I liked the "new" masks. It was the first time I'd ever seen them. One thing I didn't like was the fact that they blinked and the mouths moved. That was just... really creepy.

I have three on the PTS and I swear I only made one character over there to begin with and only had one copied. Bonus?

I pay ~$60 a month for unlimited internet in the midwestern US. I've seen my speeds vary from ~2mb/s-20mb/s. I'm not sure where that guy is that he's paying such a price. He might be on a cell phone provider's internet plan, which are horribly priced and not good for streaming/online gaming. *continues staring at server screen, waiting for ONLINE to appear*

How do you play online games then?

From what I understand, the PTS should be open soon (last I heard was a vague "couple of months") with the 1.3 patch up and ready along with character copies (possibly maybe, they didn't seem confident they could do it). This is probably the precursor to character transfers, testing if character copying can be done with critical success (you get an augment slot!). In the meantime, you could roll a new character on a different server with a different story so it's still fresh and new. I know it doesn't fix your problem, but you can still play on other servers while they're busy unbreaking the PTS. May I suggest Canderous Ordo? It's a lovely server.

I had a debate with someone in my guild over #1. My point was yours: this doesn't feel like an MMO. It's me doing my story and a whole bunch of other people doing the same/similar in the same space. We went back and forth for a bit before I realized I was getting no where and went to solo low level flashpoints because I have nothing else to do.

I was just thinking about this the other day when I was getting some orange gear for my companions. I've spent a lot of money over time into switching mods between better looking/matching armors. It's frustrating.

When I first started reading this, I thought it was stupid and poorly written. By chapter three I was hooked. The storytelling got better and I wanted more and you need to write more right now or I'll write you off. Right.

Playing a fallen Jedi who switched to the Imp side would be a lot more interesting that... rerolling a Sith. Rolling up a new toon would be different than, say, a level 50 fallen Jedi switching sides.

I agree, side shifting could be cool if done well.

I think I ran into that too. It was a level 50 patroling droid and I could do no damage. thing even killed my pet! I died, then snuck past in camo.

SimCity is just a one-off purchase, though. Maybe the profits are huge on it since it doesn't need to be updated as often as SW:ToR. The last SimCity I remember caring about was Societies. I played the crap out of that game when I bought it and I've thought about reinstalling it on this computer, but I'd have to take it out of a box somewhere in storage. It came out with one expansion after about six months then died off. The profits on SC must be huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge to prioritize it over something that is constantly evolving like SW:ToR and has a monthly fee.

SimCity? Really? The last SimCity I remember coming out was Societies. About 3-6 months later, they released an expansion pack that didn't have enough content to push me to purchase it. Shortly after that, the two were bundled with some other software. I could see Sims 3. I like Sims 3 and the expansions for that have rocked my face off so far... but... SimCity? Come on, EA. Come on.

The good thing about this downtime is that I can now nurse my cold and play with my baby and... who am I kidding? I'm going to be here for up to the minute updates until my husband shoves me off the computer and makes me nurse our child.

Patch to patch the patch blew up everything.
