  1. Are there plans to have this fixed by 6.0? My ranged comps really don't get used outside of crewskills because of this.
  2. The swg model is way different from what I'm suggesting. In swg you could pick a plot of land on any planet almost and drop down a house. I'm suggesting an apartment entrance in some common locations. For example something like Jaxo's apartment, the agent apartment I mentioned, or even Kaliyo's place iirc.
  3. You are absolutely right! If they made them robust or various enough swtor could become what it was intended to be...the WoW killer. But not just WoW, a lot of mmos would no longer be able to compete.
  4. If they did this right, a lot of people would log in just to race, I'd bet.
  5. Yeah....I think my ignore list is quite large at the moment. It's been growing for some years lol. I might clean it up and see if some older names are still around and learned to play nice. I usually ignore people because they said something downright uncalled for so it might not work out lol. I suppose it's possible I'm on some ignore lists too due to wipes from lag, bad connections, or just personality clashes. Honestly I wish there was more control over the queue criteria.... If people could queue by minimum gear rating I bet quite a few problems would go away. Wait times might speed up if it was less of a guessing game as to what levels/gearings you'd wind up with.
  6. Lol I feel the same way. I don't tank or heal very much any more myself.
  7. I'd like to see something like that GSI daily on Ziost to the tune of Eternal Championship. Or it could span multiple planets like the gsi seeker missions from a terminal. I think that would be hot. Mechanics to implement might include temp mods and speed boosts or allow us to buy and upgrade speeders like gsf, making them only available for the races. Also some ambushes by creatures or raiders along the route could knock you off the bike, having to either affect repairs or fight. Rewards could include new titles, exotic crafting mats, and reputation for use at a swoop race vendor. Or...you could make this an event added to the monthly rotation. I'd really prefer you didn't because I like regular variety.
  8. The companion and global market ideas are great. I've been wanting those implemented for quite a while. I'm also a big supporter of opening up weapons to different classes. Scoundrels and rifles, vanguard and sniper rifles. It would get messy going from dual wield to single because of the animations and abilities but single to single should be easy enough for them to do.
  9. How long is everyone waiting for the mm fp queue to pop? It takes me any where from 30 mins to 2 hours on Starforge as dps. Usually 20 mins to an hour as heal spec. Can go either way as tank but usually within 30 mins.
  10. I had noticed that, yes, but there's an epic butt ton more items missing than what they have reskinned or made into cheap drops.
  11. I'd like to recommend an augment system for weapons to make them unique. For example with blasters and rifles there could be attachable augments that increase range, add a new type of shooting ability, or some kind of kolto shot. I'd like to see more variation in weapon use versus cosmetics and the regular sockets. It just seems like they shouldn't all serve the exact same purpose. (I.e. heaving a weapon stronger against droids, another for creatures, etc).
  12. It sounds like your aim is to create some kind of cross class hybrid. IMO a new class should have main abilities that aren't already covered. I'm not against a hybridized class but I'd like to see something really original. For example, and this is just an example, he mainhands a lightsaber but has offhand special abilities with a blaster (similar to shotguns or vibro knives). As a result he has less lightsaber abilities than a guardian, limited force abilities (one or two) and actually needs that offhand blaster.
  13. That would be cool too, but I'll take whichever is easiest for them to implement.
  14. I couldn't resist. You have a rifle, why be forced to stand so close? Plasmatech can stay close range but Tactics should be a little further back. I think 20 meter range on tactical surge and artillery blitz is reasonable. Who calls in an artillery strike exactly where they are standing? Kind of silly to me. Also using combat focus just for aim extensions is counter productive since it should be a part of your rotation. The cd is too long for it to have flexible use besides.
  15. I've tried on more than one occasion to get into gsf and it never caught on for me. Basically it came down to the following reasons: 1) The Ships: They're just not starwarsy enough for me. They look too generic and lack that iconic star wars appeal. They basically feel like bicycles for rent at a cheap resort. 2) Combat framing: The overall look on screen feels off to me compared to games that really nail space combat. Battlefront gets this right and even older games like Freespace, so why can't SWTOR? 3) No PVE: I was hoping for flashpoints in space with ships performing trinity roles of healer, dps, and tank. I just knew there would be trench runs of some kind, escort missions, and maybe some search and destroy objectives. Solely running it as pvp in space was a complete turnoff. Some solo missions would have been nice too. There's no way to practice before jumping into a match, its just a mess imo. 4) Companions: where do I begin? Are they back at base advising me? Are they beside me in the cockpit? Are they flying beside me? I didn't really get their involvement at all. Also really wished I could choose from my whole list of comps instead of whoever these guys are they introduce. Essentially it just doesn't play like a traditional space shooter experience, feels confusing and perhaps hastily thrown together. As far as star wars experiences go, they dropped the ball on this one. I wanted to feel like Luke getting set up for his attack run. Instead I just want to do something else soon after I enter a match.
  16. Shhhhh. Don't give them any more cartel market ideas.
  17. Hmm I guess I could see that but even still as an mmo with thousands of players why wouldn't they see a need for diversity of gear beyond the cartel market? I mean jeeez, nobody wants to look exactly like all the other players in an mmo and they obviosly know that. I get this feeling this was all done to funnel players to the cm....
  18. That makes sense, but why not reintroduce those items on generic vendors for credits instead of tokens or just flashpoint and world drops?
  19. That makes a whole lot of sense. My only gripe is that the incentive to play that content is that it should be good or at least fresh content. Class ship missions for example were never all that enjoyable and now look at how old they are lol.
  20. From world drops to mission rewards to vendor items. They weren't replaced. They aren't on the cartel market. Nor are they on new vendors. What gives?
  21. Take all the orange items that have been removed and add them as schematics please.
  22. 99.9 percent of the time they contain a paltry sum of credits and a junk item for the vendor, maybe a crap resource. Put all the orange items that were taken out back in these chests or something, please.
  23. .......you know for a company looking for subs there sure is a lot of half heartedness going on.
  24. Another facet to my idea is that this way your sh is part of an existing environment that you can enter and exit istead of a magically removed instance that requires teleportation to reach. Currently I don't like how you really have no idea where in the world your sh actually is lol.
