  1. Quinn is pretty aggressive too when it comes to fighting when he's in heal mode. He's rank 50 and there's times I engage in a fight and two seconds later the fight is done cause he healed me, shot mobs in the *** and was just all around bad ***. I've noticed, and it could just be me THINKING this is what's happening, if you have a companion in a stance they originally used to be before KOTFE and the companion change, then no matter what rank they are they kick massive ***. But if they're in a stance they never were originally, they're bad *** but not as bad ***. Could just be me and having almost 30 rank 50 companions (2 years and LOTS of companion gifts).
  2. As I said, Arcann being a friend or a member of the Alliance is cool with me. If I didn't want him or didn't want to help redeem him, I would have killed him and been done with it. I just don't want to romance him. I don't think I could handle it right now (I might be able to further down the road). I know everyone in the game from our companions, to our alliance members, to Theron, Lana, Koth, Arcann, US, aren't perfect or goody two shoes. I get that. Even with my characters being light 5 they've still said or done a few things that I personally in real life wouldn't do and in fact would take offense to, (and just about nothing offends me). But I don't know. Maybe it's because they're okay giving Arcann a romance, but our original companions' romance is kind of meh at the moment. They took Theron and as of today, he's seen as a HUGE traitor to the Alliance. Quinn has nothing on Theron's betrayal at the moment. 5.8 or 5.9 or even 6.0 could be he IS a double agent. My point, there's just something about Arcann I don't find attractive. It's not his voice, or his looks, my real life husband will never be on the cover of GQ, but it's his past, him putting my toon in carbonite. His family being nuts, killing people, etc. Arcann WAS less crazy *** insane than his sister and father (in his own way), but I'm just not a romance fan. But that doesn't mean that someone who wants to romance him shouldn't. There's people who love crazy insane Dark Jaesa, I don't, I prefer Light Jaesa. There's people who love and would marry if it were possible, Khem Val, I sure as hell don't. And there's some, serious, or joking, who want Vaylin to somehow come back so they can romance her (I'd be afraid of her ripping a guy's junk off) but I'm not one who wants to. So, I welcome the romance for Arcann for those who want to. Just as I would welcome a romance with Scourge for those who want him, even though I'd never in a billion years romance Scourge. It has nothing to do with looks, because I use default Andronikos and Corso looks and my Inquistor and Smuggler romanced them respectively.
  3. I have nothing against those who have a thing for Arcann. (Course if these are the same people who don't like Quinn, I'll have to smack them cause Quinn did nothing compared to Arcann) But as some have said, I just can't hook up with a guy (game or real) who did so much crap to the galaxy. I let him and his mom live because I think Arcann can be redeemed and I have nothing against Senya. Just like all my toons who went through the expansions have Koth alive and well. But I'm not romancing a guy who had major daddy issues and took it out on the galaxy or had me frozen for 5 years, effectively ruining my life and my companions' lives. If there's those who want to have Arcann be their baby's daddy or boyfriend, they can. I'm not saying they can't. But you won't see me doing it unless I play a truly evil character who didn't kill Arcann but wants to make him their sugar daddy.
  4. Yeah the scars don't bother me, my real life husband has big scars from surgeries and such. It's Arcann's personality and what he did before redeeming himself that turns me off.
  5. I never ever see it as playersexual, I see it as het, bi, gay, lesbian, etc. Of course in the game it's actually playersexual, but in the RPness of my mind it's one of the above. Game wise, truthfully I'm not surprised new companions or npcs are playersexual. Makes life easier for the devs. RPwise, making everyone (playersexual) or not different types of sexuality is off putting. I like variety. Cytharat on Makeb was gay. Lana/Theron/Koth are bisexual. Vanilla companions are heterosexual. And some npcs you can sleep with from Vanilla to now are whatever. I just like variety for everyone in general. Now, on an rp side where I get into the companions' heads, I can see Arcann being bisexual. (Or game play wise playersexual). As I said, it's the variety that intrigues me more than 'I can romance character A, B, C, D, etc!!'
  6. If I were to total the amount of cartel coins I've purchased, it'd probably be like $2000. Been subbed for 6 years so $1080. Then the expansions I had to purchase at the time, so about $100 there, then buying the game straight up from disc I think? Or was it electronically? That was $40 cause I bought the deluxe edition. So about $4000 ish. Been here 6 years straight, always paid my sub. Never left. I left WoW for this game and haven't gone anywhere. Though I do wish they'd release new content, big or small, quicker, cause even running 11-50 toons through it (depending on what it is) does get boring.
