  1. In short: Keyboard turning = BAD Keyboard strafing = GOOD I keyboard strafe and *gasp!* click , but also hotkey and mouse-turn: LIKE A BOSS!
  2. In BC, I used to stealth to the Nagrand Flightmaster on top of the Alliance inn with my Rogue and gank people as they disembarked (usually AFK). Then I'd kill the Flightmaster and gank people trying to fly out. Then I'd kill the innkeeper and vendors. I'd also stealth into Stormwind with a group of chums and chain-gank the Flightmaster, which usually resulted in a massed brawl (and people falling into the moat). This was doubly entertaining after server reset, when guilds wanted to fly out from Stormwind to Kara. Good times.
  3. Flightmasters should be killable. That would take the griefing to a whole new level.
  4. Once you get to lvl40, you will have filled out the synergistic Rage abilities and (by stacking Surge and Power) be able to feed massive Smash auto-crits. I got to lvl43 (which was the previous synergy benchmark) a couple of months ago and have had too much fun wrecking people in PVP to do anything else with the character.
  5. Those damn teams of Operatives are still stunlocking people to death and causing them to quit the game! The game's least-played class clearly needs even MORE nerfs, as being completely gutted in 1.2 obviously wasn't enough! Where is Georg Zoeller when you need him?
  6. Sniper is a solid PVP class that is fun to play and can completely humiliate the typical FotM reroll Marauder, along with most other classes. Sniper is also a VERY tricky class to play well in PVP and requires a degree of skill to cycle CCs and keep melee off you, while running and gunning between cover. Unfortunately, the typical Sniper's mentality tends to look something like this: "I R A TURRET!!!1"
  7. As someone who has PVP'd extensively with an Operative, Juggernaut and now a Sniper, I would have to say that Snipers are by far the most challenging to play well. You have to juggle a large number of CCs while shifting in and out of Cover and maintaining range. Most Snipers are terrible, though
  8. Marauders take a degree of skill to play well, but there has been a massive explosion in numbers solely because they were identified as the latest imbalanced FotM class leading up to 1.2 Except that Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader were single-sabre Knights and Warriors, while Marauders dual-wield like ummmmmm....uhhhhhhhhhhh....ummmmmmmmmm....Count Dookie?
  9. Uhhhhhhhh...what??? You mean apart from Flashbang (8sec AOE mez), groin kick (4sec stun), Cover Pulse (knockback and root), Leg Shot (root) and Ambush (knockback)?
  10. Indeed. Type 4 is the 'Black' bodytype.
  11. This is pretty much the no-brainer spec for PVP. Concealment can be effective (and fun) in PVP, but it is badly gimped compared to a lot of other classes and playing one is a constant struggle against the inherent limitations of Operatives. Lethality is only good for whoring AOE damage in Voidstar.
  12. "You realise she's insane, right?"
  13. The core of your typical EZmode FotM preform is currently Tankassin, healer Operative, Marauder. (the 4th spot would probably go to another Marauder, all things being equal)
  14. Energy generation got gimped to hell. Hidden Strike knockdown seems to only last for 0.5sec now What are these 'patch notes' you speak of? This. I get stuck in combat waiting for the gate to drop after respawning.
  15. Let's see, on my Juggernaut I can Force Charge to opposing players, use Obliterate to jump to opposing players and Intercede to jump to friendly players. I also have an AOE mez (Intimidating Roar) and a spammable AOE snare (Chilling Scream) and can knock people off platforms and into hazards with Force Push. But Flashbang makes all the difference, right? LOL!
  16. Assassins are better than Concealment in virtually every way. Lethality is a JOKE in PVP. Healer Operatives are great however and are the new FotM. BWHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!!! Operatives are hands down THE worst class in Huttball because they have no gap-closer or push/pull and have weak defensive cooldowns. Plus their big damage abilities are highly positional.
  17. The denial on this thread is exquisite. This. LOL@using a fully PVE tank-specced and geared parse as an example of how Tankassin's PVP damage output is 'fine'...
  18. Lethality is a comedy spec that is only good for farming AOE damage in Voidstar. The Operative class is BROKEN, unless you are a healer.
  19. My point is that they aren't nearly as bad as people claim and have a lot of tricks up their sleeve. I mean seriously, a lvl11 getting 2nd-top damage.
  20. LOL...you don't even have a Scoundrel/Operative and you whine on other threads that Operatives are 'overpowered': "powertech is weak and yes I think they should nerf classes overpower like operative." -Jedi_Gamer http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=3685684#post3685684 Go troll somewhere else.
  21. Let me start by saying LOL@the people posting healer and Lethality scoreboards as 'proof' that Operatives are 'fine'. But I'm a Baddie, right? Oh wait, here's me putting out 400k as Concealment in 1.2: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y74/Squatdog/SWTOR%20BS/swtor555.jpg To get that, I had to fight the limitations of the class every step of the way and was constantly running out of energy, even during single-target burst (Operative's class role). The Backstab nerf sucks. The unlisted Hidden Strike knockdown nerf sucks, The unlisted energy nerf is game-breaking and totally uncalled for. I guess I shouldn't even post this, because Georg Zoeller will interpret it as 'teams of Operatives stunlocking people and causing them to quit the game'...
