  1. Oh hi, Xam here! So this is how the scoreboard is structured from what I've seem on the PTS so far (my screenshots are from a PvP Challenge Arena Match BTW). The scoreboard shows you Valor Ranking, Season Points, Credits and XP earned and is divided into multiple tabs. Personal – this shows you detailed personal stats for the whole match as well as all the medals you earned. Seasons – this tab shows your progress through the PvP Season Reward Track and Objectives. Overall – shows the overall stats for everyone in the match including (this MIGHT be arenas only) ------ Medals ------ Damage ------ Healing ------ Protection ------ Damage Taken ------ Kills Round 1, 2, 3 – shows stats per round (arenas only). Here are my screenshots: https://mmobits.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/pvp-scoreboard-pts-01.png https://mmobits.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/pvp-scoreboard-pts-02.png https://mmobits.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/pvp-scoreboard-pts-03-1024x611.png The scoreboard is definitely not complete yet. To my knowledge, Warzones have not popped at all on the PTS. I am personally very curious to see what the medals are like ie. are they more objective based and less 'PvP' (combat) focused? Lol. But it would appear that Arena Medals at least are similar to what they are now... Shameless plug - https://mmobits.com/2022/11/10/game-update-7-2-pvp-revamp-overview/ (more revamp info, being updated as I find more stuff on PTS) 😊
  2. It's all good! I was glad you showed up! It was kinda getting tedious killing the boss on my own haha
  3. Do you think you'll PvP more or less than you did before the update? Probably about the same (2 days a week when I stream)? We'll see I guess. Do the rewards on the reward track make you want to PvP specifically to earn them? Eh, not really. The trophy deco's look weird and the outfits are pretty meh IMO. I don't like the helmets or baggy pants. Do you think you'll queue for 8v8 Warzones or 4v4 Arenas equally? Probably not. I've always preferred Warzones over Arenas (in every MMO I've played I've always preferred large-scale over small-scale PvP encounters). Although I'm sure my community will make me queue for them occasionally. πŸ˜‚ Do you feel the new Warzone medals will encourage objective play? I haven't seen warzone medals yet (only arena ones). But not all of us want to play objectively or care about objectives. We want to see big numbers on the scoreboard at the end of the match plain and simple. πŸ˜„ Is it clear how to earn PvP points and progress the Season reward track? Yep. What is your overall impression of the changes to the PvP season system? There's no challenge, it's just a fluff rewards system nothing to really drive competition. Would have much rather seen a leader board system that rewards effort and skill. Kind of silly that people will be able to lose their way to the rewards. What do you like the most about the changes to the PvP season system? I guess it's nice that you can get stuff regardless of what type of PvP you like (ie. no longer just arenas)? But also see above.... What do you like the least about the changes to the PvP season system? I don't like that you can catch up with credits. That needs to be removed. I would be open, however, to the catch up currency being warzone commendations instead. That way the rewards are at least still only going to people who PvP. Could you imagine if I could get rewards from PvE content just by paying credits without even doing any PvE? Why should PvE only players be able to get PvP rewards with credits when they don't PvP? This isn't galactic seasons where you can pick and choose the content you do. There is only content path for the rewards (PvP) and you should have to participate in that content (PvP) to get the rewards, not use credits to catch up. What is one change or adjustment you would like to make on the new PvP Season system, what would it be, and why? Add leader boards. I've always wanted to see 8v8 ranked come back so I can have larger scale competitive mode in this game. But alas we got fluff instead. Even though I stopped doing ranked many years ago (cause again, I don't like arenas) it's sad to see a competitive mode taken out of the game. Wish there had been some kind of compromise, like leader boards, introduced. They're generally a little less sweaty but still encourage some competition (and wouldn't require as much moderation). Even PvP events that gave us a week of competition that rewards wins, high damage, high heals etc. with special rewards would have been an okay compromise. Like PvE has so many repeatable events why can't PvP have one or two? Something else that would've been nice to see is a new warzone map (either a new mode or Novare Coast reskin) or even an 8v8 deathmatch mode. 😒
