  1. You're using the worst conversion rate. From what I've seen other people post, you can buy CC in bulk so that it is less than $1 per 100 CC. Then the price of unlimited WZs is cheaper than $10 a month.
  2. Yes, I know the all of the offhand armoring has lower stats. What I was referring to is other slots have EWH armorings with higher stats. http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/gear/42078/elite-war-hero-eliminators-belt http://swtor.askmrrobot.com/gear/42086/elite-war-hero-eliminators-generator For all of the previous tiers, the armoring stats on the offhand and the other slots have identical stats. That is why I believe it is a bug.
  3. Absolutely in PvP. Melee get targeted first, and the class just doesn't have that many defensive cooldowns especially in their DPS trees. Guardians only get a 3 minute c/d Saber Ward, and It isn't until the late 30s that we get our second defensive cooldown. Couple that with a lack of healers, and you'll be getting friendly with the respawn area. Although, even with the deaths, I could still do decent damage as a Guardian 200-300k in good games and after reaching level 40, I hit almost 500k in one game. I haven't had any trouble with PvE, even though I do die from time to time.
  4. It's a bug. If you look at the EWH armorings on other pieces of gear on askmrobot, they have more stats than WH armorings. But yeah, its still better to use the EWH armorings in the offhand for the bonus power.
  5. Please. No. For that games sake, stop the hype train for unreleased MMOs. People were hyping up GW2's WvWvW, but now that it has been released, it seems people are already moved on to set unrealistic expectations for the next big upcoming MMO
  6. Really? Is there a SS of that somewhere? As far as official statements, I haven't seen any commitment toward cross-server queues besides it being a possible option.
  7. Yup, a person might even be on a planet waiting for a PvP queue Leveling with questing is many times faster and the Class/Planet quests are quite good. The true measurement is what a person does with his time when he hits max level. In defense of SWTOR PvP, few months back I made the argument that PvP was more popular simply by looking at an hours played perspective. My data might be slewed from being on a PvP server though
  8. I very much agree with statement, and I have said in the past, that the adoption rate for F2P-players becoming PvPers is going to be almost non-existent with the current system. That's a shame, because I really do think the PvP in SWTOR is very fun. I just strongly disagree with the no gear solution, and I believe that would hurt the PvP's longevity just as much. Getting rid of expertise and treating PvP and PvE as equal paths of gear progression would be my ideal solution. Having a limited recruit bracket to ease to gear gap would be another one. People has to realize that even in the *popular* games with no gear disparity, there is often a very attractive goal to achieve. Climbing a ranking ladder works really well in 1v1 games like SC2. Earning currency to buy more heroes as well as a leveling system works well in LoL. Even popular shooters like CoD and BF are adding progression/unlock systems as incentives.
  9. If you're against gear progression in both PvE and PvP, and your favorite MMO is GW1, why the heck aren't you playing GW2? Also, your last paragraph has been addressed that brackets (matching like-skill) could achieve the same thing. That is something I've agreed with you in my original response. The problem is there simply isn't a big enough population to do that anymore. For the record, I am not against gear progression in PvE. The argument I was addressing was the claims of "skill". Regardless of the difficulty levels, the same argument can be applied to PvE. Why can't a "skilled" player do HM TfB the minute he hits max level then? The solution to gear disparity does not have to be no gear. There have been good suggestion posts of a limited recruit gear-only bracket that lets people get just enough comms for BM before being put into the normal queue. 11 month old game vs 2 month old game that was hyped to have PvP good enough to be an e-sport. I'm actually genuinely surprised at the fallout of GW2 PvP, especially for a game without a subscription.

    Hack or not?

Bind target nearest enemy. I know I'll get flak from the whiners, but tab targeting in this game is fine. It's not going to magically target who you want 100% of the time. If you already tabbed to that target, it is going to cycle through the other targets first. What isn't fine is actually manually clicking on targets in this game is way harder. Cycling targets to interrupt the healer in the back takes too long, and those are times I want to click the target manually.
  11. If you emphasis "sub-50", you would probably get less knee-jerk responses I agree though. There should be gear every 8 levels (20, 28, 36,42) and weapons every 5 levels (15,20,25,30,35,40,45) including the offhand. The daily should also give us comms, rather than the loot box. I've found it way more efficient to just buy PvP health pots/adrenals and sell them instead. No way a level 20 chest is worth 50k credits. You could buy something much better off the GTN.
  12. ^ #3 could easily be re-worded as a reason for why gear matters too much in PvE and why F2P players won't do Operations as a result. What's wrong with having skill-based PvE too? I'm guessing the OP would not be want PvE to only reward cosmetic gear though. When does the stupid hype-train stop for unreleased MMOs? It amazes me how people have forgotten GW2 when it was plastered all over SWTOR's forums. Isn't what you're saying exactly why GW2 was supposed to be so awesome? I agree, and to take it a step further, even Call of Duty and Battlefield have progression systems now. Progression systems might scare some people away, but it also keeps the people who are interested playing longer and more often. If Starcraft and Street Fighter didn't have a ladder system, ranking, or tournaments, the majority of players would get bored too.
  13. +$4 shipping and sold by a third party. L2 Amazon. I was going to buy a copy but it's not sold or fulfilled by Amazon. The game might not even finish shipping by the time the game goes F2P.
  14. Roots are definitely on DR in WoW. Entangling Roots doesn't have a cooldown but the effect is on DR. Only slow I know that has had diminishing returns in WoW is Frostshock. Different game though.
  15. Cya. I suggest going to school with the extra time you freed up
  16. Yup, especially true in lowbie PvP. The whiner usually has like 50k damage OR 30k healing and that's it.
  17. lol @ "outcry". The patch is on PTR and they are testing it. I'd rather they take their time than screw up live servers with annoying bugs. Especially since they are introducing F2P with 1.5. Just to set expectations for the future, the pessimist in me thinks the 6 week schedule is a pipe dream post 1.6 (the warzone content is close to done already).
  18. Yeah really. Seems like there are 4 active ones today. We get it. No really, we do. Even Bioware has responded to one of these threads already.
  19. CW changes things, and like others said, it depends on how much health your teammates starts the fight at vs the other two players. If he joined you with 80%-100% health, I would just engage. You have the advantage since respawning with the side speeders are so fast. You can also screw up and get "sap" capped after your partner dies. Better to get in combat and use respawns to your advantage.
  20. So? You really whine about anything don't you. Do you realize that the person transferring mods has the valor level on his main? And that the comms are not free and still needed to be earned? Or that legacy gear costs ~600k-1.2 mil, and removing the mods costs another ~350k? What would be the point of expensive legacy gear compared to other orange gear if they weren't used to transfer mods?
  21. I would jump in if it's 2v2. At worst, you leave one of them alive while you and your teammate get back quicker due to the closer spawn (not sure what base "grass" is on Novare). If you are outnumbered, then let your teammate die while calling for help.
