  1. Lol....highest reward I have seen as winner was 140 (and it was a 3-4minute roflstomp huttball). When I lose, I average around 80-90 comms. 3x higher means that you dont get more than 1-2 medals and your team is crushed in seconds. You dont deserve reward then. Fight, dont afk at your 1 turret, play a team game not team death match and your rewards will be higher. Otherwise, you simple get as many as you are worth - zero.

So, according to your logic, fact that mara/sent can use this skill only when very low, so it is predictable and cannot be used to negate some predictable burst from enemy (like for example force shroud can be) or negate focus fire in moment chosen by the user, or to walk through without any drawback whatsoever is not a negative aspect of this skill? It cost 50% health, so it can be used only when low on hp, not in moment that could be better (when you see project animation from shadow who popped CDs and relic/adrenal for example). If health cost is neglible, why not ask BW to remove it? THEN it would be an OP ability;)

There is a class with high damage output, especialy when geared, considerable self healing (as long as it is able to whack on something), pretty good gap closer, basicaly spammable slow and on top of that when it get low on hp, he can get immortality for 5 seconds. What am I talking about? Marauder/sentinel? No. I am talking about champion named Tryndamere in LoL. It has very similar skill package (simplification, I know, but they have 4 skills only there;)) He is considered overpowered in low elo play and half-useless in high elo play. Why? Because he is kitable, burstable and immortality period is easily countered by CC+dot. Same here. Immortality is easily countered by CC, kiting+dots. I know many players are not able to do this, but it is not a reason to change ability, this is a reason for them to learn...
  4. Dont worry, when all FOTM rerollers will notice that being marauder is not making them invicible and spamming tracer/force lighting nets the same numbers (or better) at the end of WZ while being easier to play they will go back to their sorcs/marcenaries
  5. Or you can exchange those ranked comms into normal comms (1:1 rate) and with 6000 comms you can get before lev 50 buy yourself half BM gear;)
  6. Class I as marauder fear the most are GS/snipers. When they have a good position and focus on me, I am lucky if I will take them down to 30% (if I have all my CDs up). Ofc, when they are shooting someone else and I can get on them, whack them a bit before they turn to me I have some chances (especially now with obfuscate buying me few more seconds because I can time it better), but otherwise...LoS and run away are my best options. I am sorry that you have problems with marauders as GS, looks like valor levels are meaningless after all. I agree completly (maybe with exception of "3 other sentinels" part). Now, why are we arguing in the first place?
  7. I am sorry, I was talking about current state of game, so mostly PuGs. I agree that carnage is great spec with good utility and still powerful damage, but you cannot shutdown healer as good as anni, you will lose more 1v1 because of lack of self heal and your burst period (after gore) is easily countered by single CC. Sure, big part of anni damage is countered by a single cleanse and when poeple will actually learn to play (ie. ranked WZ with organized groups) carnage may be a better choice (or at least equal). For a standard PuGs (which are main source of marauders are OP complains IMO) anni still > all.
  8. Funniest thing about those PTS warning is that prevailing amount of them was about RAGE marauders, who were supposed to swarm like ants, jump on enemy team and insta gib them all. Well, I dont see that after 1.2, and in coordinated play if you cant counter a 1 trick pony team (save aoe knockback, when 2+ marauders charge you, press button, thank you, you just made their main source of damage non-existant for next 9 seconds). Now, from my experience (maybe situation is different on other servers) most marauders are annihilation (and sent are watchman). Lets see what has changed for this spec: 1. Obfucate without rage cost (minor, 1 rage every minute?) and off GCD (quite big, it is definately a buff). 2. Interrupt whithout rage cost (pretty big - helps with rage management) 3. 15% buff to ravage, ravage cant be interrupted - minor - you rarely have time for full ravage, getting hit by CC or victim walking away from it happens very often (if enemy knows what he is doing, sorc trying to outdamage you standing in melee range spamming force lighting do not count). Two first hits are very useful ofc, so minor buff. 4. 