  4. So I did the world boss as a Merc Healer with Shae DPSing (50 Influence). If you fought the world boss, what were your impressions? It was way too easy. Very little damage going out except for one ability (Chomp/Chomped?) that nearly killed my comp but I was able to heal her back up no problems. How many players did you fight the world boss with? Up until the boss had around 30% health, it was just me Healing (Merc) and my Companion Shae (50 Influence) DPSing. Then another player, a Vengeance Jugg (from memory) showed up with their healing companion. Were you able to defeat the world boss? Indeed. Did any abilities do too much damage? Did any seem like they could be ignored? Pretty much all damage was minimal and was pretty easy to keep on top of with my heals and chomp/chomped(?) was pretty easy to recover from since the bosses regular damage was minimal. Did you understand the abilities the boss used? If not, please provide details about what caused you trouble From memory yes, although chomp/chomped(?) was a bit of a WTF moment for me to experience the first time haha. Anyway, I'm assuming it's unintended that companions can help with this world boss. But in any case once companion bug fixed, this boss will easily be able to be 2-manned with a heals and DPS. Definitely need to up the damage and mechanics to make it more of an 8-man boss encounter at the bare minimum (ideally more it's a world boss after all!)
  5. To be honest, I'm pretty surprised to see Merc heals get buffed. I am a little concerned about the Operative nerfs. As Ariel already described in better detail, this will hit Operatives hard in PvP. They really need a defensive buff to bring them in line with Sorcs and Mercs. I'll also be curious to see if the healing buffs to Sorcs make them more viable in harder content. Will be interesting to see their HPS compared to Mercs... By the way, you forgot the Commando conversions in your post so here they are Increased the healing done by Rapid Scan/Medical Probe, Emergency Scan/Bacta Infusion, Progressive Scan/Successive Treatment, Kolto Missile/Kolto Bomb and Kolto Pods by 2%. Increased the critical healing bonus given by Warden/Potent Medicine from 5% to 10%. Increased the healing bonus given by Integrated Scanning/integrated Probes mod from 3% to 5%. Increased the critical chance bonus to Healing Scan from Critical Scanning/Critical Probes mod from 5% to 10%
  6. ^ This tbh. Especially the 10 min timeout. That's a big yikes.
  7. Yep! I'd be very happy to be able to queue for warzones only.
  8. So first of all, thanks for reversing the removal of Rail Shot from Merc Healers... <3 But one bug that's missing from here and has been having a big impact on the PT mains in my guild is the PT/Vanguard Offhand loot table bug as described in this thread - https://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=1004415 Guildies have submitted multiple bug tickets with no success. Can we get some kind of acknowledgement of this bug and a possible ETA on a fix for it? It's very frustrating for them to be doing content on their PT's (their main class) and not getting drops off of bosses cause the game is trying to give them an offhand.
  9. Hello Bryant & Jackie, I'm continuing to refine and update my 7.0 Gearing Guide so that it's ready/up-to-date for launch (or as close as ready as possible) and I have a couple of questions. - Is the tertiary stat distribution remaining the same for PvP gear (or how it was on the PTS) or is it changing to line up with the PvE gear changes? - There are currently not many sources of Requisition Caches (these crates guarantee a gear upgrade FYI for players not familiar with 7.0 PTS) and these sources heavily favour PvE (at least on the PTS we saw). Are there plans to add Requisition Caches at the very least to the GSF and Ranked PvP Weeklies? (Requisition Caches on the PTS we saw could only be found on Priority SM Operation Weeklies, Vet & MM Flashpoint Weeklies and the Unranked PvP Weekly). - Upgrading Set Bonus Implants (on the PTS we experienced) was a very strange and finicky process... Can we get confirmation that it was bugged (at least hopefully it was bugged) and perhaps some clarification on exactly how it is intended we upgrade our Set Bonus Implants? Is it supposed to be how we upgrade other gear pieces? ie. just currency and gear piece turn in to upgrade? Thank you, - Xam EDIT: Sorry, I forgot a question... - Are we going to get Warzone Crates for completing PvP (& GSF) matches? And if so, are they going to have a chance of dropping Thyrsian (PvP) gear? On the PTS, we were getting crates from completing matches but the premium crates just dropped tech fragments...
