  1. Okay, I am totally loving this. I'm so glad the Wrath is good friends with everyone. =D My Sith Juggernaut is level 44 and light side IV. She's just married and talked legacy with Quinn and now he's sending her love letters. lol The weird thing is, apart from the grocery shopping and 80s movies, this all seems familiar in my head canon as well. Except my Sith and Quinn are married and have a kid who Vette and Jaesa baby sit. Jaesa and Vette share Pierce and Broonmark is in his icy quarters. lol So, I'm totally loving this. May I use your ideas (mainly the parodying each class) to write my own? I have 8 characters, one of each class, and so far 4 have their hunnies and kids in my head and 4 don't yet. But my trooper hasn't gotten that far with Jorgan yet. My Smuggler, Sith War and Imp Agent have married and received love letters. My imp agent married the youngest, she finished chap 2 at 36. heh But enough about me! You rock and PLEASE keep going. I would LOVE to see more interaction between the Wrath and Quinn, but then I find his default looks hot for a computer drawn character. Good job!!!
  2. People unsub for some really god awful reasons, don't they?
  3. You people will never be happy. You whine because there are bugs/exploits/poor performance. So Bioware tries to fix these things and has to bring down the servers to do so. Then you people whine because you can't play. This isn't Burger King, you can't have it your way all the time. Which is more important? The servers coming down for a few hours or you continuing to play and whine with bugs and such still in the game? Yes, it sucks that they do maintenance during some countries' prime times. But if Bioware's employees are up during your prime time, that's when they go to work and do that fixing. They're working on a Saturday just like you to fix the issues. Watch tv or play a console game while they do the patch. It's not like it's going to be down for weeks. Just a few hours.
  4. I forgot about that part! When I first got an ingame mail from an NPC I was like 'woot!' Almost every little thing you do, good or bad, in the game someone you killed/helped mails you. I've gotten credits, companion gifts and even weapons/armor from my decisions. THIS is why I continue to play!
  5. My two servers are always Standard or Heavy.
  6. Because this game is awesome! Let me explain why I say this. First, Bioware, I am LOVING the story lines of the side quests and of the class story. Even if I have to do the same side quests 50 times, they never really get old. Mostly because my Smuggler may say things in a different way from my Trooper, or my Jedi. Yes, the side quests are all the same, but the way my characters interact are completely different. You make me feel like I AM this character I am playing. Well done there. I write stories myself and I completely love the way I feel immersed in the stories. Good job. Second, I LOVE that we can not only have intimate relationships with our companions, but the ones who we don't get that close with, have their own back stories and quests they can give us. I spent a few credits and bought some low level affection items to give my companions I don't utilize as I quest except to craft for me and already they all wanted to speak to me and tell me about their past lives. You all have made me feel as if my companions are family. Not MY family, but my character's family. Thirdly, I am really enjoying the space combat. Sure it's pretty simple and feels mostly like a first person shooter arcade type game, but it IS a nice break from questing and grinding and running all over the galaxy. Plus, my favorite part is that at the very least one-three of your companions are in the action with you! Take my Smuggler. When I do space combat, I hear Corso and Risha in the background. Corso's telling me about the upcoming ships, most times the ones I need to shoot down, and I follow his voice. I wear head phones so I can hear their voices pretty well. I have immense fun listening to them make snide comments or give advice or even panic when they don't need to. I hope you don't remove the space combat. If other people don't like the combat, they don't have to play it. I really hope there will be an expansion sometime down the line. While my Smuggler is only 35 and she's in the middle of getting her 5th companion, I really do hope you guys add a few other Star Wars planets, that the level cap is raised and we have a second part to our class story line. Just because we finish the first one by the time we hit 50, it doesn't mean that our class journey is over. Please PLEASE add a second part to our storylines. That would be extra awesome. One piece of advice for you all, aside from fixing the important things people before me have already voiced many times, please DO NOT turn this game into a Star Wars version of WoW. Just because what worked (or didn't) for THAT game, doesn't necessarily mean it'd work for this game. I know there are others who play this game who enjoy it as much as I do. I will continue to subscribe as long as you guys are around and as long as there continues to be more and more story lines (which is ONE main reason why I'm here and not playing boring old WoW). Also, when you guys have fixed or added the more important things people have mentioned, PLEASE add more for our companions. As I said earlier, all of my companions feel like a part of my family and more interaction with them, quests or no quests, would be great! Cheers!
