  1. How 'bout this; we can choose the WZ we want but the devs give us a que monitoring tool. So we can see which WZ is closest to popping. And instead of selecting a single WZ, it could be "check all that apply". So someone who doesn't like Hutt ball can Q for NC, CW and VS and which ever one goes first is the one he/she plays.
  2. How about issuing tragic tickets to people who park their giant, petty ***** compensating cars on top of the mail box on the fleet? I'd also like to start a loan sharking business. If people don't make their payments on time, my companions show up on his/her ship or wherever they are and attack them. Juggernauts should have the ability to give sorcerers wedgies.
  3. There is also a character limit. It might be too long.
  4. We are going to have a "secret Santa" gift exchange in our guild. We will match up players with other players of the same faction and level range and they will go out and farm, craft or buy A gift for another player. If you want to celebrate the holidays in the game, find a creative way to do so.
  5. Jerks will be jerks. Try to just look on the positive side and think of the extra XP you will get for fighting 6 more enemies working on the next node. On a positive note, the other day, I was running up to a gathering node and someone came from a different direction and got to it before me. I didn't really care but then I get a whisper saying something to the effect of; "sorry I didn't see you. You can have the crystals if you want." See? There are decent people in game! So impressed was I with the offer that I declined, citing the "finders keepers" rule and "there are plenty of other crystals out there" BTW, what that guy did to you is called "ninjaing" as in to ninja. Its a part of life in the MMO world. If you don't like people to do it to you, don't do it to anyone else.
  6. My guild has chapters for both factions and we have become quite adept at using the legacy system to increase the effectiveness of our resource sharing. Playing on a different server would defeat that.
  7. It is possible, even likely, that poor judgement in prioritization is what led to his real life problems. Although it could be something out of his control like a bad accident or something.
  8. Why can't we bring our companions with us into PVP? I'd like to see some smart Alec jugg deal with Qyezn Fess while I romance Vette!
  9. Its so nice that 6 of us are all together guarding this node. Oh look 4 enemy players are dog piling the healer. Now would be a great time to channel hatred, seethe, recuperate or [whatever it is a bounty hunter does].
  10. I have looked and looked but can't seem to find an answer. Are the cartel coins account wide, as in each character shares them or are they per character? It says I will get 1550 cartel coins. Do each of my characters get them? Just one Character? When I buy something with them, does it deduct from a central pool attached to my legacy? Can I mail them to other characters in my legacy?
  11. I've played all the starter planets several times and I was interested in hearing what everyone's favorite starter planet is. Here is my opinion from least favorite to most favorite (Apologies for the spelling): If you haven't played all 4 starter planets, there are spoilers in here.
  12. Jedi Covenant has the same problem. 3 of my characters (2 empire, 1 republic) can't get their companions back from missions. I tried to cancel the mission but nothing happened. Some of the companions returned but I didn't get any goodies from them. The timer bar is all the way to the right but no time remaining is displayed. I guess I will put in a ticket(s).
  13. This thread will probably get moved to the inquisitor forums but I will take a shot at it...
  14. It also needs to be added that 10,000 affection does not automatically get you the presence buff. You have to finish all conversations and quests for a particular companion. If you get your companion to 10,000 at a low level, you still might not get it because a conversation or quest can only occur after a certian point in the story line. Generally speaking, I have noticed that not all companions require 10,000 affection to complete. Most of them seem to max out around 9,200 to 9,800. To find out if you have completed everything for a particular companion, open up your legacy window and click on "Imperial Classes" (republic classes for the light side, obviously). You will notice 5 companion slots under each class. If the companion's picture is in one of those slots, then you have it.
  15. Are you absolutely positive that you were spelling the name properly? Are you both in the same faction? I ran the first flashpoint with a F2P player and we didn't have any trouble grouping up.
  16. I'm sure the flames I receive for this post will legendary but.... If you cannot afford $15 per month for a subscription, there may be more pressing issues in your life besides SWTOR. I'm not rich but I make enough money to afford my subscription. If $15 per month were really a financial hardship for me, I wouldn't be the least bit concerned with MMO's. I would be focusing all of energy into finding a way to increase my income. I don't know the OP's story, maybe he/she is not old enough to work. In which case, it might fall to the parent(s)/guardian to pony up the money. If it is a financial hardship for the parent(s)/guardian can't afford $15 per month then, again, why are you worrying about MMOs? Playing an MMO is a luxury and, fair or not, I can afford this luxury because of a combination of the first world country I live in and the hard work I have put into my education and career. There other luxuries in life, such as a yacht or private airplane that I cannot (yet, hopefully) afford. Maybe you could use SWTOR as a motivation to find a way to earn enough money to pay for a subscription.
  17. I think you can buy the schematics to craft some battle master and war hero gear from the vendors.
  18. I have a "banker" toon. I send all the goodies to be sold and excess credits to this toon and concentrate my money there. Then I dish it out as needed to the alts. Having a central location that is accessible to all my characters would be wonderful. It would also eliminate the 5 credit fee per email message to my alts.

  20. Companions also come back crew skill missions with incoherence kits for chest, hands, feet, wrists and off hand sometimes. Fairly rare but it happens.
  21. This doesn't sound like a "new player help" thread to me. I would suggest opening up ticket and reporting your trouble. Gratz on winning 4 Huttball matches in a row.
  22. I am 99% sure you are correct. The only thing I would add is; they may have to weigh a cost to resource scenario. If they let everyone have 100 character slots for a one time price, all of those characters might sap server resources and and their is no additional income to support the resources needed. So they might make $100 million in the first month but then be permanently saddled with maintaining all of those characters. I am interested in all the creative names that people will come up with for their new characters.
  23. As a lightly armed healer, I really liked having a 7 foot tall lizard dude who thought I was his messiah and zealously practicing a religion that dictates he kill everything that might present a challenge. On the sith side, it was also nice to have a 9 foot tall murder machine at my side...but he keeps threatening to eat me.
  24. Absolutely wonderful idea! I would also support being able to buy inheritance kits for my lower level alts.