  10. Just want to say that the LEGACY currency caps* currently on the PTS, especially for PvP, are unacceptable. I discussed this on my last stream. But let me give you all an overview of how dire the situation is for PvPers here. *Testing by other players on the PTS has confirmed that the currency caps are unfortunately legacy. These are the current legacy currency caps: - Medal of Commendation (Conquest) - 600 = 3 conquest completions per week. - Aquatic Resource Matrix (Heroics/Dailies) - 800 (each heroic area weekly & daily hub weekly = 100) - Thyrsian Production Accelerant (PvP) - 500 - Decurion Isotope Stabilizer (Flashpoints/Uprisings?) - 950 - Hazardous Matter Catalyst (Operations) - 950 These caps will slow down gearing significantly and make even doing weeklies (we don't yet know how much the PvE weeklies will give yet) not worthwhile. Let's look more closely at PvP gear vs. Conquest gear. The PvP dailies and weeklies give the following amounts of currency: Unranked PvP Daily - 75 Thyrsian Production Accelerant Unranked PvP Weekly - 450 Thyrsian Production Accelerant Solo Ranked PvP Daily - 150 Thyrsian Production Accelerant Solo Ranked PvP Weekly - 1,000 Thyrsian Production Accelerant Group Ranked PvP Daily - 300 Thyrsian Production Accelerant Group Ranked PvP Weekly - 2,000 Thyrsian Production Accelerant GSF Daily - 120 Thyrsian Production Accelerant GSF Weekly - 720 Thyrsian Production Accelerant As you can see, players have many options for easily earning more than 500 Thyrsian Production Accelerants per week... The total cost of a full set of basic PvP gear (316) is: 2,480 Thyrsian Production Accelerant + 21,000 Credits 2480/500 = 4.96 Yes, this means that unless the currency cap is removed it will take a PvPer FIVE WEEKS to get a full set of 316 gear. This is only the first tier of gear! There are hypothetically several more tiers up to 326 (which is likely the cap based on recent dev posts). Not to mention that upgrading PvP gear is going to cost PvE currency too?!???? This is beyond a joke and quite frankly incredibly disrespectful to PvPers. Unfortunately, it gets worse... To add insult to injury, let's look at Conquest gear (reminder weekly caps are 600 Medal of Commendation & 800 Aquatic Resource Matrix). Here's the full upgrade costs for each gear tier: 320 - 480 Medal of Commendation + 247,100 Credits 322 - 960 Medal of Commendation + 1,400 Aquatic Resource Matrix + 266,800 Credits 324 - 960 Medal of Commendation + 1,540 Aquatic Resource Matrix + ? Credits 326 - 960 Medal of Commendation + 1,680 Aquatic Resource Matrix + ? Credits Total = 3,360 Medal of Commendation + 4,620 Aquatic Resource Matrix + 1,047,500+ Credits 3360/600 = 5.6 This means it will take you just under 6 weeks to max out your conquest gear... See the discrepancy here??!?!?!?????? 5 weeks to get a full set of the first tier of PvP gear (316) and 6 weeks to get your conquest gear maxed at 326? Are you *********** kidding me??!?!?!??????:mad::mad::mad: All I can say is I hope this is some kind of mistake cause it's really really ****ed that not only is it going to take a PvPer 5 weeks to get a full set of basic gear (AGAIN because of the currency caps). But we'll be able to get a full set of max tier conquest gear (326) in almost the same amount of time????? That is completely and utterly ****ed. Seriously? Another disappointing thing about the cap is that it is a missed opportunity to encourage Ranked PvP participation. A player could earn quite a lot of Thyrsian Production Accelerant in a week (see above) without a cap. I'm sure a lot of PvPers would jump into ranked at launch if it meant getting gear faster (assuming it's offseason which it probably will be). Hell, I would consider jumping into ranked for faster gearing... It would still likely take a few weeks to max out gear depending on how many tiers there are. So PvP gearing would probably end up being at a similar pace to conquest gearing if the cap was removed. But anyway, I guess the TLDR of this post is: - Can the devs please explain why there are weekly caps on currencies? Are the caps even correct? How are they supposed to work? Are they supposed to be legacy caps or character caps? - Assuming it is intentional and not some kind of mistake (**** I hope it's some kind of mistake), why the hell do the devs think it's a good idea to make it take us 5 weeks to get a full set of first-tier PvP gear? How could anyone possibly justify this? It's obscene and needs or be changed immediately. No ifs or buts. Fix it NOW. Increase the damn cap at the very least!
