  1. The suggested solution was the ball carrier not getting the current ball slow debuff all together which means you are actually walking the same speed as everybody else so there would be no need for you to be sped up at all. Hence the encourage the ball passing part. Now If I had forgotten to mention the enemy pulls then let it be any movement impairments or aids be completely deflected or disabled. And please do take note that this suggested solution only applies to The Current Ball Carrier. Consulars could still rescue someone to position them in preparation for a pass. Knights could still leap somewhere where there's a target visible and push off enemies while anticipating an upcoming pass.
  2. I find this very hard to believe because I've had this bug all figured out and hadn't had any problems upon using the walk around to it. You don't need to go to a different node to reset, you just have to take a few steps away from the defensive area and re-enter. Only things I could think of on why you're not getting your defensive points are : A. You are outside the defensive box. B. You aren't staying inside of the defensive box long enough to acquire defensive points.
  3. Why make ball carriers immune to knockbacks? Immunity from knockbacks can be acquired through resolve. If you say ball carriers who has knockbacks skills gets those skills disabled whilst carrying the ball then that would make more sense than being immune to knockbacks.
  4. This only occurs in Civil War when you use the Express Speeders to get to your controlled turret. So like what the previous poster said, right after you land if you have time move back like 10m away from the turret defense zone and then re-enter the zone. You should be able to get your defensive points from then on. Now if you take the normal way of walking towards your owned west or east turret from mid or from underneath the tunnel then you shouldn't have any problems with getting defensive points.
  5. Q&A May 11, 2012 I am sorry but I just find this response to be hilarious. All top PvP players in any server knows that HUTTBALL is the only Warzone that trumps skill vs composition. Having neither a consular nor a knight in a game of huttball VS an opposing team with either or having both the mentioned classes pretty much sums up the result of the WZ before it had even started. The statistics mentioned (top 100 win ratios), I'm wondering if this was specifically the WIN RATIO from only huttball itself. Because I'm lead to believe that if the team composition of majority if not full consulars and knights aren't even in the top 100 WIN RATIO compositions for huttball that the data gathered is definitely false OR there must really be too many people lacking skills playing the specified classes in the game of huttball. The issue is that the Obstacles in HUTTBALL could easily be disregarded by the 2 classes. There are 3 levels of floors starting from the pit (trench) up until the highest floor (3rd). Picture it and just imagine how knights could just bypass most of the pathway and obstacles provided they have a visible target to leap to, now compare it with the other 3 classes. How much path must these 3 classes travel to be able to get to the 2nd level from the pit? Or from the 2nd level to the 3rd? Now the sages on the other hand do need to travel to a designated spot before they could help a team member bypass these obstacles/pathway with their rescue but still the point is again the obstacles could be disregarded. The suggested solution is simple, Ball Carrier no matter what class it may be it just cannot use any mobility aid. Take the slow debuff off of the ball and make ball carriers run at normal combat speed. Cannot leap cannot be rescued, let all classes walk the path they should be walking to score. Encourage the use of the feature "Throw the Huttball" and let players learn how to really pass effectively and position themselves whilst guarding their posts rather than right after getting the ball have the mentality of "OH WE HAVE A GUARDIAN PASS IT TO HIM AND HE SHOULD BE ABLE TO TAKE CARE OF THE REST". This is of course just my opinion.
  6. So it's simple, just to gather up some statistics. Comment about how often you PvP, state the server you play at and if you want to say some other stuff about PvP in your server please do so. I'll start. Corellian Run - Republic Lazy day = 3 - 8 matches Whole day of PvPing or Weekends = minimum of 15 matches and goes up to maybe 25 matches
  7. If they don't fix commandos by 1.3 I'll unsub.
  8. Oh my god! I was just pvping and I just saw the COMMANDO'S UNIQUE ABILITY! STEALTH SCAN!
  9. I'd trade heavy armor for all the things Commandos lack any day.
  10. I'm sorry wrong section of forums. I might have zoned out.
  11. I've played 4 matches post patch 1.2.3 and I've noticed the drop on COMMS gain. 30 Less average. Any comments? I mean it wasn't on the patch notes.
