  1. DISCLAIMER: This is from a pvper's stand point, the parsing numbers from full 242 gear sitting still on a boss rarely comes into play in pvp. We all know Mercs/commandos are flavor of the month and insanely overpowered when facing 4v4. More often than not, when solo queing ranked I often face 3/4 mercs every single game. I even have screenshots where the 8 man wz are literally 7/8 merc in dps spec. MERCS NEED NERFED! yes i'll say the same thing 90% of the other pvpers are, that arent rerolling everytime there's a new FOTM. They survive longer than their tanking counterparts, do more dmg then all melee in pvp scenarios, and they have increased range and speed. They have no equal, there is no counter merc/commando and this absolutely ruins pvp when ONE class has this much pull on what every single wz/arena looks like. I'm not in favor of a big dps nerf across the board, however their procs that are giving blazing bolts basically on an infinite loop needs redesigned to only proc one time per 30 seconds, this gives 2 chances of use every 30 seconds rather than the infinite cast that it is. The shield that is refunding 75% of max health needs removed entirely, or moved into the vanguard/Pryo tree, this talent has no business being in a dps's arsenal, no other dps in the game has this kind of heal (yes sage/sorc can heal, merc/mando also has this same instant heal this is not what i'm talking about) but not one other class spec has a 75% get out of jail free card, they should either all have them or noone should have them period. I play a shadow, sorc, marauder, and commando. Yes, I said it I do play a commando, just because i wanted to know exactly what i was talking about when i came to complain. My commando out parses all my other characters in 230. My shadow and sorc being out dps'ed long shot and they're both 240+ w/ full augments. My marauder comes close in his 234 gear but its still no contest. There also absolutely needs to be a maximum of healers allowed into a warzone. My opinion this max should be 3 at the absolute most, however I'm in favor of just two. The healers requiring the small army they need to be killed is absolutely insane. My friend and I dueled just to test it out him (sorc heals and me as a shadow and then marauder) I could never kill him, I never even got close, once he went oom I'd get him down to 50% then he mana taps and boom another 10 minutes of my life wasted i'll never get back. And I know w/o a doubt people are going to say mark the healer and all gank them, this is all well and great in theory but often there are 3/4 imp healers on a team its near impossible to kill any of them, nor anyone else when this happens. I came to swtor for the pvp and story. I do not care at all about ops/heroics, at 242 gear there is then no point in doing ops. And yes i know teir 4 and 5 are releasing in 5.2 to give people another number to shoot at, but with pvp being in the state it is, from a pvpers' standpoint there is no point for me to continue to pay for and play this game. I have spent thounsands of dollars on this game across 3 accounts (mine, my wife's, my son's ) and w/ pvp being cespool that it is right now, you will be losing at least 45 dollars a month and my usual 4 purchases of the 39.99 cartel packs. I will be playing different games, and its all because you refuse to even look at class changes to balance things out. I'm not asking "Make my characters stronger??" I just want thing to be fair across the board so anyone has a chance to kill anyone with skill and gear, rather than the class determining your worth in warzones and arenas

The new "command legacy xp boost" is as expensive as any legacy boost and only give a bonus of 10% ( seriously Bioware??? 10% and it costing well over 3mil credits) And last of all, I have read the forms since 2014. Never once have I seen a class so blatantly favored over all others, as mercs/commandos are right now. You can bet money any pvp que pops and there are at least 4/8 mercs/commandos on each team. They're clearly the FoTM, however they need retuned badly. Right now, they're the only dps capable of soloing a healer. One of two things need to happen, they either need tuned down, or the other dps needs brought up to par w/ survivability and dps #'s. This is unbelievable you'd go so far out of your way to encourage the entire game to play one class. My shadow can't get any love, nor my marauder, my guardian is the only one that stands a chance, and its a very small one. I've spent alot of my hard earned money on this game. Been a loyal customer for years, been w/ you through all the dead servers, terrible patches, and complete crap content. Its as bad as its ever been right now, and you're not delivering on your promises. Serious question: Bioware are you actively trying to ruin the game, so you can shut it down? I know it costs money to keep the game alive, and I know from facts you're making a good living doing so. So why the blatant disregard for your customer base?
  3. Another case of a class being completely ruined because of bioware's overreaction to people crying on forums. A mara/sent kills you, respawn and try again. Dont come to forums whining and complaining. Maras being nerfed hurts the entire game not just the people playing rage spec. And FYI not all maras play rage, most i know dont, so to nerf the entire class because of one spec is idoitic and probably going to cost subs and money.
  4. I've been carnage from the day my first toon was created a year ago and here today still rocking carnage. I've tried out smash...hated it and moved right back to my chainsaw mode sabers flying spec. As far as survivablity goes we'll just have to use our heads a little more.