  11. Hey everyone, I have a few guides for the new Galactic Seasons system introduced in Game Update 6.3! SWTOR Galactic Seasons Q&A Guide https://mmobits.com/2021/03/20/swtor-galactic-seasons-overview/ This guide contains an in-depth look at the Galactic Season System in a Q&A format. I'll be continually updating this guide as more questions from the community come through. SWTOR Galactic Seasons 1 – The Stranger from Kubindi Guide https://mmobits.com/2021/04/28/swtor-galactic-seasons-1-the-stranger-from-kubindi-guide/ This guide includes a brief overview of how the system works, how to get points and level, the Season 1 priority objectives and an in-depth look at the Season 1 Reward Tracks. SWTOR Galactic Seasons Rewards Vendors Guide https://mmobits.com/2021/03/25/swtor-galactic-seasons-rewards-vendor/ This guide includes an overview of all the vendor rewards, previews for most items and tooltips as well as how to get Galactic Seasons Tokens. If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
  12. Were you able to find the Galactic Seasons page? I had no issues finding it. I instinctively clicked on the login rewards tick thingy in the social menu and found the Galactic Seasons tab there. Were you able to locate your Galactic Seasons Priority Objectives in the Galactic Seasons screen? All too easy. In the Conquest screen there is a list of tentative Daily and Weekly Priority Objectives. These are all denoted as "PO: Name". What feedback do you have regarding the current list of objectives? From what I've skimmed, there seems to be quite a variety of objectives suited to all playstyles. Players who already do a variety of conquest objectives should have little issue with levelling galactic seasons. How do you feel about the cadence and points offered in GS? Based on rough math, players who log in regularly should not have any issue getting to level 100 regardless of their content preferences or how they play the game. Obviously, the more variety of gameplay a player is willing to participate in, the faster they will level through this system. Players who do not like to participate in certain types of content, however, should still be able to adequately level through this system within the prescribed amount of time. When you consider that players will have 5 months (roughly 150 days) to gain 100 levels, this battle pass system is actually quite generous compared to other prominent examples. A player who logs in and completes all the daily objectives every day once Game Update 6.3 goes live (+ complete weekly objectives & bonus point gain) should get to level 100 in around 2 1/2 months. This is indeed very generous. What other general feedback would you like to tell us? Galactic Seasons is looking to be an excellent battle pass system comparable to those found in prominent games like Call of Duty or Fortnite. But perhaps could use a tweak or two. TWEAK 1: Rewards for every single level - I do find it quite odd that there isn't a reward for every single level. Although the rewards could still be being finalised. So in that case, no worries! TWEAK 2: Tokens - I am not a big fan of how few tokens we can earn. Subscribers can only earn a total of 12 Tokens this season (it appears so far). Given that the total cost to buy every item on the vendor is 65 tokens, 12 Tokens a tad bit low. Yes, long time subscribers like myself will already have most of the items. But, there are a fair few new items to pick from. With my Tokens, I'll be able to get the Imp Fleet Penthouse Stronghold and choose from two of the new weapons. That's it. I won't even be able to consider getting any of the other new rewards on offer. Despite these needed tweaks, the system is very well designed. Players who engage in this system have zero gameplay advantage over those who choose not to. It is simply a cosmetic fluff reward system which is exactly what it should be. The level skipping mechanic, again, offers no gameplay advantage for players who choose to use it. Therefore, it is not 'pay to win' even though cartel coins can be used. In fact, given the tie-in to conquest, it is ultimately detrimental for players who frequently play the game to skip levels as they are missing out on potential conquest points. (Obviously, for players who can't play the game for an extended period of time who want the rewards, skipping levels