  7. I'm a woman, and I'm not atm pining for Arcann. I wouldn't mind seeing it on youtube, but I won't have any of mine romancing him any time soon. Maybe one of my pure evil toons if I take them through the entire arc from Forged Alliances to whenever Arcann is romanceable. Speaking of, is Arcann going to be heterosexual or bisexual like Lana, Theron and Koth? As much as I love the idea of someone for everyone, if they keep making new companions bisexual it'll annoy me because not everyone is bisexual. I mean if they do make Arcann bisexual, fine, but just not every single new companion.
  8. My main toons, which are 8 of them and female, romanced and kept the romance going with their original husbands. (Those we've gotten back so far). My two male characters are romancing Theron. I had my male sith pureblood agent dump Temple (the game thought I wanted to marry her just cause I was flirting with her) so he could stay with Theron. On 11 people I've taken through Forged Alliances through SoR, through Ziost, KOTFE/KOTET, Iokath, Umbara and Copero, I let Arcann live along with Senya. I don't mind being his buddy or partner in fighting, but I have zero interest in romancing him. Not because of looks or anything, but one he DID kill everyone under the sun, and two I DO like Arcann in some respects, but not enough to romance him. He just rubbed me wrong. If others want to romance him, for whatever reason, have fun, but not I. Now if something happens to Theron, which I hope won't happen because I truly believe he's just a double agent and I'm only mad at him for not letting me know *** he was planning, then either I'll romance Koth if I can, the next NPC to come along, or if I have to, maybe Arcann. But I perfer Theron to Arcann.
  9. This is how I do the fight and I've done it about 10 times. I run to the wall, put my back to it, and wedge my butt into one of the corners. Then whatever class I'm playing (cause they can be melee or range), I engage her. Then (because I'm light side so I have Arcann and Senya helping me), I have Senya on heals (if I'm not a healer) and Arcann is just a second follower. I start whacking on Vaylin, dropping my turret or anything else I got from talking to my companions as I ran through to get to Vaylin. I use Arcann's abilities to help with the fight against Vaylin. When Vaylin begins to cast the ability that stuns us, I stun break her if I can. I just keep whalloping her until we get to the cutscene where she's whining about me not taking her throne, blah blah. And I'm done. Just keep your butt against the wall tucked into a corner and don't move from there. Pretend you're tanking. (Tanks keep their backs against the wall at all times (or try to)).
  10. I think those people just don't know how to play. There have been tons of class nerfs and I still keep playing just fine in pvp, operations, flashpoints, solo, etc and I have 50 toons in different class/spec combos.
  11. Everytime someone mentions SWG, take 4 shots. Everytime someone mentions the game sucks but continues to play/pay, take 3 shots. Everytime someone writes a doom/gloom thread, take 2 shots. Everytime someone mentions another SW MMO from a different company, take 10 shots. Everytime someone hates on Quinn, take 6 shots. Everytime someone posts about them leaving the game for whatever reason instead of just leaving, take 5 shots. Everytime someone says they hate story in general from a BIOWARE story driven game, take 20 shots. Everytime someone trolls the forums, talking about things they have no idea about, take 1 shot. Enjoy your alcohol poisoning.
  12. They are companions NOT pets. Pets are animals like wolves or birds. Companions are people, NPCs or people you control, but they're NOT pets. Please don't call companions pets.
  13. I'm a female and I play female toons. My more dark sided toons have more skimpy outfits while my light sided toons don't show as much. But that's my personal choice. The gear is there, it's just a game, and I'll dress my girls or even my guys however I want to. I'm all for equality in real life between men and women, but in this game? How is it not equal? My female Sith Warrior can kick as much *** as my Male sith warrior so what's the problem? The armor? All one has to do is either cover one's self from head to toe or they can show as much as the game allows. Have you seen our character's underwear? It's not exactly sexualized underwear. It's basically granny panties and a granny sports type bra.
  14. As a game player, I say my characters can be any damn combo I want. Lore wise, it's weird cause my Sith Warrior is human, and her siblings are an Adopted Chiss Agent sister (adopted at age 2), a Sith Inquisitor (who game wise was a slave (my backstory is she was kidnapped as a young child)), a Republic Trooper, a Bounty Hunter (all are her sisters and aside from the Agent, are all human). My Warrior's daughter with Quinn, is a smuggler. So, I say do what you want and play around with the game story and your own back story. Anything is possible.
