  1. Imagine if there was pazaak in the cantinas or in that useless vip area on fleet? Everytime I go into the anchorhead cantina (which is only during bounty week) I consider uninstalling the game because its such a waste of star wars space. In swg they created a reason for players to visit cantinas by directly tying them to buffs and professions. Here there's just a few quests and then you can forget them, never to return if you so choose hence they are almost always empty.
  2. Armor tunings are a great idea. They seem to put the coolest effects on armors that are so ugly nobody wears them as it is.
  3. Could you make a prototype version of this one too like the pistol? I'm thinking remove the buttstock and the scope, change the color to matte black for a win. Possibly give it a different sound like the Rangehunter or just use the original sound. Definitely needs a good sound or at least a unique one.
  4. Now that's interesting. What are you imagining for a combat overhaul? Personally I could go for more tactics oriented gameplay---i.e. kneeling increases aim but weakens melee defense, that sort of thing. A hold shift to sprint feature in addition to whatever class based sprint maybe. Fighting, harvesting from mounts. More mount friendly ops and flashpoints. Honestly what needs overhauling the most IMHO is space combat. It just feels off. It doesn't bring about any special feeling of excitement just frustration and perhaps anxiety for me. I remember SWG JTL....my god. Now that was an experience from the way both combat and flight functioned to the visuals to the customizations. But by comparison, Freelancer, Freespace, Wing Commander, heck even Star Fox64 felt more natural and enjoyable. Ultimately though, if they truly wanted to deliver, they'd mirror Battlefront gameplay.
  5. This is actually a good idea. Reminds me of that long running Shae Vizla thread where somebody was like "See, little johnnie wants the shinies but he didn't sub at the right time to get the shinies now he wants the rules to change to accomodate him." I laugh when people try to claim exclusivity to anything in this game. Everything is basically just leased to the player. I say make everything available through some means or another. Honestly I think sub rewards in this game are bass ackwards. A sub reward should be free sub time, cartel coins, maybe an xp boost, or the like imo. Making story related content a limited time reward in a story based game was a bad idea.
  6. Good advice! Problem is---have you seen the way people trash my ideas and posts? Lol.
  7. Lol, yeah....I mean I already know 6.0 ain't gonna be enough to keep me subbed. I definitely intend to check it out but as soon as I get bored with it, I'm moving on. I just really don't want to see a repeat of nondevelopment periods and poor development choices. Not really worth going through it again imo.
  8. I'd be happy if a gear and level warning popped up when you queued for flashpoints.
  9. Rather than that, I wish there were repeatable ways in game to earn cc's. Starting new characters and switching servers to do that same old stuff for the cc achievement rewards is too limited and honestly boring. Also the referral link thing...meh..i don't have the social media presence for it to be viable, nor do I like "incentivizing" players to click my link through genchat. It would be nice though if there was some in game task you could perform that would earn you about 100 to 500 cc's per month as a hard limit, kind of like those masterwork crystals. Obviously the higher the number the more it would need to be legacy instead of per character.
  10. I imagine the main features for Onslaught and 6.0 are set in stone by this point. So here are some things I'd like to see EA/BW implement next. And I seriously hope what follows Onslaught doesn't end up being 2 years of class balance changes and minor quality of life updates 1) Swoop racing 2) Stronghold mini games 3) 100 percent revamp of all space combat to include group pve content 4) Radiant quest and evolving dungeon mechanics My suspicion at this point is that the F2P changes and the release of 6.0 are intended to hold us for one to two years without anything new. Although, I'm holding out hope 6.0 has a few major tricks up its sleeve that haven't been announced yet.
  11. This would be awesome, Anarchy Online style.
  12. So I didn't necessarily mean it had to be buffs or pay to win, those were examples. My emphasis in meaning is on differentiation.
  13. I don't expect this thread to incite any changes nor am I asking for any, just wanted to share my thoughts. So anyway I was thinking how much better it would be if the game's cash shop only sold things outside of the game realm. Things like consumables that add temporary abilities or benefits. An example would be an item that allows you to self rez in combat or a stim that buffs a whole ops group across multiple stats. Sometimes I feel like the cm is a rigged form of competition by bioware against the player lol. Namely because there are less attractive versions of most of that cm stuff in game. It just seems like overt greed when they could sell something completely different and let players find or craft all that cosmetic crap in game. TLDR: I'd like to see true market differentiation or product diversity going between the cm and the game economy. The cash shop shouldn't compete with the game market. They should be almost completely separate imho.
  14. I vote Commander Jensyn from Korriban. That dude is a bad mofo and a fitting companion for my darkside trooper.
  15. I'm down. Sign me up. She is easily my favorite companion from utility to voice acting. Good static lines too. Plus she's hawt.
  16. Nickle and dime is what they do indeed. Unlike most other games the focus here is always money....credits, command tokens, rep tokens, cartel coins, real dollars. Then there's outfit designer fees, gtn tax, repair fees, unlock fees, crewskill missiin fees...I mean its clear the surpreme overlord of dwvelopment was never thinking words like "fun" and "game" and especially not "end game" lol.
  17. End game for me is master mode flashpoint achievements and building wealth. Crafting goods, farming resources, and waiting on group finder to pop is about all I'm motivated to do at the moment.
  18. I was thinking some interesting routes would be cool too. Like racing through rakghoul tunnels, a tusken raider canyon, or even that purple Umbaran dreamscape. Kinda hard to believe they aren't taking full advantage of all the amazing content in the star wars ip/franchise that they can.
  19. What does it look like for you and what would you like to see? I ask because getting to level 70 can be done rather quickly.
  20. Ooo exactly! I had forgotten all about KOTOR's customizations.
