  1. When was the last time you did a raid in ME3?
  2. Orange gear is just a model/texture and has no bearing on performance. There's no reason for it not to have a way to add an augment slot to it, preferably with some item made by crafters.
  3. I agree with the OP. When you have to buy a $120 mouse with a mini keyboard built-in just to keep up with all the abilities it's too much. It's to be expected though since SWTOR is a WoW clone. Seriously? You're saying that about WoW, the king of ability bloat? FFS my shaman needed a whole bar just for totems. I'd rather they not give me 5 abilities that do basically the same thing. Just give me one with 1/5 the cooldown instead. It doesn't make the game any harder. It just makes my fingers tired.
  4. What he said. Eventually if they ever do make another minigame I'd rather have the holographic chess from the Millennium Falcon though. I already have the table in my ship. Might as well let me use it.
  5. Sounds like a defective card. You're overlooking the part where he said he got the exact same card. If you're really using the exact same card it should still work. You're going to want to upgrade your PSU anyway though. 450 is way too low for a gaming computer. I recommend Kingwin. I have one that's 80+ gold certified, 800-850w (I forget). It has a modular cable system with sleeved cables, both of which help a lot with airflow. It even has blue LED's with a clear fan to match my case. It's been working beautifully for me and it's relatively cheap compared to equivalent PSU's.
  6. Oh stop crying already. Yes they have heavy armor. They also don't have a bunch of survival tools like force speed and bubbles and such. They get 1 knockback/snare and maybe a crappy second knockback if they spec for it. They get one short stun. They have to sit there and turret cause of cast times. If you're letting them freecast you deserve to die to them. They're pretty easy to shut down.
  7. Sentinel specs other than watchman are, for one. Generally I agree though. I look through the class forums and see every class moaning about how other classes are OP. Very few classes and specs appear to have actual balance problems. Most of people's complaints are just them being whiny little girls who can't accept that an ubermensch like them can possibly be beaten legitimately so the other class must be OP. Snipers whine about tanks and sages whine about snipers and so on. According to the forums almost every class in the game is OP so that must mean it's pretty balanced.
  8. So you don't want easy mode, but you also don't want mobs to be able to do anything to you? Yeah, that makes sense. Do you realize that a healer, not even DPS, but a HEALER spec trooper can one shot like 5 mobs and then turn around and 2 shot 2 more groups of 5 before running out of ammo and cooldowns? If the groups are close enough together my heal spec commando can kill like 15+ mobs in less than 5 seconds. Characters are already very strong. They don't need to be any stronger. The solo PvE is enough of a cakewalk already. If you're talking about strongs or elites then of course you can't one shot them. That's why they're called strong or elite. In the movies jedi are the unstoppable godlike killing machines the OP wishes his character was. Doesn't make it a good idea for them to be that way in a multiplayer game though. If that's what he wants he should try the Force Unleashed series.
  9. If you're using the standard attack for anything more than letting your resource regen for one or two GCD's occasionally then you're doing it wrong. There aren't any classes that play like they have autoattack.
  10. Actually as someone currently mostly playing a combat sentinel I'm pretty happy about the 1.2 patch. It gives us some of the things we really needed for PvP (better centering generation for one) and fixes a major PvE bug. Unless you tell us what exactly you don't like about the patch I can't give you any better response than a generic "I disagree". Edit: If this is the dumbest decision you're seen an MMO take early, then you obviously haven't been paying attention. In Jumpgate: Evolution the developer ended up getting sued into bankruptcy by their own publisher for repeatedly missing deadlines. Why? They figured it would be a great idea to completely overhaul the game a few days before it was supposed to launch, guaranteeing they were going to be at least several months behind schedule and at worst a year or more. They did this without checking with the publisher first. On a stupid decision scale of 1 to 10, 1.2 is about a 2 and the JGE redesign is about a 3,057. First example off the top of my head. Didn't even think about it. Your statement is the exaggeration of the century. It's a patch, not an expansion. Patches are what the subscription pays for.