  15. I loved this quest chain. I think it was when The Shroud first came out. (Been so long I don't remember for sure). The ONLY thing I would ask they change, is that people can't butt camp the boxes again. That was a pain in the *** at the time when you needed to loot the boxes and people were literally camping them.
  16. My Chiss Jedi is the daughter of my Agent and Vector, so for her, technically, she's half human. But I still liked that Saganu was like 'oh it's okay, you're different' when she's like 'gee thanks' when he mentions Chiss Force Sensitives are exiled, etc.
  17. I don't have worst companions, because I like to treat my companions like real people. (Yes, I know they're video game characters, but I still treat them like real people in the game...makes rping easier) My most favorite companions: Andronikos Quinn Doc Corso Torian Tharan C Theron S Vector Jorgan My I like them, but not as a favorite companions: Kira Lana Koth Arcann Senya Iresso T7 Vette Jaesa (LS) Risha Forex Companions who I don't like all that much, but I don't hate: Skadge Scourge Akaavai Kaliyo Mako Gault Ashara Khem Val Talos Broonmark Pierce Jaesa (DS) Doctor Lokin Temple Scorpio Xalek Blizz Rusk Qyzen Nadia Zenith Guss Bowdarr
  18. There's a third name, I think it's Occulus, not 100% sure. But it's for pure neutrals. I'm talking no dark or light, just straight down the middle. My Inquisitor is Imperius, but I know there's the Occulus out there. With the dark/light toggle now, not sure how it'll happen, probably harder than before.
  19. The game didn't really start acknowledging what species you were until about Shadow of Revan. And again in Copero. Before that you were one of two categories human/pureblood or alien.
  20. Normally I would say you didn't do something in the game you should have, but I'm not surprised if it is actually a bug, because my Inquisitor, who MAYBE flirted a whole twice with Theron from Forged Alliances up to KOTFE, and I got the break up quest for him when I took Andronikos back. So I don't know.
  21. Eh, I thought this too until Jorgan joined every swinging dick out there. He HATES the Empire, and yet Imperial classes get him as a companion (unless they kill or exile him). But he chose to stick around. So some companions won't care and others will.
  22. IIRC on Alderaan you do or kill the general chick, then talk to some squirrley guy. I don't remember if you actually see her parents on Alderaan, but I believe you do. Then Baras talks to you on your ship and you get Jaesa from Hutta. Did you try resetting the quest? It won't reset everything just about a scene or two up to that point. Cause you could be missing something.
  23. This is why I don't group. Oh I have nothing wrong with people who do group and enjoy being in groups, but for me? Pfft, no. I want all the credits and loot. I put my time and energy into the flashpoint or whatever, I want guaranteed something from it. I don't like waiting on people. Most people have to feed the baby, walk the dog, drop a deuce, make breakfast/lunch/dinner, whatever. My time is valuable to me. If I want to skip all cutscenes, I can and it's fast. If I want to sit my big butt there and watch every single cutscene, I can. I can use my companions, or I can be just me, or I can get up from the middle of the flashpoint to feed the cat, smoke a cig, whatever, without someone rushing me (just like so I don't rush them in a group) As I said, grouping is fine for those who want to, but there's times I just don't want to be social. I might be sick, might be in a bad mood, might be whatever. So I like to solo. Same with the stories in the game. It's MY story, I don't want to do the stories with people. Others can like it if they want, of course, some people won't play without their significant other or their spouse or sibling, but I don't like to group for anything. The only things I don't mind and sort of have to group for are operations and the harder flashpoints. Otherwise, I solo.
  24. Yeah, I liked the Andronikos romance scenes they were nice and slightly unique. I also like the other ones too. I'll talk about them and put them in spoilers cause it'll be long.
  25. True which is why it's annoying that (before the betrayal arc) neither Lana or Theron, two supposedly spies, or 1.5 spies (Lana sucks being a spy from Ziost and such) couldn't help us look for our old crew, especially our spouses. I'm pretty sure Lana and Theron KNOW we were married (think only the Agent was secretive about it) and if they weren't sure, like with the Agent, they could have asked Kaliyo or Scorpio or Doctor Lokin. Can't hide getting it on with one of the other crew members on a small ship with 6 people on board (you and 5 companions). I just see it as slightly sloppy writing. Not completely, but slightly. Like they didn't think it through completely. I know in the first year after we were unfrozen we had more important things to do, but during chapter 9 when Theron came back, and we got our original ship back, and we were just kind of chilling, they could have looked for our crew. Chapter 10 of KOTFE has Theron telling us about Havoc, and on our Trooper he suddenly forgot we were IN havoc??