50% slow on rupture if specced - nice thing, quality of life improvement - my tragets tend to have to slows on them now instead of only 1;) 5. Moving 80% run speed buff to carnage - painful nerf. I specced combat after 1.2 and omg, this guy was unkitable...unfortunately, without dots heals he was squishy as hell too 6. No more 100% damage reduction on phantom - big nerf. No more 9 sec on invicibility, no more walking through fire (without ball ofc) etc. 7. Removal of quick recovery - nerf, no more converting of excess rage into fury, less berserks/predations. Overall - where are those extreme buffs everyone speaks about? Sure, carnage was buffed, rage was buffed, but they are still weaker than annihilation, which IMO was rather nerfed than buffed. Now, ranged classed was destroyed. Which ones? Sorcs? Do you support theory that wrath was working as it should be (especially comparing to madness assasin version of that talent)? Mercenaries? That right after patch was putting some stupid high damage because of bug, now they have stupid low (on heetseekers) because of bug too (it will equalize) - you honestly want to evaluate class with known bug on highest hitting skill? Maybe snipers, who just got some new damage buffs? Or powertechs, which are not only not a range class, but one of the most powerful DPSer in game? OP made a good post, I dont completly agree with everything, but highlight are fine. Marauders are powerful, whithout a doubt, but they basicaly didnt change much - annihilation was annihilation opponents before 1.2, it is anninhilating them now and suddenly it is OP. I ask - what has changed?
  9. Oh good, you provided me opportunity to ask a question that bugs me for quite a long time now. Can someone point me to some MMO where you can NOT be stunned for 8 seconds? Because, you know, your opinion is pretty popular in pvp forum (you should not be stunned for 8 sec in the row) and I would really want to know if there is any MMO that make this happen.
  10. Ok, fine, but this is argument used against obvious and blatant liars who lurks this forum with completly false claims. They are very common and easy to spot (cant give link, I have enough warnings thank you). Is this possible that once per every 1000 use of CC abilites something is not working as it should? Of course it is. It may be lag, it may be some bug (ie. some combination of location, used skills, movement and cooldowns) or something like this. Does it mean that resolve is bugged and not working system? I think not. Can you be stunned for 20 seconds? No way. Asking for video proof is easiest way to counter this kind of stuff. Resolve is good system, maybe some tweaks would make it even better, but changing it to some DR system would probably cause disaster. I dont want that, I like pvp here to much;)
  11. Oh I know it is not yours. This is why I ask if you know what gear was this jugg wearing and what gear was this smuggler wearing. And of course, fact that it is not your video does not change fact that it is proof that white resolve lasts longer than 9 seconds for sure;)
  12. And this is a flame bait. How classic compalint about resolve starts? "I was chain stunned to death, QQ, fix that, I pay my subscription and I should have right to play my char not look as it die (after charging into 1v4 without backup)". And then we have normal "you can be stunned 5 times in the row", "*insert class name* can stunlock you 100%>0% (ignoring those 2 snipers in the back tearing you apart)", "*insert class name* stun is not adding resolve (because I dont pay attention to this broken resolve bar)" and classic "I ]was stunned with white resolve bar (ie. when I looked at my resolve bar after being stunned it was white, so it was for sure white before I got stunned too)".

According to the forum sorcs were OP, marauders were UP, healers are useless, you can be stunned for 30 seconds in the row, you can be 2 shotted by marauder in equal gear, BW intentionaly gimps republic and will never nerf sorcs because all devs play sorcs etc. Do you believe in everything you read here? Fact that people who do not understand resolve complain about it and claim it is bugged is well known. Fun fact is that many of those people quickly provide proofs for their lack of knowledge about resolve and game/class mechanics like "powertechs dont have any skill that make them immune to CC, I know because I play one" (it was my favourite;)) Why exactly complain from someone who has no clue what he is talking about should be treated seriously?

  15. When they stated they will add roots/snares to resolve? Where it was posted? Now you provide link please. You asked for link with dev statement about resolve and roots, here you go. Your turn.
  16. You cant when stunned. But you cant be stunned for longer than 8 seconds, which gives OP 12 seconds when he was able to pass, just unable to move because of root. ROots/snares do not prevent use of abilities.
  17. Did your stun do damage? Were you observing your target for a longer time or just switched targed and fired off stun?

