  1. Sounds to me like you misconstrued my post, the reason I stated that I was not a guild leader nor interested in becoming one is because the idea revolves around a conglomerate of guilds so I figured it relative to include that I do not own one, and contrary to what you claim, so it did not look like I was just trying to expand a guild of my own. I do not see there being any benefits/fame given for something like this. I'm aware of the different mechanics many guilds have, the suggestion is a place for guilds to find like-minded guilds to role-play with and to help small guilds get on their feet by having interesting things to do in the developing months of them. It is not that I am trying to unite stories, it is that the option would be there and if somebody were not interested they choose to not be a part of it. I've since learned of some public strongholds and forums where this type of thing takes place which I will be checking out and maybe in the future do something like the original post if I can be bothered. I agree with you about the globalised government, however
  2. Hi everybody, I was thinking earlier today about the lack of open and cross-faction role play that occurs on our server and thought I would post this here. Essentially, this post is a suggestion to unite guilds of varying purpose and role-playing focus under one big body, whether it be The Republic or The Empire or another body that is non existent in character. The guilds would be independent yet partnered with other guilds operating under the same body, strongholds and flagships could possibly be used as hubs. Something like this could help the small, starting guilds that might have interesting ideas but lack members or other guilds to roleplay with and be helpful in organising cross faction story-arcs and warfare. It would also help guild story-arcs find other guilds to play roles in their story-arcs or even have cross guild stories and for non conventional (Businesses, Mercenaries, Governments etc.) or neutral guilds to have some other guilds to interact with. I realise that this idea may well have already been put into practice and failed (or had success which I do not know of?) but it's worth a shot and if people show enough interest maybe it could happen. I am not a guild leader and have no interest in running a guild but could assist in setting this up, if necessary.
  3. The Free Trade Network (We recruit characters who roleplay as civilians with our Independent rank and set a member note telling what occupation they are, for Civilian roleplayers who have a hard time finding a guild.) The Free Trade Network is a newly founded company of neutral traders seeking to turn a Profit in times of war through trade partnerships with both parties of the Empire and Republic. On the Surface they follow Republic Law and abide by protocol but behind the scenes The Free Trade Network hires Smugglers and Underworld Traders, due to this they have need for a Security branch who are more like Bodyguards than anything else. The Free Trade Network currently has three public listed branches and two shadow branches: The Representative Branch, who handle marketing, advertisement, public relations, complaints, negotiations and organising trade partnerships. Lead by the Chief Marketing Officer, Winni'Shiqa. The Trading Branch, who transport the desired items bringing in the profit, they also organise trade partnerships. Currently lead by the Chief Marketing Officer, Winni'Shiqa. The Security Branch, who serve to protect the executive officers, traders and black marketeers, they also collect unpaid tributes. Lead by the Chief Security Officer. The Contrabanding Branch, who handle the collection and smuggling of illegal assets they also deal in espionage. Lead by the Chief Contrabanding Officer, Braffew. The Black Market Branch, who handle the sale of illegal goods and assets and set up trade partnerships within the underworld. Currently lead by the Chief Contrabanding Officer, Braffew. The Independent Party, who are an offshoot of the company. Civilians with Occupations who's services are frequently used by the Company, they do not have a leader and typically deal with the Representative or Trader branches. Other Information As stated we are a new guild looking for players interested in joining and roleplaying, the guild was actually formed to secondarily be a hub for players who can't find a guild due to their characters Roleplay and don't want to Roleplay alone.(People like traders, civilian jobs, entertainers, chefs etc. so if you are one of those don't be shy.) Once we have more members we will discuss a guild storyline and organise RP events. Nothing in this guild is mandatory, you won't have to log in a required amount to not be kicked, you don't have to attend or even roleplay heavily, (Although it is encouraged to roleplay if you wish to advance up your selected branch) having fun is the most important thing. We currently do not have a Flagship/Stronghold and are operating out of the Chief Security Officer's SH on Tattooine, there is a probation period of one week where you will be assessed to see if you will fit in with the guild (the basic guideline is don't be rude to other members), once you have completed your probation period you will choose your desired branch and roleplay your way to promotions! The current ranks are: CEO, Paffio Smuggis. Chief Officer Trader Security Representative Smuggler Black Marketeer Independent Assistant PM me or leave a reply if you're interested and we hope to see you soon! Alternatively, you can whisper myself (Paffio) or any of the Chief Officers (Add us to your friends list if we are all offline.)