  12. 1. Rated Warzones 2. Cross Server PvPing 3. Auto LFG PvE Queueing (ex. A default Queueing system for Flashpoints with a composition of 2 dps, 1 healer and 1 tank which would automatically pop up if the players chosen categories for FP's matches with others.) 4. Lots and lots of BUG FIXES! And reworks on contents to make them more accessible to people especially casual players. 5. New tier of armors that would actually look cool instead of making players look hilariously stupid. 6. PROPER rebalancing of ALL classes if need be and not like how they nerf a single class one by one or a single tree from one class. ( I really do not like the change they made with commandos/mercenaries which made a lot of commandos/mercenaries retire and a lot of sentinels/marauders arise ) 7. Server Transfers if still necessary.
  13. Well the bug squashers aren't really doing a good job are they?! Every frikkin patch they release tends to break a lot more stuff than fixes. It isn't fun to play whatever content they release if it is buggy. Point is, they should be focusing more on fixing the mess they make post 1.2 release before they start talking about or release another huge patch with new contents. When 1.2 was released of course BW was expecting a warm embrace from players and a rising population but instead majority of people were disappointed with the released content and a lot of people started cancelling subscriptions. Fixing known issues should be highly prioritized rather than rushing into another content hoping it would revitalize the dying population.
  14. I want to see what happens on the 2nd quarter when big games come out.
  15. Nobody is talking about low levels here, thread starter clearly stated 16-18k HP which means High-End PvP! Low level PvP doesn't matter so l2p.
  16. So far what he said has all been nothing but the truth. Still giving BW a chance to prove him wrong though. Just a couple more months of faith and hope.
  17. Bring out em big cannons! And then shoot out bubbles....
  18. I'd actually say the PvP grind is necessary, if you want to be at the top you gotta work hard for it. Plus the experience from 500 PvP games gives you crucial learning about strategies, compositions and what not. The expertise feature is just basically a race to the top. It will end at one point and people would eventually be able to catch up with gear but they'd just have to work harder. Now that being said, I really think this whole PvP thing just seems really a bit hard right now because of other outside factors such as server population and the limitation it gives every PvP player or any player who would like to try PvP. If cross server queueing was implemented and RATED PvP came with it then I definitely think PvP would be more fun for everyone. Geared people would be on a premade group vsing other geared premades from different servers and not keep on repeatedly VSing your own servers elite premade opposing faction. And while Rated PvP's are taking place, normal and casual players are given the chance to experience PvP in a more fair way by doing normal PvP's where they vs people from other factions as well who are just as geared up as they are, hence not having the 700 expertise deficit. I hope you do get my point because I really couldn't be bothered to detail it all out. Now the REAL PROBLEM is PvE! This is killing TOR IMO. The content that BW is releasing is just absurd. Casual gamers or beginners even would never be able to ENJOY the content of end-game. First, it's stupid that you pretty much need the gear drop equivalent of the instance to be able to do it. You need majority Columi pieces to be able to finish an instance that drops mostly Columi pieces with ease. The battle and strategies for each Operation bosses needs to be close to being really precise with what needs to be done to be able to beat them. The newest content for example (EC), in my server the top guild can't even finish it and they have full rakatas & some campaign or BH gear and spend something like 4-6 hours with each attempt in probably 3 different days. This is insane! It's just not accessible for everybody. They want you to be elite gamers before you get to finish their content. I remember the bonus boss of False Emperor on our first time doing it, took us 20 wipes just to learn that we really had to have majority of tionese and some columi to beat him with ease and he drops SH*T! I mean really? They make some of these bosses really hard and they turn out to give you crappy drops anyways or you're going to have to surpass what they drop greatly before you could actually kill em hence no progression. It's just a real mess right now, it really is.
  19. Legacy 1.2 is a fail I agree. The legacy unlocks are definitely useless except for the cross faction mailing and the level 1 sprint. Everything else is a big fail. It seemed cool before it came out but when it actually did, pppppffffffttt! Nothing but disappointment.

    Is SWTOR dying?

It is dying. Now... What would server pops be when GW2 finally comes out?
  21. I'd tell you to play another character or try the assault tree for now while gunnery is broken.
  22. Serpentine across the WZ map just like what Will Farrel did with the dinosaur from Land of the lost. It should confuse your enemies right?