  19. Yes, you are wrong. You are wrong in every single sentence you post about resolve (slight exaggeration, it is possible you were right once or twice). Seriously, I have done serious testing of resolve and I know what I am talking about, your own video example proves you wrong.

And you are right. Since I have done excesive testing of resolve system, this will be my answer to anyone stating that resolve is bugged - proof or it is BS. If you dont have proof, cant provide one, cant reproduce situation, cant even describe it in details (I used my skill against this guy with no resolve and it didnt work! is not a detailed description) than why even posting this? Every single thing I post about resolve is easy to reproduce, test or find video for.

So, you dont see a differnece between 8sec and 12 sec (where 12 sec is minimum, when you get stunned and sstun fills your resolve bar you will usually have between 15 and 20 seconds of immunity)? So I may safely assume you dont see a difference between being taken down from 100% to 10% during 1 stun and being taken down from 80% to 30% during said stun by 2 players? TTK (which is btw a proof that most people are sheeps, 1 guy use it at his blog and voila, it becames most often used term in pvp forum) has changed in 1.2 only in group situation. Why? Because healers had their half-god mode turned off, some of them cant adapt, some of them rage rerolled/quitted/respecced so you have less healing to ofset damage. Expertise changes increased amount of damage by 1,76% against same exp targets. Of course when you had remodded BM gear, champ/cent gear or partially/fully pve gear you dropped like a fly. I think people slowly learn that recruit/BM/WH are BiS for pvp and wearing anything else is a suicide, but it will take so time... What class I play? And how that matters? But here you are, in the order of starting characters I have marauder, assasin, vanguard and mercenary. All af them well known from stunlocking people to death... Oh thank you, but I am not, seriously. I got 1 warning today from telling one troll what I think about him, I dont want to get second;)
  22. Of course, that would mean you can be stunned only once per 20 seconds (second stun fills resolve and breaks on its own). So, why have any resolve? Lets all get CC immunity for 20 seconds (or make it half an hour to be sure) after being affected by any CC. Then we can call this game dps vs hps instead of SW TOR and everyone will be happy!!!! Of course huttball will be unplayable, but who cares, you wont be CCed anymore! PS. You cannot do such changes without massive redesign of all combat system and most classes. Do some research about resolve then you will probably understand I am right on this.
  23. 1. It is impossible for anyone (BW including) to prove that something (including resolve) is bug-free. Why? Because it is logicaly impossible to prove lack of existence of something (otherewise we would have only 1 (or none) reiligion). On the other hand proving that resolve is bugged is very easy - 1 video is enough. 2. If I would only read posts from people claiming that resolve is bugged I would think that they enounter those buggs in every other WZ. Since they do and resolve is bugged, everyone should. There is a lot of youtube pvp videos - if the problem is so prevalent, it should be captured in at least 1 of them. Therefore, give me a link to such video. I never said "it has to be your video". I will accept any proof (with exception fairy tales, I can give you some of those too if you want).
  24. And reading any further is just not necessary. Do your fraps and then check with stopwatch how long last white resolve. I know that it cannot last less than 12 seconds (and it will only last so short in 1 situation - when you are hit by 600points CC, like force choke, and then by 400points CC, like force push), you will learn it by your own if you dont believe me. PS. If you would be so nice and watch that video of pwned jugg - you wil notice that his resolve turned white at 8sec and when video ends at 17sec it is still more than 3/4 of the visible bar.
  25. Oh, those nasty sentinelsmarauders and their stunlock...their 3 sec channeled force choke is totaly OP - you know, it is so powerful that it basicaly stuns them too! And their awe/intimidating roar, it totaly breaks on first damage taken, they stun lock me with it constantly and drop to zero hp! NERF THIS!!!111!!!!1!! He quoted someone who claims that some stuns do not generate resolve. Since he used "SOME" not "sometimes" then it should be easy to reproduce, am I right?
