  1. I was already tier3 before they announced that the tier 2 shells were needed to go with the components to make a tier 3 unassembled pice to get a 242 piece. So guess how many tier 2 shells I saved. That's right, ZERO. I can't take a tier 2 earpiece, add 180 components and get a tier 3 ear. I have to take a 80 components and buy a tier1 ear, take it and 120 more components and buy a tier2 ear, take it and 180 more components to get a tier 3 ear. 380 components is 76-190 war zones to get 1 242 piece. If if you had a 50/50 win loss ratio it 110 was. 730 for Bracers/Belts 365 components each 1900 for Ears/Implants/Relics 380 components each 2375 for Boots/Pants/Gloves/Shirt/Hat 475 components each 1140 for Mainhamd/Offhand 570 components each ========= 6145 for a complete set of 242's. It would take over 4 months of 10 wins per day to do that.
  2. I bought 240 stuff off the gtn, on like week 2 or 3 of 5.0, when I was still tier 1. The 5.1 gearing changes have allowed my to buy 2 pieces of 242. The problem is without the shells, it takes between 380 and 570 components to get through the tiers to a 242 piece. So grand total for almost 3 months of effort, have 3 242 pieces. At this rate 6.0 will be out before I can get a complete set, let alone optimize anything.
  3. The only imbalance I have noticed is skill imbalance. For every class you say is squishy and needs to be buffed, I could (if the forums allowed) point you to players who plays that class as if it were OP. For every class you say is godmode and needs to be nerfed, I could point you to players who get shredded as if it were weaksauce. The imbalance is not in the game, the imbalance is in the player.
  4. I got my first 242 from a command crate yesterday, i've opened over 200 tier 3 crates (it's tough to keep track 120 crates from 181-300 then you just keep dinging 300 over and over its hard to remember without writing down, which I didn't. But even at an average of 10 per day, i'm somewhere around 220-230 tier 3 crates) The RNG gearing method is not a gearing method it's a gearing crap shoot. And crap is mostly what you get. Crates of Crap!
  5. This yes very much this. Mercury and mando'so survive a little longer than before, but that's all. They really don't do great damage, especially compared to snipers/slingers.
  6. Having been in tier 3 for over 3 weeks and opening about 200 tier3 packs and only getting my first 242 piece today, gotta say I'm WAY more concerned with pack contents than pack acquision.
  7. Lost count, didn't document releveling 300's but it's around 10 levels a daybit even guesstimating 6 - 10 lvls per day over the last 7 day is still about 40 -70 more tier3 crates. This lands me at 160 - 190 Tier3 crates, still not one 242 piece. You said Command Crates was THE gearing method, but it has yet to provide me any gear!
  8. Galactic Command as an interface is fine. It's the failure of useful gear to fall from crates the is the problem.
  9. Wish people would wise up that crate acquisition frequency really is NOT the issue. I've opened over 160 Tier3 crates and gotten ZERO 242 pieces. Getting more Crates of Crap is useless. The real problem is crate content not crate acquisition.
  10. The most important question is: When will the crates actually contain any 242 pieces???!?!?!?!???!!!!!
  11. Get used to it, made GC300 last week, have re-made 300 over and over since, no 242's
  12. Lost track of how many times I've re-dinged 300, still no 242's
  13. You can only point out what's broken and be ignored so much, eventually you just give up. i.e. crates full of crap.
  14. I'VE noticed, made GC300 yesterday, 120 tier3 crates = 0 242's
  15. With the family having nothing going on tonight and the CXP bonus being on chapters, I raced home from work and ran KotFE Chap2. Ran it like 45 times, in a little over 8 hours, scrapping every bit of Crap along the way. Gained 24 GC levels and hit GC300!!! Not one stinking 242 item in 120 tier3 crates. This system SUX!!!!!
  16. just ran a test on Chapter 2 which concurs with a previous poster, the Mission log is buggy Story Mode: Mission said: 1520 Mission rewarded: 1520 Time: 7:50 CXP/Min 194 Veteran Mode: Mission said: 1520 Mission rewarded: 2565 Time: 9:34 CXP/Min 268 Master Mode: Mission said: 1520 Mission rewarded: 3800 Time: 14:10 CXP/Min 268 (I must be getting better, same rate as Veteran now, whereas it used to be worse for me)
  17. I'm on lunch at work, and not in game, so I don't have any numbers in front of me, but higher levels have (at least prior to 5.1.1) given higher cxp. I'll grant that something may have changed on Tuesday.
  18. Higher difficulty give higher cxp, but also takes longer. Personally i've found VET to be my sweet spot of cxp/minute on chapters. For me , the VET level barely take longer at all while give a great deal more than Story. For me the increased time and cxp of Master make the ratio still better than Story, but not as good as Veteran. It all boils down to cxp/minute. Of course the Crates are still Crap, so...
  19. Find the ASCII character that puts an accent over the o.
  20. Bonus cxp has gotten me 16 Crates of Crap in the past 2 days.
  21. You can't believe that RNG has been then problem all along???? The acquisition of a crate has NEVER been the issue. The contents of the crate have ALWAYS been the issue. Spending any amount of time to get nothing useful is bad. Since reaching teir3 I have opened 89 crates and not received any 242 gear. Weeks of play for no reward. Based on my experience they could give is a 350000000% bonus, and I'd get an ocean freighter full of crates and still be no better off than I am today.
  22. Math or no math... 9 CRATES OF CRAP IS NO BETTER THAN 3 CRATES OF CRAP!!!!!!! you know the interesting thing about that little white speck on the top of a pile of chicken crap, is that it is still chicken crap.