  11. I'm not entirely sure what you're asking. Can you be more specific?
  12. Yes, for anything but a healer. If you're a healer and keep them well geared they can actually be useful if only for their agro skills. It's kind of hard to heal yourself if you're getting beat on after all. Especially for a commando since we can't self-target hammer shot. My DPS also drops to like half of normal when I have agro. Since I'm not over 40 yet (still 30's) I don't have any points for the other tree so I don't have the -70% pushback for attacks yet. Just because they're (barely) viable for one role doesn't mean they aren't broken though. Tank companions badly need a buff. The way it is currently, if Aric could taunt there would be no reason for M1-4X to exist.
  13. Thanks for taking the time to post this. It's stuff that should go without saying, but most people in PUGs are little smarter than animals. Hopefully this will save some of them from themselves. If this stuff happens in a guild the guild is crap and you need to leave immediately. In a half decent guild this person would be assumed to be brand new to the genre and would be taken aside and have this stuff explained to them. If it keeps up they'd be kicked. If it happens consistently in a guild it shows a profound lack of leadership and recruiting standards. The AOE thing is actually a tanking failure and not a DPS one. It's the tank's job to separate other mobs from the CC'd ones.
  14. The burst tree is always the PvP tree. Combat isn't as bad as people make it out to be, and they're buffing it in 1.2 too.
  15. Thanks for figuring out a workaround. I'll keep that in mind for when my sentinel hits 50.
  16. I already had a Nostromo. I got a gift card for a store I didn't really want anything from so I decided to try a G13 just for the heck of it. I ended up throwing it out after a week. It's absolutely terrible compared to the Nostromo IMO. The G13 has slightly more buttons, but the shape is less comfortable, the joystick is trash and the software has a lot of problems. It also didn't seem to be as well made. To each their own I guess, but I personally would rate the Nostromo 7/10 and the G13 barely 4/10. Ever heard of the Dunning–Kruger effect? I'll summarize it in layman's terms for you; the less skill one has the less capable one is of perceiving skill. They only think they're top jedi. Melee classes using keyboard turning are a joke.
  17. OP FOTM spec complaining makes baby Jesus cry. Edit: And burst tree = PvP tree. You're making PvP complaints about the PvE tree.
  18. Didn't answer the question at all. Thanks. Does that include the flesh raider jedi?

  20. It's not our fault. It has to be used a lot. The whole skill tree revolves around it. We're losing a lot of damage from our other skills if we don't get our stacks up. A BH/commando only using tracer/grav is just as bad as a sentinel only using strike though. You shouldn't have any trouble beating them. I'm pretty sure I could beat that on a naked lv10 using a white lv1 weapon. What is the sentinel doing the whole match, just sitting in a corner AFK?
  21. Why does everyone think that? Unless he was terribad he wasn't just using tracer missile. I have a commando, which is the mirror. Grav round/tracer missile give a debuff that stacks 5 times and gives a buff to some of the other abilities. Yes it's used frequently, but it's far from the only ability getting used. You just need to pay more attention and learn what the other abilities look like.
  22. If you're talking about the test I think you are it was nowhere close to 3 times more. It was more like 20-30% or something.
  23. If you're doing every quest and bonus you should be able to level in your sleep because you'll be drastically over leveled. I usually have to skip two entire planets before I hit alderan just to keep things my level. Usually it's taris and and a 50/50 split between nar shadaa and tatooine. This is good advice. Tanking in a group the healer's resource efficiency is the main thing so defense is important. In all other cases damage is far more important than defense. If something dies sooner it can't hit you as many times. Like they say, "the best defense is a good offense". Say you have two people; bob and frank. Bob has twice as much damage as frank and frank has twice as much damage mitigation as bob. Frank will only be taking half the damage of bob, but bob kills twice as fast so he only gets hit half as many times. They'll both be at the same HP percent after killing a mob. The difference is that bob kills more mobs in the same period of time so he levels faster. Weapon upgrades always take priority over armor upgrades for leveling.
  24. Oh, okay. My mistake then. I haven't hit 10k yet.
  25. I'm wondering about that flesh raider myself. Yes to which?
