge guild.
  2. Updates would be great, thank you. Please don't break Infiltrator Shadows, I love their new(ish) stabby stabby goodness after a few years of being pretty underpowered in PvE.
  3. Thank you for all your work for all of this. It has been very helpful to me. May you enjoy many more games.
  4. As far as I know, we don't have a thread on Enjin. The administrators built our own website, so we don't use Enjin's boards for our forums.
  5. So sort of like an alliance of guilds for RPing, where each guild does their own thing but might get together periodically for large group activities?
  6. Thank heavens for the help with the hard mode flashpoints! I might be able to get the DvL legendary. If I can quit dawdling on stories.
  7. Thanks, and please thank the devs for me for their hard work. I know it's not fun.
  8. Ep 21 There are lots of restrictions when it comes to playing as a non-paying preferred player. This episode covers what to do before you transition from subscribing to preferred mode. It offers tips to use as a preferred player, especially when it comes to the credit cap, PvP, operations and flashpoints.
  9. We completed the Dread Fortress Operation last night. Those Dread Masters are history!
  10. I need to buy stock in drool buckets after seeing this thread.
  11. Older Republic and Older Empire are now over on The Shadowlands after the mergers! If you enjoy gaming with an older crowd, we're having a good time enjoying the game and socializing with fellow 'well-seasoned' gamers!
  12. I had someone stalking me in game one time after we kicked him from our guild for guildmate abuse. The guy changed toon names a couple times, and sent really creepy whispers to me in game talking about my kids, how horrible a mother I was, where he could find me, and so on. I'd put one toon on /ignore, he'd start another one and start all over again. He harassed me in game and on two other forums. It took me 6 reports including screenshots of the abusive whispers (which were full of expletives and insults), and finally a tweet to @swtor to get the ticket escalated and the problem solved. So, I get the 'creeped out' factor here. Screenshot everything, and send those screenshots to support@swtor.com and also make an ingame report.
  13. Besides the links to Ray and Greg's retirement blog posts here, Aaryn Flynn posted that BW is going to develop another game on a new engine, which suggests something beyond TOR/ME/DA. http://torwars.com/2012/09/18/greg-zeschuk-and-ray-muzyka-retire-from-bioware/ I find it very interesting that this isn't listed as major news or even a sticky on the site, unless I missed it (possible since I haven't had enough coffee yet this morning).
  14. Yes, more quickbars, please! I do use all my skills and buffs, and I like them showing, even if it's on a spot that's 'out of the way' on my screen for the less frequently used items.
  15. I will agree that resolve is still quite broken. Our Sage guildmates repeatedly complain of the same problem--full resolve bar, still getting stun-locked and killed. It is Not Fun when that happens.
  16. Hmm--I'll have to wait to see if this helps the annoying stun-locking of Sages or hurts them even more. Only gameplay time will tell. I can't wait to try out the new Shadow skills, since I run Infiltrator spec all the time. It'll make this class more desired in PvP. I enjoy the Infiltrator Shadow too much to respec over to Combat just for one aspect of the game. Stealth SHOULD be a viable strategy in PvP, and right now, it's not viable in the least.
  17. Don't let level 50 PvP turn you off when you first start. It's very frustrating to get one shot a lot until you get a few Battlemaster pieces. Then it gets a lot better.
  18. This is probably already addressed somewhere, but I didn't see it, and I don't have enough coffee in me yet this morning to clear the fuzz from my brain long enough to search. So, my suggestion: Please add more character slots, or the option to buy more character slots!! Eight is just not enough for me, especially with the legacy perks. Since I write the Consular weekly for TORWars, I have both a Sage and a Shadow. I had a tough time deciding which class _not_ to play, and that was no fun. I really would love to try out the different stories from a male and female point of view, and also have different options for the different advanced classes. This would give lots of options for flexibility at end-game, too. People could switch out toons more easily based on what a group might need for an Operation, Flashpoint, or Heroic, for instance. It would also give altoholics like me the opportunity to play through the stories multiple times without having to start on different servers. I can't bring myself to delete one toon after spending all that time leveling him or her up just to start another. I happily paid for extra character slots in Guild Wars (I have 18 alts there--and I know there are people who have even more). While I'd love to have extra character slots for free, I know it does take extra server space and that costs money. I would happily pay for extra character slots if given the opportunity and the cost was reasonable.
  19. I have lifetime subs for STO and LOTRO, and love both, even though I don't play either very often. I did get my money's worth out of both, however, and I like that I can still log in at any time and not worry about whether I need to enter my credit card yet again. I'd buy a lifetime sub in a heartbeat.
  20. I totally hear you. I've been in love with Star Wars ever since I saw it in '77. If you're on the Corellian Run server and want to join a good-sized group of older players, just type in /cjoin Older (in either faction), give us a shout in the Older chat channel, and we'll be happy to give you more information. We're Republic-heavy, so if you don't get an answer right away on the Imp side, we might all be over on the Rep side doing some PvP or questing. Feel free to click the guild link in my signature for our forum.
  21. Older Republic and Older Empire are over on Corellian Run.
  22. First, if you're spending time doing your homework in college instead of gaming, kudos to you. School comes first. Why do I game? Because even I have some time to chill out and relax in the evening after work/family duties/home chores/gardening/writing/etc. I need to be home on school nights to make sure the kiddos eat right, do their homework, and get to bed on time, and gaming lets me pause or stop in a safe place to make sure that all gets done. The shows they produce on TV now are by and large complete and utter crap. The symphony in town only has a performance once a month (but man, are they ever OUTSTANDING--Carmina Burana ftw!!!), so it's not like I can go to that every night. I can't afford to go out to a lot of movies. I love reading and do a lot of it, but I need people-interaction, too. With MMO gaming, I get better quality entertainment, and I can game in my PJs til 2am, it's cheaper than a movie, and I can interact with other people in the gaming community, most of whom are really cool people. I even play with my kids, so we have family time together when we're not doing stuff outside in the summer.
  23. The Older Republic made the switch over to Corellian Run. We did lose some inactive folks in the server transfer, but we still routinely field a good dozen to two dozen online depending on time and day. We're still adding members on a regular basis, too, to help keep membership strong.
  24. In the Older Republic, foul language is right out, as are racist/off-color jokes. Too many of us have kids in earshot. Now, mind you, a few naughty swear words might escape our lips late at night after some wine and fierce PvP battles.... However, we strive to keep it clean.