So i've grinded all i can out of WZ's and arenas....I originally went into pvp with my shadow because noone wanted a shadow in an op group...i leveled as a tank but when into deception when i hit 55 for pvp. I'm now burnt out on pvp and am interested in tanking some 8 mans and 16 mans after awhile. Where should i start with the gearing process? im fully conq pvp geared which i know helps 0.00% but i do still have my entry level 55 tanking greens/blues. Any help would be appreciated, im trying to avoid spending 2 weeks grinding for gear i didnt have to grind for in the first place.
  6. smashers are fine, leave them alone. The nerf this nerf that thread only hurts every class...not just one. It effectively changes outcomes of every interaction pvp or pve. I do play a smasher occasionally the spec is fun, however i do enjoy carnage more it just isnt viable for warzone pvp. If you go rage "smash spec" in arenas you'll get laughed at and your face planted smoothly into the dirt. Worry about how you can beat a smasher! I made one to learn mechanics and the do's and dont's against them. My shadow because of this can destroy a masher at will. Why? because im smart enough to learn the classe's weaknesses not just QQ in forums about how bad i get destroyed. Jugg and Guard tanks seem to just kill every class i have as a tank, yet theres no forum from me crying to have them nerfed. L2P!!!!! This isnt your parent's forum where you cry and get what you want.
  7. No pvp is not a "good way" to level up. At most winning a warzone which can take up to 30-40 minutes with the wait in que and the actual wz itself AT MOST rewards xp equal to one normal quest with about half the creds and no gear. Grinding questlines on planets is by far the quickest way....spend 2-3 hours on a planet and overlevel the planet. I have a 55 mar 55 shadow 55 slinger and working on a 55 sorc atm. I've been through the fire leveling and trust me it is much easier and faster to level through pve. I do admit pvping occasionally and doing the occasional FP is a way to break the boringness of leveling, however quest quest quest. They're much faster and usually all are right next to storylines if not right along side them. Do your quests enjoy your story leave pvp for endgame.
  8. I play a sharpshooter gunslinger, major burst that rewards you with instant casts more often then not. Great class, great spec, DESTROYES if you play the rotation right. Which it is an identical mirror to marksmen snipers. And the rotation is pretty self explanitory
  9. true...but you can argue no modded mouse is needed for anything, however if you like to pvp and would rather button mash with one thumb its a nice buy. Got mine on amazon for a little bit of nothing

IF you're wanting to fix assassins/shadow's dps that wont help at all in pvp....their burst is amazing probably the best in game if you play them right and time CC accordingly, I can solo most healers in partasin if i catch them without a CC breaker. leave us alone in we're fine the low percent of sustained dps difference does matter in pvp at all if you play the class the way its meant to be played, which is strike from the shadows burst your emeny as much as u can if you dont get a kill vanish, rinse, and repeat.
  12. Ok so im running a radeon 6770 and im getting 50 fps in most of the world even in dungeon groups im getting really good fps with everything on medium graphical settings. However upon entering a warzone my fps plummet to 8 to 9 fps if im lucky. If i attack someone or someone attacks me i get stuck to 2-3 fps i dont understand this at all. other mmo's i can run on high quality settings such as GW2 and im at 33-40 in Highdef settings. Is there anything i can do to improve this? im not wanting super HD graphics just a game that will work. I am a subscriber i do absolutely love this game im just upset at the pvp framerate lag. And yes i've turned every graphical setting to low and still have the same issue
