  1. OP, she is a more main character in Fatal Alliance than Annihilation including a battle-scene with her. Annihilation goes a little into her personal life but she's a side character and doesn't have a Shan fight scene. The two novels are independent of each other so whichever interests you more.
  2. The Palpatine that existed in ROTJ was already the Most Powerful Sith (Canonically and Empirically). Luke in ROTJ is no joke either and I always thought select works would be wiped not necessarily all of it. In either case the movies won't come out for a while so there's really no reason to discuss something that hasn't happened yet. We also have no idea of the power level of the characters in this trilogy or even the characters themselves outside of the big 3. (Before anyone asks or assumes, I missed seeing any of the OT in theaters by a few years. I really should never have to announce this fact when mentioning to people that have only played SWTOR and read Revan that Vitiate is not the greatest thing there ever was.)
  3. Right, people under 40 adore The Godfather series and list Rocky as among their favorites. Let's also not forget that A New Hope not getting Best Picture is considered one of the biggest snubs of all time and what started this huge franchise we all love. I guess people under 40 are too busy checking what they type for spelling mistakes to watch movies from 30+ years ago MTV-style of movies? Do you mean like Bring It On? Or are you criticizing movie companies for taking advantage of advances in special effects technology? A New Hope was a huge example of raising the bar on special effects so let's not act like older movies didn't try to wow audiences and were just completely dependent on delivering a great story. Anyway I was completely fine with Palpatine's Death in ROTJ as like someone previously said, the story is focused on Vader and once the prequels are thrown in the mix it is ironic that Palpatine's death comes at the hands of his trusted ally. Palpatine comes back later so his death here shouldn't be that big of a deal
  4. My (easy) question, what 3 Force Users appear* in the series premier of TCW? (*excludes the opening intro bit, ie what 3 Force Users have scripted lines in the series premier)
  5. It was actually a Force Push into the pit. Maul kicks Obi-Wan 3 times. Twice to separate the duo and focus on Jinn and once just in the flow of battle.
  6. I have a good guess as to what you're referring to here but the links aren't present
  7. I was referring to Leo. I remember hearing years ago that Lucas turned Leo down but then my google search showed that Leo turned the part down. Now I am seeing both ways when searching again ha, either way good thing my error was caught quickly Edit: "Sources" (Notice the quotes as I don't trust them too much ha) http://www.blastr.com/2010/07/3_famous_sci_fi_roles_leonardo_dicaprio_rejected_before_inception.php http://movieline.com/2010/07/16/leonardo-dicaprio-could-have-been-spider-man-anakin-and-robin/
  8. Yeah. If I get some time I may make a push for N Sunrider to be back in the top 10 Most Powerful Jedi list. (I think I'm the one who's supposed to be asking a question now, apologies if wrong) Who is the academy award nominated actor who was in talks with George Lucas to play Anakin Skywalker for Attack of the Clones but turned the part down?
  9. If stasis counts it may be Remulus Dreypa. Problem with both of them is there is not a concrete year of birth
  10. Yes sir you are correct! During a BattleZone of Ulic vs Zannah, someone stated that Ulic could see through illusions and sited this battle as an example. I did not catch the mistake until after the outcome was decided and no one else caught it either so I was hoping I could throw a curve ball that may surprise people.
  11. During the First Battle of the Empress Teta, Aleema Keto made some illusions of Space Grazers. During this encounter, name: 1) the Jedi that was fooled by these illusions 2) the Jedi that was not fooled by these illusions and countered them
  12. Huge Darth Bane Trilogy fan, answers are: -Lehon -Darth Bane - 1) One Master should only take one apprentice 2) Thought Bomb (an aside: it also contained how to counter poisons)
  13. Does anyone have any idea how long the whole thing, in particular season 6, will stay on Netflix? I try to watch/rewatch them again but sadly have other crap going on. All I need is at most 3 months but probably can do quicker. I think I should be fine but just curious
  14. Annihilation is the only book that fits your description. The primary character of Annihilation is Republic SIS Agent Theron Shan and he is not Force Sensitive. Half of the main characters are Non-Force Sensitive and the book in general is more focused on military and spycraft theme both in battle and general. The Force is more in the backseat for that one I'd say. Theron Shan is first introduced in The Lost Suns comics and he is supposed to be the main character in that as well (never read that comic but looking at Wooki). Like I said, reading Lost Suns is not necessary for Annihilation, I never felt lost or needed to refer to Wooki while reading.