  7. I am currently loving this MMO. I used to be a hard core WoW player and I'd have fun playing that every day and doing the new content they'd come out with. But, Bioware? You all have definitely outdone yourselves! Before I begin, I just want to make clear that YES there ARE many bugs and issues that still need to be addressed and fixed, but overall, it's nothing that keeps me from playing. I will tell you what I love with the game, what bugs I've seen and I'm sure others have already voiced and some suggestions I'd love to see. Some of these suggestions are things that would make ME happy at least, but aren't things that must be in the game BEFORE the bugs and issues are fixed. What I love: I've played Everquest, Everquest 2, WoW and now this game. And the main things I absolutely love about this game are the little cut scenes in each quest. Usually quests are text only and boring. I barely ever read those before grabbing it and heading off to go collect/kill/retrieve whatever the quest wants me to. But in TOR every quest is a story in and of itself. I love how I can choose how to answer and the different reactions the quest givers give you. I even enjoy it when your companion gives his/her two cents on some of your choices. The voice over work was brilliant. This really makes me feel like I'm actually my character. Good job. I also love being able to romance your companion. I know it's not a vital piece in the game, but it's definitely a favorite of mine. I especially love it that you can flirt with NPCs and even bed them off screen. Very nice! Some bugs I've found: These are just a few issues/bugs I've run into. I'm not sure if others have addressed these or not, but I figured I'd list them. The end boss of chapter 1 for the Imperial Agent is really badly bugged. He fights you no problem, but if he stays on his little platform when you engage him, you get 'cannot see target'. I've found I have to send in Vector to engage him and then make my companion come back to me on passive to pull the Boss. It's not a major thing, but mostly annoying. I encounter this on a few regular NPCs you have to kill too. Next thing, I'm not sure if it's a computer thing or a game thing, but when I'm waiting to load a planet, especially Nar Shadda, it can take anywhere from 2-4 minutes. Other planets are just as long, but Nar Shadda takes the longest I've found. Companion bugs I've found is sometimes if they get blown back onto their backs, they'll stay laying down even while they're fighting. It's more of a nuisance then a big issue. Also sometimes their health will show they need to be healed, but when you use your healing ability it doesn't show they're being healed. I know you guys know about the ability thing where it looks like the ability is ready to use, but in actuality it isn't. It's more annoying then something that keeps me from playing, but I do hope you guys are looking into fixing it. Some suggestions for future patches: These are just personal suggestions. Some people may agree and some might not. But when you all are finished fixing the important things, these would be great additions to future patches. Companions---when you begin a relationship with your companion, it'd be great if when you're doing normal quests or even your class story line, that they give some inclination that you two are a couple. I know some people have relationships with their companion, but they don't actually use that companion as their fighting companion. But I think if you, say, have a relationship with Corso, that he acknowledges it in some of the quest dialogue when he's talking to you. Crew skills---I know people have commented that these feel worthless. Maybe make them more useful? Like at certain levels the items you craft are way better than drops or quest gear. Traveling---The traveling the way it is now isn't bad, just a lot of loading screens. Maybe cut out a few steps. Not everything, because I do like the reasoning for this, but 6 loading screens to come from or go to your ship is kind of annoying. Companions---Okay, I do understand, somewhat, why your companions only want to talk to you in a Cantina or on your ship, but most times, I have to run all the way to my ship just for the companion story lines. Some of them make sense, like when you're about to sleep with them, or you're welcoming them onboard, but if it's just a flirt, or they're telling you about their lives, or offering you a quest, I hate having to run to my ship for them to speak to me. Overall, I think you guys have done pretty well for a game that has only been live for a little over a month. People like to compare TOR to games that have been out for years. Also, 2012 or not, some things won't be the same. I mean, take WoW, since most people constantly compare you all to them. They've had 7 years to work out bugs (some of which are still happening) and it's popular. Maybe you guys have a different route you're going down and it will be nothing like previous MMOs. I find nothing wrong with your UI, nor with your graphics (though I DO wish there were better hair styles for the female characters cause a few of them are ugly) and I'm not here to going 'oh, well the *insert whatever someone has an issue with that has nothing to do with bugs* so I won't subscribe anymore'. I DO hope that when I hit 50 that PVPing isn't the ONLY thing to look forward to. If I wanted to pvp, I would have rolled on a pvp server. I play PVE and prefer to stay PVE. Occasional battlegrounds/warzones are fine, but I don't want to hit 50 and only do pvp. Good job, Bioware, and please remember to LISTEN to your playerbase. We're the ones who pay for and play the game. Thanks.