would be worth it). Overall, I appreciate how easy it will be to participate in this system via in-game means. I really like that I'll be able to earn some nice cosmetic rewards simply by playing the game how I already do and by branching out more to other areas of the game I frequent less (if I want to level faster). Hopefully, this system will be a stepping stone (post-6.3) to more engaging endgame content with substance the community craves and is anxious to hear more about. Finally, a quick question, will we be able to directly preview the rewards from the Galactic Seasons Track? It's pretty annoying that we can't do so now, especially the decorations! I WANT TO KNOW WHAT THEY LOOK LIKE! P.S. For anyone seeking clarification on the Galactic Seasons system, I have a Q&A guide on MMO Bits - https://mmobits.com/2021/03/20/swtor-galactic-seasons-overview/
  13. How are people supposed to test augment performance when there is no way currently to easily acquire them? No one is going to farm NIM and Ranked just to get the mats to be able to craft these augments. There's zero incentive to do so... Plus requires other peoples around to do the content...
  14. If you're going to introduce a deserter penalty for unranked, then you need to allow us to select which warzones we want to queue for (even if it's just by type). I for one would never queue for an arena again.
  15. Finally finished my feedback. Will link a feedback blog post I wrote on my website at the end that has accompanying screenshots and videos for those interested. What is your general feeling on the Stronghold? I really like this stronghold overall. It really captures the thematic elements of Alderaan beautifully. The mountains, the snow, green fields, the waterfalls and stream. The building structures themselves are also really nice. The detail in the interiors is impeccable especially the windows (stained glass or otherwise). I also like that you can climb up some of the mountains and there hidden little nooks and crannies to explore. Are there any specific rooms you like, or don't like, and why? Please be specific. I'm not a big fan of the Killik cave. Maybe if it were further away from the main building I wouldn't mind it but it just doesn't look right having the Killik Mounds so close to the main building. I do like the idea that someone else suggested of removing all the Killik stuff from the cave including the yellow mounds on top. Instead, you could turn those elements into decorations (that aren't already decorations) and those who want to have a Killik cave can make it a Killik cave with decorations. This way players can use the cave how they see fit. I also like the idea that someone suggested of giving the Noble Interior adjacent rooms (ie. the Study, Drawing Room, Guest Chambers) their own personality. This could be done by making one or two of the rooms bigger, varying the shape of the rooms or even adding windows to one or two of them. I do recall Organa Castle having some nice circular type rooms as seen in the Smuggler, Jedi Knight and Sith Warrior stories. I don't really know how I feel about the Throne Room. I like the concept but I feel the execution is a little underwhelming. This is probably because the room is quite small for a Throne Room. I don't really like the placement of the throne structure. Yes, it looks really nice but honestly, I'd rather have a full window to take advantage of the beautiful waterfall views. Maybe if it were bigger, had a high ceiling and columns or something to make it feel grander or throne 'roomy' I'd like it more. The grand interior room with the stained glass window is quite lovely. However, I would like to see the upper area/roof either turned into a balcony area or even windows added (not stained glass, just normal windows like those in the Retreat). There isn't really that much point to having large wall hooks that high up especially when your eye is drawn straight to the stained glass window. Maybe if we had some kind of window decorations I wouldn't mind it as much. Does the Stronghold feel too big? Too small? Why? I think the size of the Stronghold is just fine in terms of scale. I would expect a Stronghold on Alderaan to be large. It doesn't need to be any bigger than it is though. I would honestly be disappointed if it was a small Coruscant/Drommund Kaas sized Stronghold. There