  15. The Sith Empire at the time of Naga Sadow was in it's Golden Era as proclaimed by Ragnos and other places. Whether that means it was at a climax and would start to stagnate or was at it highest point but still could grow hasn't been established yet to my knowledge. There really is less concrete information on the Old (Original) Sith Empire than most people think. Either way I speculate that the Sith Empire had anywhere near the total number of resources (ie "citizens") as the Republic so the illusions would be needed regardless of when they attacked. Naga Sadow was the man of his time but characters of that time cannot be concretely judged. If you've ever seen the "REAL Most Powerful Project" Sadow is not considered as a top 10 Sith because all his feats are with his mediation sphere and he is not as developed as other characters. And yes I agree with your assessment of Sadow's mindset, he was ambitious and wanted to increase his kingdom regardless of any and all circumstances.
  16. Darth Sidious ie Ian McDiarmid. I read somewhere that he is to return as a Force Ghost to the Sith Antagonist of VII and it seemed like one of the more concrete reports among all the articles of leaked info/speculation that has been out there. To be honest I've kind of gotten lost with the masses of such reports. I also know that some Post-ROTJ EU is being wiped but I want Luke to remain the man in terms of Force Power. Not necessarily the level he is in the books (as I don't think the non SW EU masses will like that) but at least remain at a Yoda PT level and not like Obi-Wan in ANH for example. Both battle scenarios, especially the ground, would be cool as well!
  17. Rule of Two was actually to pave the path to the Rule of One which was the perfect Sith unlocking all secrets, power, and living forever. If Sidious and Plag hadn't tipped the scales prompting Anakin's birth it would have succeeded. Also every Sith calls any institution a mockery as the concept of an institution itself contradicts the idea of Sith being free from all limits, I never take a Sith calling something a heresy seriously.
  18. The Darth Plageuis novel plays on this idea much more thoroughly in my opinion. It goes into great detail on how and why Plageuis believes for the sake of countless trillions in the galaxy, order and a better way of life is best preserved when power is concentrated in a select few individuals. Also consider this quote from Lumiya: It's unknown if she really believes that or was just manipulating Darth Caedus, but still interesting. PS-Deceived almost concentrates on Republic characters more than Malgus and in Revan you have the narrative switching from Sith and Republic characters. The only point of views you have in the Plagueis novel are Plagueis and Sidious so it will concentrate exclusively on Sith. Also, Sith character narratives are 80+% of the Darth Bane trilogy which was wildly successful and often listed as people's favorites including mine. These are quality reads, written by the same author as Revan, and are a nice transition/bridge the gap for TOR to movie era.
  19. (PS @Beni I only have so much time to post before I must be back to work, I did a quick search to verify and the image in the video looked kind of like the Marek crest slanted in the Northeast direction so I just went with it, my bad ) You have a point. And I know how the years go for the SW Timeline, what I meant was if the show is using the crest before it was adopted as the symbol for the Rebellion at Marek's death in 2 BBY in the current EU Lore than clearly we'd have some wiping on our hands. Either way I glanced too quick at the image in the video so doesn't matter
  20. I agree, notice in OP second video (spark) they did have the Marek crest for the rebellion. The show is supposed to take place in 5 BBY and Marek died in 2 BBY. Hence I think TFU is gone also Edit: Post ROTJ EU is a huge multimedia project also but that didn't stop them from wiping it