are plenty of other planets where a small Stronghold would work. It would not work on Alderaan. If you could change one thing about the Stronghold, what would it be? Add a training dummy room (similar to the one in the Rishi Stronghold)! Put it where that fake door is in the Retreat perhaps? This Stronghold is probably going to be highly desirable as a Guild Stronghold. It would make sense to add the utility and convenience of a training dummy to this stronghold especially if you guys can't increase the cap on Guild strongholds. Does the increased hook density feel too cluttered? Not really? Though hooks are quite sparse in the open field area at the front entrance of the SH. The interiors are overall well done in terms of hook placement but could use some minor tweaks. Having a lot of hooks in the interiors gives players plenty of decorating options. The main tweaks I'd like to see include adding ceiling hooks to the lower ceiling areas in the stained glass window room. I'd also like to see hooks added to the floor of the ruins. It's also a little bizarre that the front entrance wall doesn't have hooks either. Does the number and placement of hooks feel too restrictive given the Stronghold's decoration cap? I would like to see the cap increased but at the same time it does line up with the Rishi Stronghold which has 12 expansions and a decoration limit of 1600 while Alderaan has 9 expansions and a decoration limit of around ~1060(?) (didn't note exact limit unfortunately before PTS went down). Maybe if hook placement is tweaked a bit, then we can look at decoration limits. Anything else you want to add? First of all, can we please please please get some stained glass window decorations?! You could do scenes from a variety of planets too. Maybe do some more Alderaan ones. A waterfall, some ruins or just snowy mountains and forest. A Tatooine stained glass window with the twin suns setting would be incredible! A Voss one would like amazing too, Rishi, Yavin, Hoth, Tython or some underwater ones inspired by Manaan. There are so many possibilities! If doors serve no purpose ie. don't open up to anywhere, then they should be removed. There are a couple of fake doors in the Retreat (see below images) that should be removed or lead to some additional rooms (preferably the latter). If possible, I would also like to see a small PvP area added to this Stronghold. It could be out of the way so those who aren't interested in PvP feel no need to enter or otherwise utilise the space (unlike in the Rishi Stronghold where the spaces are front and centre). I've even found a nice location for it. There is a nice hidden area up in the mountains you can climb to by the waterfall in the front area of the stronghold. It would need to be flattened a bit and some hooks placed up there but I think it could make a nice little, out-of-the-way duelling space. At the very least, some hooks should be added to this area. Something else that bothers me is the placement of rugs and ceiling lights that are part of the Stronghold and cannot be removed. I would prefer to see these removed especially the rug in the Throne Room. Players should be able to choose what rug or rugs they use in that space. Slightly unrelated but, I would like to see more tree, bush, plant, hedge and flower decorations (without the damn pots) too! This would be the perfect stronghold for them. --- Thanks for creating such a lovely Stronghold! I look forward to further testing in January! 20. Thanks for the Update, Keith! Really been enjoying the majority of Game Update 6.0 myself. Kudos to the team on a great story, incredible planets and lots of nice QoL changes. Really glad to hear there are adjustments coming to crafting (and possible gearing adjustments as well)? Both of these areas could really use some work/adjustments cause neither are enjoyable at all in their current state. Looking forward to what's to come in 6.1 and can't wait to get on the PTS again!

  23. Umm, the Conquest thing should've been announced sooner. I'm willing to bet there's a lot of Guilds like mine who've invaded large yield but won't be able to make 5 Million Conquest Points.
  24. So what's happening? Is the PTS coming back up today?
  25. Could you guys pretty please give us a way to buy augments and augment kits? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!
